Couldn't even get a risotto right. Serves better champagne than food.

Lovely place to dine outside and enjoy the weather, with lovely authentic food. Dog friendly outside too, whilst being protected from the elements.

Superb. Really attentive staff was people watching from a back table. Food was really great, wine was tip top. Can’t recommend this place anymore.

Visited here as it was highly recommended but will not be back. Food, decor and service were good but the experience was wasted by the hygiene standards of the young, female member of waiting staff with the long, straight, brown hair worn in a pony tail. She continually touched her hair, chewed her nails and placed the chain and pendant around her neck into her mouth and touched the ring in her nose. Disappointed.

Many restaurants in Lytham come and go, many come in and out of fashion. However, Spago has over the years firmly established itself as one of the best restaurants on the Fylde. My wife and I visited for lunch today and enjoyed the lunchtime tapas dishes. As always the food was delicious, great choice, beautifully presented, well cooked and very tasty. This was complimented by first class service. The staff were excellent: welcoming, friendly and attentive, striking the perfect balance between being helpful, but not overbearing. Very enjoyable as always.

They could not of been more helpful in any way at all , I asked if they could do nuggets and chips for my autistic son as that's all he would eat it wasn't on the menu but they sorted it out did him chicken goujons , and I have to say more often than not you just get told we don't do them , but the food and service were first class 100% delicious so many wonderful different tastes I will definitely go back again and again also would gladly recommend to anyone

I have never left a restaurant as angry before!! Very average food shocked at all the good reviews to be honest clearly no taste buds. Over priced food!! One ‘Italian’ talking RUDE waiter!! Shocking service all round. I’ve also never been to somewhere that you cannot split the bill. Was told that after splitting the bill things will be left over but clearly that’s the whole point of splitting a bill everyone pays for what they had. Ridiculous and not somewhere I’d pick to come in the first place just unfortunate my friend chose this awful establishment for her birthday. There’s an option to add photo but wasn’t good enough for a picture

This place has definitely lowered its standards in last year . The food quality is worst by the week , not month or year . Whenever you try to bring it up with the staff or the owner himself , Tony , the reply would be “ have a nice day “ . Never would try to take some notice of what is wrong , what needs to be improved and so on .So oblivious and complacent . Just because you are established for quite few year it doesn’t mean you have to serve your customer rubbish food . They come there for good that is other than fast food . Go figure . I don’t even want to talk about the cleanliness around . Before you seat on those benches , perhaps you should look around , maybe some breadcrumbs, tomatoes sauces or maybe just wet spillage . I would prefer to wipe my bum with the money I would spend there , which I did over and over again , than leave it in this business again .

Loved visiting here today, baby friendly with welcoming staff and plenty of high chairs, can often feel unwelcome going to restaurants with little ones but the staff were amazing. Food was 10/10 can't recommend it enough

Went there for mothers day as we have been their previously without any issues, got our table straight away which was great, but the waitress we had was very snappy with everything she said, i understand its busy but we came here for a lovely meal and felt like it was ruined by the attitude of the waitress.

We were recommended to call in for lunch by our host before we set off on a walk to St Annes. Nice venue on the road leading to the promenade, which appeared to be the main street for restaurants. We opted for the Tapas, staff member was very friendly and food was very good.

We are local and choose this restaurant easily 6-12 times a year. Staff and food usually very good but the Sunday lunch offer is good wallet wise but poor customer service wise. We booked for 4 people for 1pm had ordered by 1.05 and were told the table was needed in 5 minutes at 1:35! When one of the party tried to finish their wine it was judged we were no leaving fast enough and the card machine was placed on our table by the waiter as a hint to hurry. I quietly told him this was poor service he said “ tell the manager at the desk I am doing my job” At the desk I approached a man I took over many visits to be a senior member of staff , I told him quietly the food was good but 35 minutes was rushed and not a good experience he said “ That is the way it is” No apology or interest at all so I said “ Well I won’t book as I planned for Friday with a table for 8 people” and he said “ ok”. No apology at all, no eye contact.It will be some time before I go again or encourage others to go too. I conclude Spago is so sure of filling tables it rushes guests through to get more in and overbooks… there are of course many restaurants in Lytham so complacency is a risk to this business !!

Fantastic food and service. Food, flavours, service and pricing at Spago are bang on. Great Lytham restaurant. The Sunday lunch is fabulous and the mid week special offers are a fantastic deal.

