Just ordered this on deliveroo and wow it’s the best sushi I’ve had in London. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!

Popped into the new location at the Wing Yip Centre on Purley Road .... and was exceptionally impressed. The owner was lovely and very friendly and the sushi was awesome. I had a 'spicy box' and could not fault the taste, presentation or serving size. Serioulsy worth a visit.

Sadly, we went for the sushi buffet on the last day of their offer and it felt like they just gave us all the leftover ingredients. The fish was old and grey with very little taste. And the sushi rolls were falling apart or covered in weird sauce to give it some kind of flavour. Very disappointed at the quality we received, given the pictures take from others.

I order delivery as a special treat. The spicy inside out tuna is outstanding, and the soft shell crab is a brilliant addition! Fresh, fresh, fresh fish, the yellow tail melts in the mouth, and the wasabi is very piquant. There is often more fish than rice in a maki, which is very indulgent! It is not cheap, but it is absolute quality. And consistent.

Ordered two uramaki, crispy duck and chicken teriyaki. Both are quite nice, and the owner is very very kind. He offered me two bowls of miso soup and even some sushi, claiming that the fish is very fresh and needs to be tasted at its best state) The experience is very warmhearted and I really appreciate it! Yo y mi novia encantadora nos sorprendió encontrar este increíble restaurante tan vacío en un martes por la noche. Nos complacemos con dos entrantes y dos principales. Las Gyoza’s eran la cantidad correcta de crujiente y sabor. El katsu era sublime, quizás podría tener más salsa. El budae jjigae te volará los calcetines tan fuerte que pensarás que una granada ha detonado debajo de tus pies. 10 / 10 recomendaría, factura llegó a apenas £ 50 con cervezas involucradas también. Hagamos que este lugar esté ocupado porque se lo merece.

Terrible service. I approached the restaurant and wasn’t greeted by anyone so promptly sat down and had a look at a nearby menu. After a short while a waitress came over and told me “you can’t sit there, it’s reserved”. Doesn’t offer me an alternative unprovoked so I asked “where can I sit then?”. She gestures over to a much more boring area. So I sit down there again and grab a menu from the other side of the bar. Still not receiving any type of service. Eventually I ask another waitress “can I get served please?”. She said yes in a minute. Original waitress comes over and says “so are you ready to order?”. There’s no hint of hospitality in her demeanour. I ask “what’s the deal with the Happy Hour?” On the menu it states “Happy Hour, Thurs-Sun until 8pm”. She says “2-4-1 but we’re not doing that.” No apology no explanation no hospitality no service. After that I decided to give up on the whole thing and left. Very disappointing as it had dishes I wanted to try.

This is a really cosy place, would be lovely for a date. Popped in while travelling for work and was so well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, and the food was amazing.

Staff are great and food always delivers. V good value
