We went here for an early dinner. There was now one in the restaurant at that time, but people came a little later. There was no atmosphere, no background music - even though we could hear some from the kitchen, just waiting staff miling around. I was very disappointed by the food and menu choices. It was very basic, no one bothered with the dishes presentation and the flavours could be much improved. It felt like it was just put together in the kitchen. Service was also basic. Would NOT recommend it, at least this one.

I came in with my family as my wife is craving for Japanese cuisine. The first thing I noticed is that none of the staff that assisted us have a name badge which is a shame as the person that helped us is very good. My wife ordered chicken karaage, mix tempura, dragon roll and chicken teriyaki and I ordered Pad thai. The chicken Karaage, teriyaki and dragon roll is good but it is missing a wow factor. The mix tempura is a disappointment, it only has 2 shrimp, long beans, bell pepper and a mushroom. The Pad Thai is a waste of money. It is too fishy and too salty, I was unable to even finish a quarter of it. This dish really needs to be revised, total disappointment.

Upon entery, the restaurant was filled and very crowded. We joined two family members who already had a table so we didn’t have to wait which was good. The waitresses were very unfriendly and never had a smile on their face so service wasn’t the best. I don’t think that establishments like these see the significance of service and how important it actually is to make an experience much worse or better. The food was good and we had some sashimi, miso soup and I had an eel and rice dish which was okay. Overall, wouldn’t come again, not a friendly environment and felt very cheap. Not happy.

Friends and I have been there a couple of times as it’s a good location for us to meet up there. To be honest, as I’m a SE Asian and travelled around the region quite a lot. The food there is very average. The good things is that some are keen on Chinese food and some like Thai food or some are sushi lovers, so you would easily agree to go to this place for food. This time I had seafood Ramen and very disappointed as there is nothing like ramen rather than chef threw a pack of quick cook noodles in a tasteless soup and added some cooked mussels, prawn, salmon and calamari. Although my English friend liked his Chinese Hoi -Sin lo mein and my Italian friend only eats Pad Thai noodles from this part of the region. We had a bottle of Tempranillo was not so good either. Staff are helpful and professional.

This is a highly frequented restaurant, so expect to find a queue of people in the entry and outside waiting to be seated. Is it worth the wait? Once you are seated it only depends on how quickly you can make up your mind what to order. Once ordered you'll have your food quickly. It's not the most inviting place and very busy, so I don't think anyone wants to stay around long anyway. I guess the speed of service is welcome. The table will not be empty for long, so it serves the business and we surely can assume that that's the business model. The food appears fresh, but underseasoned. In all there business they forgot to bring the wine. I guess wine drinking customers will block tables for too long anyway. If you need heightened attention of the service personal, you should look somewhere else.

Ordered a vegetarian soup and as I'm allergic to eggs asked to swap the noodles for non eggs ones. They advised me there would be a charge for this and the noodles they were going to use was one of my least favourites, so I skipped the noodles. When the soup arrive it was extremely salty. I told the waiter and the response I got was that The recipe was like that and they could add hot water to the soup and that's it! So as I was hungry I accept it even though I told them I wasn't happy to eat the soup, I would have liked a soup made properly. So they brought boiling water in a cup and just added at the table, leaving a spillage of water around the bowl of soup. I used to live Thai place but it looks like their standards have dropped a lot!

It was lunchtime and not crowded but the staff packed us into the front end of the restaurant rather than spreading us out. The food served was really disappointing especially the Chicken chillie and black bean lo mein. The chicken was tasteless as it was obviously pre-cooked and added to the noodles after it was fried and seasoned. The Tofu ramen was more tasty and I would suggest that had it not been for the soup, the whole dish would be equally bland.

Past takeaway entrance with staff leaning over till in a beanie. Not good start. Walked in to a busy 'canteen' than restaurant was my first thought. Tables lined up for 2x2 diners, almost enough room to squeeze in between tables without wiping your behind on somebody's glass of Asahi. Sashimi starter good. I value the attempt to challenge the 'worlds longest menu' set in 2005 in Budapest. Sadly, like the food, it fell short. Over cooked noodles, sweet chewy chicken in Sharwoods sauce. The nice piece of duck sat without any dressing on a bed of noodles mixed solely with five spice. I did like the Pak Choi. No comfort, no ambience, unable to talk without being mindful of the other barn fed humans either side whom I rubbed shoulders with. They could hear my every word as I could theirs. It's a take away really that allows you to sit and eat in..... It was fast food, in service, layout and quality of food, slightly above in price. Would I return. Nah.

