The best place for an Asian takeaway in Putney. The portion size is great and the staff are always friendly. Katsu curry is quite popular here.

What a great find! Stumbled across this place and it’s the perfect pre movie meal. I had the the sweet and sour chicken with rice and my partner had the spicy curry, sweet chilli chicken and rice (you can pick two toppings). Both meals were absolutely brilliant, would highly recommend the sweet chilli chicken.

This has to be the worst place I’ve ever eaten. I do not recommend anyone to go here!!!!! I had the sweet chilli chicken and I have been sick for 5 days. Gotten food posining here I have been vomitting and diarrhoea. Please stay far away from this place , the chicken is poisonous

Great quality food, at reasonable prices.

This shop sells affordable yummy takeaway food much better than Wasabi. For hot food, you can choose noodle or rice based, with one or two toppings (60p extra for two toppings). I had regular rice with sweet chilli chicken and teriyaki chicken, the rice was perfect consistency and the chicken had just right amount of juice. The portion was very generous and satisfied my meat craving, much better value for money compared to Wasabi!

I have not dined at this establishment in quite some time, which is why I chose to visit today. The meat was overly salty and lacked any discernible flavor. Despite my hunger, I felt compelled to finish the meal.

The sweet chilli chicken was really tasty and spicy. Service was quick and the cashier was very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be coming back soon to try out the other delicious menu items!

Had a lovely experience at Kokoro Putney. The gentleman serving us was very kind and helpful. Also the Curry sauce is to die for. 10/10 would scran again

I am a regular Kokoro customer yet Putney store is the worse by far… I ordered 2 large one with noodle one with rise, when I check my noodle dish… the noodle was cold and placed in the microwave to reheat… it tasted plasticky and gave me a very bad stomach…. They forgot to put the rest of my order in the bag that I had to drive and come back about 7 minutes later, my order was not packed properly that I had to ask the lady to pack it again as if she couldn’t be bothered…. Its a shame as I really do love Kokoro a food but Putney store is the one that can destroy its reputation

Pretty Yummy! Although not worth being awoken 3 times in the night due to diarrhoea and a further 4 more times to vomit! Probably would dodge this one.

Echoing what others have said. An incredible value that is tasty and fast. Chicken katsu and curry sauce is very good.

Kokoro Putney is part of a chain of eat in / takeaway restaurants. When I first visited many years ago I thought it was expensive until I placed my food on a plate and I realised what value it was. A generous portion of spicy food that fills you up. I say spicy as that is what I go for, but you have other choices though the spicy pork with rice is just that - it doesn't apologise for being spicy. Friendly staff go hand in hand with the delicious food.

My recent sushi order from Kokoro was a complete letdown. The rice was soggy and overcooked, and to make matters worse, it had a strange metallic taste. It's disheartening to see a place selling such poor-quality food to customers. Highly disappointed and won't be giving them another chance.

They are so slow, you need to wait at least 10 minutes, if you are going to order its gonna be like an hour.

For what it is, it is great. Simple and fast curry and noodle dishes with sides of sushi and dumplings. For 9 quid you can get a very large Chicken Katsu Curry. Great value for money. Its not a fancy place at all, great for a quick cheap meal.

Loved our lunch here and would highly recommend it and we shall be back as it was good value for money

I haven't ordered from here in person but have always used a delivery app. Each time the portions have been plentiful especially sweet chilli chicken and rice bowl. Love it too pieces. Just wish the edamame beans were cheaper as they feel a bit expensive. Thanks Kokoro. You're my go to

Delicious food and friendly staff

Giving Kokoro a break due inconstiency I gave them a go again after a friend seemed to have a good meal last week. Unfortunately this place is just more and more inconsistent as the months go by. The recipes of the Sweet Chill Chicken are never the same, and the off cuts of chicken used in the dish are the most disgusting, basically chicken knuckles, feathers, and all the most unedible parts of a chicken. Katsu chicken basically presented in the most unprofessional manner.

Food quality has dropped over past year and is also inconsistent. Rice is often overcooked

Stained all tablecloth, they put way too much in it was all over the place. Gave diarrhoea :(.

It really is an Asian fast food outlet. Food is good and portion sizes are actually quite large and so in a sense good value for money. There isn't a real atmosphere, just some undecorated tables and chairs to eat at if you wish to. Food is tasty and staff are friendly. Putney always has a good vibe.

Food was inedible. Was drowned in sauce, had to drain about an litre of it out to even eat it, and the chicken was dry. There was also pretty much an entire raw red onion in it. Couldn’t recommend less.

