Sushi Kitchen in Leeds

Ordered a take away from this place and It took almost 2 hours to arrive. I called the restaurant and the excuse given was that it’s too busy. This is the worst excuse that restaurants use these days. If you’re too busy then either hire more staff or stop accepting more orders. The greed is not acceptable and the costumer has to suffer. Sign of a poor establishment.

Let's start off with the good. Food was nice. Delivery spot on. However the portions are so small for the price. Tasted like any other sweet and sour, so nothing special for the huge price. Need bigger containers for the prices you charge.

Ordered the mega munch box as I'd heard great things. I was so disappointed. It's basically a big box of chips (apparently salt and pepper chips but there was so little seasoning), a small portion of rice, some ribs with next to no meat on them and two tiny pots of sauce that didn't go very far. A waste of £20. Avoid.

The food here is delicious! There is a wide mix of different Asian cuisine (which sometimes makes it hard to pick as it all tastes so good!). There are also lots of veggie options if that is your dietary preference.

Really gone down hill! Cheap ingredients and smaller portion sizes, and yet prices have increased,. Off my list , so time to find another

I’ve ordered over 20 times from Sushi Kitchen and they never disappoint. I have a lot of dietary requirements and I am used to places not reading the notes and having food I cannot eat but Sushi Kitchen has gotten it right EVERY TIME!! It’s amazing to have a sushi place that I know is safe and delicious. Cannot recommend more (and I would suggest ordering on their own app for the best prices)

Wow, top quality Sushi so fresh and delicious! The delivery is very speedy! This is a takeaway like no others! The Sushi chef takes pride in making Sushi, the presentation, timing and freshness are first class! Definitely give it a try and you’ll get blown away!

Amazing food and such good portions! Never had a bad meal from here and ordered many times. Great for vegan options (most veggie things can be adapted to be vegan). We've usually get the pumpkin katsu and veggie/vegan sushi sets which have always been amazing. Today we had teriyaki beef, japenese udon veggie noodles, and salt & pepper chips, all soo good and big portions.

Stay clear. Ordered a munchie box, prawn toast. Within 2 hour me and my partner were at the toilet. Tried to resolve with the company, however asked to prove by a doctor that they, themselves caused food poisoning. Obviously unrealistic and no resolve made, after spending almost 30 pounds, and most going in the bin! This is after a few years of ordering, and 100s of pounds spent, accused of trying to scam the company out of a munchie box. Disgusting, I will never order again the customer service from what I presume is the manager is disgusting.

Simply the most elite takeaway in Leeds. There is no competition whatsoever. The food is hot, its tasty, there's so much choice. The size of the portions is immense and there is never compromise on quality. They never get it wrong. The one time I thought they did, it was my mistake 🤣 I would simply never recover if sushi kitchen stopped delivering to my house!!

I’d give 0 stars if I could. First time getting takeaway from this place. They didn’t deliver to our area, so we pre ordered and got there on time to collect the order. When we were back home we realised part of the order we paid for in advance wasn’t given to us when collected! The sushi set worth £38 was simply uneatable, tasteless and raw fish was slimy and even the dog wouldn’t touch it. We all had upset stomach following day. I tried contacting sushi kitchen but they were unhelpful and rude, demanding the proof that sushi were bad. Awful experience, avoid at all costs!

Second time getting a take away from sushi kitchen, and the food had travelled 20 miles before we could eat. Sushi rolls , very fresh, thick pieces of sashimi sitting on the top and inside. Combination of rice to filling is great. Kimchi wings are to die for, omg not had such good wings in a long time. I live the sauce and the crunch kimchi and onions. Malaysian chicken curry...Wow wow wow . I haven't been on any travel since the pandemic and Malaysia is my second home. This curry not only reminded me of proper Malaysian food, but I think it tastes better than my favorite one in Malaysia. Thank you chef!!! Excellent service as well Highly recommend if you are in the area and fancy something a little different as a take away

