The best restaurants serving Japanese food in England

My friend book this place for a dinner. It's really convenient as walking distance from Victoria station. We order package for two and still can't finish it for 3 of us. Food was delicious. Everyone happy with their meal. This place is busy as all table are occupied. The toilet also clean. Price is affordable for those portion of food.

My favourite Ippudo brunch in London. Big shout out to Ernest ( what a gentleman) and Nuwan ( what a charmer) for making my experience unforgettable. I felt for a second I was in Japan 🇯🇵. Arigato gozaimasu !!! Big love for Japan and Ippudo! Forever yours … Croatian customer ❤️ 🍜

I understand this is a Tapas style asian restaurant but the portions compared to the price is really upsetting. Too greasy and took them a long time to serve. I guess they have less staff.

Fuimos al restaurante hermano Rai y tuvimos una cena encantadora allí, por lo tanto, con ganas de probar Hot Stone. Pedí una parrilla mixta de mariscos y filetes waygu. El servicio era amable, aunque irregular a veces. Estábamos interesados en probar la parrilla de piedra. Si bien el concepto era bueno: asar su propia comida en la piedra, la ejecución no lo fue. El aceite y el humo del waygu salpicaron todo el lugar y se subieron a su cabello, ropa, bolso, mesas y silla - eso explicaba por qué la silla se sentía asquerosa. No podía ir a ninguna parte, así que nos ahogó a mí y a mi compañero de comedor. Cuando por fin terminamos nuestra comida y pensamos que teníamos un indulto, la mesa de al lado se hizo suya y todo el lío comenzó de nuevo. El sabor waygu y todo estaba bien, pero después de nuestra primera ronda, me sentí cubierto de especificaciones de aceite. Yo no volvería otra vez porque quiero tener una comida donde usted debería ser capaz de saborear sabores waygu y los platos de sushi sutiles, no comer rápidamente para sacar todo de la parrilla y detener el humo y el aceite. Buena idea, pero mala ejecución por desgracia.

I loved it!!! Got the early dinner set and there was plenty of food imo and the chef was great!!!

My partner and I took my son and daughter in law here for dinner. Loved the decor. Very clean and a warm welcome. Staff were lovely and food was delicious. Had a great evening. Highly recommend.

Reached out to resolve but they stopped responding to my emails. Poor customer service

DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE! The food here could have been tastier and fish is more fresh than it is, but we still ate there occasionally for the convenience of its location.BUT THE STUFF IS SO RUDE! I arrived earlier for lunch and parked my car by the restaurant, they open at 11, and I went on a 30 mins walk around the block while waiting. I stop by their door to let them know I am waiting for them to be open, but it was locked ( at least they saw me at the camera that I stoped by). When I came back my car was towing away. I called the restaurant right away and asked the owner to stop towing, he said he will come out to talk to a towing driver. When he came up - he recognized me as a loyal customer!But started yelling at me with his hand straight forward, saying that he is right and I was wrong( what????) I asked him to give me my car back because I am a customer, and came to eat at his place,he interrupted and yelled to a driver to take my car away! What an unprofessional,rude, inconsiderable and uncivil person!!! Never ever again I will come eat at this place. They treat customers neither indifferent or in very defensive and disrespectful way.

Tempura prawns are amazing. Teriyaki chicken ramen was one of THE BEST I've ever had. Will be back every time I'm in London.

We hadn't eaten here before and our Grandson loves Japanese cuisine, so we took him to celebrate his 15th Birthday. The food was excellent and the service was great. Our Grandson enjoyed his food and some of mine. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. My wife tried a Korean dish which she absolutely loved.

Came here for a birthday meal (group of 6). Overall, we found it below average and unfortunately wouldn't return. The interior was lovely (awkward seating at the table upstairs, trapped in by the window - had to ask the adjacent table to get in and out), but the service was quite slow, we were left waiting a long time for drinks and food. We almost cancelled our second round of drinks as they only arrived when we had nearly finished. One of our guests' mains was forgotten and only arrived after the rest of us had finished eating, despite asking twice about it, which was a real shame. When the food did arrive, most of the mains were lukewarm rather than hot, apart from the delayed katsu. Starters were fine. They did give a free birthday dessert, which was appreciated! Although that’s quite standard at most places. We had been really excited to try this place, but left feeling disappointed. I personally wouldn’t recommend it, although it may have just been an off day.

Tonight's experience was below awful. We went there for a family reunion meal, 10 of us. The restaurant was near empty apart from us and they managed to completely screw our evening up. After 1.5 hours two of us still hadn't received our meals. I left without eating. We were all furious. They brought the youngest kids meals, just pasta, after everyone else apart from me and my eldest son who got out meal delivered as we were leaving in disgust. The kids pasta was hard. The restaurant staff were utterly clueless. Two staff members said it was their first night there. Noone could explain anything to us or know how to rectify the situation. All this time however, they were able to make lots of takeaway meals for their delivery drivers to scoot away. So people ordering takeaways were prioritised far above us idiots who went there to eat. I am wso angry and disappointed about tonight. This used to be a good restaurant. What the hell happened??!!

Simply 15 out of 10, a classy restaurant in all respects, authentic Asian food at a very reasonable price, courteous service. Above and beyond, and a cool place, and everything is delicious on other levels, classy combined cocktails, large dishes that are tasty and consistent with the original and really delicious desserts.
