Amazing quality food. Best Japanese in Ealing or nearby neighbourhoods

As a Jaoanese, I was bit sceptical at first about the quality when I saw the menu and price. But it turns out the quality was very good and authentic Japanese. The service people were so nice. Pite but friendly. Value for money was sooooo great we ended up eating sooooo much!

Dinner with a couple of friends we ordered sashimi, sushi , Bento box, pork rice bowl , eel donburi and a sushi roll. All tasted great. Did want fatty tuna but they were out unfortunately. Service was prompt food did take a little while but it was a busy time. If going for dessert do recommend the matcha cheesecake order ahead as it goes quickly, not a huge fan of the yuzu one. Would come again to try out some other dishes like the ramen. Good for a date or group of friends

It was our first time here and we were very excited as we always wanted to visit this restaurant. We went on Friday lunch time without reservation and we were immediately seated. Restaurant was pleasantly busy but not crowded. Service was quick and clear despite an incredible (maybe too incredible) number of menus on the table. We got 2 launch sets and the was an absolutely surprise of flavours, starting from the miso soup. Dessert didn’t offer the same variety and there were a bit heavy for our tastes. Pleasant the background music even though repetitive after a while and perhaps more South of France than Japanese inspired. Unfortunately the waiter forgot to bring us the tap water and it took us a while to be noticed when we were wanted to ask for the bill. Despite all little details the food experience was a success and we’ll go back to try the other dishes.

Authentic Japanese restaurant Ealing Common. Nicely designed restaurant in a Japanese style, with japanese staff and nice food for a very decent price. The sashimi sushi bento for £16.5. I would go again.

Delicious and fairly priced, best curry stock ramen I've ever had. The miso is also amazing, everything 10/10 to be honest nothing ive tried that I dont like yet. Will definitely be a regular spot for me :)

I am inclined to give this place 3 stars but as my friends food was fantastic I shifted this to 4. Service was fast and perfect at the beginning but towards the end of our visit it was slow and we had to wait for our reordered dishes longer than we expected. My bento box with chicken teriyaki was below average. Salad was not fresh and pickles looked like they have been through a rough day… overall a pleasant evening with friends but I wish I had ordered something else

This Japanese place is great! The menu is extensive and there are quite a number of vegan options. I had the vegetable tempura udon and it was amazing. The food came out quickly and it was really fresh. I highly recommend.

It's my second day in the UK, and there are some Japanese staff, so I don't mind speaking in Japanese, so it's a friendly atmosphere. The food can't be compared to Japan, but I can say it's good enough for the British taste. I will go again because there are other things I want to try ✨

The food is very subpar which is surprising given it's ran by a full Japanese staff. We had cooked salmon sushi which were almost like eating plastic because of how chewy they were. The volcano roll was decent at first but quickly nauseating, and the fatty salmon sashimi was also chewy... It was fresh but simply not good. For desert I ordered a "mille-crêpe" but it's actually not made with layered crêpes and instead just thin cake sponge. Very disappointing. The service is also not great, they all feel new, speak English badly and made a mistake, but at least the kitchen is fast. Even the "sushi fast food" places are better in my opinion. Update: My girlfriend forced me to go again, it's still bad. Most things are extremely chewy still or have a bad and weird taste. It baffles me that they have business.

We were staying one week in Ealing and have found this restaurant; we tried and it was very good. Great sushi and sashimi many alternatives on the menu; there were also other dishes but we preferred the later ones and we were very happy with our selection. The staff was supportive and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

Great Japanese restaurant, some amazing dishes such as the miso aubergine. Sashimi is fresh and has amazing flavor. fish dishes are cooked well and atmosphere is friendly

The food and price was good like you could add a drink for 99p and the portions were big like the spicy set had 18 peices of sushi for 9pounds. The service was lacking and tool along time to deliver the food and bill.they also messed up the drinks.

Loved the food, the fish was very fresh and the desserts were gorgeous. I highly recommend the Volcano sushi roll, it was delicious! The decoration and atmosphere inside the restaurant was amazing too, the tables were spaced out in a way that felt very private albeit we weren’t sat in a booth.

The receptionist was one of the most unpleasant and rude person as I was 10 minutes late. She kept on reminding ( in fact bitching or bickering about me not call ahead so she knows I would be still coming) I was rather ticked off at her attitude which I think she should not be in a position of a receptionist! Unless they wanted their clients to go elsewhere. The GM was similarly unhelpful. Unless you wanted an unwelcoming gesture never go there. I went there a lot before but I wouldn’t go there again! The owner should know and change the staff! Found out the owners have changed from February 2024 and the deterioration probably stems from the change of management and ownership. Service change s dramatically this summer.

They have a new lunchtime menu that offers more options. The daily special meal deal has gone up to £7.50. Tempura bento set (Wednesdays) is possibly the cheapest in town. £8.90 on the other weekdays is still value for money. The tempura we had was as good as those we had in Japan. I tried the Eel Donburi (£9.90) which was really good. It came with free miso soup as usual. I had a pineapple juice for 99p extra. The Dragon set and Spicy set (£9.90) were excellent as well. We ended up having 5 bowls of Miso soup. 😀 We skipped dinner as we were so full up.

