The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in England

We visited on a Saturday with friends and once parked we visited the Woodfire Restaurant. Wine and food were top class and the Porterhouse Steak cooked in the Wood Fired Oven tasted delightful. Service was excellent, drinks were topped up as required. The only change i'd make is a lighter coloured background on the menu - not a biggie! Looking forward a Sunday Lunch there soon.

It was great apart from the fact that someone took my jacket and didn't bring it back.

The service was wonderful, they were friendly & jovial. The food was amazing and the portions generous. Highly recommend and will definitely go back

Arrive at 13.30 6 people drinks and food order straight away but waiting 45 mimutes for starters -5 starters arrived and waiting for last one for ages - soup - no spoon so waiting again- half way through starters drinks arrived wine but no glasses then main course in different stages one person nearly finished and other still waiting food was cold side vegetables arrived when we nearly done so disappointed and pudding we order was banana toffee pie but arrive block of frozen ice cover with chocolate such lovely location but terrible food

Very cute and cozy place. Plenty of food choices on their menu. Service was also great and the drinks were tasty. Every time I visit Cobham I go to Coppa as it has always been a great experience.

If you’re in the area and craving authentic Portuguese cuisine, Bela Lisboa could be a great choice!

We had a quite fine dinner, the food was good but not excellent, the staff looked inexperienced but kind and gentle that s more important.

Primera vez de vuelta desde la nueva propiedad y renovación total y no decepcionado. Buen menú, gran selección, todo recién y magníficamente cocinado y presentado. Ambiente muy agradable y el personal muy acogedor. El único inconveniente son las escaleras. Hay un vuelo inicial hasta el restaurante desde el nivel de la calle y luego los baños bajan otro vuelo, estos también están en ángulo, que no se puede acceder de otra manera tan difícil para cualquiera con problemas de movilidad, que uno de nuestra fiesta tiene.

Do not order for delivery. Drivers lie, didn’t show up and apparently the drivers word is as good as law and better than cctv and better yet driver can defy geography and the speed of light!! Customer services are rude. They need to be taught it’s hospitality NOT hostility!! Go on trust pilot and you’ll see it’s a regular occurrence with them!!! No food, no refund AVOID AVOID AVOID

Overall very poor. We were the only couple in the restaurant when we arrived. When we ordered our food the first item we ordered garlic flat bread had not been run through with a pizza wheel and was difficult to cut with a table knife sliding around on a plate. My wife ordered lamb rump which was,nt available so ordered the gammon with egg and i ordered pasta. The pasta was a little dry but ok but the eggs on my wifes meal were crispy round the edges and the chips which should of been new potatoes were over cooked or cooked in oil that needed cleaning .Considering we were the only ones in the restaurant when ordering it amazes me they managed to get the order wrong. The fact the restaurant and the bar had know one in when we arrived (7pm) speaks volumes. I would not visit it again.

I can honestly say this was the worst experience I have ever had in terms of food and customer service. I attended on a Thursday evening in December with work colleagues for our Christmas party. We paid £40 a head so although I recognise the food limitations of large parties, I expected a certain standard for this price. Firstly the food. Starters were luke warm. You could stand a spoon up in my oily soup. Turkey was full of gristle. Cheesecake was a strange texture and inedible. Worse than that though, a vegetarian in our group was told then had run out of her pre ordered option. As an alternative she was given a plate of potatoes and carrots. They had no vegetarian gravy. Someone else in the group was a vegan and despite asking for options in advance, was not given a reply. What she was given on the night was really poor. We faked to speak to the manager. He declined initially. Eventually he agreed to talk to us but wouldn’t come to the table to see the problem. He names his event manager and blamed it on her. She wasn’t there to defend herself. He then blamed an agency chef. When my colleague said the experience did not make us want to stay and spend even more money to which he replied ‘bye then. You lot just want free drinks’. So rude. We stayed as there was nowhere else nearby to go. About 20 minutes from the end the waiting staff appeared with a few bottles of cheap wine. The waiting staff I have to say were polite and apologetic. I felt really sorry for them as their manager did nothing to support them. I will never set foot in that place again. It was so poor I was almost speechless. Worst food and customer service I have e we had. It was like fawlty towers.

This was our third time going to The George but unfortunately will not be going back. We sat in the bar area due to having a small dog with us. We stood waiting for a member of staff for over 5 minutes, before going and finding someone to ask for our table. She was very dismissive and seemed annoyed we were there. We were then sat at the wrong table. It took over 45 minutes for the food to arrive, with starters being forgotten, and dishes were luke warm. I felt quite sorry for the one member of staff on the bar who seemingly had to serve people drinks, take food orders, collect plates of food, clear the tables and sort out the bill without any help from other members of staff. It is a shame as the food itself is of a high quality, if a bit on the pricey side, and the restaurant caters well for various dietary requirements. We left feeling more of an inconvenience than a valued customer and won't be returning.

Extremely disappointing!!!! For a Lebanese restaurant you would expect some flavour in the wrap! There was no tahini, hoummous or any Lebanese dips within the wrap. It was a pre made wrap displayed in the unit that warmed up thrown on a plate with no sides add one pickled chilli and served! Awful service and disgraceful food!!! I do not recommend anyone who is looking for tasty Lebanese food to come here!

Este bar ahora se llama "Social de Wilson". Fui allí la semana pasada a tomar una copa por la noche. Señalé la rosa que quería y pregunté por el tamaño. El hombre me dio la máquina de tarjetas y por suerte lo comprobé, porque decía 7. Le pregunté por qué como decía el menú 4. 90 Dijo "es diferente pero como sea" y puso 5. 90 en la máquina de tarjetas. Señalé nuevamente que el menú decía 4. 90 y agarró agresivamente la máquina para poner este precio y dijo "el menú está mal" como si fuera mi culpa que el menú de su barra fuera incorrecto. Hombre extremadamente grosero y ¡CAMBIA TU MENÚ si los precios son incorrectos! ! !

Couldn’t fault this place - although the waiting staff are a bit stony faced they are pretty efficient in serving which is the most important thing. Food is great - I knew it would be once I passed the front counter! Meat and kebabs piled high waiting to go on the grill. Portions generous and prices good. Would have liked a nice Turkish beer to wash down my lunch but instead the turkish tea did the job. Would come back if in the area. PS the meat platters looked amazing!