I ordered a chicken Katsu curry and asked the member serving me that for my daughter who has allergies I am after plain noodles. I was informed that they only have noodles with mixed style vegetables. Yet This was not the case at all! Upon plating out the food for my little girl it came to my surprise that in fact there was half an onion sliced and put in with these so called “vegetable Yakisoba noodles” Bearing in mind I paid nearly £8 alone just for this since it was the only thing my daughter could eat. I asked to speak to the manager who was very abrupt and rude when I asked why this is called vegetable noodles when it fact it’s just filled with sliced onions he then rudely responded onion is a vegetable! But in the picture it shows peppers and some other bits which were none to be seen. I explained that, you should just mention onion noodles since his colleague who served me mentioned to me mixed vegetables style noodle has in fact mislead me. He then was laughing and being sarcastic towards me and saying what you want me to do for you. I said the right thing to do would be to not mislead me in the first place and to refund me. He refused and said there is nothing else I can say now and he could see I was holding all the onions which I separated in the lid in one hand. After I sensed his lack of professionalism and customer care and I did not want to create anymore upset for my daughter I packed my things with my two little kids and left! I will also not be returning either. This was my local branch and I have been a loyal customer since their opening but since all they care about is taking money and not respecting customers and what is seen/chosen from their menu it’s best I save myself getting stressed and having my day ruined again!

Great food, simple affordable and filling. Great place for some quick takeout especially if you like some katsu curry with sticky rice.

I ordered a mix and match and it came with a long thick grey hair. It was inedible and when I asked for a refund, I got rudely turned away and was denied. It was very disappointing and upsetting. I would thoroughly recommend if you want unhygienic food which is disgusting from rude waiters. Never going to order from this place again and if I was you, I would stay away!

So soo good. Had this in Manchester first but the London Putney ones is just as good. Needs an east London store!

I'm eating in Kokoro Putney everytime I have a job around here,typically once or twice a week. I find the food to be very tasty . The prices are very fair and the portion just massive. I don't know why I'm still getting large Spicy Tofu with rice as I can barely finish it. The stuff are very polite. It's a must place to visit . You will be very happy with everything. P.S : I'm eating here now!

The people working there are really kind and sweet. There sushi is good. Just want to thank the manager for being extra nice with us as she served us a customized set rather than just going with what is available.

Worst chicken katsu curry ever. I've eaten this a few times from the Basingstoke branch, each time wonderful. This one here was the worst ever. What were meant to be some nice chicken strips were like leftovers meant for pigs to eat. Some of the strips looked a bit more reasonable, but the other half was just sad looking lumps of dry and chewy breading. Absolutely disgusting!

A good place to have your fast food

Spot on-lovely staff, clean and good atmosphere. Chicken katsu and rice I had-thoroughly recommend that.

Go for the chicken katsu, skip the yakisoba. Don’t make the mistake of going for their yakisoba. That was what I started with and it was downright disappointing. It was noodles with sauce plus a sliver of raw onions and carrots. I didn’t expect amazing noodles but this one fell so low on the radar, eating it made me feel cheated and angry at the same time. That said, there were redeeming factors. The chicken katsu was great. The chicken was piping hot and crispy and the sauce was decent. Service was also quick if not a little chaotic. Would go back for the chicken katsu and only that.

It was my first time here. Their sweet and sour chicken is to die for. Service was kind, however there was a confusion with my order that they sorted out quickly. I definitely will be back.

I've been going to kokoro for over a year now as I love it so much and never had any issues until today , I was served by a girl I think she was new, she wasn't listening to my order atall and asked me questions that she should have know the answer to through me ordering, i eventually got home and opened my tub of food and there was barely any rice, I'm quite upset as I paid £9 for this, the portions are usually spot on and enough to fill the tub to the top , but sadly this time my experience wasn't very good. Also the chicken teriyaki had so much pepper on it, not like it usually does, so it wasn't as enjoyable

Kokoro is another Japanese chain I've tried out today which is good. This is something new to try out I've been dining at Wasabi Sushi Ben to for 16 years and you've got a good choice of what to eat. For the hot food, you can have the dishes in a regular size or large size with a choice of Rice or Noodles to go with it. It also has the choice of various sushi dishes as well. Very nice choices and very nice food as well. I reccommend it.

I went at around 3 pm today, and ordered teriyaki chicken noodles. The chicken was very smelly, like it was clearly from yesterday or even before. It was inedible, and the taste was much worse than other kokoro branches. Don't order chicken teriyaki here, try katsu curry instead, it is more popular so it is usually fresh.

Pretty s***...sushi made for people that doesn't know what sushi is! Totally covered in pink mayo sauce with crispy onion. Very difficult to eat! Very American...

Disappointing. Didn't have either dish that we wanted. Service was slow. Chicken Teriyaki tastes nothing like the salmon Teriyaki and wasn't very good. Why the hell doesn't this company believe in knives and plates??!! Annoying! Won't be rushing back.

Nothing special but nothing to complain about either. The food is fine, fairly priced and fresh. They get a lot of delivery orders which sometimes makes the service slow, especially when there are lots of delivery drivers waiting.

Great value, good quality south east Asian fast food. Large portions quickly served by friendly staff. Not always easy to get a seat but otherwise recommended.

Soo tasty and generous portions

Food is good and decently priced if ordered on site. Uber Eats charges some 20% extra. I like the fact that you can have a takeaway with chicken/meat only for the same price as if buying the option with accompanying rice/noodles.
