I enjoyed a lovely meal today with my family. The food was so delicious! The rice here is incredible. The service was amazing - everyone was so kind and helpful. We also ordered a mixed mezze to go but it was all put into one box and it all mixed together which was really disappointing :( Also, the music playing was REALLY loud

We sat downstairs where they do street food like shawarma's. Good environment, value for money food. Kids enjoyed

They have recently had a refurb, and it looks amazing; you can be forgiven to forget you are still on Wilmslow Road. The food was fantastic, and the portion sizes were very generous. We found the music a tad high, but after requesting, they turned it down. Really appreciated. They also have a prayer room, so win-win!

This must be the best Turkish I’ve been to around Manchester. Great place and amazing food. Love it! Be very very careful when ordering the portions are huge. Just remember you get salad, rice when you order a mix grill. Also before you get your food you get served bread and some sources free. I promise you will not be disappointed

Undoubtedly the best Turkish restaurant in Manchester. Though the portion size has reduced a little since the revamp, they're still very generous and the food is always excellent. My one stop for Turkish food always, despite having tried most other places.

Came to this busy spot with family and was extremely happy from start to finish. The decor is modern and stylish and there’s a good atmosphere. The food all around is extremely delicious and was cooked to perfection. We had the hot mezze sharing platter and various mains, highly recommend the lamb chops and adana kebab. Also the strawberry mocktail is the perfect drink on the side. We will happily come back again!

Always amazing food and service whenever we go to Sultanahmet. The new decor is lovely but there’s one thing that lets it down - the choice of soft drinks is very disappointing. Why is Coca Cola still on the menu when other more ethical drinks suppliers are so freely available? It would make me think twice about dining here again as there are lots of other places on Wilmslow Road that no longer serve Coca Cola / Pepsi affiliated drinks. Please Sultanahmet, rethink your drinks selection.

My sister got served partially raw wings and upon complaining she was told that this is the way wings are supposed to be served. Safe to say, she did not eat them.

Good food, there’s seemed to be a bit of confusion with the wait staff as to what was and wasn’t included in their platters.

The restaurant has delicious and clean food, and the staff are respectful and kind.

My first review was 5*..my second visit was my last. From food quality to portion size, it was a joke. I won't be going here again.

Tasty Turkish cuisine, meat haven - all halal and no alcohol 👌 1. Friendly customer service - polite customer service from people who know their food; very spacious and clean - Fast food turnaround when dining in, we got ours in 10 mins / it was 2100 on a Saturday evening 😬 2. Superb selection of menu items - it's all pricey stuff / get what you pay for; the 'King Mix Grill' is more than enough for 4 hungry mouths; the ‘Cold Mezze Platter’ and ‘Hot Mezze Platter’ are a great way to start 🤤 3. Vibrant environment / partially family friendly environment - good menu variety for kids / the Turkish cheese burger is always a hit; 4-6 booths 😉 4. Prayer room facilities - check with management; we always use the local mosque, 5 min walk away 🤲 5. Tricky parking it's Wilmslow Road 🤷‍♂️ - we usually park near Victoria Park mosque then walk down 👍

Visited with friends and really enjoyed the mixed grill platter. A friend placed the order for all eight people - not sure if he ordered too much or if the portion sizes were larger than expected. Don't bother with the mojitos - the virgin mojito was like a Schweppes lemonade with ice and a few mint leaves which couldn't be really be tasted

It was a great experience beside the festive season. We did find good seating and also the service was very helpful. Do not forget to take selfies with the old custom costumes. The parking can be challenging during evening.

I had an incredible experience at the restaurant in Wilmslow during iftar time! Despite being fully booked, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a fantastic meal. The quality of the food surpassed my expectations and I can't wait to dine there again. Well done to the whole team for their exceptional service and delicious dishes. My recent visit to Sultan Ahmet grill left much to be desired. While the food quality was satisfactory, the overall experience was marred by discrepancies in pricing and unprofessional behavior from the manager. Upon receiving the bill, I noticed that the prices listed differed from what was stated on the menu. When I politely brought this to the attention of the staff, instead of addressing the issue professionally, the manager became confrontational and began to shout at us. Despite our attempts to explain the discrepancy calmly, the manager's rude demeanor persisted, leaving us feeling disrespected and undervalued as customers. Although the food itself was decent, the lack of transparency regarding pricing and the disrespectful conduct of the manager overshadowed any enjoyment we might have had. In any reputable establishment, such discrepancies should be handled with courtesy and professionalism, which unfortunately was sorely lacking in this instance. Overall, my experience at Sultan Ahmet Grill was disappointing. While the food may have been okay, the poor handling of the billing issue and the manager's rude behavior left a lasting negative impression. As a result, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others until improvements are made in both customer service and pricing transparency.