The food was fine - but not exceptional, the service was ok. The prices were expensive and the menu on line shows out of date prices. House wine £28.95 which I feel is quite steep, fillet steak is £45.

Had the bargain Sunday lunch deal , which was really good. £30 for 2 x Sunday dinners and a bottle of wine, excellent value.

Had such an amazing lunch with my wife as a belated valentines meal.. What can I say could not have chosen a better venue.... food, staff and atmosphere made our meal so memorable... thanks guys and we will definitely return and recommend to all.

Went to Spago for the first time for a family meal to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, from the quality of the food to the standard of the service. Will definitely be back!

We visited Spago on Sunday, booked late in the day and they were able to reserve my family (4 adults 4 Children). Arrived, enjoyed a lovely fresh pint before arriving at the table. Food always spot on, breads to start followed by Sunday Roast. a Great deal too on the Sunday roasts, with a bottle of White wine included. Always very polite with our children and the kids meals always fresh and wholesome.

Quite possibly the worst experience ever. So we had booked a table for 8:15pm for 10 people for a dinner, on arrival we were told that due to how busy the restaurant was we would have to wait another 20-30 minutes! To which we simply agreed to go next door for a drink while we waiting without any complaint! After arriving back at 8:45 we were told again we would have to wait and another 15 minutes went by until we finally sat down having waited 45 minutes! We didn’t order any starters or to avoid delay - this then proceeded to take another 1 hour in total for the food to come! Soon to the food arriving we questioned where are food was where the manager answered with “just be patient” “it’s coming there’s nothing we can do” Despite this they had served multiple tables that had been in a lot less time than us which became frustrating! The table next to us also said they had been waiting over an hour for their food!! On arrival of the food I had ordered the steak which was cooked really poorly and was incredibly tough - from this I ended up choking on the food resulting in me having a medical emergency and was taken outside, thankfully I managed to dislodge the food and was able to breath again! During this whole ordeal my fiancé was trying to get past the manager to me and moved his arm out the way in distress! To which he shouted “don’t you f*****gtouch me, don’t put your hands on me” she was simply just trying to get past to be by my side after we were both very traumatised by the event! He then continued to become increasingly aggressive and abusive towards my finance and friends who were there to the point of him pushing a female customer and slapping his hands on a male customer being intimidating! He used a variety of profound words and refused to let us leave, we were absolutely appalled by his behaviour and the entire restaurant witnessed this to their shock and disgust!!! I thankfully have video evidence and have sent this to every local news reporter and will ensure this video is circulated on every social media platform to show how awful this ‘Manager’ behaved. The options was to pay in full or to call the police, threatening us even more in the middle of the restaurant. We simply wanted to leave due to our own safety so we agreed on a payment and left. I will be never eating or stepping foot in this restaurant again and I hope this individual is fired immediately Do not go here.

Returned to Spago to take advantage of the Sunday offer and have to say it was fantastic, none of us were full but we only had a main, maybe an option to add a starter or dessert for a reasonable price but for £30 you really can't fault it and the standard was excellent so thank you

Sunday Roast for 2 was excellent washed down with a bottle of Merlot , highly recommend this place will definitely be back.

Our dinner for two thus evening was excellent. Supreme of chicken and Belly pork, both cooked and presented to perfection. Portion sizes were just right and the staff were friendly, as to be expected. We both had the cheese cake for desert, that doesn't sound too adventurous, but it was really nice. We'll come again.

First time at Spago's ....my friends had the tapas menu , which they both liked very much ...I had the Pizza Margarita , all washed down with a drink of our choice ...we ate inside (not a fan of the decor ) but the food came promptly as with the drinks ....all in all a very pleasant experience .

It was a delious Sunday roast. 7 of us had food all was great. The deserts were delious too. Great value for money two roasts and wine £30. Definitely worth a visit. The staff were so nice too very helpful

Popped in for lunch,had a wonderfull seafood pizza. Wow,freshly cooked in the oven,plenty big prawns,muscles,fish,garlic,bang on! Ok prices,nowhere cheap now is there. Will deffo go again.

2nd visit in the matter of a few weeks. Nice food, but not as excellent as it had been 3 weeks before. I sincerely hope that the Spago keeps up that highest of standards. On the table to my left I had a coupe complaining about a missing element to their food & on the other side a gentleman wanting to pay who was ignored a couple of times. Don't let the standard slip because when Spago is on it, its stunning.

