We enjoyed our first meal at Momo. We had 2 Momo bento and a Sashimi bento. Food was tasty.

Fantastic food at this neighbourhood restaurant. I had delicate fried bean curd followed by super tasty vegetable tempura. The main was rich and flavoursome grilled eel with Japanese steamed rice. Fab place.

A decent Japanese restaurant. There are mainly Asians. It seems like there isn't enough staff.

Read to the end 👇 This is a place you would never happen to walk by and decide to go in Because Firstly, it’s not on the way to anywhere and secondly, the outside does not sufficiently reflect the quality of the food nor the friendly service. Thirdly, due to the low level lighting it often looks shut (even when open). We have made this our go-to Japanese whenever we are anywhere near this side of London. It’s right by Hanger Lane underground tube station on Central line. They have a changing menu of hot and cold chef’s specials. Without any exception, any dish we have ordered here has been delicious, balanced flavours, beautifully presented and authentic Japanese, not a westernised version of it. Also lots of variety on drinks menu. Finally, prices are SO reasonable. Usually Japanese is v expensive in London but here it’s affordable and excellent. Could not recommend more!

It’s a really nice restaurant with authentic Japanese food. Definitely love the Momo bento which has a combination of sashimi and chicken. The sashimi is really fresh and I love the crispy chicken. Have been here many times and will definitely recommend going.

Very good food and courties staff

Amazing! A friend took me here and I absolutely loved how great everything tasted and at a reasonable price. I also left a bag there which they held for me and I went back to get it a few days later, I couldn't resist but have another bowl of udon noodles!

So glad we popped into Momo for some lovely hot heart warming dishes. We need the evening on a high after a disastrous day with the train strikes that stopped us returning home to North Devon.

It's a really nice place for authentic Japanese cuisine. Has a very relaxing atmosphere, and both times I've come, the food has been great.

Now ina brand new location. Continues to serve excellent Japanese food with regular changes of daily specials. Don't be put off by the location. The restaurant is calm and modern with very helpful waiting staff.

Such an amazing experience. There’s so much choice for food and it was fantastic. The service is also very good. And the atmosphere it’s just spectacular. I would recommend this place if you want to have a very calm and relaxing dinner.

Couldn't rate this more highly - the food was sensational. Wife and friends are Japanese, so they were in the know, and all of her work colleagues recommended this place. Unassuming, bit of a rough part of town, and then you get into the restaurant and you're in a different world. Had lunch for 8 and almost went for round 2. Highly recommended.

Easily the best Japanese food I've had in the UK. Having lived in Japan and half my family from Japan I have had the odd Japanese meal here and there - this would be among the better Japanese restaurants IN Japan, let alone outside of Japan. Phenomenally good.

Literally amazing. The food here is incredible, and for the price it is, just wow. It’s so relaxing and peaceful inside and whether you have never had Japanese food before, or have it every week, it will blow you away. If you read this review take it as your calling to try this place once, you won’t regret it!

By the look of this restaurant, you would never imagine it serves very refined and high-quality food. This is by far the closest I've come to experiencing a Japanese restaurant outside of Japan at a reasonable price. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. The service was delightful, and the atmosphere was very friendly. It's a great surprise in an area where you wouldn't expect it. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful Japanese food Value for money

6 of us booked in for evening meal. Chose MOMO for its location. Wow !!!! Incredible food. Absolutely bang on. All 6 of us really enjoyed. Decor seemed a little odd, but didn’t take away from the food/service. Highly recommended

Agradable, anoche fui a cenar a este restaurant porque quedaba cerca del hotel donde me hospedo y registraba buenas criticas, si bien mis expectativas eran distintas considero es un lugar con potencial. Recomendable, la señora que nos atendio no habla español pero a diferencia de varios otros lugares visitados hace el intento y tiene el encanto de tratar de comunicarse, su servicio es muy bueno. Los precios a nivel de la carta se ven un poco altos, pero no es tan así. Tienen varios menú con entrada fría más una caliente, plato de fondo más un pocillo con caldo y postre (con dos alternativas por cada ítem) que parecen poco pero están muy bien en cantidad, con buena preparación y excelente sabor. Aceptable carta de vino pero no tienen cocteles.