We arrived here quite late, probably under an hour before closing. I understand that this is not the most polite thing to do, however, the staff were unnecessarily rushing us and I felt like they were quite rude. My ramen, however, was enjoyable and my partner’s order was also quite good. I intend to return one day to try the sushi I’ve heard good things about, but I’m not happy about paying service charge for rude and rushed service. The restaurant itself it’s wonderful though and the menu seems very interesting.

Convenient to have an early dinner with family and friends after making an online reservation. Tasty ramen and bento at a reasonable price. Seafood tempura is great value. We will surely go to the restaurant again.

Everything was good and sushi was fresh (although the octopus and surf clam were pretty chewy). The bento box is good value and tasty, mackerel was tender and the pumpkin croquettes were also nice, although the salad could be better. I like their idea of stocking dessert from Sakurado (a Japanese patisserie shop in central London), but the pistachio and matcha crepe cakes were not that good and definitely overpriced (which again is not the shop’s fault but I would source from somewhere cheaper or better)

Mixed bag, the place looked nice, 1 starter was very good, 1 not so good, ramen was OK but wouldn't return specifically for ramen. The service was very slow, especially when there's 12.5% service charge, wasn't offered a dessert menu and had to wait 10 minutes before being able to ask for the bill.

Good food with reasonable price

Usually we order take away but visited the restaurant this time and it tasted even better! The atmosphere is nice and bright, there are a lot of tables but still feels spacious and suitable for big groups. The sushi selection is broad and had lots of choices, my fave was the Dragon roll, it was well proportioned and not humungous like some places make it. The soft shell crab roll was maybe slightly smaller than anticipated but tasty nonetheless. Great presentation on all the dishes. We also ordered the tempura bento box which even by itself would be more than enough for one person, the fry of the tempura was good, crunchy without being greasy. The side salad with the citrusy dressing helped to freshen the palate. The pork fried rice was also generous with decent chunks of pork and well seasoned rice. Desserts were a selection of ice cream and ice cream mochi but don't miss out of the dessert fridge, they had all flavours of mille crepe, a super cute choux bear and tiramisu's. Definitely save space for these!

Called to order at 22:18. The caller looked back and asked the kitchen if they are closed. Advertised closing at 22:30. So why stop taking orders before your advertised time. Lazy ! I have ordered before at this time and it was accepted.

Raw fish is great all across the menu. Some great rolls and aubergine is very nice. Cod nice. Some cook stuff is not always on point but would recommend 100% (cook salmon over cooked, beef a bit chewy…)

We always visit TaKe Sushi when we're craving Japanese... Food is delicious, lots of options on the menu and so far never got disappointed. The staff is always welcoming. Food is served really fast. I would recommend to book the table as it is busy most evenings. The place is really nice and in a good location, only that tables are quite close to each other so you cant have much privacy, but overall i would recommend this place.

Make sure you make a reservation before coming. It is always fully booked if you want to sit indoor. The hamachi ikura is the best I have ever had in a long time! Highly recommend!

We always come here EVERY week (if we can) and it’s always spot on. Very good sushi. Amazing staff and amazing service. Calm atmosphere. Definitely worth coming.

The atmosphere and service is good, the food came out very quick (before ur drinks, immediately after we ordered so certain dishes must be prepared). The tonkusu ramen broth wasn't very authentic though and lacked flavour. The udon with tempura vegetables was nice. The best was the dragon rolls and their selection of deserts.

Chefs Sashimi selection - small squares of fish. I don’t believe these selections are a good value at all. Ta Ke Roll - breadcrumbs unnecessary - whole thing was too difficult to eat. It was like a hard loaf. Service - server could have cared less about me and my experience. Had to ask for check more than 10 min after my table was cleared of everything including my drink. Wasn’t busy enough to warrant this. She was just not paying attention. Disappointing 47 quid meal for one…..

Great Japanese restaurant close to Ealing common tube & hotel where we stayed. Generous portions & attentive staff. Had the ramen which was lovely...I'm not sure of the 12.5 % service charge...certainly worth a tip but not everyone can afford this xtra charge which is becoming increasingly common.

All the food I had at Ta Ke was amazing. Had sashimi, sushi and a couple of bentos and it was all delicious. Not a single fault. Cost me £70 including drinks for the fattest munch and it was better than most places I've been to.

I can't believe I haven't left a review here seeing as I visit at least once a month! However let me change that now Ta Ke is probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in London, with great quality food, all round good service and very fair pricing! I don't think I have ever had a bad experience here let alone a bad dish. My go-to items are: takoyaki, karaage, wakame salad, pumpkin croquettes, prawn tempura, dragon roll, phoenix roll and rainbow roll Thank me later !

By far, the best sushi restaurant I've been to. Have been in excess of 15 times, not one disappointing meal! Highly recommend!

