Maki & Ramen Fountainbridge in Edinburgh, City of

It's not our first time in Maki and Ramen but every time is a unique experience. Amazing food and amazing service thanks to Gregor.

Gigi was very cute, kind and helpful. The food was delicious. The service was also quite fast, despite the level of hecticness of the restaurant. I was genuinely expecting Japanese songs, especially from the 80s, but instead got English pop. Nevertheless, the atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely.

Only ordered delivery, it was fine but over priced for the quality. They put some weird bright pink sauce/syrup on a vegetarian avocado pumpkin roll. Was super weird and gross.

When it's cold, you want warm, comforting food. We arrived in Edinburgh and chose a vegetarian ramen and another with meat. It was very disappointing, the ramen was tasteless and tasteless... it was honestly the worst I've ever eaten. Even the egg was poorly prepared, the tofu was poorly prepared and of poor quality. All I had was a flavorless broth and noodles that weren't the best I've ever had. My two stars go to the wonderful staff who understood that we didn't like the food and did everything they could to improve our experience.

Visited the fountainpark branch for a little date lunch, the restaurant has a nice chill atmosphere and our server Jamie made sure we were well taken care of :) sushi and ramen here are delicious!!

Oh, Maki and Ramen, my heart full of woe, I walked through your doors with a hopeful glow. But fate was cruel, the shelves were bare, No matcha crème brûlée waiting there. The caramel top, the velvet green, A dessert so rich, now just a dream. I sighed, I mourned, I turned away, Longing for sweetness another day.

We drove for hours, through rain and mist, For Maki & Ramen—we couldn’t resist. Dreams of matcha, smooth and sweet, A creamy brûlée, the perfect treat. But fate was cruel, the menu bare, “No matcha brûlée,”—a waiter’s stare. Alright, no worries, plan B in sight, “The matcha brownie?”—“Not here tonight.” Defeated, we sat, our spirits low, Chopsticks poised, but hearts said “no.” The ramen was rich, the broth divine, Yet dessertless sorrow shadowed the dine. So we drove back home, the night unfair, Two matcha dreams—vanished in air.

Maki and Ramen is like the Japanese family I've never had. The food is every time mouth watering and done perfectly, and the people (Jamie this time, babe) who work here are so lovely and create the best place to eat out. Will come here as long as it stays open, which hopefully goes until one day they cater my funeral. Thanks M&R x

It was a lovely experience, service was extremely fast (servers name was Jamie). Food was absolutely amazing and full of flavour, I would highly recommend the black garlic ramen! Cant wait to come again.
