It was absolutely amazing the new venue in the first floor, 10/10 atmosphere and decoration. The service was very friendly. Foods was very testy. Very recommended

We always appreciate the warm welcome and tasty food at Damas. It’s a great location and such a contrast to the chaos of many of the nearby Bold St restaurants. BYOB is another bonus. Can’t wait to see the new upstairs. A great recommendation

I was the one who kindly requested you to lower the volume of the music. If you couldn’t do it, you could have simply said so. Instead, you lowered it briefly and then turned it up even louder after a minute! When you ask customers about the service, you should be open to all feedback. However, you responded with disrespectful and inappropriate language, showing no consideration for a woman and her baby. Additionally, the waitress brought the food to our table but left without providing any cutlery. To make matters worse, you repeatedly asked about our nationality—are you trying to be racist?"

Beautiful food, great service, and really enjoyed the new upstairs decor! Support this wonderful city centre restaurant. Reasonably priced Middle Eastern food in lovely location. Would recommend!

Utter Rubbish at this Restaurant Blimey, Damas Restaurant is an absolute joke! I reckon it’s the worst place I’ve ever been to in the UK. First off, the food was saggy and tasted proper awful. I couldn't believe it! When I tried to have a word with the manager, he was a right tosser—rude and arrogant, almost ready to throw down just for us sharing our thoughts! The music was ridiculously loud. We asked them to turn it down, and the block pretended to do it for a tick before cranking it back up to maximum. It was unbearable! The lighting was dreadful—just dim and dingy. And get this: there was no cutlery on the table. When we asked for some, the staff got all huffy and pointed us to another table. What's that about? They claim to serve halal food, but there was no certificate anywhere. It's hard to take their word for it. To top it all off, I got insulted about my ethnicity and family, and he even tried to push my daughters tram away. Honestly, this place is a complete shambles. Do yourself a favor and give Damas Restaurant a wide area! Man, this Damas restaurant is a real joke! I think it's the worst place I've been to in the UK. First of all, the food was cold and tasted terrible. You are not right! When I tried to talk to the manager, he was rude and arrogant, as if he wanted to hit us just because we shared our opinion! The songs were insanely loud. We asked them to lower the volume, and the boy pretended to do so for a second before turning the volume back up to the highest level. Oh man, it's out of scope! The lighting was terrible—but it was dark and dark and you couldn't see anything. There were no knives and forks on the table. When we ordered, the employee got upset and started pointing at other tables. What is this? They say they serve halal food, but there was no certificate for this. It's hard to believe them. Finally, the manager insulted me and my family, and even tried to push my daughter away! Honestly, this place is a complete mess and it's not worth your oven. Do me a favor and stay away from this restaurant!

Came here for a big group birthday dinner and BYOB, and had honestly the bestt experience ! we rang multiple times to organise numbers, food and music and each time you were so helpful and lovely. The food was amazing, thank you to Fadi and everyone else at the restaurant ! xx

The amounts are very small, there's no flavour at all, doesn't deserve my money's worth. I will never get back.

The most delicious Falafel & Halloumi wrap of my life. So incredibly tasty and substantial. Very good value for money. Eaten here twice this week and will again for sure. The staff hand draw little notes which is so adorable and a very nice touch. 10/10 🩵

Absolute boss food & friendly staff, nice chill quiet spot in the city. Very affordable so you can eat like royalty and not break the bank. Deffo try the freshly made lemonade and falafel if you can. Loads of vegan & vegetarian options for groups with mixed dietary requirements.

Update from previous review. Damas must serve the best Lebanese and Mediterranean food in Liverpool, always tasty, piping hot and great value. We try to visit every week. ..... My previous review .... Yet another take-away meal from Damas Renshaw Street, Liverpool. This place is a gem. Meals delicious as usual and great value for money. After sampling many different dishes, my usual order is now Shish Tauok with rice, Hummus and just one portion of Baklava.. even driving home the food is always hot and so good. I can honestly state that we’ve never had a bad meal. Can’t wait to visit the restaurant after Lockdown.

Great place to dine out. Affordable food cost. The taste is sooooo good. I had falafels, Hummus, Chicken Shawarma and Halawet El Jibn. All tasted sooo amazing. Falafel were nice and crispy. The dessert was OH SO GOOD!. I am surely going to visit this soon again.

Pre-booked table for 6 with no issues despite it being a Friday. Service very attentive and polite. Not licenced for alcohol. Limited menu but food of really good standard. Prices were also really good. Starter, main and dessert with a drink all for £25 each. Would certainly recommend.

Nowadays, it’s rare to dine somewhere or eat food that’s made with real, pure love. I can vouch for this restaurant. That their food and overall service, is indeed 100/10. I highly recommend their homemade desserts! (Yes, I said homemade, rare isn’t it? My favourite is the chocolate cheesecake), and try out their wide range Mediterranean dishes, full of flavour, yet nutritional benefits too. Thank you Damas🫶🏼🩵

An excellent restaurant. My visit was with my family. The English introduction to the food is excellent and cheerful. The grilling teacher is very, very excellent. He is cheerful and kind. He has a sweet and respectful soul. We will not forget the taste. The taste of the food is very excellent. The meat kebab reminds me of Iranian restaurants. The restaurant’s total deserves 5 and more.