I have mixed feelings about Ta Ke. A year ago or so, there was next to no vegan options on their lunch menu. But then, for dinner last Saturday, I was surprised to taste yummy vegan food: I had a nice ramen with miso stock. Be sure to book, as it can be very busy.

The picture of the sweet shrimp on the menu showed a sweet shrimp with a head. I asked the clerk to confirm whether it had a sweet shrimp with a head and he told me that it did. After the food arrived, the clerk first told me that it was useless, so I told him to cancel. A few minutes later, there was another clerk who was looking for a more senior position. He said to me in a very stern tone, "Sweet shrimp." The boss handles the problem better than the chef in the morning. He is a boss himself, but you can cancel if you want, but he is a boss in the first place." The attitude is so bad, it seems that it is the guest's fault. If you think about it, I won't do it. Cancel, I asked you clearly early in the morning. If it was you, I would call first. I was so full of gas after eating that I couldn’t eat anything else. The chopped udon was so wet.

Love everything about this place. I rarely return to restaurants as I'm always trying something new but have come back here. They also have halal options.

What a great find! Nice staff, good service and great food! Good crab (two piece) hand roll and excellent Tonkatsu Ramen. Really hot for a change, tender pork and just welcome on a do-so day. Partner had the veggie version which also hit the spot. Very nice staff and good, busy atmosphere. Toilets are rather tired but easy to forgive when the food was so good. Deffo going back for Sushi.

Great food with good service. Run by genuine Japanese folk. The lunch menu was reasonable value with the dinners being more expensive. We'll go back again for sure. Having been here several times before we took my parents. They loved everything we ordered! Tempura, udon, Teriaki. And the house sake. Lovely meal once again.

Decent japanese food although they don’t seem to actually specialise in anything. The sushi is pretty good - although not as good as the Atari Ya that this put out of business. The hot food is less good imo and not as good as the other Japanese restaurant that also closed soon after this opened. But this is a decent and happy place to be. I especially like the jiggly cheesecakes that have recently been served from the central dessert fridge. Service is hit and miss but friendly

Feels luxurious and functions efficiently, with fancy high end through to full value simple dishes. Not quite the quality of the old Atariya up the road, in terms of the raw ingredients, but fair middle ground.

Good food. But no mobile signal and no free WiFi there. Happy to change to five star if there is either mobile signal or free WiFi

12/31のお昼12:30にお蕎麦を食べに行きました。せっかくの美味しいお蕎麦とサクサク天ぷらが台無し.Googleレビューが良かったので伺ったのですがあまりの日本人の接客が酷すぎてびっくりしました. 背の高い男性?マネージャーさん?はじめ髪の長い女性の方? が受付してくれましたがいらっしゃいませもなく2人とも無愛想. 客と目も合わせず.その後オーダーをとってサービスを担当したKNさん?という女性(髪の長い受付の人にその方の名前を伺ってみました)接客は酷かったです。ただ頼まれたものを差し出すだけ。客の話はきちんと最後まで聞かないし不機嫌だし不愉快極まりなかったです。チームワークに問題があるように見受けられました. 日本人以外の方の接客は非常に安定していて好感度も高かったです. お食事もとても美味しいのに日本人の店員さんの接客だけが極めてお店の評価を低く付けさせていただいた理由です. 同じ日本人として非常に恥ずかしい接客. あまりに気分が悪買ったので違う店でお蕎麦食べ直しました. せっかくの大晦日が台無し

Brilliant authentic Japanese food, can't wait to go again. Unfortunately the urchin was out of stock but definitely recommend the eel with fois gras, that was amazing. Drinks are also nice. Bill gets expensive quickly, don't come expecting a cheap meal but do expect great value for money, high service and quality meals. Came for our 5th wedding anniversary.

Delcious authentic Japanese food in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Courteous and polite staff all-round as well. Our small group ordered a combination of bento boxes and some sushi and sashimi and we were all impressed and satisfied with our orders. Although it was fairly busy when we went, we noticed and could tell it attracted a healthy combination of local young professionals and families which is always a positive sign.

One of the best-value Japanese lunch spots in London. The sushi lunch set was £7.90. Feeling hungry, I ordered two. The sushi was fresh and delicious, accompanied by miso soup. The chef was attentive, removing the shrimp tail. Good service overall.

I've been to Ta Ke 4 times with my girlfriend and we've been delighted every time we've been. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is always incredible, and tastes fresh. Would highly recommend as a treat every once in a while!

Fresh sashimi and very good value. 美味しかったです。

お弁当の中に入っていたサラダにかかっていたドレッシングなのか、サラダ自身なのか、糸を引いて、納豆臭かった。一口食べてやめました。糸を引くのがわかめとかなら仕方ないけれど、納豆味というのが怖かったです。

Really good sushi, especially if you’re looking for somewhere in Ealing. Service was a bit slow & so was take-out once but it wasn’t too bad, just would take that into account. Gosh was really fresh and we really enjoyed our meals the few times we’ve been here/ordered delivery.
