Buraq in Fylde

I have not visited the Buraq for a number of years but was pleased to find that the food was still great tasting and excellent value for money

A little odd. Was booked in here for a family birthday celebration. Around 17 in total with some younger children who all just ordered the chicken nuggets option. On arrival we were seated in the conservatory whilst the rest of our party arrived - we each ordered a drink and they were brought around 10 minutes in and we were all handed a menu , after around 20 mins they came back to take everyone’s food order , before we were seated at the table. A few of us ordered poppadoms and naan bread as a starter whilst others ordered individual plates and we gave what we wanted for our main course. When we were seated at the table, the chairs and spaces were very close together despite the fact the whole area in which we were seated was empty so felt silly to cram us all on two tables of 6 ! The popadoms were already out on the table spread around when we were seated so we never actually got our individual crackers or dip even though we were still charged for this / everyone just tucked in as it wasn’t clear. Around 20 mins later the starters began to arrive but it took a good 1hr 20 minutes for any main to arrive whisky the staff stood around talking on their mobiles or starting at us with empty plates. The main portions were small but edible. The naan bread was disgusting wet and soggy. Not sure it had been cooked. Was bizarre. We waited longer as no one had dessert and asked numerous times for the bill. The alcohol is expensive and the food portions small for the price. I wouldn’t personally go again. I had heard a lot of positive reviews but I felt it didn’t live up to this on this occasion.

What a Brilliant place such a great Atmosphere fantastic service and the food was lovely best chicken Madras ive ever had and the lamb chops are to die for 11/10 and to top it of they even gave us a lift home defo going back soon 🖒🖒🖒😉✔✔ went again last night and it was just as good as last time if not better and the service was absolutely amazing 👏!!! update went again last night and the meal was superb the Lamb chops were even better than last time with plenty on our big tray 😋 ❤️ my lamb balti/tikka was amazing also!! great service as always and always very friendly they can't do enough for you excellent ❤️❤️👍👍10/10

Went to this restaurant for the Sunday buffet . We arrived at around 3.30 pm we eventually got seated just after 4.00 pm . When I sat down at the table there was a large black hair on my plate and a big burnt hole in the table cloth. I asked for a clean plate then went to the buffet not sure I like the salad left open to the elements of the open , I think it should be in a proper chilled salad bar . The beef samosas were dry with no filling in the chicken pokora was all stuck together wasn't alot of chicken in the curry dishes it was mainly sauce the nann bread was soggy becouse it was put in a metal heated container. I went to pour some water in my glass well I dudnt bother becouse the water jug was filthy. Not a great experience. I think the entire restaurant needs a good clean .Will not be going again the buffet cost my over £50 for 2 adults and 1 child .

For a Christmas Day twist, I had dinner at Buraq after booking a few weeks in advance. The service was very nice with attentive staff and despite a bit of a wait for dessert, I would highly recommend going here!

The surroundings and staff were very pleasant. The food was of a high quality and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

My daughter’s choice for her 15th birthday meal. Lovely and clean, pleasant staff good selection of food but the food wasn’t that great. Pilau rice was clumped together in big gelatinous lumps. The chicken tikka wasn’t pleasant either. I had a chicken balti which was ok. The poppadoms and chutneys were nice though. Probably wont return.

This is a great restaurant, the service was excellent and price extremely good considering you get free poppadoms with accupliments and no service charge. The food was very good, I always have 2 mains to try other dishes. Good job guys well done, no wonder your busy.

Absolutely stunning take away from Buraq this evening. We had two curries, two rice, one naan , four popadoms and three chutneys for £22! Amazing value and totally delicious food. We usually eat in and always find the staff polite and attentive and every dish we have tried has been fresh and delicious. We are now regulars at this fab restaurant

Regular Indian takeaway near my parents and while the food isn't always perfect the chicken desi masala I had last night was excellent. Delivery - a bonus around here - is great although it was late yesterday, even when quoted 1.5 hours.

We ordered a takeaway and would 100% recommend this indian. Our curries were delicious, all very tasty. Their website was down and couldn't get through on the phone but were happy to walk in and order.

The food service and prices are always excellent I would highly recommend a visit if you have never been we go quite often the restaurant is big and plenty of room to move about and the staff couldn't be more helpful

This was my king prawn stag, disgusting and inedible. They offered a refund which has not happened. Contacted my bank and can do a dispute. Happened too many times with this supposed restaurant

Been several times over the past few weeks. Very consistent in quality and service. Clean and tidy. Good size portions. Their Sunday buffet all you can eat is excellent. Will continue to give them my support and business.

We decided to collect our takeaway, service was quick, atmosphere while waiting ok. But the food, onion bhajis dry tasteless, nan bread like cardboard. The main curry dishes were average, rice ok and the fries were just that, thin probably frozen and small in quantity. Probably won't use again but it must be doing something right as the eat in was full. ??

