So good. The food is amazing I'll be coming here regularly.

A hidden gem on Leeds for Filipino food lovers. Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommend chicken inasal, palabok, lugaw, halo halo, and turon.

Fantastic range of authentic dishes that have immaculate and traditional flavours with big portions sizes. The sisig was amazing! Service was fast and friendly as we also got a free shot each at the end of our visit which was really nice. The only thing I'd have to critique is that my lugaw could have been a bit more soupy but it was still so good and I'd definitely order it again tbh.

It’s nice to try Filipino food in the heart of leeds , the presentation and the food itself is top notch I couldn’t ask for more , my Childhood favourites are here from the starters to the mains and desserts ❤️❤️❤️ and our server Glen was very helpful and accommodating to me and my other half , halo halo and lechon kawali ❤️❤️❤️

I loved the original Sakku - it was one of very few East Asian halal restaurants! They had something for everyone, meat, fish, sushi, veggie and vegan... Now, it's almost all pork. I appreciate they still have options. But it's really disappointing. I get majority of people will scoff and even celebrate the now none inclusive restaurant. But the staff and vibe are all good still. Will have to find an alternate place for now.

Heard about this new Filipino restaurant and it is AMAZING! Food is delicious and you can taste all the flavours and it gave me a piece of home that brought me joy! The staff are friendly, helpful and topnotch service! Ambiance is a plus! Calm and elegant atmosphere! Will definitely be back!

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Leeds city centre, but easy to walk to, this place serves the best Filipino cuisine! The atmosphere is perfect for dates and group night-outs, and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating 👌🏻 The food is cooked to perfection and didn't sit heavy on the stomach afterwards - The fried shrimp in particular was the perfect starter. Shout out to John, top-lad, who was amazing from start to finish.

Came with the family, service was very welcoming and warm. Three Filipinos in the party all said it reminded them of home!

Meal was spot on I had Lumpiang Baboy (look like spring rolls but not with pulled pork) with Lechon Kawali (deep fried pork belly pandan rice) melt in your mouth and the wife had a noodle dish and while you wont find many smaller menus the food we had was great and it definitely deserved to be busier The waiting staff were excellent, attentive without being smothering

Food really very expensive for what it is. Service good but didn’t realise the service charge was optional, they need to make that clearer. We only went as we thought it was an all you can eat buffet but apparently it isn’t anymore, even though various places online say it is. Overall pretty disappointing.

I'm still eating as I write this review because it's amazing here the food the service and restaurant is so clean and inviting you must come and experience this wonderful restaurant

Absolutely delicious, authentic Filipino food. Everything was superb. Staff were helpful and friendly. Filipino music playing in the background. It was like being back in Manila. We will definitely go back there 5 stars at the very least

.The place was recommended by work colleague whose partner is from Southeast Asia. We attempted during the first week to go in and we tried after work at approx 8:45 but was told they already have their kitchen closed. Last weekend was the same, we came approx 8:50 and we was told by a manager that the staff have started cleaning the kitchen. (Same person from previous refusal - short male) Well, first your kitchen should always be clean. Second if your opening times are different change your website to only upto 8:45. We can never reserve as it’s an off chance after work and we don’t know how many pax can make it. When we called they said they accept walk- ins. We know most restaurants cater and will accept walk ins upto the last minute before closing. You must welcome your guests and not turn away esp your fairly new After all there’s so many restaurant in Leeds…

As a Filipino this food was amazing! The quality of food was outstanding, the atmosphere was beautiful and the service was great. Our server Jake was so attentive and caring, he made our experience memorable. Would highly recommend to everyone and anyone wanting to try some authentic Filipino food!

Incredible from start to finish. This was my first taste of authentic Filipino food and I was not disappointed. So many flavours creating a taste sensation in every mouthful and the presentation was spot on too. Not only was the food perfect but our waiter, Jake, was friendly, approachable and natural given it was his first day! Will 100% be back!

Once our family having the buffet, but the restaurant charged more money. We found that on another day and went back to the restaurant to negotiate with the manager. In the end, the manager agreed to refund the overpayment. Unfortunately, three months have passed, and we still haven't received the due amount.

Amazing food but service from certain staff could be better, especially when dealing with service charge. If it’s advertised as optional it’s quite off putting to feel pressured into not taking it off.

Was my first time there and I was relly excited about this experience. The restaurant is well decorated and I had great expectations about the food but they don’t serve meat on lunch time. I asked them to serve a la cart for my husband (he doesn’t like sushi) but I wanted unlimited still but they didn’t agree with it, both should eat unlimited or a la cart. We got out from the restaurant without eat. I had been really disappointed with their way to solve things. I said them that I love sushi but they don’t care about the customers.

Food was decent, but again, nowhere near as good as the other place. Drinks are really expensive too. Most the staff (excluding one) didn’t seem trained or even care Much about the customer experience. Including the manager. Another big disappointment was when we got the bill. They hadn’t applied the midweek 30% discount. When we flagged it, they said it was because we were a walk in and hadn’t booked. I explained that we had, which they checked but then claimed it was because we booked on the phone and not online. The manager was pretty arrogant and said there was nothing she could do about it. We won’t be going again. Do yourself a favour and go to blue Sakura instead. It’s ten times better.

