Delicious food, welcoming people and atmosphere.

Food was great and our server Jamie was very helpful. He helped me figure out what I could eat with my gluten allergy and was very knowledgeable!

Jamie was a great server & made sure our gluten free friend was looked after the whole time!

It was a lovely experience, service was extremely fast (servers name was Jamie). Food was absolutely amazing and full of flavour, I would highly recommend the black garlic ramen! Cant wait to come again.

Our server Aillse was really welcoming and even gave us a candle that said "happy birthday" on it for our cake! The food was all delicious - I loved the black dragon rolls, vegan pumpkin rolls and vegan black garlic tonkotsu.

We have a lovely time at Maki and Ramen tonight spending our Xmas voucher. We loved jamming with Jamie as he made sure we had everything we wanted. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We love coming to Maki and Ramen. The kids loved putting post it notes up. And getting Mocktails. Food was great, we love the takoyaki. Our waitress was really kind and helpful. We’ll be back!

Ramen heaven. Slight negative when the waitress asked twice if we were ok with chopsticks. This did not make a difference. The flavour was banging. Cannot recommend this place enough.

One of Most nice Food I've ever had

Absolutely delicious Ramen in a fantastic setting with excellent service.

First of all they are the only honest restaurant who says they are open till 2200 and stay open until then last call at 21:30 all others in the neighborhood fake open until 10 and they close their kitchen at 20:30 and please note there is a rush of customers at 21 of all the other restaurants refusal to serve people flock to this place. Service is immaculate and staff is welcoming and friendly and will deliver to you fluffy and Fresh foods. Everything is super zesty and healthy and makes you feel good to consume. We will def return back for the food and friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff.

Tried Maki ramen since 2021 and how time flies. I can see they are definitely improving themselves all the time. Food is just getting more delicious with a better service. Additionally, I find that they start to use QR code to order food. That’s rly convenient. What’s more , the app offers a free drink after my made my order, which is good.

Finally given up on this restaurant. I checked our banking app and our family has previouslu spent just over £1300 at Maki & Ramen. To be honest, the food experience has always been erratic in the Fountainbridge restaurant. (Far less so in St James) There have been times when the food has been excellent. But there have been times when it has fallen way short. Previously my birthday meal, was disappointing. The second last time I visited there, I ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen. When the ramen was placed on the table, it smelt slightly burnt. I tried to eat it but was really dissatisfied. Eventually I decided to tell the server. Instead of accepting what I was saying, the server tried to tell me that it was just how the dish is meant to be. This is not true as I have had this ramen many times previously from this branch and the St James branch - it never tasted burnt. They kept on insisting that it wasn't and it felt like I was being gaslit as if I was somehow imagining this. While they did replace the ramen, they simply kept on insisting rather than letting me enjoy my meal with my family. It was not a good experience and was very unhappy and annoyed when I left. A few weeks pass and there is another show nearby at the Usher Hall. I decided despite the bad experience on the last visit, I would give them another chance. We came into the restaurant and right from the get go, we started getting passive aggressive comments from the server who recognised us from before. She went out her way to make our visit uncomfortable. For example, when we finished our food, she asked 'Is there anything you wamt to complain about?'. She brought over the bill and the card reader like she was ejecting us. I never requested the bill and my wife was still drinking her drink. All I did was tell them the food they were serving tasted like it was burnt. I decided to let it go, moved on and then got treated very badly. I will never return to the Fountainbridge branch and feel so let down. This is twice where I left the restaurant right before a show, and felt really unhappy and annoyed.

Great Ramen & Sushi experience! Quality, presentation, service and atmosphere - everything is there! Ample taste choice, decent prices in a clean and peculiar décor. Highly recommended!

Had a great time , food was awesome ! Jamie the waiter was very kind and attentive through out the hole service !! Thanos showed up and jamie single handadly defeated him in battle while carrying 2 plates of ramen and was made an avenger on the spot. Now thats costomer service.

Jamie while on shift he saved an orphan from a burning building, gave me a free Lamborghini and cured the blind, all while making sure customers were satisfied and the food was out on time

I live this location of Maki and Ramen. The hell Ramen is my favorite. I like it spicy! Furthermore, Jamie was a stellar host and server. He made things quick, easy and warm. Which was great for a particularly cold day in Edinburgh. Worth the visit!

The food was pretty average, nothing too special. The tempura prawns were crispy. The ramen was hot which was great. The chicken katsu curry tasted very average. Sushi was good but fell apart easily. The seats we were seated at weren’t comfy. You couldn’t lean back on the backrest… not great. The service wasn’t too good either, we never got asked how our food was. There was a service charge but we didn’t get any service. The waitress who took our order had a bit of an attitude as well. Usually, we don’t mind paying service charge if we actually get a service.

Kailey was really nice to us and the ramen (black garlic tonkotsu) 🍜 was the best vegan 🌱 ramen I have ever had. Just the waiting time was longer than expected, almost 30 minutes. But it was also Saturday evening so I am sure they did what they could.
