Went here last minute for a midweek tea. Wasn't busy so easy to get seat Staff were really nice. Can't fault them. Very attentive. We got 3 small.plates each and they were small ! If you have someone with a large appetite would recommend getting 9 plates between 2. Anyway it was nice . The noodles were a bit off putting as they were thick and reminded me of worms but tasty nevertheless Enjoyed a bottle of wine Dessert was fudge cake (to dry) with ice cream Overall a nice evening.

We went to 51 for our staff Christmas night out, we had a party of 18 and all took part in the bottomless brunch. The staff were so accommodating and attentive making sure we all had what we needed. The food was absolutely stunning, we have all agreed to come back soon. Thanks so much!

Visited this restaurant quite a few times Always had a good experience, last night was disappointing, the restaurant was cold, I had to keep my coat on! We ordered the small plates 6 The bread and hummus, the hummus was full of some kind of curry powder, which was also over the tray, don’t know how on earth they managed to slice the bread that thin it was wafers thin! Meatballs were dry and the sauce was full of sugar Prawns were like rubber Chicken wings and ribs were covered in a sticky sweet sauce that tasted like it was from jar The onion bhajis were burnt and inedible We did express our concerns and the server said she would give our feedback to the chef, the bread and a beer was taken off the bill, but we would of liked 6 plates of decent food We won’t be returning

3 for £20 small plates and that is what you get-3 very small plates. 2 small meatballs, 5 strips is calamari and two tiny tacos with a small strip of breaded chicken on each. Place was empty and I understand why. Won’t be returning

We have been to 51 Mill Lane a number of times over the years but the most recent (last week) was not a good experience. The place was empty but we were sat on a small table at the very back which I can't understand if you're ordering 6/7 dishes. The waitress was ok but the food...really gone downhill from previous visits. We known its tapas so expect small but 1 calamari piece each.. The meatballs were dry and burnt looking and were given a wrong order as it 'sounded like' another dish, we kept it as we had to leave but on the whole a really disappointing visit and prob won't go back on this basis.

Visited on Friday 6th September 24 We had a drink in the outdoor space while we waited for the rest to arrive and were given the option of bottomless brunch or to order from the main menu. 5 out of 6 selected bottomless and our drinks order was taken. They kindly said we could include lemoncello spritz in the bottomless. The 1st drinks were fine but the rest seemed to take an age to arrive, not a good sign when doing bottomless! We mentioned this and were told that everyone is on the bottomless, this is just an excuse - get more staff, the bar staff obviously need help. At one point we had to retrieve a glass of wine which had been forgotten from our order, from the bar ourselves as it had been sat there for a while. We hadn’t asked for the ice that was in it which meant it was watered down and we felt that the alcohol was lacking in most of the drinks. One of the calamari dishes only had 2 pieces (others at least 5), the fish (& chips) was still translucent, slimy and undercooked and the worst dish was the Greek salad. It looked like it had been made last week and had sat festering in its own juices which made it look like a thick soup. They did their best when we complained but we felt that the food was poor, it shouldn’t be hard to heat up frozen stuff! The chef has either given up or not been trained adequately. Salads should be prepped and dressed only when ready to serve. Not left to fester in a litre of oil so that it resembles soup. Overall not the worst but also not the best experience. Would we revisit - no. We would expect when you eat out, that the food is better than what you get at home but this wasn’t

We went for dinner for Valentines as it's one of our favourite restaurantes. We got a selection of hot mezze to share which we couldn't even finish. The new restaurant area is gorgeous, decoration is great and creates a beautiful atmosphere. The selection of vegan/vegetarian food is amazing and clearly labelled.

1st time to this particular so salsa usually go to Crosby and will be continuing to go to Crosby in future. No atmosphere here just like a simple bistro. The menu is pretty limited. Ordered "supposedly duck spring rolls" 3 for £8 was more like a veggie spring roll with ho sin dip no duck inside, ordered 2 3oz fillet steaks, asked how it was to be cooked I asked 1 medium rare 1 medium both came to the table well done. Salt and pepper chicken wraps litrally 4 tiny strips of chicken and mostly peppers, gave an order of hulloomi to be made plain with no sauce for my grandson that came to the table with sauce on had to wait to be cooked again. £135 was spent and the only thong I could recommend was the strawberry sangria which was amazing. Was looking forward to trying here was a late mothers day treat and left totally disappointed, would not recommend and would not return.
