The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in North West

Honestly shocked that this place has 4.4 stars. We went on a Monday night and it was very quiet so no excuse for slow service, yet that's exactly what we got. Waited about twenty minutes to have our order taken, and was slightly disappointed that they weren't prepared to do gyros, because we arrived after the time limit. Opted to have moussaka instead, but was told that it would take half an hour, while others in the party would be served more quickly. Changed to the Metaxa chicken, with olives as an appetiser, but after five minutes we were told that there were no olives! And then waited thirty five minutes for the order to come out, only for the chicken to be overcooked, dry, and chewy. Others in the party had food that was okay, but nothing to write home about. All in all, a real let down, especially given that it's not cheap.

Slippery little joint this place no wonder it's vanished, awful inconsistent microwaved food

Clearly some management supervision is needed here given the young staff were more interested in standing chatting in the beverage area than paying attention to customers. We popped in for lunch at 12.45, wasn’t sure about the arrangement for just sitting or waiting to be seated, but a young lad told us we could sit anywhere. However we then had to get up to ask for menus, we had to get up to ask for our order to be taken, we had to get up to return our ‘flat’ Diet Coke, and all the while sitting with other people’s dirty crockery on our table (and all the other tables). Buttermilk chicken burger had nice flavour, but nothing came with it (salad or fries) and nothing was ‘offered’. Very disappointing experience in a lovely venue which could and should have been so much better. Young staff need supervision .

Many restaurants in Lytham come and go, many come in and out of fashion. However, Spago has over the years firmly established itself as one of the best restaurants on the Fylde. My wife and I visited for lunch today and enjoyed the lunchtime tapas dishes. As always the food was delicious, great choice, beautifully presented, well cooked and very tasty. This was complimented by first class service. The staff were excellent: welcoming, friendly and attentive, striking the perfect balance between being helpful, but not overbearing. Very enjoyable as always.

Had a t-bone steak and the missus had a fillet. My t-bone was probably the best ive ever had. I like to think i can cook steak pretty good with my smoker and fancy temp probs but they out did me and im not even bothered, just want to know what them did different. Hahah

Totally heart broken to hear Aladdins has closed 😢 All the food was excellent but the Sujuk was the BEST we’ve EVER had & we’ve tried plenty!

The food was amazing and plentiful. I had Sunday roast , my partner had the soup with an Italian baguette. Alex our server went above and beyond and was so helpful, friendly and professional

The sangria did not have a pleasant taste, it was very simple (a fairly strong taste of water with wine), the place is old and with little space (you practically eat glued to the next table) it needs a renovation in terms of place and furniture. The price with tip was $300 dollars, we were three people, it is acceptable.

Went with a family group of 13. Fantastic food and drink. The service was excellent. Food came out on time. Even remembered who ordered what food. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Fantastic night great bands in a great venue

First off, the food is delicious. I have been to this place many times with my family. Second, if you do not have iskender kebab, could you please remove it as an option. I visited last week and the person who took our order was rude, in a passive aggressive way. We took some time and decided on iskender kebab. We tried to order and this person said it is not available. (I reminded my husband later that it has never been available since late 2023…I am writing this because it is related to this incident). So we had to take some more time to decide again. We are a family so it takes time to decide on the meal yet we took only two or three more minutes and the person didn’t say anything but huffed and puffed and made us feel like we were wasting their time. Pertinent to mention here that we were the only people there. My child saw it too and didn’t feel good about it. It was quite a bad attitude to display in front of a child. But, anyway, I thought I will just let you know. May be it was a bad day.

I was made to feel very welcome. Ask for some advice on the menu. In less than two minutes I had ordered two dishes based on my tastes. Got them home and they were both absolutely lovely. Price was good value and I will certainly go again .
