A no frill Japanese bento shop run by a lovely couple. They take pride in their food and it shows. So glad to have this in my neighborhood!

I used to live in North Ealing and never got around to reviewing here. This is some of the best sushi I've ever had here, I would recommend anyone passing by or who lives near to make sure you try it here! Service was always with a smile too. Thanks for giving me years of nice food when I was busy working in hospitals as a junior doctor

Small family run Japanese place, with only few tables to dine in. Nice selection of bentos and few sushi rolls. The rolls were a bit small, but great value for money. Also it has deli Japanese products, so we got sake for home. there are many different options for sake!

I just had to walk all the way during lunch for the tastiest Sushi and it was worth it! Should do so more often. Delicious Hosomaki Salmon, Uramaki Ebi-fry and Crabstick Avocado. What a tempting selection! Happy that it is an independent business run by a lovely family which has given West Acton a great destination stop.

I have such a great experience every time I shop at Yo Yo Kitchen - the quality of food is superb, the customer service impeccable. I have been eating here for more than 10 years and whenever I’m in town, even if just for a couple of hours, I make sure I pop in to buy their delicious sushi.

I was quite looking forward to try this place since the prices are relatively low, but I will never come back. The amount of fish in the sushi is simply laughable, there's almost nothing and it's mostly rice. At £5.5 for 8 I would rather go anywhere else. The rest of the items is simply not good, I had karrage chicken which was not fresh and was not at all enjoyable to eat, and the yakitori were not as good as some frozen ones. Lastly the girl at the counter overcharged me and forgot to put one item in the bag...

This hidden gem is the best Sushi in London. An absolute must. Owner provides outstanding service. Authentic fresh Japanese food off the beaten track.

When around Ealing, we always make it a point to visit this place for a quick snack or lunch. On the first time we came here, we ordered lunch deals and they had sauces on the side like hot sauce and soy sauce. After few come backs to this place, it disappeared 🤣 Nevermind the sauce, the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The sushi and maki rolls are always fresh. Try their bento and curry, they are good too!

Used to be great, unfortunately now it has gone slightly downhill. The portions are very small and I have to buy several things in order to feel slightly less hungry than before. The policy that they can't allow students in uniform to eat in except take away is very strange; since I was wearing uniform on my way home after school they still did not allow me to eat in. The food is still really nice, although it is quite pricey. 6 small cucumber sushi rolls for £2.10. Update 2020: Removed a star since in the past year the prices of small foods have almost doubled. Becoming ridiculously expensive for tiny portions. Not coming here for food again. Update 2021: The price is still really expensive - 3.20 for 8 tiny salmon rolls. Update 2023: I'm not sure if they're under new management but jesus christ - the attitude of their staff is so abysmal and it really makes me regret spending so much and wanting to contribute to what I thought was a remarkable local business. If you maintain a terrible attitude towards your customers, then surely you cannot expect your business to survive. I have lost all hope in Yoyo Kitchen - a restaurant I grew up with, and always enjoyed spending time in. Now I can't even bear the thought of even spending a penny because that means contributing to a business that evidently has no respect for its customers. Shameful!

We used to visit this place quite often but recently the place has gradually deteriorated badly. The pictures in their ad are not as they are in reality. They have stopped preparing the food on their premises and all they have on show is some boring sushi with absolutely no selection whatsoever. The staff is also as boring as their food. We had a chicken dish with rice, the chicken was so old and tough we could not it, the other beef dish with rice was also as bad. They no longer prepare the food on the premises and everything is prepared at a factory and brought over and heated in a microwave. As soon as we sat down to eat, they began sweeping around our feet and putting the chairs on the tables. When we asked if they were closing they said, no, we are just cleaning up. The staff is as boring and not professional or friendly. Just like their food. We made a promise not to visit this place again as we don't feel it's very hygienic and the quality is very very bad.

Dropped by this cute small sushi place by chance but probably the freshest sushi I had in a while!! Affordable too, had the lunch deal. Very friendly and welcoming environment. I will be dropping by if I am near it next time.

Food is great, however I am not sure about your new bento packaging The paper box is delightful and eco friendly, however it is not rice sticky friendly Scraping the rice on the side resulting to eat paper along with it, and I am not sure is this what I like. I prefer your old plastic bowl, at least for rice you should do them and others like fried stuff should be fine on paper

If you want sashimi go here. You choose what you want from a fresh fish counter , they prepare it, cut it, pack it and you take it away. What more could you ask for. Really fresh fish and choice.

For London it's good quality sushi and sashimi and the fried food is delicious (although portions are a little small). I love that they do deals and you can mix and match some items. Also have many Japanese foodstuff items like snacks, drinks, and cooking ingredients which is convenient. The staff are mostly Japanese too which does give an air of authenticity. I would ignore the people complaining about the price of the fish as they are probably people who don't regularly eat fresh sushi/sashimi and don't understand why it is expensive lol.

