So yummy and good it’s the best.

Since inception I've used Sushi54. I've ordered 1000's of meals over the years. The food is consistently exceptionally fresh and very tasty. The packaging environmentally friendly (unlike The Sushi Co who I've used once and never again!). Sushi54 has been part of my life for years. At the end of a very busy work week having their nigiri set with a glass of wine is something I always look forward to. It just can't be beaten.Thank you so so much to all at Sushi54 for your fabulous food for so many years.

Sushi rolls of 4 pieces - never seen it before. Greasy and softy bland noodles with clearly frozen prawns. Over priced for small portions which you don’t expect from a local take away. Very disappointing, won’t go again. I don’t understand the almost 5 stars rates it got.

Delicious sushi every time I've ordered. Yes, it's quite pricey but you get what you pay for, tuna sashimi that actually melts in your mouth is not cheap anywhere!

Best sushi in Putney. I’ve been ordering sushi from Sushi54 since they opened (at least 10 years ago now!). The sushi is delicious, fresh, reasonably priced and always arrives on time. Good variety of sushi plus a few hot dishes (they also have poke bowls advertised when you walk past but can’t see online). Staff are friendly, can collect points on orders for small discount. Would definitely recommend - support a small, local business.

Afraid tonight a complete let down. Nearly 2 hours for food to arrive. If they cannot make good on orders in good time then why take the order. The food is good, we’ve been loyal customers but tonight is the last time.

You’d be pushed to find better Sushi. Have been eating here ever since they first started and can’t believe I haven’t left a review before. Quite simply my favourite Sushi restaurant. Quality is second to none. Alex and the team are fantastic. If you haven’t tried them, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

A well served dinner within Putney

Super fast delivery and perfect packaging. I ordered a takeaway sashimi set, and it was delicious. Also, each piece was generously cut. I will definitely order again.

Ordered food from Sushi54, having done so a few times before. Having been frustrated by Deliveroo's add on charges, we ordered direct which offers 10% off. Order at 7.30pm and told food would arrive in less than an hour. At 8.35pm, called to ask where food was and we were told they'd had a number of big orders come in (fine, but not our fault or why it should delay our order). At 9pm, still no food - called to ask where it was, barely get an apology, let along an offer of discount on this or future orders. My guess is they prioritse Deliveroo orders where you can choose a time frame and other walk-in/ direct orders that are big. Not a great way to run a buisness. I do think the sushi is good, but given their behaviour, I don't want ot give them more business.

Absolutely DELICIOUS!! It's fresh, yummy, nicely presented, love the sauces. Honestly it is so so good. My personal faves are the asparagus and bean tempura with a wasabi mayonnaise as well as the baby squid tempura with itst pickled cucumber. Admittedly I am a complete sucker for yummy sauces but the rolls are all yummy and the fish is so fresh. Highly recommend!

Definitely the best quality sushi restaurant that delivers in our area. It can get a bit pricey, but the quality of the fish is very good, and they are usually very quick to deliver. We always enjoy.

Ordered a delivery and it was excellent sushi. Very fresh, nicely presented and exceptionally tasty. Nice to see that it was mainly served in cardboard boxes although the sauces were all in little plastic pots but I'm not sure what the alternative could be. Not giving it 5 stars because it is a little on the pricey side.

We came here for a quick bite in between sets ofa music festival we were attending nearby and ended up missing a complete set as the service was so slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but apparently they had a few take out orders to fill before they getting to us. So we waited, very hungry as order after order of take out was run by us. We waited maybe 20 minutes or more to get our order (almost all of it was raw so almost no cooking time). After waiting so long we hoped that the flavors would make up the difference for the lost time, but it was only average at best - very mediocre, very disappointing.

Really delicious food. I ordered on deliveries and wish it had stated what condiments came with it. I chose this place because the photos looked like it would be delivered without plastic. Wasabi/ginger came with the sushi and was put on the cardboard box without plastic but I ordered extra as I didn't know if it came with it and sadly these bits came in plastic. However, they clearly care and are doing an amazing job at reducing plastic. The food was mega!

Had takeaway from the new take-away only location on Goldhawk Rd. It is the best sushi that I’ve had since moving to the Bush 2 years ago. Super fresh fish and wonderfully sticky rice. The seaweed is so fresh as well. We ordered on Friday and we’re getting it again tonight! So happy this place moved nearby. Absolutely delicious!

