Ohayo Sushi in Wandsworth

The prices may seem appealing, but the portion sizes are disappointingly small. Each serving only comes with four pieces and the sushi itself is mostly rice, very little fish. While the sushi tastes somewhat fresh, the quality is lacking. The pieces of fish are uneven, super small, and tend to fall apart. Overall, the value for money isn’t there, as the portions are tiny and the quality of the sushi doesn’t justify even the lower price point.

This place is great, particularly the deep fried stuff, soft shell crab and sweet potato, and something they call a crazy boy,lovely contrast between perfectly crisp batter and sushi rice. Katsu curry also very good

We have been regulars at Ohayo for two years, ever since moving to the area, and we order from them at least once a week! The food is AMAZING (best katsu chicken curry we've ever had, incredible dragon roll, great miso, the list goes on...). And the owners are the nicest people. We love Ohayo!!!

Fantastic little place. Great sushi for a good price. Nice selection of vegetarian sushi. Worked out about £15pp Miso soup was fantastic Texted and they held one of their two tables for us. Knowledgeable and helpful for allergies (nuts and peanuts only used in a couple of dishes indicated on menu)

Walked past it every day for a few years as I stay near by. Literally never seen one customer inside.... Not once but thought I'd give it a try anyway. 20ish pounds got me a very small tray of sushi that wouldn't fill me at all (and I'm a skinny guy). Ashame because the people working there all seemed nice and the sushi tasted nice. Nearly every restaurant near by would give you better value for money.

Having lived in Japan, we are always on the look out for good sushi and at Ohayo Sushi we have found it. Excellent food at a very competitive price and good service have made it now our go-to sushi take-out in Putney. Would highly recommend.

Thought I'd try this restaurant - usually use Sushi 54. The portion sizes are a joke. Seaweed and cucumber salad - 6 slices of cucumber and a sprinkling of seaweed for £6 and the maki rolls are the size of £2 coins. Daylight robbery compared to Sushi 54 and when I rang to complain, the manager laughed. I won't be going back and hope this review manages your expectations if you do decide to order. Sushi 54 much better value.

I love this little sushi joint! Fresh, tasty sushi. Good price too! (Their website is not that great, but don't let that put you off - the food is top notch) I ordered delivery many times now, and it's faster than any other food delivery (sushi or otherwise!) I'd rather order delivery from here than get sushi two streets down from where I live - Ohayo has much better quality and is just about as fast! The people running it are friendly and accommodating.

I am generally supportive of local, family run restaurants, but especially so when the food is this good. For our most recent meal they didn’t set a foot wrong. I won’t bore you with how much I liked it, but the nigiri, maki, tempura, everything, was wonderful. FYI, they do get busy so best to order in advance.

An excellent Japanese/oriental take out. It has minimal seating that is not available because of covid. Small, fast, very well priced and the most important aspect, really tasty and good quality sourced ingredients which you can taste in the array of options available on the menu. If you pay cash, free Miso soup. I often judge places through the quality of their sauces and broths, and here they are excellent. Everthing I have tasted to date is very good.

Changing the way you do your sushi won't the buisness go better especially after lockdown. I was really looking forward to eat my fav take away sushi but then I found out that my uramaki had been camouflaged with scraps of tuna and salmon at the edges instead all thru the sushi roll with surgical precision. Such a shame, disappointed 😞

Esta es mi segunda / tercera entrega desde aquí. Me encantó la ensalada de sashimi de lubina, atún, salmón, todo tan suave y fresco, me encantó el aderezo! También me encantó la pechuga de pollo a la parrilla encima de mis fideos udon y la base de sopa picante. Los precios son muy razonables y la entrega fue rápida, ok, sí, estaba fuera del período ocupado normal, pero incluso cuando ordené una noche, ¡la entrega nunca ha sido un problema! Totalmente recomendable!

One of my favourite local sushi places in putney, friendly staff, quick service and excellently priced sushi. Try the tempura rolls or the avocado and salmon rolls. The lunch time menu is particularly good value.

Portion was too small and quality was little bit disappointing

Been looking forward to go here for a while especially reading all the reviews. Then when we got it, was very disappointed. The quality of fish didn’t seem good and the California role was very below par. The ginger also looked old. Will try again in a few months hoping it was just an off day.

This place serves excellent Sushi and Sashimi and provides the best delivered/takeaway Japanese food in Putney. While the options to eat in are basic, the food rivals Tomoe for quality and is far better than the other local takeaway options. Deliveries are extremely quick.

We have been regulars of Ohayo Sushi for 5 years now. We used to live in Putney and now regularly drive 25 mins to pick some up. It's that good. Always so fresh, the rice is perfect in consistency, and we've never found any sushi anywhere that comes close. Also a fantastic family run and friendly place.

A few friends highly recommended this Japanese sushi takeaway for many years. I finally tried them today. The sushi was so good, the rice was perfectly made. I should have tried them long time ago. I am happy they are not far away from me and I can order more often. Really really brilliant.
