I had seen it a couple of times and wanted to try it out. We arrived at 1.15pm and it was empty but that soon changed. The lovely waiter showed us where to sit (it is a rather small place for about 10 people but there is open seating outside). We ordered a yakatori (succulent) to share for start, chicken sho-yu ramen and salmon terriyaki with rice. Amazing! The salmon was soft and tender, tasty sauce and the ramen was flavoursome. Not sure what some diners have said but it is well worth a visit. Sometimes it's best to try it for yourself to make judgement. And all reasonably priced.

Family of 8… Cannot fault the food… but as for the service they must have only one pan to cook the food… One main came out and then the rest 20 mins later…one side bought out to the table the main to accompany it 10 mins later… Questioned why we wouldn’t pay £30 service charge???? Very very poor service… & they were not even busy! Would not recommend off more than 2 diners! Very very disappointing… go to the Persian Restaurant next door… looks more exciting!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Woodstock Pub in Didsbury! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening. First and foremost, I must commend the outstanding service provided by Kamila and Sam. They were not only attentive and accommodating but also went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was exceptional. Their knowledge of the menu, recommendations, and friendly demeanor truly added to our enjoyment. Now, let's talk about the food! The dishes at The Woodstock Pub are nothing short of delicious. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and it's clear that the kitchen takes pride in their craft. From appetizers to dessert, every course was a delightful surprise. The quality and presentation of the food were outstanding, and I can't wait to return to try more dishes. Lastly, a special shoutout to the boss, Jimmy. His leadership shines through in the overall atmosphere and impeccable service at The Woodstock Pub. It's evident that he's created a welcoming and customer-focused establishment that stands out in the Didsbury dining scene. In summary, The Woodstock Pub is a hidden gem with top-notch service, delectable food, and a welcoming ambiance. Kamila, Sam, and Jimmy have created a winning combination that makes this place a must-visit. I can't recommend it enough!

We have been to this restaurant a few times before and the food has always been good. Went for lunch with our young children last Saturday. There was only one waiter for the entire restaurant. He took our orders (katsu curry, rice, sashimi) after 15 minutes of waiting. The sashimi and rice came after 20 minutes but the curry never came. We were very patient and waited for a whole HOUR!!! We asked the waiter and he just kept making excuses (clearly they forgot the order). No apologies at all from the waiter. We decided to leave and they had the audacity to ask for payment. W asked to speak with the manager who said he was too busy to attend to us. VERY POOR experience and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone.

We went here for an early dinner. There was now one in the restaurant at that time, but people came a little later. There was no atmosphere, no background music - even though we could hear some from the kitchen, just waiting staff miling around. I was very disappointed by the food and menu choices. It was very basic, no one bothered with the dishes presentation and the flavours could be much improved. It felt like it was just put together in the kitchen. Service was also basic. Would NOT recommend it, at least this one.

The ordering and delivery side of this were absolutely fine, but the quality of the sushi was bad... and given the name of the place has the word "sushi" in it, you might have a reasonable expectation that the sushi should be good, as well as the ramen. From my experience, the grains of rice were pretty much indistinguishable from each other, becoming pretty much a homogenous mush, and the seaweed was chewy. The size of the portions of fish seemed normal. Size-wise, the nigiri rice beds (whatever they're called) seemed too small.

When you have a small menu, you cannot afford to not have sime basic items, nor to make each dish above average. They do maybe 8 hot ramens, three cold ones, a couple of katsu curries, a few side dishes and only a couple of desserts. They had no cucumber which was offered with the gin, no slimlines, no caffeine- free coffee. My friend said her cauliflower vegan wings were nice, endemame beans with salt are an insult of a dush in any restaurant, their chilli chicken ramen with the chilli removed and extra chicken were ok and my chilli prawn ramen was, frankly, the worst ramen i have ever had. Bland lukewarm, insipid and tasteless broth, earthy spinach mass overpowering everything and two, yes only two!!!,smallish prawns. Joke of a dish. Apparently the cashew ice-cream eastside biscuit dessert was tasty. Prices are not stupid, but it really is not worth a visit. Its just not very good food.

This is part-restaurant and part-supermarket and this appears to be reflected in the way you have to order! When you arrive you find a "bar" on the left-hand side and the sushi kitchen on the right - and the two, although staffed by the same team, function independently! It's primarily designed as a take-away but you can sit and enjoy your food on the premises. But here an issue is raised! You can queue for you food beside a sake/beer fridge (Kirin: £2.40) but you can only purchase the beer to take-away. To buy a drink to eat-in you have to cross to the other side and then pay £2.90! This is more than a little odd! Anyway - that aside, the sushi and sashmi was very fresh and delicious and to be recommended!

Tantalising menu of Japanese and Korean favourites, and the food is made to order and well executed. Great for a bite before the cinema. Stylistically it is half between fast food joint and high street restaurant, and it lacks ambience, which may put people off. That’s a shame as the food offering is good.