So far it's a five star from me because they have incredible sushi 🍥 🍣 (for example the scallops one is so good) but also the prawn stir-fry has great tasting fresh prawns and fantastic noodles, the only thing that is lacking is the small amount of asparagus you get. Other sushis I would recommend there include the prawn and the tuna. The octopus one is good but perhaps not as exciting as it could have been. Seaweed salad 🥗 is good too. Tasty ice cream with the Japanese flavours. Overall, quite expensive but worth it.

Proof that great sushi need not cost the earth. Selection of vegetarian sushi was fantastic. Mix of salmon and tuna sushi to follow. Great miso nice cold beer.

I absolutely love this place. The quality is always amazing, the fish is always fresh and it is good value compared to other sushi restaurants. Dont recommend this place. Presentation is more important to this place than the food...you have much better sushi in Putney and I have tried most places. Honestly, after my experience today, I would be better off getting sushi from Waitrose. Very disappointing to pay so much for so little. If in you are from Putney just try Ohayo or Midori, which I tried and they are consistently good. Never again i will order from here.

I was babysitting for my sister and she left me £20 to order in sushi. Plenty! (From my experiences of other sushi places that deliver in this area). Fair enough, I order on a Saturday night at 8pm and they tell me it will he a 90 min wait. On 90 mins I call and my order hadn’t been made. It arrives 10 mins later but the number of rolls for the order placed is pathetic. Badly made rolls obviously in a hurry. The worse delivery of sushi I’ve ever had. No wonder they haven’t had a review in almost a year. Avoid at all costs.

Wonderful sushi and quick delivery. They have also always been great with allergy requirements.

This is a super sushi restaurant - a firm favourite with my family. I know that most of their business is takeaway, but if you are lucky enough to be able to sit in the alcove area (a 4/5 seat table) it is quiet and relaxed. My two boys (8 and 11) and I ordered king prawn tempura, salmon tempura and a large nigiri and sashimi set. The prawns were of a generous size, the tempura was light and crispy and the salmon full of flavour. Both sets were beautifully presented and offered some of the finest sushi I have had outside Mayfair - and at competitive prices too. If looking for something different in Putney, then Sushi 54 would be a great choice.

If you want proper sushi then you should go to sushi cafe in battersea buffet for 17 pound you get much more then here...

Excellent sushi, we normally order online an pick it up. The sushi is very fresh and well made. We have eaten there once but there are only a few tables available.

Ordered a few hours in advance and delivery arrived in time. Everything nicely presented and very tasty. The coleslaw was not super-fresh but everything else was.

My daughter and I have always headed to Sushi 54 every time she is home from university - it is our favourite place to have lunch or an early supper when we are in the Putney area of London and have never ever had a bad meal there - the food is fresh, made to order in clean minimalist surroundings and just tastes so good and mighty delicious. Try the cold salmon salad on noodles with spring onion, red bell peppers, pea shoots and edamane bean - chicken gyozo historic - all tempuras are just mouth watering and all of the California wraps are simply scrummy - try the snow crab and avocado. The service is non intrusive, professional and they have quick kitchen - they don't annoy you with 'how is your lunch going" - the atmosphere is very ZEN. They have this ice cream which is a collection of sweet chestnut, green tea, sesame seed and red bean that is to die for. We absolutely highly recommend this restaurant - they do take away and delivery by motor bike. And honestly you cannot fault anything on their varied and extensive menu!

I dined in on my own on a Saturday evening.The food was served reasonably quickly and looked really nice.It tasted even better and is the best i have had recently.I shall return!

I dined here with my two boys. To be fair, this is a sushi takeaway rather than a restaurant, but they have two tables and can accommodate up to six. If dining in, you will get great service and might even be able to watch the chefs and learn a bit if technique.The offerings might be unfair to compare to nobu, but to be frank, Sushi54 offers all your favourite sushi and it is well presented and very tasty. I had miso soup and a Maki and a Nigiri selection shared with three (good value and quality), a round of prawn tempura (which was actually a little soft rather than crisp), but the salmon roe sushi was super and my favourite despite, being the most expensive dish in the house - as it often is elsewhere.My two young boys were thrilled with the grub and we will happily eat in/take away again. Price-wise, this is reasonable (£20 head including a beer and green tea) and the craftsmanship and quality of ingredients are surprisingly good.

Ive been living in SW London for years and pretty sure I've worked my way through all the sushi restaurants and this is hands down the best. Their scattered sushi is AMAZING.

I live locally and have had the takeaway food (collection). Although the website could so with a userbility update when it takes payment, the food is well explained and well priced. The real proof is in the display and the taste of your dishes. I used to 'like' sushi and now I 'love' it. I'm delighted that this place is so close and would recommend to anyone, I found myself dreaming of it... so it must be good!

