What a delicious well priced meal. We had Teriyake and a curry, really delicious, fresh and vibrant. Great friendly service. Well recommended.

Delicious food with many options to pick from. The customer service was exceptional; the staff went above and beyond by providing me with a vase for my flowers. Overall, Kibou is a good choice for anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. I highly recommend it!

Excellent quality, fast & efficient service. Reasonable prices. It is a great find. I would happily return with friends and family. It is a small restaurant so I do advise to make a reservation as I was very lucky to get the only place at the sushi bar as another customer was about to leave. It is not a fancy place but I would rather have great food than ornate decor.

I miss this place, I wonder why it closed and if it will ever open again 💔

The 4 of us arrived at 6:45pm, sat down, had our drinks order taken, then we’re served our drinks. We then had our food order taken at around 7pm. It had gotten to just after 8pm and we had still not been served any food. When I asked the waitress how long our food would likely be, she explained she forgot to put the order through and we would have to re order. We were completely shocked to hear this. Our table was right infront of the bar and kitchen pass, how was it that all 4/5 of the waiting staff working didn’t notice we hadn’t had any food. This was really quite poor. They apologised and offer us some free drinks, but I just couldn’t get over the fact that they completely missed our food order. The restaurant didn’t even seem that busy. Such a shame, but overall the food was very nice and the 4 of us had a good meal.

As a family of 4 we have been eating here ever since it first opened including many extended family members and friends, group parties and family milestones have been celebrated here. The food has always been exceptional. However, last night 18th Oct 2024 we were presented with the bill whereby they added 20%VAT without warning or prior knowledge of this. As we were paying cash we had ordered based on this with a tip included for the staff. As a result the £120 cash I had didn’t cover the bill, let alone the tip which came to nearly £140 with the VAT added. The business owner refused to come and talk to us when we politely asked. A waitress explained that it was displayed on the back of the menu, and sure enough on the last page (which we didn’t order from) at the bottom it says all food and drinks are subject to 20%VAT to be added at the end, she added that their lawyer and accountant has said this is legal….well even if it is, they removed it immediately we paid in cash and left. The business is doomed if this is how they are treating loyal customers. It feels very sneaky, no transparency just out to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. If you’re adding 20% to everything just do that in the menu on all the items! They’ve just lost a whole lot of future custom. What a shame & a waste. Guessing people will revert back to Iro Sushi and Koroko. We on the other hand will be dining at the Japanese BBQ in East Molesey from now on. Ben

I got a couple of chicken dishes and some kimchi pancakes. The pancakes were the best thing out of the 3. I was really impressed that the food was still nice and hot when it arrived as we were quite far from the restaurant. I think the chicken dishes were slightly overpriced for what they were, but weren't bad at all. I liked that you got little pots for dipping with the pancakes and the Karaage. It was all nice enough but I'd probably try somewhere else when I'm craving Kimchi pancakes next time...

This is a very good restaurant and genuine Japanese food!!! Sad that the team is retiring and closed down now.

Service was first class, but the quality of food was in excess of multiple stared Michelin Restaurants nearby. Could not rate this place more highly.

Discasting food, not good service 💀

Usually my favourite sushi place , it was busy on the day I visited and there was a sign saying they were short staffed. However after waiting at least five minutes and not being acknowledged, I looked at all the tables and none of them had food . Normally the service is very efficient and quick, as well as the food being excellent. On this occasion as I had very little time to spare I decided that I would not wait, very unusual for me as I had gone out of my way to visit this restaurant. Not a very satisfying experience