I went to this place yesterday for the second time, and I loved it just as much as the first. The restaurant seems very cosy, and the tables are placed quite close to each other. they have a variety of seating which can accommodate any sort of outing (with friends, partners and family). They have a complete Asian menu, from the far East, a variety of sushi dishes which are always really well presented, and some rice and noodle dishes too. This time, I tried their Pad Thai, It was so tasty. They were able to add the extras that I required without any problems. I tried the vegetarian duck pancakes, the spring rolls and the deep fried prawns. they were very tasty and well balanced. If I was being really picky, I would say the hoisen sauce was a bit too sweet. The main dishes were delicious. I love the fact that the Jasmine tea is refillable! The waiters provide chopsticks and forks and spoons. As for the prices, I think it is good value for money. there is a lot of food for the price you pay. for Me, I went with 3 friends ( 4 of us in total), we ordered 3 starters, 4 mains and 4 drinks and we paid £51.I would recommend this place for a nice relaxed afternoon or dinner. My favorite restaurant in Ealing broadway, not because its Japanese but because of its Curry Laksa. I am not a fan of Curry Laksa but since I tasted Hare and Tortoise's Curry Laksa I became a frequent customer for many years now. I really enjoyed the taste without a doubt; so creamy and spicy just right to the "bite", with chicken, prawns, squid, tofu, vegetables...With regards to the restaurant, place is clean but small and crowded especially during friday and saturday. There is a long queue awaiting to be seated. Spaces between table is so narrow, person from the other table can hear all your chewing and muching and slurping...The staff were not friendly at all, so lifeless. If they smile, it does not look geniune. My family and I will still comeback though because of the Curry Laksa and the value for money food. But with the staff I'll just think they had a rough day and so no time to smile at the customer, I can bear with that.

I had lunch this week at this place and I must admit they have clear issue with the amount of stay they schedule! There were 4 waiting staff members for 4 tables! The most annoying thing was that they were squeezing everyone in the front bit of the restaurant probably just to look busy. The back of the restaurant was completely empty so some people were asking if they could move there, I would of done the same if I had to be squeezed between 2 tables while there was 15 available tables at the back. Anyway I loved my meal (duck and rice) the rice was lovely, however it was not served with any sauce and you can imagine that duck and rice alone would be dry! I arranged some soy sous and after that it tasted good. Unfortunately the staff looked quite sad and no smile nor any expressions were visible. On my way out I said "goodbuy" to a member of the staff who completely ignored me, I repeated it again when I got back the tinniest and not genuine smile.

Eine grosse Auswahl standardisierter japanischer Gerichte. Man bekommt sehr grosse Portionen, man wird also immer sofort satt. One of the best examples of Japanese cuisine in London! During the last 6 years we have been there on any special occasion and it is on the other part of London from home, in more than 20 km. It worth any penny! Delicious fresh food big choice of dishes all to try you will not be wrong!Suggested to all our friends. For that quality of food, prices are fantastic!

When you have a small menu, you cannot afford to not have sime basic items, nor to make each dish above average. They do maybe 8 hot ramens, three cold ones, a couple of katsu curries, a few side dishes and only a couple of desserts. They had no cucumber which was offered with the gin, no slimlines, no caffeine- free coffee. My friend said her cauliflower vegan wings were nice, endemame beans with salt are an insult of a dush in any restaurant, their chilli chicken ramen with the chilli removed and extra chicken were ok and my chilli prawn ramen was, frankly, the worst ramen i have ever had. Bland lukewarm, insipid and tasteless broth, earthy spinach mass overpowering everything and two, yes only two!!!,smallish prawns. Joke of a dish. Apparently the cashew ice-cream eastside biscuit dessert was tasty. Prices are not stupid, but it really is not worth a visit. Its just not very good food.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Woodstock Pub in Didsbury! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that set the tone for the entire evening. First and foremost, I must commend the outstanding service provided by Kamila and Sam. They were not only attentive and accommodating but also went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was exceptional. Their knowledge of the menu, recommendations, and friendly demeanor truly added to our enjoyment. Now, let's talk about the food! The dishes at The Woodstock Pub are nothing short of delicious. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and it's clear that the kitchen takes pride in their craft. From appetizers to dessert, every course was a delightful surprise. The quality and presentation of the food were outstanding, and I can't wait to return to try more dishes. Lastly, a special shoutout to the boss, Jimmy. His leadership shines through in the overall atmosphere and impeccable service at The Woodstock Pub. It's evident that he's created a welcoming and customer-focused establishment that stands out in the Didsbury dining scene. In summary, The Woodstock Pub is a hidden gem with top-notch service, delectable food, and a welcoming ambiance. Kamila, Sam, and Jimmy have created a winning combination that makes this place a must-visit. I can't recommend it enough!

Family of 8… Cannot fault the food… but as for the service they must have only one pan to cook the food… One main came out and then the rest 20 mins later…one side bought out to the table the main to accompany it 10 mins later… Questioned why we wouldn’t pay £30 service charge???? Very very poor service… & they were not even busy! Would not recommend off more than 2 diners! Very very disappointing… go to the Persian Restaurant next door… looks more exciting!

I had seen it a couple of times and wanted to try it out. We arrived at 1.15pm and it was empty but that soon changed. The lovely waiter showed us where to sit (it is a rather small place for about 10 people but there is open seating outside). We ordered a yakatori (succulent) to share for start, chicken sho-yu ramen and salmon terriyaki with rice. Amazing! The salmon was soft and tender, tasty sauce and the ramen was flavoursome. Not sure what some diners have said but it is well worth a visit. Sometimes it's best to try it for yourself to make judgement. And all reasonably priced.
