The best restaurants serving Japanese food in City Centre Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Went to Edinburgh for the day and found this place on our tour! It has only been open a month the owner told us. The food was absolutely amazing! Please check out the pics I posted.. you won’t be disappointed 😋

Bubble Tea was divine. It was a bit of a wait but Taro Tea definitely worth it. Would definitely return.

Great ramen, music a bit loud and obnoxious but otherwise the best ramen joint in Edinburgh

Gar nicht einfach zu finden das Hibiki - da es unterhalb also im Basement unter einem thailaendischen sich befindet. Die Einrichtung ist nett aber nichts besonderes. Was mich sehr beeindruckt hat war die Qualitaet der vewendeten Produkte war ausgezeichnet. Ich haette mehrmals Thunfisch und der war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Preislich ist das Restaurant aber auch schon etwas gehobener - aber immer noch voellig in Ordnung fuer das was geboten wird.

While the food is good, avoid this place on Friday evenings. Service is subpar, slow, and requires chasing staff for action. It's cash only. We ordered two mains, and they asked if we would accept the second after the first. If two people order simultaneously, we expect food to arrive at a similar time, not after one person finishes. They need more staff.

Slightly dissapointing unfortunately. This was mostly down to the service. We waited 20 minutes before even being asked for what drinks we wanted. We ordered our food and I clearly pointed and said what we wanted, but we were given the wrong dish twice. However, the sushi was pretty good, not outstanding, but very tasty none the less. Would we come back here? Probably not, with so many options in Edinburgh, we'd try somewhere else. Overall, a bit dissapointing.

Good service, staff very friendly and food was also nice

Good service but food quality was less than average. Sushi was Ok but chicken teriyaki was bad, most of it was plain rice, chicken was scarce and tasteless, and there was an evident lack of vegetables. Sad if you consider they charge £9 per Teriyaki dish. We won’t come back.

So glad we finally decided to try this restraunt! Beautiful food, the chicken onigiri is one of the best things ive ever tried! 5 star service, super quick delivery every time we order. Thanks for the salmon and cream cheese freebie this will be one of our new favs!!! Amazing thanks again

Valoraría altamente su comida y servicio. Me encanta cómo la camarera gestiona todo, desde asientos hasta la caja de pagos. Ella es educada y muy comprensiva con nuestras necesidades. Su comida es increíble y a un precio razonable también. Si me encuentro en Edimburgo de nuevo, sin duda voy a ir allí una vez más! ¡Mantenga el excelente servicio!

Have been to Wagas few times before and always came out filling satisfied, however this time we were little disappointed with the taste of food. We had ordered the regulars, Firecracker tofu and kariskew chicken curry. Service was good with no waiting times even on a Friday evening
