Most bland and oily food ever had in Turkish restaurant. We only took one bite and couldn't eat any more. Big disappointed.

Just heard the very sad news that the restaurant is closed. I have been a customer since the 80’s with my family & friends. Always had delicious food great service that’s why we have continued to eat there for this long. We will have had many a celebration there birthday etc in the restaurant it will be sorely missed & the staff.

We went here yesterday and was told they are closing with immediate effect and that we were the last ever customers. This News absolutely devastated us but they went out with a bang. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was second to none. They were open nearly 40 years and I really hope they make a return :( long life aladdin

Still one of Manchesters greatest and most underrated eaterys. Food is always great and cooked with care. As someone who has been to this resturant litreally dozens of times since the 1990s I can tell you that the staff have always been attentive and treated my family and friends exceptionally well. I heard tonight from the owner that he may be closing in the next few days due to the financial clmate and if this is true then that will be a genuine shame. As a patrone of 30 + years I can tell you it wll be missed.

I'm a South American. Went to the restaurant a few times. The food is different, very delicious, and well prepared, and the presentation is super.I enjoyed every moment. The staff is well trained. They made me feel at home. I ❤️ the place

The starter was very tasty.the main course very dry and not much flavour

Aladdins provided exceptional catering for a family birthday party recently. They were excellent to communicate with, the food was freshly prepared and everyone LOVED it. I was so pleased as we ordered a fair bit, and the quality was amazing - the same as their restaurant quality. We've never had a dish here that was anything less than perfect. I couldn't recommend Aladdins for external catering highly enough, and of course for an excellent meal out. Thank you!!

Ordered lamb shawarma, mixed kebab, chicken kebab, maklobeh, tabakh rawhou, hummus, baba ghanoush, mint tea, lemon tea, Arabic coffee and apple juice. Food was excellent, and the ambience was great for a family of 8 to dine in as well.

A few years since my last visit, and got the impression things had gone downhill. The food was decent but the staff were slow, inattentive and confused.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but this was bad. My son called ahead and booked our table (he has a clearly Muslim name btw). Immediately on entering we didn't feel welcome and I guess we were not the usual clientele. We were placed upstairs although downstairs was quite empty. The starter of hummus came quickly (bread was hard and cold) then there was a long wait for mains . Just before we got the mains a group of maybe 12 rowdy men came in and were seated directly next to us - with enough alcohol/beer to open a pub. They actually had to stand for a while to get it all on the table. We were surprised tbh and would not have gone if we knew this would happen. We felt very uncomfortable. Fortunately the mains were so extremely tiny we were able to eat them within minutes and get out very quickly before they got even louder. The chicken kebab was a few dry bits of chicken on a small saucer. No salad or garnish at all. I would give a bigger portion to a 7 year old . The Maqlubeh was also surprisingly small. We also ordered a yoghurt dip which was definitely needed with the dry chicken. Overall the meal was just over £40. Felt rushed, robbed and totally confused.

Had a great time here and the staff were really friendly and patient.

We came here for Mother’s Day lunch. The chicken skewers were lovely. We ordered several different dishes and just put them in the middle of the table and shared. Everything was tasty and we will be back even though we now live further away. I just took one point off because the table wasn’t big enough for our party and we were a bit cramped. The waiter was very helpful.

As a snack got some Lahmbajeen to try out. I paid £6.50, in return I got 2 tiny squares of cooked pastry with some cooked mince on top. What a rip off! Was gonna go for a full dinner some other time, but looking at the prices and portion sizes, I'll save my money!

Came for Valentines and had a wonderful meal. Great selection of food and incredibly tasty. Service bringing the food out was fast but very slow when bringing us the bill. After speaking to two servers who didn’t bring over the bill (across 20 mins) it fell on a chef who was taking a break to charge us. I can only assume it was very busy or understaffed that day. But overall a wonderful and romantic meal

Lied on uber eats that they prepared a meal and took my money without sending the order. ** HIGHLY UNRELIABLE ** DON'T RECOMMEND AT ALL.

