Visited with family Food was amazing so much flavour. Ladies who were waiting on our table were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be back again

We love all the starters, often sharing lots of them for our meal. We went last weekend, as it suited everyone - vegan, carnivore, gluten free. We all loved it!

Came here on Saturday night with friends. Firstly the couple who own it are really friendly and make you feel welcome straight away. Then the food...I had a meat platter and it was amazing! Highly recommend.

We have been here a number of times and enjoy it every time. The food is great, generous portions and tasty. Great choice for vegetarians and vegans, I am vegetarian myself. The staff strike the balance of attentive but not intrusive. I don't understand why this place isn't busier, it deserves to be.

El restaurante no estaba lleno, lo que nos permitió mucho tiempo para relajarnos. He estado en un restaurante similar a nivel local que estaba lleno y nos sentimos apurados para hacer espacio para los próximos clientes. Todos estuvimos de acuerdo en que fue una de nuestras mejores noches durante mucho tiempo

Encontramos este restaurante hace unas semanas y quedamos tan impresionados que volvimos a visitarlo, la comida es maravillosa y abundante, el personal es muy educado y acogedor, te sientes como en casa. Estoy discapacitado, así que tengo una rampa a la puerta, cómodas sillas que apoyan mi espalda y un baño muy espacioso en las escaleras con fácil acceso para una silla de ruedas si es necesario, pruébalo Sé que este es nuestro restaurante favorito incluso después de visitar dos veces

Un gran restaurante familiar con una cálida bienvenida. Me encanta la comida aquí y normalmente voy con una selección de entrantes y pizzas: la comida es fresca y muy sabrosa y le gana a las demás. Uno de mis favoritos en el corazón de Chorlton!

Visitamos por segunda vez alrededor de un año después del primero. ¿Por qué lo dejamos tanto tiempo? ? Tierno cordero y pollo, sutil y magníficamente condimentado precedido por un sabroso aperitivo. ¿Qué más se puede pedir, aparte del vino de buena calidad, que fue. ¡No lo dejaremos mucho antes de volver a visitarlo! !

We went to nectar bistro for my sisters birthday. It was a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. The staff had made a special effort to dress the table for the birthday occasion. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Lovely service and food always great standard, delicious and reasonably priced! The Primitivo on the red wine list is also a great bottle of wine.

This place is my absolute favourite in Chorlton for great food and service. Had a fabulous meal last night with all my friends for my birthday. Such delicious food. Lovely table dressing. Can’t beat the flavours and price!

He estado en Nectar un par de veces y la comida es siempre excepcional. Sin embargo, tengo que derribar a una estrella ya que el servicio no ha sido excelente en las últimas ocasiones. Más recientemente, en una visita entre semana, tuvimos que llamar al mozo porque estaba atascada jugando con su teléfono detrás del bar durante toda la noche. Creo que es mejor ir el fin de semana cuando el servicio es mucho mejor.

Came here for a meal. The restaurant itself was OK, although the staff could have been friendlier. Food was nothing special but pleasant enough. Then on my way home, I discovered they score only 1/5 on the government food hygiene website. Pretty disgusting that a restaurant scores so badly, shows a complete lack of respect for their paying customers. Won't be returning. Yuck!

Good location, simple but pleasant decor, friendly service, nice alfresco area. Food was a bit variable… lovely Sujok and Mixed grill… others not so good. Will need to improve as there are a number of very good Arab/Lebanese/Syrian restaurants around.

Attend regularly. The food is consistently outstanding with friendly obliging service to match. The best middle eastern food in Manchester- without doubt. Highly recommended !

This is my favourite restaurant in Manchester. The decor is a little plain, but the food is honestly so delicious and at reasonable prices. It's family-run and the service is great. I love that it's byob, and the terrace at the front is a lovely place to sit when it's hot. Would recommend very strongly.

Took 12 people along for birthday celebration. Just about everyone felt the food was outstanding.

Went for a meal the other night with my fiancee and my parents. Amazing food, second to none attentive and polite service and excellent value. We've had a consistently good experience here and my Mum and Dad are still waxing lyrical about it days later.

Amazing food, quite possibly the best in Chorlton! A mixed mashawi meat heaven for me and beautiful bethanjan for my vegetarian wife. My children tell me the sea bass is amazing also.

Came here to celebrate my partner's graduation. As always here, a great evening with excellent food - shared starters of babaganoush, vine leaves and chicken wings, and mains of lamb on the bone and skewers - and a really friendly welcome. Lovely Lebanese wine, and really good value for money. One of our favourites for a special evening out!

Arrived with friends on a Saturday night to find our reserved table right next to the main window! The restaurant was very busy but we were made to feel very welcome and our waiter was very helpful in choosing the right dishes to suit us. The quality of the food was first class so tasty and made to a high standard. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation .

Siempre tenemos una mezcla de entrantes y los tratan como mezze, así que no puedo decirte sobre los principales campos, pero hay una excelente variedad de carne y platos vegetarianos, con algunas opciones muy inusual que no he visto en ningún otro sitio como la pimienta roja y el nogal. El personal es amable y servicial, y se obtiene una interesante selección de música, dependiendo de quién está trabajando! La misma familia propia al lado de tomillo y aceite, pero a mi mente, Néctar es mejor, especialmente para los vegetarianos. Tuve mi fiesta de cumpleaños aquí para 18 personas. Pedí la comida con antelación, pero todo el mundo pidió y pagó por sus propias bebidas (tienen un bar), y todo salió a la perfección por un grupo grande, incluso con otros clientes presentes. La última vez que fui, tenían una gran fiesta familiar con niños muy pequeños; proporcionan tronas y carritos de alojar sin ningún problema. También hay algunas mesas fuera, yo creo que con zona de calentadores. No puedo averiguar porqué no más concurrido, salvo que solemos ir a horas intempestivas, como las 4 pm los domingos! No descuentos en semana.

Continuaremos con la visita de néctar regularmente y la comida es siempre excelente. Los platos de pescado son una delicia. Los entrantes son siempre una delicia de los platos de carne de igual modo. El servicio es rápido, atento y siempre servicial.

Este lugar sirve la mejor comida de oriente medio que he comido en mi vida. Siempre me vienen cuando me visitanchester. Todo lo que comimos estaba super delicioso, el entrante y el plato principal, la comida es para morirse. Highlly recomendado.

Fuimos a Néctar ayer por la tarde como tenemos familia de Seattle. Algunos de los del grupo eran vegetarianos y tenían mucha variedad. Tuvimos una selección de entrantes, que incluía kibbeh, carne de pollo, burak burak, queso halloumi a la parrilla, bourak, hojas de parra, falafel y houmus. Los platos principales fueron taouq qouzi sabzi, estofado, bethanjan, tampoco eran deliciosos y bien presentados. Nuestra camarera era encantadora y el dueño salió de la cocina de vez en cuando para charlar con sus clientes. Estábamos demasiado lleno para postres! Nuestros clientes quedaron muy impresionados con la comida y sin duda volveremos.

We have been here several times and always had excellent food and service. Every thing is freshly cooked and always well presented.

Phoned the day of and were politely told they had room. Arrived minutes later to a minimal restaurant playing traditional middle eastern music. Waiter (the chefs son) was attentive, personable and knowledgable (as well as just a generally interesting guy).Food arrived promptly and was delicious, the best falafel I've had in the country. We couldn't finish everything so had to bring it home.Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

Second visit to this cosy and homely place. Greeted with a massive smile and soon getting stuck into our meze style starters. Main courses were both kebabs and served with sauces to liven or calm the taste buds. Meal for 2 with a bottle of nice Pinot came to under 60 quid. We will be back

We have never been anything over than really happy with our food from Nectar. Lovely people; great service and absolutely delicious food. And the takeaway option is a really good one to bear in mind too. Thanks for a great takeaway meal on Saturday 11th March!

This is the second time we have visited Nectar Bistro and both times were excellent. The staff are friendly and the food is fantastic as well as brilliant value for money. We will be back.

I love the wonderful smoked aubergine, and the delicious lamb dishes. My vegan daughter is also happy to eat here, as plenty that she can eat also. Very friendly staff, always helpful and friendly.

It's been a while since we nibbled out of the city centre and after this visit we're going to have to make a routine out of it.We found ourselves in a little family run business in Chorlton where everything was on this particular visit pretty much perfect.The waiter who served us was passionate about describing what was available and even went out of his way to tell us what the chef did different on this occassion to make pur dinner that bit more memorable.The food, every dish had a great texture, crunch and taste as well it all being beautifully seasoned. It really did hit the spot. What a great bite out to eat.Must come again.

Always a warm welcome in Nectar Bistro and mid-week not as busy as you'd expect from a restaurant that serves such quality food.Everything you order is tasty and good value - especially when you take into consideration the BYO alcohol policy. Gorgeous dips, tender lamb and eve the rice is delicious!

Really enjoyed here on Saturday, we opted to have 10 small plates to share between 3 adults and a child. Highlight had to be hummus shawarma, meat bourak and the falafel (which i almost always end up getting else where and its as dry as a bone!) Really impressed with the service and the food. We ended the night with baklava and chai tea. Chai tea was not what i was expecting maybe i was thinking to Indian Chai? but it was a lot like early grey with a few cardamons floating on top. I will be returning though as it was such amazing food and such lovely staff!! Glad i booked very busy!