I'm a pretty regular visitor to Sushi54 as it's close to my house. They have a small number of tables but I think the bulk of the business is home delivery, which I've done once and it worked very well. If you're eating in, the decor is minimalist: a light, airy room with lots of wood. The sushi menu is extensive and everything I've had in the 7 years I've been going there has been delicious. Yesterday I had a "mini bento box" which was a splendid assortment of tuna and salmon (sashimi and nigri), two different gyoza, some rice and a bowl of miso soup. All were excellent. My husband had a big bowl of soup and noodles and some sea bass tempura. It was a perfect lunch. Highly recommend!

Eaten from here a few times. Food is always fresh and tasty and comes with excellent sauces, plenty of ginger etc. you have to order a while in advance as even at 6pm it takes at least 45 mins.

Have only ever had sushi in a restaurant or from a pre-prepared refrigerated box. This is like the best of both worlds...would definitely order from here again. Everything came packed in tidy boxes and nicely organised, easy to eat out of and was all very fresh and delicious. Such variety too! We ordered 30x maki between two plus a side of fried chilli edamame, dumplings and spring rolls, this was enough to fill the two of us.

Mostly a delivery business, the restaurant is small and they don't serve in the restaurant on Friday's due to the volume of orders. That said, just order and sit at home with their wonderful sushi, so fresh and tasty, with a really good range of sushi, sashimi, maki, futo maki and more. Loved the Sushi 54 special. The prices are very reasonable and the service is fast and friendly.Very highly recommended.

I ordered the Inside Out Spicy Tuna Sushi and the Prawn Stir Fry. It was a Sunday evening and they seemed very busy. Despite the rush the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable.I ended up stopping for 15 mins on the way home to Wimbledon due to an old friend phoning. the food still tasted great!

It used to be very good, but both quality and quantity have deteriorated. The fish, especially the tuna never smells fresh. Shan't be ordering from them again.

More of a takeaway than a restaurant, but they do delivery or collection and the food is excellent. Large menu with lots of choice. It's not cheap, but it's a much healthier option to most takeaways.

We ordered Large Bento for my flatmates birthday. We ordered online and It came reasonable quickly... The sushi-rice was really tasty, the sushi itself was fresh and well presented. One of the thing that surprise me the most was the the sauce on the salad, I need to find out which sauce they dress the salad with. Also, something to mention is that the portion was reasonable too.

We recently decided to try this restaurant whilst visiting friends in London. The food was exceptional & probably one of the best, if not the best, sushi I've ever had. It was delivered on time by a very friendly courier & we will definitely order again the next time we visit our friends.One final comment - I thought the gentleman that took my order was extremely friendly & courteous - I don't understand some of the negative comments about staff attitude.

I'm a bit fussy about row food but this take away is really good. We live really close so once a week I collect our dinner and we have never been disappointed.

Despite living round the corner from this little sushi place for years, I have only just got round to trying it. Really good take out sushi - fresh, well presented and reasonably priced, they were also completely un-phased by my sesame allergy and adapted my order accordingly.And for something a little unusual... try their Mexican futo maki - salmon, jalapeno and mozarella!!To round things off, it's also nice to support one of the many independent kitchens in Putney - we really are spoilt for choice!!

this place has gone so far downhill in the last last year or so its untrue. Portions have got meaner and the attitude of the staff is poor. 2nd bad experience tonight and certainly won't be ordering from them again. There are better options for take away sushi in the area.

I love Sushi 54. Not counting Nobu and it's ilk, it's defiantly the best sushi place I've been too. The do the basics right, which is "fresh fish, cut well" and improve from there. The fish is always absolutely fantastic, and really tasty. Their goyza rock. Their signature dish (Mexican futomaki) is awesome and combines well with the spicy tuna maki. The soft shelled crab and Tobiko dishes are also favourites. Never had a bad meal, or poor service. Staff are always friendly. If you like sushi, you'll like Sushi 54.

If you are bored of the same old pizza, chinese or curry takeaway, this is a most refreshing difference.The best sushi I have eaten this side of Tokyo, fresh and very well made. Took a while to be delivered but fairly good value and of course very healthy. Highly recommended.