Been here a few times now and the food is so delicious! We asked them for their recipe for the chilli dip and they gave it to us & some to take home! Lovely staff, atmosphere and food! 10/10

I've been eating at Aladdin's for years and the food it's delicious every time! Reasonable prices and portions. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

This was my 3rd visit to the Aladdin Restaurant. The food was amazing as always. The portion sizes are massive and you get so much tasty food. There were 5 adults and 1 child. We had 3 portions of mujaddarra rice (rice,lentils and fried onions) 3 portions of chicken kebab (could have got away with 2 portions shared between 3), 2 portions of mixed kebab, 2 portions vine leaves, Lebanese salad x 2, 1 yoghurt & spinach dip, x2 Baba ghannouj dip starter( with pitta bread), halloumi cheese and x2 meat sanbousak (pastry stuffed with minced lamb, onions and pine kernels, deep fried). For the size of portions you get, the pricing is great. I would highly recommend visiting.

Honestly unbelievable place, especially given we were able to walk in on Saturday night. Warm, friendly, helpful staff and amazing service. Open kitchen downstairs with some seating and more tables upstairs. Great value veggie mezze. Each dish £5-£6.50 with 2 per person being more than enough with a pitta each. We had a few leftovers between which they were more than happy to package up for us. BYOB so if you drink it’s an especially great value meal. The quality of the dishes is superb. Not an expert in Syrian cuisine but, beautiful fresh flavours. Even as a veggie I was tempted by the meat. This place deserves to be popping! I hope next time we go we have to book (not that that will be too far in the future.

Everything was very good, the customer service was excellent, especially for the elderly and children. The violin is beautiful and the ambience is very nice and calm, everything was immaculate. the food was delicious, The service was fast... My experience was very good and I recommend it 100%, and the location is very special in case you feel like walking and having a little coffee and watching the atmosphere of the city as a whole.

The food was absolutely not fresh price was over priced they also have a hidden fee for 10% and also it taste like it was just out of a freezer not freshly cooked

A fantastic restaurant that has been there years and is always a pleasure to visit. The food is amazing and very consistent in quality.

The best Syrian restaurant you will ever visit in Manchester. You need to taste the Syrian Kebabs, the Kibeh Nayeh and tabuleh it’s fresh and homemade so if you want this experience so then this is the place to go. I love the beautiful atmosphere which makes you feel like you are in the middle of Syria.

Very nice food and very clean and welcoming with a lovely traditional atmosphere and the staff are kind and have great customer service, I would definitely recommend.

Fresh homemade authentic food with a warm welcome - this place is a hidden gem

Food was fantastic, quite a small venue but cozy. The fact that it's BYOB is fine because there's an off-licence literally across the road and the restaurant will provide the glasses. I had a lovely works night out with 9 coworkers, we ordered a load of Mezze starters to share and it only cost us £18 per person. Will definitely be back.

Me and my family absolutely adored the food like the shawarma and the Falafel. My friends over in Leicestershire had recommended this restaurant to me and had suggested for me to take the family for a nice dinner over at aladdins. This is now my new favourite restaurant as the great service and atmosphere and food makes you feel very comfortable. I would definitely recommend bringing your family over for some delicious food!!!

This is a gem of a restaurant, it may not have a trendy frontage and is also a takeaway, but the food and service is really outstanding. Myself, my husband and two friends had a range of mezze to make up a full meal and we shared 10 dishes. We were all very satisfied and everything was seasoned to perfection. No need to add anything at the table. The bill was very reasonable. Added bonus.....you can bring your own wine!! Well worth a visit.

My place to go to and has been for 30 years . Mediterranean food to die for at this easy to miss little restaurant near The Christie Manchester 20. Make sure you visit soon.

Middle Eastern food is wonderful - I visited this restaurant fairly regularly while I was at university and it was one of my favourite places to eat. I’d last eaten here about ten years ago, having first come around 20 years ago. I happened to be passing by Manchester at the weekend and decided to visit - the food was as good as I remembered and the restaurant itself as cozy as ever. The lamb chops and a dessert they make called Muhallebi was absolutely fantastic.

Fantastic fresh food with lots of flavour and all at an amazing price!

Had takeaway. Unique take on middle eastern food. Tasty. Mushadara superb. Check your bag before leaving, that one has everything.