The starter and main course was fantastic and the staff were very friendly polite and helpful myself and my boyfriend really enjoyed ourselves and felt really relaxed here

We arrived and asked to be seated outside, we were told by the manager to sit by the bar and wait 5 minutes for a table. No drinks offered, let alone taken. The manager then knocked that hard on the window from outside and pointed to a table for us! Honestly, I was gob smacked. Service was appalling, the foccatia bread was raw, this was taken away and replaced with some garlic bread, which we didn't order! The place was understaffed, after our main we had to wait 45 mins for soft drinks and a desert menu. The waiting on staff did try under the circumstances. However, poor management is to be blamed for this. We'll not be returning.

We have recently moved to Lytham & are trying all the restaurants in the town. We visited here after a long hard day & were well impressed by great, great food. Bolognese Calzone, carbonara & a mozzarella Garlic bread washed down with a cold beer. It was simply magnificent, I would heartily recommend.

Outstandingly delicious food, genuine Italian recipes and ingredients. Service is great, as waitresses are lovely 😻 and polite. I wouldn’t hesitate to come again 😋

Food is good and there’s plenty in a portion. Waitress not very professional she slapped everything down on the table with no care. The glass of champagne was ridiculously small for £12.95. It wasn’t even a half glass.

Wr went last night to spago as it os our favourite restaurant we are always in there even on a afternoon we had the vension which was beautiful then I thought something is missing only this morning I realized there was no beetroot which is beautiful but not last night and also my husband asked twice for a twany port which never came only when I myself went up to the bar again I was very disappointed last night very

Visited with my partner over the weekend and the food was lovely. We have an 8 month old and they were accommodating providing a table with space for his pram. The staff are very friendly and no delay in service. The food was very nice - one of the best italians we have been to personally. Reasonably priced, good menu and nice atmosphere will definitely return.

Ah, Spago. Where do I begin? Perhaps with the £30 for 2 roasts and a bottle of wine deal they so generously advertised as an autumn offer, strictly excluding Valentine’s Day, of course. Because nothing says "autumn" like reminding us that this non-existent deal isn’t available on February 14th. Naturally, seeing this enticing offer plastered on their website, we decided to head over for a Sunday roast in June. A perfect plan, right? Wrong. Upon arriving, I eagerly asked the waitress for two roasts. Her response? "We don’t do roasts anymore." The table behind us chimed in, "We made the same mistake." The waitress, seemingly used to this charade, added, "Yeah, we get asked that all the time." Really, Spago? You get asked that all the time because your website is still falsely advertising the roast deal. When I pointed this out, the waitress could only muster an awkward laugh and a quick escape. Classic. With no roasts in sight, we were forced to order from the regular menu. And let me tell you, it was a financial leap. The regular menu prices were much more expensive than the imaginary roast deal. To add insult to injury, the regular menu didn’t even offer roasts - so disappointing :( The waitress suggested the ribs to my boyfriend and assured us it was a "generous portion." When they arrived, they were more like a starter with just three bones of meat. I was baffled as to why she even mentioned the portion size. The lobster ravioli was equally disappointing, with the taste of lobster almost non-existent. We went with a third friend who is gluten intolerant. She was told by the original waitress that they had gluten-free bread. When we tried to order it, a male waiter said, "We don’t do gluten-free bread," leaving my friend confused. He soon changed his mind and magically came up with a gluten-free garlic bread alternative that he previously denied existed. We had to ask twice for the outdoor heater to be switched on. And we asked for the bill three times before it finally arrived at our table. The only good thing was their goat cheese garlic bread. A Sunday outing which we were hoping to cost £15-£20 per person turned into a £35 per head spend. And not a Yorkshire pudding in sight!!! So, Spago, here’s a tip: if you’re going to lure customers with a roast offer, maybe, just maybe, you should actually offer roasts. Or at least remove it from your website! Until then, I won't be in a hurry to return.

First time having evening meal as a resident of Lytham, so embarrassed to say it's the best meal I've enjoyed here. My family all enjoyed their respective three courses, we all had a little taste of each others, and a nice bottle of Italian vino. Our server Phoebe looked after us all night, along with other diners in a busy restaurant on a Saturday night. Rest assured I would definitely recommend this place and will be back in the future. Aggressive, argumentative and rude. The customer is always wrong and the owner needs to go on a customer service and anger management course. There are much better restaurants in Lytham. Avoid avoid avoid.

