Choja Sushi in Wandsworth

Popped into the new location at the Wing Yip Centre on Purley Road .... and was exceptionally impressed. The owner was lovely and very friendly and the sushi was awesome. I had a 'spicy box' and could not fault the taste, presentation or serving size. Serioulsy worth a visit.

The phase above was said to me by the person who answered my call. I made the huge mistake of ordering my Bank Holiday dinner via Uber eats from Choja Sushi. I was a regular customer but this time the order was taking WAY too long, from the 45 mins promised when I ordered, 1 hour and 20 mins had passed. So I’ve check the process to cancel, when Uber eats claimed they would not give me the refund I’ve contacted the restaurant to try to sorted out with them.. BIG mistake, I was answered by an EXTREMELY rude man who basically had no intention of trying to help a customer. On top of his lack of good will, he was shouting and swearing at me, to the point I’ve started recording (I told him I was recording and he kept swearing!) I’ve never experienced such a bad service! The conclusion was: They refused to try to help me and happily kept my money. Scammers

Spent a month in Japan and eaten alot! of sushi over the years, choja is always my go to sushi in London. Run by a really nice couple, the quality is amazing and very good value for money in terms of portion size. Rice very nicely seasoned and temp, the tempura parts of the sushi are lovely and crisp and the fish is fresh. Love the crispy katsu roll, green dragon roll, and spicy salmon roll. Please don’t change a thing!

My all time favourite sushi takeaway in London. I love their Prawn Tempura Uramaki Roll, made with brown rice. All made fresh to order. I recently had a takeaway order including their Tori Karaage Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken Gyozas and Katsu Chicken with extra Chicken Breast. They gave plenty of Katsu sauce! I'd definitely recommend to anyone who's a sushi fan!

Love this place and their sushi!! Freshly made and really delicious. For a nice lunch option they also do great poke bowls too!

A favourite food outlet. Choja is my go-to place for excellent sushi if I want really great fresh ingredients, the sushi made in front of me and lovely staff. When I'm after a larger meal, I might have one of the donburi bowls - faves include teriyaki or katsu. Everything is super fresh and of a truly high quality. The sashimi you could cut with a blunt spoon! I'm working my way through the sushi menu - today's treat was Inari Pockets. Loved the edamame beans, cucumber, avocado top, rice base and wrapped in Tofu pockets - slightly sweet. A new addition to my ever expanding menu of options. A must ...

Great sushi at a reasonable price. The sushi is all made to order and really fresh - made in front of you as you wait. Not a great place to sit in and eat, but a fantastic takeout option. They also give you the choice of brown rice.

Very nice independent. Extremely clean and new. Can eat in or takeaway. Open kitchen where food is freshly prepared in front of you, so allow a few minutes for this. Good variety of menu options, mostly Japanese e.g. sushi & some hot dishes. Staff v helpful. Enjoyed my sushi, but avocado was sliced paper thin and fish portions were a bit too small. Would happily return if portion sizes were improved.

Randomly popped in here for a quick bite to eat Saturday evening and ended up ordering half the menu and upset I didn't have space to eat the other half! Awesome food and friendly staff.

Really close to my house, was keen to try it when it opened. Has really great veggie spring rolls and vegetarian don buri bowl!

Whenever I have little time to eat at work I always stop by and pick up the sushi and the Duck. It is a healthy and quick options for anyone that enjoys well-priced food.