Not everyone made the rice right, but they did. Very good sushi roll with a good price.

I don't think they have matcha Swiss roll with red bean paste now though they don't taste the best, lack of green tea flavor, still better than nothing. Sushi here is not recommended, not fresh and over priced. Never want to upset my stomach so best to avoid sashimi here as well.

Fresh food, great variety, reasonably priced. And staff is always friendly and helpful. It's a local gem.

Some of the best sushi I've ever had in my life, and competitively priced too. The bento boxes are not my speed, but I've been told they're very good value. I would recommend the Yoyo Eho Maki roll, or the crab stick inside out roll, but you cannot go wrong.

Das Yoyo Kitchen ist ein höchst einfaches Restaurant, das man nicht besucht, um sich dort wohl zu fühlen. Aber die Küche ist hervorragend. Selten haben wir so gute Sushi gegessen. Der Fisch ist hyperfrisch und sehr geschmacksintensiv. Für diese Qualität sind die Preise günstig. Die Auswahl spricht nicht nur die zahlreichen, in der Umgebung wohnenden Japaner an, sondern trifft auch den Geschmack der Europäer. Hierher lohnt sich auch eine weitere Reise. Sehr freundliche und hübsche Damen im Service, während die Männer im Hintergrund gekonnt das Messer nutzen.

If you fancy some sushi without breaking the bank, Yo-Yo's is a perfect choice. I discovered this place a month ago and have already been back for more 3/4 times. Yo-Yo's will be a regular for me from now on.

Do pop in here for snacks, various bento boxes, nice sushis, nibbles and coffee very often. Open 7 days is very good. The table inside and outside are very good idea. No need to wait long here and get served promptly. Please do pop in. Recommended

ウエストアクトン駅前で持ち帰りでも店内でも手軽にさっと食べられる美味しい日本食。唐揚げなどの弁当にどんぶり系、巻き寿司、 太巻きやおかずだけでも購入できるので種類が豊富で選択肢もたくさんある。今回の滞在で何度も行った。とても美味しい。

I often come here alone when I visit a friend close by. It’s really a Japanese deli but u can also eat in the place and heat up the ready made tonkatsu, tempura, yakatori etc or the prepared nigiri , sashimi, rolls of sushi. All very good quality especially for the price. You can easily eat for £10 or less. They also serve hot miso soup and you can buy all the things u need to make Japanese food.. wasabi, rice vinegar, red pepper and great beers like Kirin or various sake’s. V nice food especially if u are in a hurry or want something delicious to take home. Lovely service too!

I go to Yo Yo's once a fortnight, to be greeted by the very friendly, upbeat chef. I am vegan and I have a choice of 5 dishes, freshly prepared. I sometimes take a dish home too, for my tea and to share with friends. They have outdoor seating too, lovely on a sunny day.

Stopped for quick lunch. It was worth it. Reasonable price and tasty food. If you are in the area, stop by to explore. They have some snacks too.

I get lunch from here reasonably regularly. Their Bento boxes and Dons are all delicious and very reasonably priced. It's nice to take away or eat in and the staff are always lovely.

The owner and head chef is of eminent cookery provenance and the food is always superfresh varied and authentic. Their bento boxes are delicious and their inari pockets and avoid rolls another family favourite...que have take out from. Here about once a fortnight highly recommend ...even do the itarashai call on arrival and departure enjoy

Great little Japanese take away with some seating. Sushi made fresh on location. Frequented by the Japanese population in this area and those who attend the local Japanese school. Don't forget to look up at the framed signed cleavers by Hollywood stars - as the owner used to be a chef in LA.

We tried this Japanese restaurant and it is average. We thought it is a proper restaurant but it is not. Their food is in take away boxes. If you want to eat them at the restaurant, you have to microwave them. After microwaving the food became soggy. The taste is fine but my tempura was no longer delactable. My daugther said the sushi rolls are okay. maybe because you do not need to heat them. So I think as long as you do not need to heat the food it is fine. The prices are very very reasonable.

Went based on other reviews and very glad we did. A great find! Decent selection (but no nigiri) That said food was excellent, service was good and when we went plenty of space to sit down. Sushi was great and the warm food which you have to heat yourself in the microwaves came out well. Washed down with beer which you have to drink outside due to licensing. I will return.

