So glad we finally decided to try this restraunt! Beautiful food, the chicken onigiri is one of the best things ive ever tried! 5 star service, super quick delivery every time we order. Thanks for the salmon and cream cheese freebie this will be one of our new favs!!! Amazing thanks again

I live close by and regularly order from here - I absolutely love the onigiri and it’s become a comfort food for me. Not once have I had an issue, and you can tell that care and effort is put into all their food. With my most recent order, they added an extra onigiri with a lovely little note to say thanks for ordering. Little gestures and the extra care from smaller businesses always makes the them the best. 10/10 recommend Oriento :)

Do NOT order a takeaway from this restaurant on Just Eat as your food will not arrive but they will take your money! I have never had such dreadful service. The restaurant said the driver had left the restaurant and then an hour later, they phoned me to say that could not contact him as he worked for Just Eat, not them . No apologies or any attempt to re deliver. They should not be on Just Eat !

I've ordered from here quite a few times now, and the food is consistently great. Usually get the sushi, but the BBQ pork buns, gyoza and xiaolongbao are also amazing every time. I'd post a photo but I usually eat it too fast to give me a chance to take one!

Awful communication, make sure you have a back up if you don't wont to go hungry. Put a lunch order through a couple of hours before pick up, also called 30 min before collection to be told they were to busy and if there were any problems I would be called. Arrived to collect and they had no knowledge of the order, incredibly disappointed by attitude.

Ordered a takeaway via Deliveroo for the first time today. Had nigiri duo of salmon and tuna and spicy tuna inside- out rolls. Absolutely delicious! So fresh and beautifully presented. The spicy tuna rolls were so tasty and different. We will definitely be ordering from Oriento again- can't wait to try other things from the menu. Good value for excellent quality sushi.

The best Japanese food in Edinburgh! Marvelous! Love curry and veggie rolls and gyoza! all fresh and lots of layers of tastes. Absolutely lovely!

Oriento is a takeway at the bottom of Dundas Street that sells sushi, gyozu, soup and a small choice of main dishes. The sushi in particular is excellent - really good quality ingredients with a keen attention to detail.

It was the first time we have ordered from Oriento, we were impressed by the presentation and quality, the poké bowls were delicious! Will definitely order from them again.

Best Sushi in Edinburgh and for a very reasonable price. We have tried a number of sushi places closer to where we live but Oriento stands above the rest. High quality and delicious! Thanks Oriento.

I have ordered salmon poke and avocado maki via Deliveroo today. It’s the second time that I ordered from Oriento and each of these times I was impressed by the quality and taste of the food. Salmon was fresh, avocado was perfectly soft and teriyaki sauce perfectly added sweet and sour notes to the poke bowl. The food is packed very neatly and presentable that deserves a praise. The restaurant ratings meet the reality and you feel no pity spending money for such a gastronomic pleasure!

Eaten from Oriento 4 or 5 times now (just about got that menu covered). Wanted to write again as just been in town which is so busy with tourists eating in mediocre chain restaurants. Walk 5 -8 mins down the road for the best sushi ever. Just picked up lunch for myself and son. Gyoza, noodle salad and crispy salmon roll today. DELICIOUS. Really, it’s so worth the trip.

Meetung a friend locally we were looking for a wee bite to eat and ended up at Oriento. A carry out cafe with some bar style seating by the window. Great choice of food from sushi to warm dishes including bao buns. We had a range of dishes to share, all super delicious. Staff are very friendly. Easy to miss as right at the corner but ot gets 10 out of 10 points from me.

Enjoyed our meal from Oriento and we tried lots of things. Would recommend the gyoza, tiger roll, teriyaki chicken rice bowl and miso soup. Basically everything was good! Will definitely go again.

Recommendation! The BEST Japanese sushi, teriyaki, maki, nigiri at totally affordable prices. There is a wee takeaway (you can sit in on a high stool at the window if you like) opened up on the corner of Dundas Street and Henderson Row. It’s called Oriento...
