I ordered at about 10 o’clock it said at half past it was on its way I rang the restaurant at 11.50 they said it would be a thew minutes it didn’t show I rang at 11.00 and they said a thew more minutes then it said delivered and the restaurant was closed so basically it never showed up

Good, authentic food. Very friendly service, we were asked about our preferences an then we'll led through the menu, so could take good choices.

Placoid never turned up, charged me twice, tried to call on the phone to sort it and they were really rude :(

Item missing from order. Tried to ring the restaurant and couldn't get through, so rang the delivery driver who said he was too busy to come back!

First time here and the reviews weren't wrong, good food, good service and nice atmosphere. Although we don't eat out a lot, my wife likes to cook, we will be back.

Was recommended so went for a take away and delivery. They don’t deliver to lytham so had to use Uber taxi Quality of food was pathetic terribly disappointed. Basic to find meat in buriyani. Food was absolutely amazing!! Hands down best curry I've ever had. Service was as good as the food. Can't wait to come back!!!

Great Indian restaurant and good value for money.

Food was lovely and hot when delivered. Impressive considering the distance travelled. Curry was really nice taste wise just lacked a little bit of heat for my taste. Rice was nice. Starter a little bit on the greasy side but still tasty. Couple of free poppadoms and chutneys were a nice touch. Would definitely get again

Nice food good service not to expensive

Had my very first Indian here 11 years ago and have since been to many Indian restaurants, however none quite compare to this gem. Relaxed, traditional feel with top quality customer service. There is a very wide varied menu and I have yet to try something that I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed! We eat out in lytham quite a lot and the price, quality and friendly feel here is completely different… and the icing on the cake is the complimentary drinks with the bill!

Been coming here for years, excellent variety of authentic Indian dishes and great customer service, what else could you ask for. Packed out on a Saturday evening. My go to Indian restaurant.

My first time though friends have recommended it for years. Enjoyed my meal though my dansak could have done with more chicken & pineapple to be filling. Loved the fact background music not blaring & you could actually hold a conversation. Nice touch from waiter of complimentary drinks at end of meal

I'm not a local but have tried this place a couple of times when I'm in the area. On my first visit the pathia I had was a little too watery for my liking. Tried the same dish again a few days ago and it was so bland, tasted of tomatoes and nothing else. When I've eaten this dish in other restaurants it's been quite spicy, couldn't feel any heat in this one. The starters were good, the staff were friendly but unfortunately I don't think I'd be back. Being an avid Indian food eater I'm not sure where the 5 star reviews are coming from.

I wish I would give no star. Our family suffered stomach upset stomach for the next two days, The worst food we ever had. Popadams are bitter in taste because they fried in over used oil. Starters(kebabs) are recooked to look fresh, very dry. The main course was not so bad. Close your restaurant if you cannot provide fresh food. In India roadside stalls serve quality food, I felt ashamed that his restaurant was named after my nation. My request to all English customers, please don't have an opinion about Indian food after trying here 🙏

Portions sizes were ridiculously small - we barely got any chicken in either meal. Not value for money and definitely disappointed with our expectations.

Not the best food expensive for what you get, korma and madras like water, not much meat or anything in there, wouldn't order again very disappointed

I am only leaving a 1 star review for food quality I ate in your restaurant many months ago and felt that the food was to a good standard. However having ordered a take away to my air B&B tonight I can honestly say it’s the worst food I have had in a very long time. I was excited it had arrived promptly yet it was cold and disgusting. The Naan breads did not taste of pashwari or cheese instead they resembled thick yorkshire puddings and the curries were luke warm and barely any chicken. The bhuna was sloppy and salty like out of a jar. There was minimum paneer in the saag paneer and it was all dripping in oil I will not be ordering or recommendi

Good meal for us as a group, ordered drinks but they forgot one so had to remind them, maybe it was because they were very busy? They did do a lot of take aways there as well. Did not order poppadoms, which cost £1, then they came out with poppadoms and said they were complementary, strange!. The food was good and hot, and the service was alright. Coffees afterwards was a bit iffy as they brought out cream/ milk, which only served 2-3 people at best, and had to ask for more at least twice. They gave you hand and face wipe afterwards that were nice and warm, and then complementary shots afterwards, which was nice and unexpected (- brandy and baileys) So good place to eat, service good, very busy restuarant, prices are aright, it is not a very big restuarant so would advise booking first just to be on the safe side.

Awful, bland, tastless food that forever to come out. The main dish tasted like tinned tomatoes with a bit of sugar, despite asking for it asian style, and the wine tasted watered down. I also got a bad case of food poisoning from the mushroom starter. Awful experience, very disappointing.

