Terrible service. I approached the restaurant and wasn’t greeted by anyone so promptly sat down and had a look at a nearby menu. After a short while a waitress came over and told me “you can’t sit there, it’s reserved”. Doesn’t offer me an alternative unprovoked so I asked “where can I sit then?”. She gestures over to a much more boring area. So I sit down there again and grab a menu from the other side of the bar. Still not receiving any type of service. Eventually I ask another waitress “can I get served please?”. She said yes in a minute. Original waitress comes over and says “so are you ready to order?”. There’s no hint of hospitality in her demeanour. I ask “what’s the deal with the Happy Hour?” On the menu it states “Happy Hour, Thurs-Sun until 8pm”. She says “2-4-1 but we’re not doing that.” No apology no explanation no hospitality no service. After that I decided to give up on the whole thing and left. Very disappointing as it had dishes I wanted to try.

Love this place in Tooting market. Delicious fresh food cooked in front of you, perfect friendly service and great cocktail too (2for1 tonight). My daughter loved it, especially the dragon sushi. Highly recommend a visit!

Amazing quality sushi. We sat at the bar and watched the sushi being made which really added to the experience. It was a friend’s birthday and the manager went above and beyond to make it special. Also amazing for gluten free/ coeliac/ allergy awareness. Would very highly recommend.

I had lunch here last Sunday for the first time. The yellowtail sashimi was so fresh that I then continued straight into the yellowtail with yuzu and jalapeno. Breaking with tradition, I then went with the salmon temaki and I was happy I did so. Even thought I was already full, chef persuaded me to try soft shell crab futomaki, which was delish. By this point I was in food coma territory. Is this chef a regular? If so then I will definitely be back.

We visited Nori Sushi bar last night with my daughter and her small dog. The atmosphere is the Market on a Saturday night was excellent and you do really need to book in advance. Nori Sushi Bar takes bank card details in case of no shows which is fair enough. We had a nice table in the corner of the restaurant area and it was perfect for what we wanted. Service was smilingly friendly and efficient. The wine choices are minimal but drinkable. We ordered a wide range of food from salted Edamame Beans through a range of sushi and hot Japanese dishes. The Dragon Roll was very nice as were the chicken gyoza, chicken skewers and various hot prawn dishes. The price for three of us for the wine, food and service was very reasonable at just over £45 a head. All in all we enjoyed the food but I have had better however, it is the atmosphere that makes Nori Sushi a different experience.

Ended up here after a few drinks in the market. As a novel sushi fan I am still learning but the food was incredible and so well priced. Wine was also great in terms of choice and price. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others.

This is a really cosy place, would be lovely for a date. Popped in while travelling for work and was so well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, and the food was amazing.

Great food and quick service. Quite pricey now, so sign up to the loyalty program to get free sides. Go early before 6pm to avoid a queue

Kokoro is a decent Asian food chain. I’ve eaten at this one and others a few times over the years. They do a good katsu curry. I had a bento box which had salmon nigiri one one side and chicken katsu the other. The mix of hot and cold food was a bit odd but individually they different elements were fine. Service was fine, new guy needed some help but I won’t blame him for being new. Quite a bit of space if you want to eat in. Tables and chairs are functional and not built for comfort. Good to takeaway. Will probably go back as it’s generally convenience food for me.

The prices may seem appealing, but the portion sizes are disappointingly small. Each serving only comes with four pieces and the sushi itself is mostly rice, very little fish. While the sushi tastes somewhat fresh, the quality is lacking. The pieces of fish are uneven, super small, and tend to fall apart. Overall, the value for money isn’t there, as the portions are tiny and the quality of the sushi doesn’t justify even the lower price point.

Disappointing Sushi Takeaway I ordered a takeaway meal from this sushi restaurant, and unfortunately, it left much to be desired. The sushi rolls we ordered were particularly underwhelming. Each roll consisted of only four pieces, with minimal and almost stingy amounts of fish. It barely tasted like sushi at all, which was a major disappointment given the high expectations I had. While the rest of the order was acceptable, the overall experience felt overpriced, especially for the small portion sizes and lack of quality in the sushi itself. It gave the impression that they were scrimping on ingredients, which detracted significantly from the meal. Given the premium pricing, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Sadly, this experience didn't deliver, and I'm hesitant to order from here again.