Had food twice from here. 1st time ordered a Szechuan chicken, what I got was a tub of red grease. Really not good. 2nd time had family visitors round who hadnt had sushi before. Bought a mix sushi with some other stuff... Within said sushi little black hairs were found (almost looked like eye lashes) after so many were found decided to take food to takeaway to show them... The so called chef accused me of putting the hairs in the food and that I was trying to scam them for money back. Said I'd get 50% back in the end. Me being soft or maybe fair accepted.... Never did get any money returned. Vile food and rude staff. 5* reviews here must be high when ordering. Reply to owner: from seeing other responses to other bad reviews you cannot accept when you're food has been below standard. You can't blame customers for apparently not knowing what they ordered! I'm a fully qualified Chef and I know what I'm ordering and know what good food is when I eat it. You sir are a disgrace. And your customer service is definitely lacking. Also, 1 piece of sushi... Several pieces were found to be containing hair from your over inflated bonce. And not even 1p was ever returned to me despite us coming to an agreement of 50%.

Ordered thru Deliveroo based on reviews. Overall excellent food. However the Teriyaki beef could have been anything! No beef apparent! Had the texture of twiglets! The salt and pepper ribs were “ruined” with cinnamon…. Am a bit nervous to try the S & P wings in case they have cinnamon in the recipe too! Everything else was excellent and it was nice to have the proper dip for the tempura - so many places just give soy sauce which is wrong! Will definitely order again and try a few other dishes.

Arrived quickly (30 min on a Friday night). Was hot and very good. Good varied menu, a lot of interesting dishes. Cheaper if you order directly rather than on just-eat. Will definitely order from Sushi Kitchen again. Thanks!

First time trying, the best beef and chicken with egg fried rice I have had. Lovely staff. Will definitely be ordering again.

Hands down my favourite Chinese in Leeds. Munchie boxes are delicious. Crispy duck is gorgeous. Always delivered quickly and staff there are very polite when I Have been in to order. Portions are very generous. And if you download their app instead of JustEat you get deals. I got 50% off one of my orders.

Sat in the car writing this after another fabulous take away from sushi kitchen. Me and my boyfriend drive nearly an hour (from Haworth) to come here more than once a month. In lockdown we were sometimes coming twice a week. It seriously is that good. Portions are huge for the price and the quality is amazing. Staff are always lovely. Never had a bad meal from here!

Erm....bit of a hit and miss this place. Two out of four times they do get it right, not so great other times! I suppose I shouldn't grumble as most of it is flash cooked from frozen but when you're hung over "it'll do" I suppose. Asked for 10 extra pancakes once and they wanted £4 extra for this!! 😱

14 minutes from placing the order to having it delivered. Steaming hot and massive portions as always. Amazing quality food and great price. They say you can never have all three of low price, fast service, good quality. With sushi kitchen, you get all 3, seemingly every time! Keep up the good thing and we will be back week after week (maybe more haha)

Tempura crab was out of this world. And the noodle soup was equally good! It really made my night.

Tonight's order was the best by far we have ever had from Sushi Kitchen, the food is improving every time we order. Compliments to the chef, thank you for the massive portions, soft fresh delicious Sushi, beautiful beef curry, and the fresh fluffy chips in the yummy munchie box. Unbelievable value and super fast delivery and friendly nice delivery guy! Would not go anywhere else now.

This place is incredible. They came 20 minutes early which was amazing, but the presentation for a takeaway is also super impressive! Food also tasted fresh and overall really delicious, will definitely order again. Halal publication (for those who are wondering) is strange as on Just Eat it says halal, but upon calling only the chicken is halal. Just in case anybody else had the same questions as me :)

Quite sure that this is one of the best take away around this area. Big portion of tasty meal for a good price! I tried some of the sushi; it was great and huge. Uramaki barely fits my mouth and even the usually tiny maki is big. Everything is fresh and tasty, it's satisfying. They are quite fast as well, took only 10 minutes to get everything ready and I ordered a decent meal. Staffs are friendly too.