Excellent Food and Outstanding Service

Do NOT fall for the soup trap at Iftar. A waitor comes around offering soup to everyone breaking the fast, giving the impression this is complimentary. It is actually £4.50 for each plate, which they'll just quietly add onto the bill without telling you. Also we ordered 3 platters for starters. Only 1 came. 'The other 2 are on their way' - they arrived around the time we had almost finished the mains. We also ordered a portion of rice that never came. They forgot to bring it, but of course they didn't forget to charge us (only realised after we left). The £95 mixed grill is nowhere near £95 worth of food. The service was extremely slow. Overall a very poor choice for Iftar. It is possible they may have better service at less busier times, but if you are planning an iftar please do not add this to your shortlist.

Recently had iftar here. Food arrived in time. Everything delicious. Portion sizes were decent. Loads of options available on menu. Prices are slightly on the expensive wide but you can taste the difference so still worth it. Small prayer room also available.

While I have been a customer and enjoyed the food for the past 11 years. Recently portions have been very small, extremely expensive and the meat is very chewy.

Worst experience in ramadan. Waiter kept apologising but in the end we payed for their mistakes. Asked for a mixed shish adana plate they ended up giving 2 separate more expensive plates. On top of that everyone else order was served almost 1 hour after iftar. Bunch of scammers never come here in ramadan.

Terrible experience! It took 50 mins for the food to arrive and the food I received didn't match what I ordered. I even asked the waiter 3x are they sure the description for the food on the online menu is correct and she reassured me it was. Disappointingly she was wrong! The food server argues with me saying there must be an error on their website or it wasn't updated and made me seem like I was in the wrong and not understanding? Their "resolution" or "response" was that they will speak with their waiter and if I wanted something else it will take an extra half hour...

When I went there, everything was perfect until one day, the bartender named Ali, who was working at the bar, made me a drink that had a hair on it. We called him, obviously it was from him, and he acted like he was going to beat me, and the money for the drink was taken.

Despite the short notice, you flawlessly arranged a table for 14 people. The freshness and taste of the food exceeded our expectations. We appreciate the outstanding service and delicious experience. Me and my family visiting regularly but best bit of it is baklava, it’s the best baklava I’ve ever ate. Very tasty, highly recommended!!!!

This is the most expensive restaurant in the UK !!! I been into this restaurant before , the food was good and the price was expensive too but the portion of food was big enough to compare with the price . We been there again yesterday but we decided not to go there again because the bill was to high to compare with the portion of the food we ordered, although the quality of food is not bad , only downside is they are very expensive.

Food was below average, chicken shish no flavour and lamb chops where chewy beyond belief. Overpriced food, 20 quid for a mix grill for 1 which was so small in size. However Staff where friendly.

Prices are high. Food is average. They do not have any special sauces from Turkish couisine. Just Turkish pizza namely lahmacun is good.

The best food around not only for Easter Europeans but for locals too. Not overpriced and incredibly tasty food all around the menu. Definitely will take this to the top of my restaurant list.

I ordered a half roasted chicken that came with a piece of lebanese bread. The chicken tastes as if it was reheated and served because it was nowhere near fresh + the bread had green spots from inside and when I confronted the waiter he said it was the ink from the package that was printed on the bread. Even if it was that I mean that's not right. When you ask for the bill they bring a box with the receipt inside so that you leave cash and they intend to not come back so that you get bored and you are forced to leave tips because they won't give you your change on time. I wish the manager could read my comment and contact me because I feel sick now I'm forced to throw up all that food I ate. I've been to turkey and that's not proper turkish food I'm not happy at all.

We’ve been in this restaurant yesterday and ordered King Special for 95£. The amount and quality of meat for this price is quite disappointing. The waitress is perfectly friendly and her service was just awesome, that’s why I’m giving this place 5 for service and 4 for atmosphere, because the food itself is not impressive, 50% of meat was undercooked and I ended up being nauseous the same evening after visiting this place. However the place is clean, the service is good, but the food is something between 2.5 - 3.

Amazing meal, after we were refused entry from a restaurant that said walk ins were okay.. we made our way into this establishment and had the best meal of our whole trip!! The food and service was outstanding, amazing value for money, we will be back!!!!

Just dined in at Sultanahmet Grill and the food, service and atmosphere was excellent! This has been my second visit to this restaurant and I would definitely eat there again as well as recommend it. We had the kofte withbrice; lamb sizzler with vegetables and rice and lamb shish with rice. All were very tasty!