I’ll definitely go again. The food was gorgeous and reasonably priced. The service was exceptional too, the food arrived quickly on a busy evening and the staff were nice and professional.

Dropped in after a long day for supper and chill out before bedtime. The day's special starter, oysters were fresh and served as they deserved (photo). The crayfish risotto was good, but I've had better ones (I also cook risotto myself regularly, so I might be biased 😅), the merlot full of aromas, albeit asking for a different dish to fill in (my bad). All along, I felt very well looked after by the kind staff serving.

Spot on, the food is always great, our waiter was great the venue itself is beautiful. Best restaurant in lytham by far 👌 Oh and I'm on the low blood sugar diet and they cater for this also. They were really good at tailoring the meals to my requirements.

This is mine and my partners go to restaurant. From romantic date nights to dinner with friends, it’s the perfect restaurant for all occasions. Even our 5 year old loves the food. The service is impeccable and the food is absolutely amazing. 5 stars always ⭐️

Genuinely one of the best Italian experiences I've ever had. The service was impeccable. Great food (the creme egg cheesecake was a particular highlight), and the market menu was unbelievable value. A truly well deserved 5 star review. Thank you, Spago, for a wonderful end to our mini break.

Had a lunch after a walk on Lytham Green with our dog Toby. We hadn't booked but we're welcome even with Toby. Food and service were excellent and staff polite and attentive. This is our third visit and we have never been disappointed with our meal, the service or the staff.

Friendly staff, nice ambience. 4 of us went for Sunday roast. 2 had lamb, 2 beef. Seemed good value, as it included 2 bottles of wine. The problem was the quality of the meat. Both lamb and beef had unfortunate amounts of fat and gristle. The veg was good, as were the desserts. Don't compromise on the quality of the meat guys. 😉

Visited this beautiful restaurant last night and were no disappointed! Amazing service from Pascal and his team. Delicious seafood and Italian dishes at reasonable price. Been here before and it’s always been nice, today was the opposite. Staff unbelievably rude, clearly understaffed and overbooked by a long shot. Food was average at best, someone returned as the food was cold but plate warm so had been waiting on the hot plate for some time, it was then microwaved and returned, given the meal was muscles this was far from ideal. The primary reason we come here is because the focaccia bread, however this time we were served pizza base. When we enquired (not complained) we were rudely told this is how it’s always been served, previously we’ve always ordered more this time we barely even ate a slice. Much better places to eat in Lytham and certainly better service to be had!

The food was way below average- overcooked tough fish, certainly not restaurant quality. The service was terrible and so unprofessional- we all agreed it was like school dinners! We had booked the private dining, we called to confirm in the morning and arrange balloons to be delivered. When we got there other tables were in the area and we weren’t even given one table . We pushed some together but it was far from ideal- Hugely disappointing experience all round.

We often come here for their Sunday Lunch offer which is frankly unbeatable! Not only can you feed a family of four for £30 but the food is always delicious too. We have been probably 5 times and cannot fault the food or service!

Had a fantastic Sunday Lunch here a brilliant offer of two Sunday roasts and a bottle of Wine for £30 with a choice of Beef or Lamb the food was Excellent with fantastic ingredients and the service was also faultless and very Friendly and informative give it a go I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed 10/10

Had the Grand Sharing Seafood Platter for a special occasion - fabulous. The sweetest prawns and lobster, delicious oysters and smoked salmon and wonderfully garlicky clams and mussels. Nothing was too much trouble - asked for some slight changes to accommodate taste and everything was done cheerfully and quickly. Would highly recommend.

Very expensive for what we had. Service wasn’t very friendly and despite leaving a large tip I didn’t even get a thank you. It was very busy but this is no excuse. It was an anniversary meal with my daughter it was busy and we had to wait at times for drinks I had a sea food risotto - not alot of flavour, but did taste fairly fresh Staff were not consistent as some friendly and some solemn

We had a wonderful time here with my extended family (8 adults, 6 children!). The food was lovely, and the staff are a delight and great with the children.

New Year’s Day lunch. 5 adults, 3 children aged 1,2, & 7 plus a large Retriever dog. Made to feel very welcome, tables pushed together to accommodate us all and 2 baby chairs found. Lovely Illy coffee and great food; highly recommended. 👍👍

After enjoying the pantomime, we headed here for lunch, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The restaurant's decor is stunning and creates a lovely atmosphere. All the food was delicious but the seafood platter, an absolute must-try. The staff were friendly and attentive, I would absolutely recommend.
