I've been going since I lived in St. Annes (2 years). The staff are amazing and have a great sense of humour, and the food is spectacular! The atmosphere is amazing. Definitely recommend Imli Indian as your Indian restaurant of your choice!

Really should have made a reservation. Fitted us in without having to wait except for them to clear the table after a previous customer. Very busy place.

First time to St Annes. Looking for a nice Indian restaurant and read the reviews for Imla. All good, so on a Tuesday evening in late September we called in to see if they could fit 2 persons in for their early bird. The staff greeting was warm and friendly, and within a few moments we were shown to a table. The staff member ( think he was in charge) explained the early bird menu as well as the main menu, stating that if we wished to upgrade off the early bird, a slight added charge would be made. We settled on 2 early bird menus and upgraded a couple of items. Whe. The pickle tray arrived for starters he went through all 6 bowls, telling us which ones were spicier than the others ( nice touch). The starters of onion bhaji were hot and tasty when they arrived. The mains was excellent, the shashlik was still sizzling, with plenty of chicken and vegetables. Staff were very attentive yet not intrusive, which made for a really relaxed atmosphere. Including the upgrades and 2 drinks it was less than £40. Really rate this restaurant, and would recommend to anyone who hasn't been before, to give it a try.

Absolutely fantastic food, good value for money and friendly atmosphere! So pleased we chose this restaurant for our one night get away.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience dining at Imli. The staff were outstanding and clearly take great pride in the restaurant, which shines through in everything they do. To start with, the selection of sauces that came out with the papadums were delicious and varied. I then had the Onion Bhaji, which were crispy and light (often Bhaji can be very heavy and overly battered, but these were just right) my wife had the veggie samosas, which were also delightful. For mains I had the Lamb Madras, which was delicious and just the right level of spicy (for a white guy, haha). Overall, an amazing experience at an establishment that is clearly run with care, love and attention to detail. If I weren’t on holiday I would make this my go-to Indian restaurant in a heartbeat and will be returning next time we visit.

Unfortunately I hadn’t booked, which I hadn’t realised was crucial! So no table was available, I found the man extremely rude and a “sorry we have no table” would have been ok, but he practically laughed in my face!! Very rude!

Went to this restaurant on Friday evening, excellent welcome and prompt attentive service. We had mixed starters and several mains, all freshly cooked and piping hot. Wine was reasonably priced. All in all a wonderful experience, wil return soon.

Had four takeaways from this restaurant. Three of them were vegetable biryani. First one was very disappointing, no flavour at all and not as described on their menu. Supposed to contain sultanas and cashews but it didn’t, very little in it at all, it was more like a rice side dish than a main course. On third and fourth visits I tried a biryani again requesting that they “spice it up a bit”. They did so, and it was much better and more like a main meal, but each meal is totally different, no consistency at all, never know what to expect; and still no sultanas or cashew nuts. Also can’t work out their pricing, every time that is different too. Shame as the portion size is good. Will see if I can find better elsewhere.

We enjoyed it so much we managed to book again for the next night. Beautiful foods and a good atmosphere. We'll definitely be back for more meals in the future.

Imli is my go- to for a take away every time I'm in St Annes. Staff are welcoming and hospitable and the food is delicious and authentic. Portions are generous and it's also good value.

We had a king prawn balti was quite cold, and hardly any prawns,the naan bread was not warm or very garlicky was disappointed as some of the reviews are good

The best best best place. Food is very reasonable we had plenty of food and drinks had the best time. Prawns and lamb chops were highlights. I'm definitely visiting this place again. Just opposite travelodge and near the beach.

Chose here to eat after a night out due to the website saying they open until 11pm. Unfortunately when we arrived at 10:30pm we were told the last orders for the restaurant is 10:30 pm. The gentleman on reception was friendly and did check if the kitchen would serve us but he was told no. I'm sure the restaurant and locals probably think this review is unfair but they really need to differentiate their takeaway and restaurant opening hours, especially as I don't know another Indian restaurant that shuts at 10:30pm.

First time we been on a Sunday and it was Easter Sunday so we decided to give cooking a miss. As we had never been on Sunday, we didn't realise there is a special menu which was extremely good value with no compromise on portion size. Owner is always super friendly and made us so welcome with our grandson who enjoyed his first curry experience. Great food Great atmosphere Great prices We have already booked to go back

Just really enjoyed our dinner at Imli on a very busy Wednesday evening so booking recommended , chicken dhansak was lovely as was the vegitable sides of cauliflour bhaji & tarka dhal , excellent table service from Ripon & paige and special thanks to Shaz for a lovely evening , highly recommended .

We visited last night 3/4/24 , we was one of the last family’s in the restaurant as they got us a last minute booking. The staff are absolutely great, very attentive. The food was absolutely 10/10 . Delicious and perfect. Possibly the nicest Indian cuisine I’ve had. Would 100% recommend and will visit again when in lytham st Anne’s.

Busy curry house, excellent food, good service - impressed and I'm very choosy about my curry.