I don't get it. Been twice now and both times the quality of the food has been as good as you will get without going to the top end Japanese restaurants like Nobu. I have an idea but not sure whether it's correct. Here we go..... I first visited Sushi54 last year with my Wife. We wanted to eat sushi but it was a lovely hot day, so she wanted to sit outside. Sushi and outside eating is rare, in fact I though impossible. But a quick look on my phone and we found this place. We pulled up and the chap who served us was extremely miserable. You will go a long way to find someone in customer service as unsuited as this chap. The food was great and efficient, just thought he could have made us feel a bit more welcome. Even a "hello" would be a start! Anyway, maybe this style of service isn't right and is scaring people away. Both times I ate here there was only one other person in the restaurant. I noticed 4 delivery mopeds outside also. none of which were used for the hour or so we were there. Thing is, on my second visit, with a friend from work, the same chap was there again, but seemed friendlier. He was still rather sullen, but at least was making an effort this time. The food was very good, really some of the best sushi I have eaten and I have had a fair few! To conclude I will say to those thinking of eating at Sushi54 that they SHOULD, if only for the food.

I was on a long walk through the Richmond area and spied this place for a lunch stop. The hostess was both charming and efficient, and the service was superb (while I was waiting for my food she was kind enough to offer me the newspaper). The food was delicious - perfectly prepared (and salty!) edamame, miso soup loaded with delights, and mouth watering salmon and tuna. I will make a point of coming here whenever I'm in the area (and maybe even make a point of a visit from further away).

Once you've ordered it is delivered promptly with great beer or wine. Well done kitchen!Waiter and waitresses, but particularly him, oh dear. What do they think they are for? My friend and I were the last of few customers to leave at about 8.45pm on what should have been a busy night.We were ignored for the last 20 minutes but had to listen to the staff discuss themselves - fairly loudly - it was like sitting in the set of a Soap. First of all, I have to say that there are betters restaurants than this.We ordered salmon eggs (not good), sweet shrimp (good), noodle salad (excellent) and a sahimi of sea bass (tasteless).We expected more than we had.

I have been here twice and enjoyed the food thoroughly. I like sushi and this place delivers for mid-range sushi restaurants. It is well located down the quiteish Lower Richmond Road but easily within 15 minutes walk of Putney Bridge tube station.My main concern about this place is that everytime I go passed it, it is always quiet. Very quiet. Both times I have been there I have been one table out of two or three that are open. It may be that I am going at the wrong times. I heartily endorse eating here. Perhaps it is the prices which, while they are reasonable for sushi, tends to be more expensive than the pub-fair in the area.

We went to this place based purely on the high ranking on TripAdvisor. The sushi was top class and definitely worth a try if you are walking past or in the area. My only warning would be that most of their business comes from home deliveries, so the vibe in the restaurant for those that chose to eat there is not great. Saying that, i would definitely go again.

I am so happy I found this place! Great food with the basics but also some creative new stuff without the pompous side effect. The attention to detail in the presentation is also worth mentioning.The place is well decorated - simple, pure, clean - and is a pleasure to eat at. They also have a small outside area which could be nice on a sunny day. The service was fast, efficient and pleasant. The staff introduced us to some new sushi that we had never tried and we loved it.Finally, the price... Finally something with quality AND a decent price! For anything that good, you would have to go to Nobu. But come on!!!! Did you see the prices there? Only people who have lost all notion of the value of money would pay that much.I am making this my bi-weekly sushi place. Thank you Sushi54 team! i hope you open up some more soon.

Sushi is good but not great, for authentic Japanese Hare and Tortoise on Upper Richmond Road should be your choice.

V good sushi- best in putney anyways and nearby areas. Marinated salmon, tuna, egg and avocado are v good. Atmos isn't great if you eat in but I don't mind so much if it's just me and the husband! And they fo takeaway and deliver so you can eat at home instead for cheaper. Really happy I found this place- there us sp much bad or overpriced sushi in London, this is a fab find!

it was dead when i was there, absolutely dead, not a soul in site, just bare tables and a guy at the counter. Menu......there was indeed sushi, that is no lie. However, having read all the reviews of 'best sushi' 'sushi heaven' 'best this and best that' i was expecting some pretty incredible stuff, after all, the reviews of other tripadvisor recomendations had near enough been spot on. So what arrived???? i am not a michelin inspector and for all the gang at sushi 54, my opinion in all honesty means diddly swaut.........it definitly was not the freshest sushi i have ever eaten, nor did i even come close to reaching the gates of sushi heaven. To say that this restaurant is the best sushi restaurant in London, ahead of nobu, zuma, even the place in Clapham on voltaire st, is very very misleading, because it really isnt. But, hey, we live in a world where Jedward are effectively chosen to be in the top 6 six of a national singing competition so hey, what do i know?