We ate here with some friends of ours, who have been coming here for some time, however this was our first visit. It's cuisine is similar to that I've eaten at Sahara in Hale and Yara in Altrincham so I was looking forward to this meal. The restaurant is a family run place and it's evident from the way the staff treat you. You can just tell they are passionate about their restaurant and its food. The owner is a rally nice guy and nothing was too much trouble. He was very helpful as we chose our dishes and advised us on which were the best options and also allowed us to have the special style lentil rice as opposed to the standard rice that comes automatically with some of the main dishes. Food was very very tasty and I have to say I trumped both place in Hale and Altrincham respectively. I would give this place 10/ 10 for food, service, atmosphere and value. Well done Nectar I will return.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner tonight. The atmosphere is very lovely and romantic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had babagannouj and spinach bourak as starters; sabzi and mahlubeh as main dishes. Everything was so delicious! I would definitely recommend it. Their house red wine was a great choice too. One of Chorlton's gems, superb, genuinely authentic Middle Eastern cuisine made with great skill and passion. We have been to Nectar many times and the food is always delicious. It is a great place for meat lovers but also vegetarians. The owner and his family are so welcoming and really look after you. We would definitely recommend going here and can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Family restaurant with exquisite taste. Every dish was superb, and there was ample choice for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The owner looked after us and helped select complementary dishes. You can buy alcohol or bring your own, no problem. Recommended!

We visited Nectar after an afternoon of drinking and as such I can't remember the name of the dish I had, but it involved lamb, aubergine and the BEST rice I've ever forked into my face. I think there were pine nuts in there. Quite honestly I would have happily eaten the rice on its own. Through a haze of mild inebriation I managed to clear every grain from my plate, had I not been in polite company I might have licked it clean. I would highly recommend a visit to this bastion of flavored grain wizardry.The rest of the meals looked pretty good too.

There are some great Middle Eastern restaurants in Chorlton; Nectar Bistro is another one. We visited for the first time last weekend and had a fantastic meal.In a very comfortable environment, the service was excellent with the staff being friendly and informative. The food was a treat. A huge plus for Nectar, as well as for me, is the availability of good quality Lebanese wine.We will certainly be returning to work our way through the menu.

Nectar is perfect for a relaxed, informal meal. Staff are always very welcoming and service is attentive. Food is very tasty with good veggie options. Its very reasonably priced.

Been to nectar bistro few times always enjoyed it but went aprilh 7th place quite empty husband had Lebanese mixed grill wasn't the best lamb tuff and chicken didn't taste nice. I had the sezbass ate a small amount it wasn't the best was quite disappointed . We usually enjoy going there for food maybe changed the chef but was our worst meal there. Shame.

I enjoyed everything about my visit to Nectar last week. Upon entering I asked for a table for two but was given a table for four and the nice chap, who I assumed to be the owner, said that I would be more comfortable with more room. I found this to be a very accommodating and thoughtful gesture. The place was spotlessly clean and the staff were attentive, genuine and friendly. I had a mix of meats, minced lamb, chicken and lamb again if I remember correctly. It was cooked wonderfully and tasted excellent, the rice was also perfect. Took our own wine but would have been happy to buy some from the menu. The vegetarian stew was also lovely. Very good food indeed. Will visit again. Thank you for a nice evening.

A small restaurant with a chilled atmosphere, friendly yet professional staff.Best of all is the food some of the best middle eastern food we've eaten at a very reasonable price.Would we go back again? you bet on it.

Nice atmosphere & friendly staff but we were disappointed with the food. Ordered the sea bass fillet (which wasn't cheap) only to find 3 or 4 huge bones in the first mouthful - I couldn't eat the rest of it.

Small Lebanese & middle eastern bistro run by a very friendly couple. Generally a very good menu, though a bit limited if you like fish.We shared starters of Hummus Sharwarma (hummus topped with grilled lamb and served with pitta) and Arrays (a sort of middle eastern pizza topped with lamb).For mains we shared mixed lamb and chicken kebabs and Maklubeh (a lamb, aubergine and rice dish). All dishes freshly cooked using good quality ingredients. Portions generous - we couldn't manage a pudding!

Had a lovely meal at Nectar this evening. We left the choices to the owner and had a superb range of delicious starters- so much so we were almost too full for a main meal. However ..... we managed our mains and shared a dessert too!!! This is a must try restaurant in Chorlton - lovely food, a warm welcome and great personal service too.

My wife and I had just spent a month touring round France, Italy, Germany and The Netherlands and our first meal out on returning home was at Nectar and I can honestly say that it was as good, if not better, than anything we had abroad. Don't get me wrong, we ate very well abroad but the quality of the food, the value for money and the general atmosphere and friendliness at Nectar was brilliant. We would recommend it to anyone wanting good food at good prices in a good atmosphere.

