The best restaurants serving Japanese food in East of England

Great website for ordering, but very slow to be served when picking up.

Visiting a local event and my daughter wanted sushi , we opted to try VIP sushi and we are not disappointed the sushi is exceptionally good , we collected from a house which I was a little unsure about but communications form vip sushi were great 100% recommend you trying VIP sushi

Overpriced and underwhelming. The kaisen don, sashimi on sushi rice, was £26. The sweet prawns were fresh, but the rest of the sashimi didn’t taste fresh, especially the tuna. The bed of salad leaves under the sashimi were odd. The miso soup was sub par, laden with MSG with barely any taste of miso. Service was unprofessional and condescending. I come from London, and this would be overpriced even by London standards. I left hungry too, like the other reviewers. Not recommended.

Always top notch food quality, taste and experience. Always get a takeaway and it’s always ready for my collection.

Good sushi and innovative dishes. Overpriced for the amount of food. Well presented and good quality but left feeling hungry, as well as rushed to get us off our table. Not the stellar experience we used to get, unfortunately. Also, yelling greetings in Japanese every time someone walks through the door gets old very quickly. The ambience is good, and set in an historic building.

Came here recently for dinner. Service was fast, food portions were good and everything ordered tasted great. Overall another great experience!

Terrible waiting time, almost waited for 90 minutes for a prawn tempura roll!! It is terrible. Wasted my weekend on waiting a tempura roll. And the tempura roll is not good, the tempura is cold, the rice is loose, I don't know what I am waiting for. Terrible experience, never visit again.

Had a really nice meal here. service was warm and welcoming. Food was great, had a selection of starters and salad with a bit of sushi, all was good and very tasty. Need to go back and try some more dishes.

Great service and delicious food. Staff were super friendly and great with kids. We had a good table by a revolting belt and the choice of dishes was excellent. Resulted in trying so many different once. Good value!

Me encanta la comida asiática pero rara vez la como porque la mayoría de restaurantes la añaden : ( Así que este lugar resulta ser una verdadera joya, aprecié enormemente la decisión del propietario de dejarlo fuera de todos los platos. (Si no lo sabes, es un potenciador del sabor y realmente malo para nuestra salud.) Pedimos dos sopas de fideos, la 12 y la 16 y ambas estaban absolutamente deliciosas, y de sabor muy natural, perfectas. El tamaño de la porción era ideal para nosotros. El n.o 16 estaba un poco picante pero no mucho, así que creo que la mayoría de la gente podría manejarlo. El restaurante en sí es subterráneo, por lo que es un poco más oscuro y acogedor por dentro, con mesas cerca una de la otra. En general, una joya oculta encantadora que nos encantaría visitar más a menudo cuando visitemos Cambridge.

We ordered from Here for the first time tonight. The food was so delicious and fresh we regretted not buying more. I've been searching for a sushi place this Good ever since moving outside of London and I'm really happy I came across it. I recommend the chicken katsu roll and the fried squid. Everything was 10/10!

Absolutely loved it. Food was delicious! Didn't disappoint at all. We also took our 8 month old toddler with us, and even she couldn't stop eating yakisoba noodles, udon noodles and rice!

Honestly an all round amazing place. Food (spicy chicken Donburi) was great and restaurant quality for a street food vendor. Would 100% suggest for anyone looking for a nice bite!
