The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in England

Impromptu mid week lunch and so glad we went to The Fox. Excellent food and service with the added bonus of view out to sea. We chose Tapas, squid, chilli garlic prawns, cheese and ham croquettes and Serrano ham, fig and walnut bruschetta. Ordered mozzarella and garlic bread that was yummy too. Pudding, lemon posset with fruit. Can’t fault the food at all. Service with a smile. Really unexpected quality for the cost. Can’t recommend enough. 🦊 ❤️

I came into Doncaster branch of Caffe Nero for a coffee & to catch up with some personal online business. I ordered a new coffee( Honey oat latte with honeycomb sprinkles on top. The young man who served me told me it's his current favourite drink and I can see what he means, it's delicious! I normally have a White mocha which I love too! I did decline the fresh cream as I'm trying to cut down. The best news is my next drink is a FREE 1!! Looking forward to it!! May have a cake with my free coffee.

Gorgeous, fresh food. Cannot rate this place highly enough. You have to try it. Chicken souvlaki to die for and pizza amazing. 10/10

El bar es lindo, y tenemos una mesa. Nuestro servidor nos dio la carta de vinos muy extensa y nos ayudó a navegar. Tienen vinos First Growth Bordeaux por copa que nunca podrás encontrar de los años 1990, etc. La comida era deliciosa: probamos el filete tan tierno y cuchillo no era necesario. El pato era sabroso y todo maridaba perfectamente con los vinos. Muy recomendable!

Ordenado a través de Just Eat de Lara la noche anterior, pero nunca recibió nada. El conductor dijo que había entregado cuando no lo había hecho, y el caballero que contestaba el teléfono del restaurante era el representante más patético de un negocio que me había encontrado. Después de coincidir inicialmente con "es uno de estos conductores", volvió a llamar después de revisar la historia (falsa) del conductor para decirme a través de risas infantiles que era mi palabra contra el conductor, por lo que "no sabía qué decir". Una disculpa hubiera sido un comienzo.Solo puedo suponer que la comida es tan abismal como el personal, pero nunca pude probarlo. Recibí un reembolso de Just Eat, pero solo después de una noche de hambre y molestias. Evitar a toda costa.

Appalling Over two and half hours, too many phone calls kept getting told it was on the way be ten minutes, better minutes, be five minutes. Told driver was not answering their phone. Never called back as they said they would not once! Food eventually arrived stone cold! Not even slight heat. Couldn’t eat as was chicken and had a 3 year old and a pregnant daughter with me. Spoke to restaurant again and the rude and patronising staff again said they would call back after the investigated refund. Still waiting!!!!!!!!

I got a table for yesterday night. It was an important business meal and we realized the place was closed when we were there. I tried to call, and I sent a message on Google. no answer.It's a big shame. Even today, no mail, anything. I'm so disappointed. Happy New Year!

REINA GRILL– One of the Best Kebab Spots in Headington, Oxford! Reina Grill is hands down one of the best Turkish kebab takeaways in Headington, Oxford. Super clean, authentic, and absolutely delicious! Whether it’s chicken or lamb skewers, the flavours transport you straight to Turkey. Their chicken doner is my personal favourite – juicy and full of flavour. The lamb is just as good, and don’t even get me started on the large burgers 🍔 and crispy chips – unreal! The Greek salad is always fresh and tasty, and even their fried chicken hits the spot. There’s a cosy little eat-in area for about 8–9 people, perfect for a quick meal. My daughter always stops by when she’s back from town and calls me: “Dad, I’m at Reina want anything?” And I always say, “What kind of question is that?! Grab my kebab!” 😄 It’s right by the Headington bus stop, just off the edge of Bury Knowle Park great for a summer picnic pickup. Since Covid, it’s become our go to spot – always the first place that comes to mind for takeaway. It’s also great for students – top quality, great prices. Yasin, the regular guy behind the counter, is top notch friendly, helpful, and always adds a little extra like a drink or snack. They’ve even got a 5-star ⭐ hygiene rating from the council – just another reason we keep going back. Just had Galaxy take away. Had the new Donner Supreme pizza and donner meat and chips. Absolutely banging. 10/10 for taste 🍔🌯🍟🍕

The sunny terrace with DJ on a Friday evening with small plates and 241 cocktails is perfect - I can’t recommend this place enough. The service is great.

Looks closed and believe planning permission hasbeen granted for change to residential use. Past reviews seem to indicate they are never open except perhaps for some private functions.

Excellent position and a lovely building. Very pleasant restaurant with plenty of room between the tables. Service was attentive and we didn't have to wait long between courses. We both chose the steak frites which was fine but not the best in my experience, hence the dropping of one star. We would however visit again if we were in the area.