Easily the best Japanese food and Sushi I have ever had

Don’t miss this restaurant! It is so clean and quite. All the food are well-presented, authentic, and not from Frozen. I highly recommend trying their special menu, like shedded yam potato. A high quality but nice price Japanese restaurant. I wish to come back soon.

What a really lovely little restaurant. My son and I had dinner here on Bank Holiday Monday, we each had a meal from the set menu list and both meals were terrific, the food really was outstanding. The lady who attended to use was a really nice, friendly person too. I live in the Highlands of Scotland and I am already planning a trip to bring my wife for supper, yes the experience really is that good!

Authentic, tasty and well rounded Japanese food in a laid back surrounding. I have no qualms with the food, I’ll be back here to consume a lot more! What let’s this place down to not achieve a 5 star rating for me is that the service is very slow - massive wait times between the starter and the main, and having to call the wait staff over if you need anything. But the food itself is worth coming for alone, despite these issues. The sushi, unlike other restaurants of this kind, keeps it simple. No fancy ingredients that aren’t authentic to the real deal, just plain, to the point food that hits the spot.

Went here during lunchtime on a weekday. The atmosphere was clean and nice. The service was so slow despite the restaurant being empty. The food took ages and when it came there were parts missing - eg rice. Also we didn’t have cutlery for ages despite food being served on the table. The pork Katsu was really dry. Portion sizes were value for the price. The food presentation was nice but I definitely wouldn’t come back here ever for reasons above. Although they apologized for the poor service and offered a free rice (?) I was so disappointed as saw the great reviews and something local.

I'm super lucky that this is my local Japanese restaurant. Food is always fresh n beautifully presented.

Ordered a few times. It's a hit or miss. It should be a hit every time considering the steep prices. Thy have really good salmon sashimi but the miso soup could be improved on.

Ate for lunch. The quality of food was excellent, all tasted delicious and authentic. Lunch bento set menus was simple to choose from & just perfect choice for an all in one meal, no need to worry about all the options. Well worth the price

I spotted this restaurant when I was at the post office a few shops away. I decided to give it a try and what a pleasant surprise! I ordered the daily special which was 18 pound. This consisted of the following: - a beef stew with carrot, mushrooms and another root vegetable - rice - salmon sushi with wassabi - miso soup - fruit platter All the food was excellent and in my view, good value for the price. It arrived quickly. The service was excellent, friendly and genuine. The restaurant is very clean. I have been to Japan before and I was impressed with the importance the culture places on QUALITY. MOMO is HIGH QUALITY. I will be back!

An amazing Japanese restaurant in the area, they took pride in the quality of food they serve, and it shows! Service was great and fast, I would rank this on par with some other overpriced Japanese restaurants in the Mayfair area. I'll be coming back, 100%. Keep up the good work!

Real Japanese style, taste excellent, good service

落ち着いた居酒屋の雰囲気で、食事だけする人も多く見受けられます。鍋焼きうどん15ポンド、美味しかったです。お刺し身やとんかつなどのフライも美味でした。

Had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. Was greeted by a kind waiter called Tharshaa. She recommended a couple dishes and offered a great service.

Food was good, was very quiet and comfortable. Only a 4 as the food for one of our party of 4 took far longer than the rest for no obvious reason.

The lady who attend me was extremely kind, the food absolutely beautiful, amazing, delicious. The restaurant is very clean, very peaceful and reserved environment. Overall 10 out of 10. There are good and exceptional Japanese restaurants. This is the latter and a reminder of how good Japanese food can be when it is run by Japanese people. Great food and service!

Very friendly staff and great food. A very enjoyable mid week meal with my family having very tasty sushi, gyoza and chicken yakitori.

Great ingredients and gratifyingly restrained - no fat zigzags of mayonnaise here. Everything was good, but highlights include the spider crab maki & the fried aubergine. Sashimi was knock-out great.

So delighted that Momo has come to Wood Green and even more delighted that people like Geri serve customers the way she does❤️❤️❤️

Good was okay, not too bad but nothing out of this world. Slightly overpriced for the quantity. And we were literally the only customers in the restaurant so that should be the reason for the average rating.