How the hell are you supposed to get in the ladies toilets.. you can't even open the door never mind us6the loo.. food disappointing .service poor..Manager really miserable. If he doesn't like his work go somewhere else...that is what we will be doing. Very disappointed

Our first time last Sat and it was fantastic, we will be back.....great place, great service and delicious food...

Had the buffet the food was excellent, but on a large round table with bench seating with no ability to get out without asking at least three people to get up while they are eating , put a dampener on the evening. Took the food back to the table, then when wanting to return to sample other dishes, had to ask three people to get up, move out to enable to let me out, then disturb them again when returning to the table. Would recommend that large party buffet diners were seated away from the round tables.

Me and my girlfriend heard about this restaurant because of its rewards throughout the years. Because of this we went to this restaurant expecting a high standard of food. We started off the meal with popadoms and drinks which were very nice, especially the mango chutney. The issue came with the mains. My girlfriend and I both ordered the chicken tikka masala, I ordered the garlic naan and she ordered the egg fried rice as sides. The chicken tikka masala was unbelievably spicy, to the point that there was no flavour and only spice. The chicken was well cooked but the heat and lack of flavour made it unenjoyable with both meals being barely touched. I could not tell the garlic naan actually had any garlic on it. To top this off, there was an extremely strong smell of manure throughout the restaurant which is not pleasant when eating. since arriving home 20-30 minutes after the meal I have been throwing up since and my girlfriend is feeling very nauseous.

Sunday Buffet was excellent. Food was tasty and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

On our annual holiday to Ribby Hall, we always come her for a take away. Excellent food and great value and tonight was no exception. The food is authentic Indian cuisine with a great mix of flavour and spice. I had a spiced up Rogan Josh which was perfect and spicy, my wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala, creamy and flavoursome. The set meals are great value and plenty of food.

Six of us went last night. Not been for while due to COVID. It did not disappoint, the food was splendid everybody enjoyed it. The service is the best, no rush between courses, polite and friendly. Thank you.

Not been to buraq in a long time. Still good. Curries and mushroom rice were delicious but the undercooked garlic naan was a let down. Did not put us off and will definitely return

What an amazing find, super friendly team. Amazing authentic food, great portion sizes and we always leave stuffed. Every member of staff cannot do enough for you and the atmosphere spot on.

Absolutely lovely place and staff+ the most delicious chicken tikka karahi. Naan bread not authentic, tasted+looked like a shop bought one. Shame as the rest was quality. Staff noted it+deducted from bill but would much rather have a naan cooked fresh. Mushroom rice very nice. Good portions. Would return and recommend.

Booked for 7pm, there were 11 of us so took a while to get sorted. Great atmosphere and had a big round table which meant everyone could interact. Food was mixed, mine was delicious but some of the party said theirs was bland. What really let the place down was the terrible service, it was slow and some staff were quite surly.

Service was awful, we were left nearly 2 hours without anyone coming to serve us. We given our food order while sat at the bar having a drink, we were then escorted to our table and we had poppadoms 2 each and then we were left. When asked where are food was, they said it's on it's way, but the manager disappeared to the kitchen to cook the food 20 minutes later, he returned we said we have gone past eating now and wanted to take it home. They then took payment without an offer of a refund. So I complained and we did get a partial refund. Food not great,I won't be going back unfortunately.

We arrived at 3.00 as the restaurant opened. Very disappointed with the service. Lots of staff standing around, not paying attention to customers. One man seemed to be doing all the work. We all had poppadoms to start, these came quickly. But we had to wait ages for the one starter ordered. Then no-one cleared the table before the main course arrived, even though there were about 5 members of staff standing around. Food wasn't as tasty as on previous visits. The sauce with the chicken shashlik tasted like tomato sauce with coriander, a bit bland. Certainly not up to the standards of previous visits.

I have to say as Indians go, this is very poor and takes my new top spot of where not to go. The staff servers are great and cannot fault them. The food is very poor and they need a lesson on gluten free nan breads...do not offer what you have no idea of how to cook. Not sure how much the owner had to spend to get all the certificates...or they just printed themselves and placed on the wall. Avoid, there are so many great places out there who deserve your custom!

Tasteless , bland food. Would definitely not recommend. Plus our table was a plastic outdoor garden table , all that was missing was the umbrella .

Probably the worst Indian meal experience I’ve had in years. Tasteless main courses all under spiced and under seasoned. Some of the service was good but some was poor, the heated hand wipes were thrown onto the table as the server walked past. Very poor, all in the party agreed that it would be a long time until we visited again.

Great food and service, dishes are quite spicy but I like it that way no point in going for an Indian and having no flavour, would recommend to anyone.. Go fir it great place only issue is not enough parking on site

First time we've been here and wasn't disappointed. This is the best I've ever had, and I've tried a lot of different places. Staff were superb and the food was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

Came here for the Sunday buffet - first visit. Food was okay, buffet not filled up quick enough and no meat left, just sauce. Some of the staff are miserable and quite rude. Not sure I’d come back here

Ordered a takeaway. The spice level is a bit hit and miss. Ordered two curries, both apparently medium. One was really tasty but the tikka masala was so hot it was virtually inedible. Starters, rice and naans all really nice.