Server Mikaela made the visit very pleasant. Sadly visit was disrupted by drunk chavs, however staff were very patient dealing with them.

DO NOT GO HERE. Food was not edible.Went here on a date on a saturday, they basically had nothing on the menu. Sushi was frozen and the rice was mush. Meat options came out raw and chewy. Ordered things multiple times that never showed up, and no explanation why. Go to Blue Sakura instead, this place isn't edible. We got one beer and one cocktail with our meal, 113£ for less variety you'd get at every other sushi restaurant.

This was our first visit to the place, the ambience was wonderful. On arrival we had very cold welcome, we told the staff that we are here for the first time but she looked in so much rush and quickly explained us how to order and left. We had to go back again and ask another staff member how to order and told them it's our first time so bit of help and kindness would be appreciated. Food was good. In the end she told us that we have to pay 10£ extra per dish we have wasted. told her we were not aware of that and you guys didn't tell us about that on arrival, to this the cold response was it should be in your confirmation email. I double checked opentable email which didn't mention it. Also to consider we had 3 children with us, anyways we agreed to pay extra as staff was literally bilittling us infront of our guest... we paid 265£ for the 4 adults and 3 small children so 25£ extra wouldn't have make much difference. However the way their staff esp the manager spoke to us was extremely rude, inconsiderate and very much embarrassing. Would not recommend this place for anyone wanting to visit in a large party. Very unhelpful staff.

Came here for a date on a Saturday evening, service was very poor. 1st round of drinks took around 15 minutes to come. Overall menu is quite small compared to blue Sakura Waiters was just pretty useless, didn't really know what they were serving etc. Overall bad, go to blue Sakura much better

This is a must try spot in Leeds. The quality of sushi is superior to most spots in the UK (even the rice has flavour). Try the sake with your food too. The staff are super helpful and friendly, this place has an atmosphere of a japanese sakura orchard at dusk with chill music. Bonus that it is an all you can eat buffet with this type of quality.

Been here a few times and it’s always absolutely incredible. Every single aspect - the food, the ambiance, decor and the service. The value for money is also really good, it’s a somewhat expensive meal but it’s worth every penny for the amount of food you can get. Mihela and David went above and beyond for us, couldn’t do enough and were attentive throughout our whole visit. 10/10 recommend

I was incredibly pleased with my first visit. All you can eat, high-quality small plates that came out rapidly, great cocktails and fully regulated by an iPad system. We actually reached our limit at around 16 plates between the two of us and signed off earlier than we expected! We were tended to by the famous Mihaela, who seems to be renowned across Sakku's reviews - she didn't disappoint and neither did the rest of the staff that really struck me as making a clear effort.

A luxurious Japanese dining experience that surprised us! From the aesthetically pleasing décor to the self-order tablet, made this all you can eat evening my top restaurant experience in Leeds thus far. The friendly staff rotated efficiently to assist us with every question that we had, and the food came out the kitchen very fast. Each dish had an ‘Instagramable’ plating flare, and the taste did not disappoint either. We tried some weird and wonderful dished that I have never had the privilege of experiencing and boy was I in awe. We will definitely be returning for this amazing dinning experience.

Amazing atmosphere and great, super tasty food ;)

This place is great, the all you can eat concept is brilliant and actually 15 mins between ordering is very quick. Most of the food we tried tasted really good. The bad thing was that there was no way to tell which items had been delivered and some times the waiters delivered to the wrong table, some of the items didn't arrive or arrived in the wrong order. Other then that we had a brilliant time and would recommend this place.

Took my dad and nephew there, first time for them, and everything was perfect from the start! We got there early, and we were seated immediately, the food was awesome, nice and hot, on time ans served with a smile and impeccable politeness. The whole team was amazing! Mihaela and the two Italian gents and the Spanish young girl that made my mocha, one of the best i ever had might i add, were just amazing! We will definitely be back ! Thank you Team Sakku!!!

Food was very average, a few of our orders were missed/wrong things brought out but certain dishes were pretty tasty, especially the deep fried mushroom and spring onions. Bao buns and sushi and gyoza didn't seem fresh at all but service was very quick. Probably wouldn't go back and seemed a bit style over substance.

Foods ok I guess. Food took a while to come out. Every time I ordered food on the tablet most of the items didn’t come at all. #bluesakura is way better!

Sakku is an amazing place where you can eat really well. Very big competition for blue Sakura! Although in my personal opinion Sakku wins all stars and taste. The dishes are amazing, you can really fil full after eat some things in this place! The atmosphere, music and staff are absolutely tip top. I recommend it wholeheartedly, the place is worth your attention, well-kept bathrooms and extremely clean tables. I will be a regular visitor to this restaurant!

The food served was unique and saying it is delicious would be an understatement 🙏🏼 It has great ambiance too with the sakura flower decor enveloping us!! The servers were all lovely in particular Atishi!