Poor quality food and over priced . £19.95 for a chicken curry and 3x popadoms. What is the world coming to? Being exploited from from all angles with hard earned money. FACT.... this restaurant could charge me less and still make a larger margin than before lockdown. Lovely people though and I wish them all the best, I just feel exploited.

I guess it was my own fault for ordering at 22:00 but the meat samosas had nothing in them, it was just pastry. The chicken tikka was very dry and the keema naan had hardly any keema in it. I was unable to ring up to rectify order as it closed after it was delivered. Never mind.

Food is gorgeous, but the white wine is cheap and always delivered Luke warm, so I wouldn’t recommend the wine at all but food is good

Great food and great service. Went for a family birthday and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Free liquers for us too. If I could make one suggestion maybe a few more dessert options but then again who goes for an Indian meal and expects to have room for pudding

The tasteless lamb tikka rogan josh contained no lamb at all. It was beef, masquerading as lamb in the hope innocent customers do not notice. This can be common in low end Indian takeaways. Feel completely ripped off and very disappointed.

We had a takeaway, it was lovely. Really nice staff, very clean inside.

On holiday and first time trying Gemma. The food was excellent and more than enough for us. We also got complimentary popadums and spiced onions which was a nice touch. The staff were great, friendly and helpful and were apologetic about our wait (which wasn't long at all). We were given a nice drink while we waited and when we are back in the area we will definitely sit in next time. Thanks. 😁

Amazing i would recommend to everyone! nicest place I've had a curry.

So disappointed with my first delivery for me and my son.2 absolutely minute dried up supposed onion bagee,2 teaplate size nan breads and the garlic chicken was unpleasant with barely any spices and was also a small portion.I gave the chicken to my patterjack dog.

Had a takeaway on Sunday 1st May and the standard of food was not what we'd experienced before. The onion bhajis were over cooked and extremely dry, the chana starter had no chickpeas in at all. The main dishes were no better with very little chicken in the medium curry or the naga. Overall a very disappointing experience and will probably not use them again.

The food was delicious and we asked for dips we got extra dips and poppadoms which was a nice surprise. The food was absolutely amazing and the delivery person was very friendly. Thank you

Food was really good, we’re quite picky when it comes to Indian food and have tried quite a few in the area! We’ll definitely be back to sample some more.

Food was average, certainly no better than that. Didn’t expect the Chicken Dhansak to come with a large pineapple ring (from a tin) stuck in the middle of the tray. Sauce was fairly bland. The lamb kebab starter was tasty though. All in all, I don’t think we’ll order again from Gemma.

Second time ordering from here as the first was excellent! A couple of problems this time. I asked for lamb massalla and got chicken but it was still tasty and I think the peshwari naan was a plain one. Still smashed it all so not complaining.

I have never had a bad meal from Gemma (either in the restaurant, or as a take away).

Rip off. Pay for Cheese Naan: receive a Naan. Pay for a Curry: receive a tin of watery sauce and barely any meat.

2 hours for 1 starter and 2 main courses. Very slow

Food was on way at 18.02 got to half past phones Gemma said order was still there and hadn’t sent so they didn’t no why I had a text saying on way.. was assured it hadn’t been out for half hour on delivery and food was still in kitchen.. it arrived at 18.45 and was absolutely freezing so I’ve no doubt in my mind it did leave the restaurant at 18.02 and didn’t arrive to me till 18.45 with how cold it was. Completely unacceptable when the restaurant is 7 mins up road in a car

Very disappointing The mixed Kebab starter was a very small portion and the round kebab was more like a small chipotle sausage with no flavour at all ! The meat curry was barely warm with about four pieces of meat in it and chapatti was small again As a first time customer it didn’t impress at all so probably won’t order again

The food was lovely, I ordered 2 bottles of larger that didn't arrive and when I called the shop they said they sent it, I didn't get it! And I'm now £6 pound down now. Not ordering from them again 😒

Most bizarre take away meal ever, ordered the daal chicken and it just tasted of nothing, nothing at all! Might as well have been chicken in hot water. Mixed grill was tiny, for £14.95 this is completely unacceptable. Vindaloo sauce was tasteless, was just spicy but no flavour at all. They did bring the missing naan that was forgotten so that was nice but unfortunately thats about it.

Had my birthday meal here along with 12 others and it was so tasty!!! I felt sorry for the staff because they were...short staffed!!! Will definitely go again!!!

first time ordering from here i ordered prawn dhansak for myself which was amazing and nice and mild, my husband had the chicken dhansak which he enjoyed, however my husband said that there should be a bigger portion of mango chutney, i ordered poppadoms 3 but got extra which was a bonus and the cheese nan was the best iv'e had this takeaway will be put into my favourites will definitely be ordering from here again