Highly recommended. I saw many Japanese ex-pads as well. The menu is authentic. Of course not all are exactly same as Japan. But appreciated what they have. Reasonable price compare to the central London ones.

Set lunch was really nice and must try that potato salad.

This was a real treat for our family of four and we were not disappointed. The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is very beautiful and special. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful too…and even gave us some of the chef’s freshly made red bean jelly to sample! We will definitely be back! please try out this wonderful restaurant. They have moved to this new location. Same high quality Japanese foods as before, but no more garden space. Find a parking space is bit difficult.

Nice place enjoying Japanese food, but prices are quite expensive. We visited on Saturday. There was only 2 staffs and it took some time for your food.

This place is special. The chef has skills. Great menu, great drinks, extremely clean, perfect service. If you know Japanese food, you will be surprised this little hidden gem sits where it does in Ealing. Its always so quiet, they deserve recognition, would thrive in central town. I went with a special friend for a special occasion and it didn't disappoint! The food is oh, so good. Without a doubt one of the best miso soup we have ever had. The prawn tempura superb and we both had the beef teriyaki dinner. Delicious! The place is just so relaxing and calming, it had a very soothing vibe, and staff are great. All in all a wonderful evening which will certainly be one of many!

Excellent had the tempura dinner, definitely recommend bare in mind though there’s a service charge was £4 on £32 meal charge.

Had a wonderful take away. We even received a delicious complementary portion of gyoza as our order wasn't ready when we arrived. Highly recommend this reasonably price restaurant.

A good place to enjoy Japanese cuisine! It's not sophisticated (I like it this way) and there's are several choices from the menu, some of which I haven't seen so far in London (such as "yamaimo"). The only thing I didn't like was the atmosphere. They moved here recently and the ambient is quite modern. I might come again!

This restaurant has moved from hotel 55 to Ashbourne parade W5. We missed it most of all through the lockdown and are over the moon they have re-opened. As the last reviewer says, the food is as good as ever. It is simply the best restaurant Ealing.

Well they have moved from Hotel 55 to new premises closer to Hanger Lane and they have a new website (details have been submitted to trip advisor so should show soon) but I am delighted to say our favourite Japanese restaurant is back. Shared a meal there last night. The quality of the food is as outstandingly high as ever, and having moved they are now in a newly fitted, stylish and relaxing venue. No nasu dengaku (supply issues) so between us we had yakitori (which transported us straight back to Dotonbori), vegetable tempura, salted grilled mackerel and teriyaki steak, and the inevitable miso soup, rice and edemame. We are fans of Japanese cuisine and in our opinion this is the tastiest and most authentic Japanese Restaurant in West London.

Love this place, my favourite Japanese food in London ♥️ feels like authentic Japanese food, and even though the portions are not huge, every bite feels worth it. Will go back whenever I can! Not too crowded at all, and lovely with sun as there is a garden.

We can drink Japanese highball (whisk with soda) here....

Very nice hotel and the people are very kind

We went for lunch on a Saturday. it was very quiet, and the staff gave us plenty of attention. They only had set meals, but changed one of them replacing the meat with salmon. It was a good meal, and will surely go back in the future.

Loved it . Fabulous food and excellent Sake . The waitress asked us to taste their wheat Sake , which turned out to be excellent .. Great and cozy ambience .

We now use hotel 55 as our value hotel of choice when visiting London - because of the restaurant. Great food, great service at a very reasonable price.

Отель небольшой. У нас была комната 9*9. Не понравилось, то, что нас заселили в грязную комнату (волосы на постельном белье, грязь в ванной). Было холодно и хотелось разогреть комнату, но кондиционер еле дышал, мне кажется от слоя пыли. Из плюсов, нас переселили через 2 дня в комнату чище и больше, но там были перебои с горячей водой. Метро рядом с отелем,2 минуты.

The food is absolutely delicious, we had one of the noodle soups, tempura prawns and teriyaki steak between two of us. The food was extremely tasty and flavoursome and served hot; the only negative is the steep pricing, given the amount you got received in your dish.

Over priced plus when we went the there was no hot water and our room was horrible it was above the doors so every time they opened we'd hear it. The sink was blocked too stains all over the room floor.

It never disappoints. Real Japanese food.