The Falafel wraps are spectacular .Fresh Limonana is something else. Staff are friendly, service is impeccable and the high standard food is very reasonably priced. 10/10

Took a very long time although I was the only customer at the restaurant. The lamb wrap was awful. Not sure what was wrong, maybe some of the ingredients were expired...

ended up getting takeaway while enduring covid, and realised as I started eating my taste had gone. And honestly I still really enjoyed it, just based on texture and the little taste I had!!

Nice quite place as away from hustle and bustle the curry mile. I ordered haloumi cheese and mixed grill. Cost £19 in total. Fresh crisp salad, juicy haloumi and succulent tender meat. Big portions too. J MENU attached.

Went last week for dinner. Food was really nice and filling. Prices are good too for what you get. We had the £13.99 2 course menu. Both lamb dishes. The star of the meal was the okra soup... Had a bit of trouble with bank transfer because the card machine was broken. Would prefer if we were told before dining. Other than that, food were great and staff were decent.

Excellent Middle Eastern food. I am a vegan and had plenty to choose from and was very well catered for. Their hummus is to die for.

Perhaps the most authentic Lebanese restaurant in Liverpool. The mixed grill is the signature dish. Make sure you start with a vegetarian mezze but then order another hummus with your mains. The fresh mint/lemonade is perfect and the baklava to top off the meal was perfect.

Home made cheesecake is soooo yummy you must try this for sure! Lovely kind staff who served us late at night. Didn't give us the evil stares as one does when late customers arrive. Very friendly. Lovely atmosphere. We hope to have some hot food next time.... and the chocolate cheesecake next too 😋 Keep up the good work!

I've been there yesterday and it was amazing, we ordered chicken shawarma and kofte kebab and it tasted so good, staff were so nice and friendly too! I would highly recommend you try it as well.

We've been going to Damas for several years and without a doubt it is our favourite haunt. There are numerous aspects which continue to infuse our fondness, including: To start, the food is superb. We have our favourite dishes which we tend to stick to and which have never failed to disappoint - always flavorsome and satisfying. Many of our friends have dabbled with the other dishes, such as the meats menu, and by all accounts they were very content with some even turning into now regulars; Secondly, the welcome. Fadi and co. have always been so warm and friendly. We have shared many stories and discussions over the years which adds to the atmosphere, the fitting in, the warm hospitality. This personal dimension to, and investment in, the experience is so tangible, palpable, and significant, evident in the overall investment, not only in the food, but in the atmosphere, the decor, and the general environ. I believe Fadi did all the art work and design which is impressive in itself; Thirdly, the relaxed mode. We have always just felt relaxed here. I think this commenced with the possibility to bring one's own wine or beer, but has become much more than this. I would say the music is also a contributor - the eclectic array of Middle Eastern music is always intriguing. Fourthly, we've held a few parties here, e.g., 40th. Fadi has always gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure these have gone swimmingly. There is ample space, including upstairs which Fadi has always made available to accommodate our guests. We'll certainly be taking advantage of the upstairs open spaces when things return to 'normal'. Finally, I think it is the simplicity which matters most. There is nothing extravagant, no bells and whistles nor any pretentions. This suits us down to a tee.

Top quality food, top quality service. Such a shame we’re only in Liverpool for a short time otherwise this would so be our new local fave! We had Beiruty Hummus and Falafels followed by Shish Taouk and Kabsah. Authentic taste just how we enjoy it when we’re travelling in the Middle East!

We travelled to Liverpool for business last year. Thus, decided to have a late lunch. The Chef/owner is MISERABLE, he messed up our order! And he did not honour the lunch time discount advertised outside, on their aboard. The food tasted average, and the portions are smaller than average. The waitress is very nice!

Had a takeaway on Wednesday. Loved it . Try the Damas special . Spinach and Feta pastie . Very large and extremely good value . We also had spices lamb and chicken dishes with all.the trimmings . Friendly place. A gem !

Been in liverpool 4 years. So upset it took me this long to find this restaurant. Try the lamb Kabbsa! The food here is 20\10. Always greeted with a warm smile either ordering on the phone or going in house. Cannot stress how good and fresh their food is!

Visited a few weeks ago (mid Jan). Easy to locate, clean and presentable restuarant. Lived the music. The atmosphere was lacking as it was a quiet night in January. I'd have lived to have been there with a few more tables filled. Food was tasty and portion sizes standard to large. I had chicken with yoghurt and almonds which was tasty. Food was pipping hot and you could see the chef cooking. Card machine was broken so had to leave to get cash at the end of the meal - I'd have liked to have been told this on arrival. A little disappointedwwith the fresh mint tea, had mint but very little tea or the waitress forgot to add the tea - these were the minor things which would have improved my visit. I'd definitely return. Also judging by the no. of Deliveroo collections, this is a popular option.

Absolutely my place to go for food, great little cafe .. right in the heart of Liverpool ! Fresh quality food , great staff and amazing atmosphere and the place is spotless have tried most of the food, me and my partner come here every chance I get to ‘eat out’ even if we don’t go to town we order from just eat/Deliveroo would 100 percent recommend the mix grill😍 also have tried the chicken shawarma wrap/burger wouldn’t go anywhere else for food.. great little find