Came here with an old friend and was not disappointed! We walked around her new neighborhood and found this little deli place nearby.We weren't disappointed!The sushi was amazing and was quite big,it tasted very authentic. The Donburi also tasted quite great. It's a shame there wasn't a lot to choose from, but from what I've seen so far it's really good! Definitely coming back :)

This is a family business run by Yoichi with his wife Tanya. Yoichi seems an amazing chef with that eye for detail acquired from working at Nobu and running restaurants. There seems a friendly rivalry with the other Japanese shop in the parade opposite. However Yo Yo Kitchen is definitely the new kid on the block and a worthy addition to this corner of little Japan and the Japanese community. The food is authentic,mouth watering, filling and freshly made before one's eyes. It is a destination place for anybody on the central line alighting at West Acton and even farther away, The staff are a dream, attentive, helpful and patient. The premises are very compact and one only wishes they were larger. Given that Yoichi was the main fish buyer for the Japanese community at Billingsgate, one can only imagine what new delights he could conjure up giving more space

Located close enough to the Japanese school in London, and in sight of the institutional Japanese fishmonger in London (Atari-ya), this place caters for more Japanese people, serving, besides the odd school supplies, take-away and eat-onsite food. There are a few sitting places, indoors and outdoors, but the bulk of sales seems to be take-away.To avoid crowd, avoid Saturday lunchtime when the school closes, unless you love queuing.The food (sushi, sashimi, and the typical Japanese daily fare, with few or no noodles, though), as authentic as can be, is good enough, although the rice is often on the hard side, for some reason. Price tags are not always light ones, too.The staff is made up of Japanese, some Japanese-speaking student-looking people, and the odd non-Japanese-speaking Korean, is, even under stress at busy times, quite friendly and outgoing.To reassure the novice of Japanese food: the place offers a view on the kitchen, as well as a proudly displayed top mark on hygiene rating, and the room shows a simple and non-flashy setting.Although non-lovers of Japanese food do not have much to do there, this is, all in all, a place to recommend to most others.

I didn't know about this little gem of a place for over a year and am so pleased I have found it! You can eat in, but it's not table service - you choose what you would like from the takeaway counter (sushi already made) and stack it up. We had a heap of sushi which came to £22 for two of us - amazing! Friendly staff, and japanese supermarket area in there that you can buy various ingredients. Love love love!

The sushi is fresh and very tasty. Unfortunately I ate it before I could take pictures. Great variety:makis, rolls, gyoza, bento and desserts. The place is quite authentic with lovely staff and great selection of sushi.

So, I have been raving about this place to everyone. It had been a long day, I hadn't even had lunch, I was hungry, I was looking forward to Yo Yo kitchen. However, as I approached the restaurant disappointment had struck me where it hurts. Yo Yo kitchen was closed. At 4.45pm. When closing time was scheduled for 8pm. I was gutted, I was hurt, I was confused. Why? Why close early? Why lie to your customers? These are the questions that will haunt me. Yo Yo kitchen you have let me down.

There aren't masses of lunch options around Acton and I was lucky to be shown this by a colleague. It's not a restaurant as such, but a busy little delicatessen in a parade of shops, with tables inside. It was crowded when we visited, but the counter was packed with choice. There are salads for an easy takeaway lunch, Chicken Katsu and so on, but nothing vegetarian (it loses a point for this). I was limited to the individual sushi dishes, so I stuck with those and a pre packed Chocolate DoryakiOn getting back to the office, I realised the sushi was the best I've ever had. It was so light and fresh and fluffy and it makes everything from the likes of Yo and Itsu a cold, hard, disappointment. I loved it and I loved the doriyaki, which was stuffed with creamy chocolate mousse. Prices were cheap, especially for London at around £2.50 a dish.

Went there for lunch once again the other day. Brilliant design. Brilliant atmosphere. Brilliant food. For the last 4 years of visiting this place, the staff never cease to impress me, with their service, their work ethic, and most importantly, their food. From the perspective of a regular customer, they serve what could be the most exquisite sushi in town. Their chicken katsu donburi is also a must have. However, everything on offer is as good as it gets. This restaurant is a restaurant not to be neglected.

Come here often because, in my opinion, it's one of the best sushi places in London. The food is always fresh and there's a nice variety available. The staff are friendly as well. Sushi platters are great value but you have to ring ahead to order. Right next to West Acton station too.

I've yet to experience sushi this fresh and tasty in London. Not only does it taste great it's light on the pocket too. For around £5 you can easily nip that lunch time hunger in the proverbial. Don't be fooled by the size of these raw gems, two boxes of sushi will hit that hunger spot.Being run by Iguchi San, a third generation chef, you are in for a true Japanese tasting. He's been serving the Japanese community in West Acton for some time now and his business always seems to be doing well.This has been a great lunch time culinary fix of our for years and we have yet to be disappointed. How am I only the third person to review this place I just don't know! This will always be favourite of mine.

Yo Yo Kitchen is a small place next to West Acton underground station. The service is great, place is clean and food is very good.A negative point is that it is a bit overpriced for the size of the portion, so for me who loves Japanese food is not worth it.