We are staying at the local travel lodge and really wanted some Indian cuisine. We ordered take out service and because we had a menu we received 20% off our order. The food was absolutely spot on, we would highly recommend. They even gave us a pickle tray, plates and cutlery as they knew we didnt have any. Thankyou 😊

Had a meal last night, table of 5. All chose different meals. The popadum and chutney tray was an indication of what was to come. The popdums fresh and a great selection of chutneys. We then had samosas, pakora and massive onion bhajis, all very fresh and delicious. Five different main courses , clean plates and one doggie bag, wasn’t leaving anything, rice and Nan bread. All commenting on the flavours and the freshness of it all. Drinks very reasonable, to the point when I came home I phoned to check they had been charged . Manager very attentive checking everything was ok. All in all a lovely night with great food and relaxing atmosphere.

We went to Imli last night for a friend’s birthday and the staff absolutely made our night! Everyone really enjoyed their curries, just the right portions and flavours. I made, what I now realise, being sober, was quite an odd request. I really wanted a vindaloo that wasn’t too spicy. The head chef rose to the challenge and even knocked me up a sample sauce to make sure it was to my taste and it was exactly what I had hoped for (I actually think they should consider putting it on the menu 😂). The waiter showed me a video of the chef doing a little victory dance in the kitchen, which had us in hysterics. Before we left they even brought the birthday boy some cake and sang happy birthday. Such a huge thank you to them all, they are superstars. I’ll look forward to seeing the medium-hot vindaloo on the menu in the future.

This has got to be a jewel in St Annes. The food, service, and ambience are first rate....We booked in the day before, and although busy around the 6.00 pm time, we got in......What a place, first class...

Another excellent visit for dinner at Imli. We enjoyed it so much a few weeks ago, we wanted to come back with my husband to show him how good the food is. It did not disappoint. Once again wonderful efficient and professional service and just really delicious food.... we all left very full and happy. We enjoyed a king prawn shashlik and land dansak mains with rice and the most delicious peshwari naan bread.... the rose wine is really good too... Thank you and see you all again soon.

If you like Indian food, this is the one to visit. You will not be disappointed! Recommend you book beforehand. Food and service first class. They do an Early Bird menu Monday-Thursday with an excellent menu choice. Portions are big and very tasty. Only wish we lived nearer and could visit more often.

Had poppadoms & pickles to start, chicken handi/ chicken dupiaza with veg pilau and garlic and coriander naan. Food was excellent, all fresh. Good sized portions and very reasonable. We missed their early bird offer, however including drinks it was less than £20 each. Highly recommended, nice atmosphere, great staff

We visited last night as a couple. We haven’t been here for a while so thought we’d give a whirl again. It was always our favourite Indian but my word, it’s just got BETTER! I asked the lovely owner to recommend a chicken curry dish for me and he suggested Shatkora (asking me first if I liked a tangy flavour). I asked for it to be made a little more spicy and it was absolutely perfect. My partner had the Methi (lamb) and that was gorgeous also. I normally hate lamb in curry as I’ve always found it tough and mutton like but not the lamb here…it was tender and juicy and accompanied the dish perfectly. We also had the popadom tray, some onion bhaji and a mushroom bhaji side dish plus a garlic rice. All were amazing. Great portion sizes (we had enough to take home which they were happy to box up for us). All the staff were polite, friendly and efficient. All in all this was an excellent meal and a lovely buzzing atmosphere in the restaurant also. So happy this family restaurant is doing so well. We won’t leave it so long next time!

Visited on a Sunday, and opted for the Sunday special menu. Poppadoms arrived promptly with the chutney tray, and were lovely. Starters of mixed kebab and shahi Tokra chicken followed, and both were great portions, and absolutely delicious. We both had chicken bhuna, madras hot for main, accompanied by mushroom rice and a naan, and both meals were fantastic. The service was friendly and efficient, the staff are a credit to the restaurant. This restaurant has always been our go to for an Indian meal, and never disappoints. Highly recommend a visit when in the area

This restaurant was recommended to us and we visited for the 1st time this evening. We were not dissapointed! From the initial welcome to leaving the friendliness of the team & service was exceptional. The food was superb, really well presented & just how I like it. The garlic chilli chicken was 10*10* naan bread was cooked to perfection and not katcha ;) went down a treat mate. Proper appna style. Plenty of masala, great portions and fairly priced, that's exactly how I like my curry and you guys made it without me asking. Goes to show use are perfectionist. You should open a branch down here in longsight. Next time I go Blackpool I will be diverting over to your place again without doubt. Imli is an excellent Indian restaurant in stannes. There is a superb menu, with excellent range of starters, and the tandoori chef produces great chicken, ticka, and lamb chops. The naan, paratha, and vegetable dishes are superb. Beers and wines are good Imli is great...

Went for a family meal last night. Staff accommodating and very attentive. Food was awesome ( best I’ve had in a long time ). The price of the food and drink is very reasonable for the quality of dishes they serve. Everyone one of us said we will be returning soon.. Ordered once again while on a visit from Manchester. We ordered the special mixed biryani with a madras sauce and saag sauce and it was absolutely divine. Lamb literally melted in your mouth and the pieces of meat were huge. Another reason this is our favourite restaurant.

What a stunning venue! Absolutely awesome food, brilliant staff (the manager made sure to come and check on the food status) Amazing food and wonderful attentive staff. Toilets spotless. It was quiet when we went in, the service was still impeccable. Would definitely recommend. 10/10!