The food is delicious and the interior is beautiful! We loved how you can order from the tablet on the table, it made ordering very convenient. Me and my partner decided to go to this restaurant for our valentines meal and this venue ruined our night. We booked the valentines lunch £36.95 ( this is what I agreed to on the website) and got charged premium rates £49.95. They also said that we could only spend 1 hour 15 instead of 1h 30 which made us feel rushed. This didn't bother me until we realised that the quality of our food wasn't of expectation. The menu was rather limited and didn't have a lot of options considering other places that we had been to like blue Sakura. Then everything that we ate was really bland. No matter what you ordered everything was seasoned with salt only. The meat was also cheap cuts such as chicken thighs instead of breast and the red meats were really fatty and felt uncooked. My partner also ate a piece of chicken that had a sharp piece of wood skewer that got stuck in her gums. It was at this point we decided to leave. The cocktails were also £12 each and had ingredients missing. We noticed that everyone got greeted with a rose and a happy valentines day apart from our table. Until the waitress said it to us as we were leaving. Overall, a waste of £150 and other restaurants that serve the same cuisine offer a lot better food. Will deffo be going back to the Blue Sakura instead.

Booked for lunch for my son's birthday and was pleasantly surprised to see the place empty - the only table until after 2pm when a few other tables arrived. Th staff - Mihaela and David were excellent - very attentive and nice but we thought that was down to the fact that it was empty but my son got a birthday cheesecake before we left. Booked again 3 weeks after and the place was packed! Service was expectedly slow but again excellent service especially from Mihaela. Food is good rather than excellent but worth the travel across the Pennines to get a Sushi fix

Michaela let us in early because it was raining heavily. She was very warm and welcoming as is the beautiful decor so tranquil and relaxing. We were seated and served by Michaela who was very helpful showing how to order. You use a tablet to make your drinks and food orders you can order 4 dishes person at a time waiting 15 minutes before you can order more. The food is freshly prepared and is absolutely delicious so much choice Service is excellent Quite the jem of a restaurant will definitely be going back many times

We were a party of 7. We had 2 tablets. 1 table had a very very long wait for food. Some food ordered on both sides never arrived. The food that did come was nice. Didn’t love ordering on a tablet. Some waiters seemed a bit lost, not sure if they were new and training. The manager was working very hard, and had excellent customer service. Beautiful setting. Easy to get to. I just found it a bit slow for food. Also would have loved a coconut ice cream but they didn’t have any. I imagine this place could be better than what I experienced. What I experience was ok. It was also my birthday, and they brought out a cake and sang, which was a lovely gesture.

We alerted staff to the poor service they offered no solution and we we're told the restaurant was busy, I mean most of the dishes we ordered were sashimi and you can see behind the counter it's already sliced I don't understand how it's not plated and sent straight out! It seemed like fried food and rice would come out but they wouldn't send the fish dishes. Overall a poor poor service and not a place I'd recommend to anyone anymore, we used to love coming here but standards have dropped drastically save yourself the disappointment people and maybe try somewhere else like blue sakura. What a shame!

sticky rice, slow service and have been waiting 30 mins for a cup of water. food are salty and made us salty. not worth £25. Also keeping serve us something that we didn't order, weird!

Food was pretty nice but my partner and I noticed the menu has changed. No pork options at all, which makes me believe its owners are Muslim. Not a big deal but does seem strange for a Japanese restaurant. They got our order wrong a few times. Seemed a tad odd when everything is ordered via a mobile tab and the place being extremely quiet for a Saturday night. All in all everything was satisfactory.

Food was so tasty and the nigiri was the size of my finger! It was massive pieces of sushi and they don't skimp either. Really thick cuts of fish and all made impeccabley. The sweet chilli squid was to die for and I demolished 2 plates of it! Overall food was really tasty but the steak was a little bland and needed a bit more colour in my opinion. Food service was slow and I wasn't told until I had placed two orders of the seabass nigiri that they don't serve it anymore. Overall very good and me and my fiancé want to come back again just the two of us for date night.

Would not recommend!!! Me and my boyfriend decided to Dine at Sakku for our New Years meal before going into Leeds. I saw lots of people recommending this restaurant on Instagram and Tiktok and decided to try this out. I had super high expectations for this place but we were unimpressed and left hungry even when our bill cost nearly £100 between us. The waiting time was appalling… we were waiting 30+ minutes for even one dish to arrive at our table. However, there was two party tables sat next to us and behind us that were being served super quick and the waiters were chatting to them… a service which was obviously overlooked for us. When the food FINALLY arrived, the portions were tiny and was not worth the wait. The website is also VERY misleading… we booked a table on a Sunday which should have cost us £38.95 each, however once the bill came, we were charged the rate of a Friday and Saturday night Dinner and spent nearly £10 (this was without alcoholic beverages and having to order tap water which was free!!) Overall our experience here was terrible and very very disappointing. The restaurant only care about one thing… taking your money. If the waiters were as quick to serve our food as they were to take our money when paying the bill, we would be a lot happier with our experience. The price we paid was not worth the food we was provided. We will NOT be coming here again. Truly a waste of money.
