Good service but food quality was less than average. Sushi was Ok but chicken teriyaki was bad, most of it was plain rice, chicken was scarce and tasteless, and there was an evident lack of vegetables. Sad if you consider they charge £9 per Teriyaki dish. We won’t come back.

Quite an overstimulating restaurant. First time visiting Sapporo and unfortunately I won't be returning. The service was very slow. We arrived for our reservation at 7:45pm and got to actually eat our main meal at 9pm. For the food I got it was not worth the money charged and involuntary tip on top. £44 for 2 spring rolls, prawns and shared sides (underwhelming dry "sautéed" potatoes and egg fried rice with veggies). I did enjoy the mocktails they served though so 2 stars for that.

We used to love this place but the last couple of times we’ve been it’s just not been nearly as good. On our last visit we were there three hours and only ordered sushi rolls. The service was so slow and the sushi was kind of tasteless (and at £20 a roll you’d expect it to taste of something). We ordered tap water and during the three hours we were there, no one asked if we’d like another drink. We asked for the bill and after 30 minutes it still hadn’t come so we ended up getting up to pay at the counter. Such a shame as this used to be one of our favourite spots in the city.

Delicious food, very quick, great menu. Food is perfect every time. But sometimes service can be a little curt, you can feel hurried as your plate or glass is whipped away as you take the last swig or mouthful. Super efficient and great if you are in a rush. It is refreshing in some ways as some places are the opposite.

This is one of the best places to eat in Fife! Everything was perfection! Very reasonably priced for the food and the experience! Staff were extremely kind and hospitable! I have an allergy also, which staff were incredibly mindful too! Thank you! Go to Koku Shi ♥️

No puedo esperar a volver

¡No decepciona!

This restaurant moved across the street and down a little bit. They now serve ramen, which my wife said was outstanding, in addition to other fare. My server was able to immediately understand my need for gluten free sushi and told me exactly what I could and could not have. The pickled ginger on my sushi plate was some of the best I’ve had in a long time, not the dyed red garbage from a jar. I would absolutely go back in the future.

It was not ok but not amazing and won’t rush back. Noodles were fine but not as tasty as others I’ve had. Tried 4 different sushis and the rice felt like it was overcooked and chewy, the fillings didn’t taste like they were freshly prepared, it was as if they had sat a while because the tempura king prawn was tough and had a bit soggy. The siracha mayo wasn’t the nicest and there was one with iceberg lettuce in it which wasn’t described and it wasn’t pleasant. Wanted to love it but was a bit disappointing.

You might blink and miss this restaurant, the frontage is quite small and it’s also known as Rice Time. The interior is more of a cafe style than posh restaurant, although they do have an alcohol licence. Drawback is that it can get noisy, just loud chat from other diners! There are private and karaoke rooms upstairs, Toilets are upstairs, didn’t see a disabled toilet but there might be one on the ground level. Staff are friendly, service is prompt. The menu is authentic Japanese, I’ve travelled in Japan a few times. There are numerous dishes with plenty of options including vegan and vegetarian. The other SE Asian dishes are also authentic, have travelled around there. Portions are a generous size and prices are very good value. We all enjoyed our food and would probably return. Liked the variety of teas, would have had the matcha ice cream but they were out of it.
