We arrived at this restaurant at 12.30pm on 29th June having reserved a table for lunch through Open Table. The booking was confirmed on 20th June, and confirmation that we would be attending was requested on 28th June by Open Table. We confirmed our booking. On arrival the restaurant was closed, with no messages advising of the reason. On telephoning the restaurant, we were transferred to a mobile number. No response to our call has been received. Having driven 25 miles we were extremely frustrated and annoyed by this attitude, and the rudeness of failing to advise us of the closure, or provide any form of response to us.

Been in here twice now as we have found space here to sit and relax when other cafes have been busy. On both occasions we have had a tea & cappuccino as well as a bacon, egg and cheeses sandwich. On both occasions we have had a good experience here, the bacon being cooked nice and crisp and the egg not runny which is just how we both like it, give this cafe/ restaurant a go if you are in town as it is a friendly and pleasant place to go.

The food is fairly authentic, portion sizes are good, although the price is medium-to-higher. Nicely presented, good ambience and the staff are friendly

We hadn’t been for a long time and had been recommended to return. We were really pleased we did. The restaurant is really well located next to the river at Bray Marina. Lovely views from the conservatory which is nicely furnished with comfortable seating. The food was very good and served hot. There is a good choice on the children’s menu and our grandson really rated the burger! Service was good throughout and friendly. We will certainly be returning again.

Terrible Experience – Caused Food Poisoning My parents dined at The Old Custom House and had a terrible experience. Within an hour of eating, they started vomiting multiple times, clearly indicating food poisoning. This is completely unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that should uphold proper food hygiene standards. We are extremely disappointed and concerned about the safety of the food being served. I strongly urge the management to take food safety seriously and ensure this doesn’t happen to others. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and as always, did not disappoint. The food is exceptional and creative. The waiting staff are attentive, polite, friendly and thoughtful. The lunchtime atmosphere is always great. Even when you try something new on the menu it doesn’t disappoint.

We sat inside at one of the window seats, with a lovely view over the harbour. The food was really good, we had 2 dishes each, which was plenty for lunch. My favourite dish was the tuna, beans and artichokes. I love the character of the old building, and how they've made the most of the space. It is a converted boat shed on a harbour wall, don't expect luxury, but you are there for the location, the view and the food. I think that it is unfair that people have marked the restaurant down based on their toilets when they clearly state on their website that the toilet facilities are basic. We went to one of the many local pubs afterwards, problem solved.

It’s a huge place, lots of space, the decor is great and cool to look at all the decor. Service was excellent, nothing was a problem. The staff were friendly and attentive. But not over powering. We were well looked after throughout the meal. Reasonably priced and good portion sizes, the food was hot, spicy and delicious. Good menu and drinks menu. Can’t fault this place :)