Great service, nice inside. I love their food, although this time the Madras wasn't quite as powerful as usual. (May be a different chef). Still good though 👍.

I went with a friend to the Buraq Indian restaurant in my search to find a great local Indian restaurant - but left ultimately disappointed. On entry you get seated in the bar area, and lead to your table after you have ordered your drinks and food - which is slightly weird to say the least. You soon get used get used to the initial shock of the restaurant feeling like an extended bungalow. My friend had a prawn cocktail starter which was a very sad looking affair on the plate, and I had a mixed kebab which was best described as rubbery. We both ordered the Chicken Korma for the main - which was devoid of any coconut or cream taste...in fact it's probably the most tasteless and bland Chicken Korma I've ever had the pleasure of paying for. The only saving grace was the very tasty fried rice and the naan bread. Sadly, I'll not be a returning customer.

It was very busy here on Saturday night. We booked a table for 7pm. We sat at around 7.30 we ordered food and because of the wait the manager sent some poppadoms and chutneys. At 9pm we started to get really hungry. We reminded staff several times that we hadn't had our main courses. It arrived at about 9.20pm. The food was ok. Small portions for the people who had a plain curry and ginormous portions for people who had baltis. Ordered garlic rice for 2 this was a very small portion. Nans lovely. When the bill came the manager had Knocked off £31.50 which was kind. I don't think I would go again at weekend. They said they double booked but I don't think it takes over 2 hours to make 8 curries. By 9pm the restaurant was quite.

The food was really delicious, my only complaint would be that it's not really a mango chutney that you get with the poppadoms, it's a thin mango sauce. And if you're going on a Saturday night be prepared for a really long wait for food (50 minutes between starters being taken away and mains arriving). 3 or 4 tables that came in after us got their mains before us, which was annoying as well, they definitely need more kitchen staff on a weekend. Also, when I ordered "one naan between us" I expected the large family one but we got a small one.

I hadn't been here for many years whereas the other 3 in our party had never been. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit & meal, especially as the food and service were excellent. We look forward to calling again.

Booked for 6pm, got seated at 6.35. Ordered at 6.45 and food only arrived at about 7.45 after having to chase it a few times. Had to get our own napkins and plates. Good was nice once it arrived, but didn’t make up for the wait. We weren’t the only ones complaining.

We had a takeaway for 8 with popadoms, pickle tray, main meals, rice and nanns for £95. All of us thought the food was great. I had the madras lamb and the temp was spot on. Good portion sizes. I’ll defo go back the next time I’m in that part of the world.

Very very bad .. had the sunday buffet and all the meals are chicken .. the chicken is dry as a bone and im suprised no one has choked ... onion bhajis are rock solid proper dry aswell Got charged for my son who had one peice of dry chicken and couldnt eat anymore.. the best bit about the meal was the naan bread .. Avoid the buffet

Everything was alright service atmosphere was good the food was disappointing now whether it was because of the buffet might have to try the menu next time

Not friendly staff, over charge on drinks, not the same price when you re order,and always dearer. The service was very slow ,food was not hot. Won't bother going again.

Outstanding , we went in early on a Saturday evening and it was really busy. It was nice to see families in there with kids . This makes for a lively atmosphere. The food and service were great. As usual we ordered too much and there was no issue with boxing up what was left of the large portions of food. Will definitely be back

Our new go-to for our Indian takeaway. Great value meal deal for 2, tastes great and portions are plentiful. We've previously eaten in, which has always tasted great but with mixed customer service experiences. Definitely the best Indian food around though.

We have just had a phenomenal takeaway from here, full of flavour and the meat was extremely high quality, as was the rest of the food. Delivered to our door ( we’re staying at Ribby Hall) in under an hour. Extremely friendly and efficient service. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again when we’re in the area

Best Indian around, good beer and lovely curry. The service is fantastic.

I’ve tried this place a few times recently. The shaslick, the chicken chat, the jalfrezi and the Baltic are very bland with no depth of flavour. They are also full of ghee! The pilau rice is yellow are stuck together in clumps as was over cooked. It’s a nice restaurant and the staff are great. It’s a shame that the ingredients aren’t of a better quality to give the authentic flavours you expect from a good Indian restaurant. I hope that it improves in the future !

Average buffet, foods ok, nothing special but still tasty and different options each sunday on rotation week by week.

This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Great service fab food and taking advantage of a 2 Meal deal very reasonable. Toilets were spotless! Would recommend to anyone. All 5 Star!!

Just been back here after 12 years. We moved away from the area. They didn't disappoint. Food and service was amazing. Really good value for money. Unlike some places the drinks aren't over priced either. Coming back with friends in a few weeks. Will recommend 100% Amazing food