So I cannot comment on their service or atmosphere as I only had ordered online from this place, however I'll comment on their food. I got iskender kofte (which was nice actually). I am glad that they use 100% beef. Some places do lamb kofta here which is BAD and not TURKISH. I 100% support the use of beef. Although the taste is not the same as authentic sultanahmet kofta it is still good for what it is. Lentil soup was way too watery. I dont think they used flour to thicken at all. Taste-wise it was fine, tasted like homemade lentil soup rather than restaurant/esnaf type of soup. I disliked the minced pide but pide dough was fine, authentic. So could try cheese pide next time. Baklava was ok, I think I'd really like kunefe if I had it in its place so definitely will dine-in here.

Best Turkish grill in Manchester, hands down. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed and the music is great. Everything about this place feels premium.

This place was an amazing experience I loved the food and also the service was extremely kind and friendly. I recommend this place the chicken was juicy and delicious. The lamb was tender and mouth watering.

Nice Turkish restaurant with Halal food

Such a lovely turkish place with authentic food. They have a large seating space with traditional decor. The food was really good we got the mixed grill and lamb beyti. To be honest I have had better lamb beyti before however the mixed grill was beautiful and the meat was cooked and flavoured well. The kunefa was the best I have ever tasted and Turkish tea was nice too! The prices were so reasonable for the great service and quality of food!

The interior was spacious, seating was good enough, and the lighting was good, could tone the music down since I could barely hear what anyone was saying to me The food was exceptional, the portion was perfect and the dessert was amazing. Ordered the lamb shish & lamb Adana and my wife ordered the chicken Adana served with rice, flavours were very nice. And got a baklava and ice cream and kunefe for dessert Could definitely improve on the service. I ordered everything I wanted at the first encounter with the waitress, ended up waiting almost an hour before the food arrived, only thing that had arrived was the complementary bread and sauces and drinks and we waited for so long, and no one bothered to apologise to us for the wait or even update us with our order. I then ordered desserts, and it took another 30/40 mins for the desserts to come and yet again - no one was updating us with anything and we were waiting for a while. What could’ve been the perfect experience was ruined by an hour and a half of waiting at a time which wasn’t that busy.

Had a mix grill for 2 cost £35. Nothing special very blend. I didn't enjoy. Salad was very standard. Tables were wobbling. The staff was good and friendly.

We have visited this restaurant on many occasions and the food has always been rather satisfactory. However, our dining experience yesterday was a huge disappointment. My wife's chicken Iskander was not fresh, and the chicken tasted very firm, and contrary to the succulent chicken served in the mix grill platter. We raised our concerns with the waiter who spoke little english and was not equipped to manage a complaint. He was not resourceful and was determined to defend the status of the chicken without considering a taste. The entire matter was uncomfortable for us as we highlighted a concern but to no avail. The waiter reluctantly offered an alternative dish, and suggested the chicken shish. The replacement arrived, but it was not what had been promised. We were presented with chicken wings as an alternative 🤔 My wife was extremely disappointed, and naturally this led to them not being eaten. To avoid any further controversy we decided it would be prudent to leave. The customer experience was extremely poor, and the resolution was nonsensical. If you are a foodie, I would highly consider alternative restaurants, to ensure you are not placed in an uncomfortable situation, when raising a concern. We will certainly not be returning, and overall a very disappointing experience. 0/10.

Would strongly reccommend a Turkish classic - the Iskender with the kofte. Must add that they do not serve alcohol, and the Ayran is not the best despite claiming to be a traditional Turkish restaurant - fix the Ayran please.

Great place!! Our waitress was really nice and the food was amazing. It was a lot more than what we expected. We shared a mixed grill for one, a mezze platter and some cheese sticks. The place was quite empty on Sunday at 2pm but we can't complain!

Abit of a mixed bag this one. Lamb chops were delicious and easily the highlight, however the other dishes did disappoint. Wouldn't be in a rush to come back but most likely will as the menu is fairly extensive and other meals did look good.

Most reliably great tasting food in rusholme and good service at sultanahmet. The lentil soup is great. Never had anything on the menu that I didn't enjoy. Also very clean with an open kitchen. Quiet enough for a conversation and pleasant environment

We went there in Eid it wasnt that busy, it was 7 of us ( 4 adult 3 kids )we paid more than £100 . The food it just make me feel sick , the kofte kebap didnt cooked properly ,even we found hair inside food but still they charged us for the food we didnt even eat about hair .Lentil soup we ordered it was just like water no taste no anything . I dont recommend this restaurant at all . The service and staffs was okay .
