Sadly, we went for the sushi buffet on the last day of their offer and it felt like they just gave us all the leftover ingredients. The fish was old and grey with very little taste. And the sushi rolls were falling apart or covered in weird sauce to give it some kind of flavour. Very disappointed at the quality we received, given the pictures take from others.

We went for all you can eat sushi - everything we had was delicious and we couldn’t believe how much they brought out! The staff were really friendly too and we had a great time.

Fab spot. Friendly, relaxed yet attentive people, meticulous attention to food prep. Obviously take pride in what they do. Delicious food. Miso Aubergine best I’ve ever had I think! Can’t wait to go back and try the things we missed :-)

What a change from tooting market from 15 years ago... Either way you want to know about the food not my ranting. Managed to get a table on a friday night (win), service was friendly but slow (it was friday...) and the food came out beautifully presented. Nice spot to watch people. Downside is if you're a sushi snob (like me...) there are better sushi places. Frankly the sushi chef here is not all that authentic and it shows. But still recommend if knocking about these parts & a welcome addition to the plethora that tooting market now provides

Go here most weeks when I’m in the city. Never disappoints. They turn a few square meters of kitchen into a temple of amazing food. Extremely yummy sushi, great gyoza, and you can bring your own wine to keep costs down. Highly recommended.

my husband and I love sushi. Last Thursday we decided to try this place. Little choice on the menu and most of the dishes we had chosen were not available. We ordered the salmon and the rice that came as a side dish was served 20 minutes after finishing the main course. Everything was tasteless even though the portions were generous. I'm sorry but I will not come back.

There are lots of great places to eat in Tooting market with lovely welcoming atmospheres- this isn’t one of them. The chef has a terrible reputation for abusing his staff and on occasion his customers which means the food would have to be out of this world to make it worth it. Unfortunately it’s not. There’s a great Argentinan opposite or Tapas bar.. both delicious, welcoming and great value for money.

I couldn't wait to get home and rate this place - it is fabulous. It was so good we forgot to take photos of our food! Rather than have a main dish each we had one main, a side dish and some sushi and we asked for it to all come at once. We had spicy griddled courgette slices, tempura prawn sushi rolls and with griddled chicken rolls (nice and crunchy) along with honey glazed belly pork which comes with a small bowl of rice and a garnish of shredded lettuce and pickled veg. With one beer to share it came to about £25 and they serve lovely minted jugs of water too. The service is a little slow, today there was only one chef doing everything and not everything came at once but that was actually good because everything that was supposed to be hot was piping hot. The staff were lovely and apologised for the slightly slow service and explained what was happening. It didn't bother us - what the heck - it was Friday night! We had a leisurely chilled evening - highly recommended. One god thing is that they do sushi and teppanyaki - barbecue type dishes and griddled fish so if you are with someone that doesn't like sushi, there are plenty of other options on the menu.

£15.50 for a slither of blackened cod, and I mean a TINY slither... £8 for two even thinner slithers of pork belly.... value for money ? I don't think so this place is a bit of a rip off to be honest, maybe they don’t need the repeat business, I left hungry, don't expect they'll be around for long based on my experience food was average, service poor, do yourself a favour, save your money and go elsewhere, there are plenty of other really great places to eat in this otherwise excellent food market

Great sushi prepared in front of you. The menu is well priced, two pieces of sushi costing between 2 - 3 pounds. The eel sushi was a favourite of ours and we’d both go back for it.

Small space with traditional stools set up along the bar which overlooks the kitchen area. The sushi is made fresh in front of you, great portion sizes and the grilled food is really tasty. Recommend the blackened cod. Good service.

Really enjoyed our visit. For the money the food is amazing. Yes you do have to chase up the odd dish but that adds character to the visit. The hot food is exceptional; the cold sushi very very good.

Terrific food. Best gyoza (tofu) I've ever had. So tasty. The tofu soup-less ramen bowl was great too if a little salty. I'm definitely coming back. Best Japanese food I've had in London.

Popped into the new location at the Wing Yip Centre on Purley Road .... and was exceptionally impressed. The owner was lovely and very friendly and the sushi was awesome. I had a 'spicy box' and could not fault the taste, presentation or serving size. Serioulsy worth a visit.

The prices may seem appealing, but the portion sizes are disappointingly small. Each serving only comes with four pieces and the sushi itself is mostly rice, very little fish. While the sushi tastes somewhat fresh, the quality is lacking. The pieces of fish are uneven, super small, and tend to fall apart. Overall, the value for money isn’t there, as the portions are tiny and the quality of the sushi doesn’t justify even the lower price point.