My friend had been before and liked it so much he took me this evening and I had such fantastic food I wanted to share my experience. Every mouthful was exquisite. Being a greedy person of course I tried my friend's dishes too and of all the starters, mains and desserts, each one was flawless. Subtle, sophisticated seasoning and perfect portion sizes, all nicely presented and served in a welcoming environment. Added to that, some of my favourite wines were on the wine list, and the generous owner gave us excellent service and shared his obvious passion for food, telling us about how some of the dishes were made etc. He made the atmosphere super welcoming, but even if he had not said a word I would have left a happy person with a full belly because the food speaks for itself. Can't wait to go back!

Had not been to Nectar for a while and decided a visit was on the cards.Still able to bring own alcoholic drinks if you wish, even though they have a bar.The staff (family) are so attentive, but not overly so!The food was absolutely gorgeous. Good choice of starters and mains and to full to cram in a dessert. The meat is always so tender and flavorsome. Had forgotten how much you get when you order the chicken kebab. The starter salad was lovely and I always have to have sujuck - it's the law and the other half had chicken livers, which he said were gorgeous. Will be back again soon to Nectar.

We paid our first visit to Nectar on Saturday evening. We phoned late to make a booking but there was a table available for us.The staff were very pleasant and chatty and it was obvious from the conversations in the restaurant that there were lots of regular customers there.The food was hot and delicious and of very good quality. The drinks were very reasonably priced as was the food. The portions were large and nicely presented.We will definitely be returning soon.

Visited here last night and its lovely. The restaurant itself is a nice cosy place, the staff are lovely. The food was really nice. We ordered lots of mezze starters instead of a main meal. I highly recommend this as its great to try lots of different dishes. The falafel and an aubergine dish were my personal favourite. We will be back im sure :).

Me & my friend has spent many hours lots of money and a lot of his petrol on the search for Manchester's middle eastern food, in a chilled atmosphere, our search ended about 2years ago, when we found nector bistro, the food is on a different level, so fresh, cooked to perfection, oh don't get started on the rice & green beans. Outstanding, the owners, very friendly, the lady is damn classy, her husband is very friendly and likes a cig, shakes my hand, no less!!! Great great place.

This is a lovely little restaurant with great food, good service and a nice atmosphere. I pre-booked our table for four on a Friday night because I assumed it would be more busy than it was. We were three vegetarians and one meat eater and there was plenty on the menu for everyone to have a lot of choice. The food was freshly prepared and tasty and arrived with just the right amount of delay. My only criticism would be that we had to ask for attention to get the dessert menu, but that's the Mediterranean way - to leave you in peace to chat! We had two bottles of wine and all had starters, mains and dessert and the bill came to around £60 per couple, which is outstanding value. It's a lovely place, the owners are very friendly and it deserves a bigger crowd than it had when we visited. Highly recommended.

I was taken here by friends I was visiting. I love trying new cuisines and this was delicious. Tasty and hot and good portions . The house rose wine was lovely too as were the staff . Thoroughly recommended.

This place is honestly amazing. We have been to Manchester many times and every time we went to visit, we made sure that we stopped by at the nectar bistro. This restaurant has everything you need. It has a nice atmosphere, is very authentic and the service is great.And the food, don't get me started on the food. It is incredible. The food is fresh and neatly prepared.One of the best things that I've eaten(among many more delicious meals there) have been:- The hummus- Jawaneh (I think that's how it's spelt)- And the Lebanese version of the musaka not the Greek one ;)

My friend and I popped into Nectar Bistro for some Saturday night dinner after a day out. It was a lovely end to the day as we were welcomed by a friendly man, and our waitress was also lovely. As far as the food goes, there was lots of choice, and especially for me as a vegetarian/vegan. The food was delicious and all in all it was good value. Little gem of a place.

Wanted somewhere where we could sit outside and enjoy the evening sun; Nectar fitted the bill perfectly. Usual great food, friendly service and an excellent bottle of Ksara, their Lebanese white wine. Great value, made even better by their mid-week discount.

Greeted with a handshake by the owner one felt very welcome.They had bought in gluten frèe pitta bread and the owner was very knowlegable about gf.I was desparate to eat chips but as they were coated in flour he forbade them.A gluten free rice dish was offered.The starters were nice but I had a huge piece of marinated salmon with raisins and almonds.Delicious !My three non gf friends also had similar meals.Servings so generous no room for puds

Nectar has been a Chorlton favourite of ours for many years, but it has been a long time since we've been.On Saturday night we were welcomed back like old friends and enjoyed a great meal with superb starters and delicious grilled meats for mains.Great Lebanese wines too.Go with family or friends and take your time over a sumptuous spread.