Had a birthday here with 30 people the food was DELICIOUS. The staff was really lovely and the atmosphere was great. Laid out the table for all of us in the upstairs room and we all had the best time. Definitely will be back to eat the food again. Thanks guys

Ordered a takeaway of Kofte and chicken kebab,totalling over £20 for the 2.We were aware the order came without any salad,I know unbelievable, but when we got home we found to our absolute astonishment that neither was any pitta,so literally just the kebab,no dressing no salad,no bread. This is a total rip off,kebab was dry and the chicken didn't even amount to 1 breast of chicken. So disappointed but also these ppl are con artists. Don't waste your hard earned cash on this rubbish.In Withington and surrounding areas there are loads better places, who would you believe provide,yoghurt salad and bread with your order. Astounded!!!!!!

Amazing food and great value for money! Not many main options for vegetarians (I think they had 2) but as I went with a friend that was happy to share we ordered a variety of vegetarian starters as 'tapas' (they have loads of options!). Will definitely be back!

I visited the restaurant with some friends that travelled from London! We were a group of 7 and despite being late (taxi issues) we were welcomed. We were greeted with both excellent hospitality and food. The BYOB is an added bonus! Absolutely delicious!!

Love this place first visited when I was about 5 or as dad is moroccan and he loves this food . Really friendly staff great prices plus you can bring your own booze. I'm 31 now and the quality certainly has not dipped

Such a lovely experience.We had 5 people and we had a hot and cold vegetarian mezze. The food was great and the restaurant staff were so accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a very good Syrian restaurant that I visit whenever I can. You can take your own alcohol, they don't have a license. I recommend the Arabic Salad and Fatoush but I suggest you explore the menu, there's lots to choose from. Parking nearby is OK.

We have been here a few times over the years with family and friends. We came in the last week of July as we were celebrating our anniversary but it was extremely disappointing and this will be our last visit. To start with, the prices have been hiked so not cheap. The service was slow and took more than half an hour for the order to be taken. Despite repeated requests and reminders for our drinks to be served, we didn't get them until after we'd had our starters and was midway through our mains, 1hour and 30 mins later! They forgot part of our order, had to be reminded several times and got some of it mixed up. We requested for the chicken kebabs to be well done and it arrived burnt. The waitress insisted that they were fine. We just wanted to finish our meal at this point and leave. To top it all, there was a 10% service charge! Never again!

The sausage was tasty for my starter and the chicken kebab was quite tasty but I can think of a similar restaurant in Bramhall that I think is definitely better. All in all, it was quite pleasant t but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

Wonderful selection of tasty starters, it’s best to mix and share if in a group. Do leave some room for the main courses though as they are all excellent. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and give great service without being imposing. You can also bring your own drink which is an added bonus. We’re so fortunate to have Aladdin’s in the area and long may it continue!

This syrian restaurant has amazing food from the kebabs to the potato kibbeh and the amazing variety of starters I highly recommend people to come more often!

Tried to give us free items and charged for it.. some of it was cold some of it was burnt to rock solid carbon. They tried to charge £85 for a takeaway for three people. Will not be going back.

1st time having middle Eastern food.. quite different to what I am used to but worth a try. I would recommend this place.

Stumbled on this place when staying locally. Read some of the reviews and would give it 5 stars. The lamb was so tender. Staff attentive. Hommus shawarma was to die for. Delighted that you can bring your own alcohol. Would definitely recommend.

Waited almost 40 minutes for someone to take the order And another an hour for the meal to be served. Also they took advantage of the help to eat scheme and put their prices up and the most annoying thing is the service charge. Not going there any more!!

Food is moderate in taste however portions were not worth the price paid. It was a disappointment. Never again.

Service charge was added to the bill. In my opinion that charge should be at the discretion of the customer. My partner asked for mint tea, she got a packet tea in a small cup and it was stewed. She asked for a larger cup but, all they did was pour one small cup into another small cup ie the same size cup. The line was finger size not the bulb shaped as it should be. The stuffed aubergine was over spicy. There were only 4 pieces of falafel and overpriced.

Went there on the off chance and was not disappointed. The food was amazing.

We visited Aladdins this week having first come here 5 years ago. It used to be packed but now there were just 6 tables of people on a Saturday night. The food used to be extremely tasty but we were disappointed that the prices have increased by approximately 50%. It is now expensive when compared to other restaurants in the area. We ordered the Bameah which had very little lamb in it. The food is served quickly and the atmosphere is casual so the prices should reflect that. We will not be returning.