Whenever I get a sushi craving it's my go to place. The portion sizes are more than generous, literally cannot get the uramaki in my mouth! Best take out sushi in Leeds by far.

Food's absolutely delicious and big portions. Bit further away from me but food's always hot when it gets here. What I would suggest for them is to put the miso soup you get for free with a main meal as optional because not everyone will want it and transition to environmentally friendly containers or at least recyclable. There is too much plastic on this earth. Thank you for your lovely food and hard work to keep it constantly so!

This place is really good. Sometimes if there's a really big diverse menu it sets off alarm bells but they nail every dish. Plus the value is excellent and portions are huge!

The best Chinese/Japanese/Malaysian you will get in Leeds from a take away. All the ingredients are fresh and prepared every day, doesn't taste greasy like other Chinese places. Massive portions for the money. Delivery can take longer than stated due to the popularity of this place but your food always turns up fresh and hot.

Delicious!!!! We might have just found out new favorite. We will definately be ordering from the Sushi Kitchen again. We collected our food and it was ready on time and the staff were friendly. The food was all hot. We had the chicken gyoza, chicken katsu and yakitori udon. All were absolutely delicious. Looking forward to trying more of the menu next time.

Such a shame! Chicken was soggy on outside and like rubber in the middle , chips was very hard and crispy Asked for plain noodles and they didn’t come plain! Wouldn’t recommend if your wanting a good Chinese!

Food ok but not worth a 3 hour 20 minute wait. Got a text upon ordering to say would be 90 minutes but no further updates at al . When ordering it should tell you before hand how long the expected wait is, had I have known I would not of ordered. No apology, nothing, deliver guy tried to make it out was nothing to do with him and that I should complain to them, for what I said, pointless now

I love this place. My daughter loves Sushi, the Miso soup and trying new things. I love the Munchie Box, it's a real guilty pleasure. The staff are lovely too, great customer service.

Poor service, rude staff! Ordered at 1600 for delivery at 2030 ( sons 16th birthday treat, order over £50). Received a message at 2000 to say that order would be delivered at 2050 (fair enough given current circumstances). Received a phone call at 2047 asking what we would like instead of 2 portions of king prawns as they had run out!!!! Whilst they were choosing an alternative from the menu, I asked how much longer we would be waiting and was told by the rude lady to stop being argumentative. Food arrived almost an hour late, was overcharged as paid for king prawns and got chicken. Customer service absolutely shocking, no apologies and beyond bad attitude. Real shame as food was second to none when it arrived, absolutely beautiful. Terrible customer service and attitude of staff means I would not recommend to anyone.

Usually good and quick however we ordered on Sunday, got a text saying it'd be 90mins and ended up coming after 2 and a half hours. If we'd known we would have eaten from elsewhere. I rang on a few occasions to ask where it was and they said it's in the kitchen or our for delivery. It clearly wasn't. We have spoken to them since and they said "no manager here to help." And because it was a previous day there's "nothing they could do" yet after the food finally arrived and we had to warm it up they were closed! Apparently a photo would have helped and shown them the temperature of the food? Nice food, usually good service but this is appalling. Not sure we'll go back

The sushi is excellent and well presented, my main go-to takeaway for sushi. Considering the circumstances, you may have to wait quite some time for the food to be ready as they can be really busy but it is well worth the wait. Ordered from here a couple of times, look forward to trying out the rest of the menu.

After trying to get through by phone we drove there and found on line orders and telephone orders were taking priority, we waited over15 minutes whilst the phone orders were taken and then left. Previously we had received the wrong order but it was put right. Doubt we’ll try it again, wasted time and money ringing and going

Extremely rude, got the order wrong. When I called the explain the photo on the website didn't match the meal I'd received They blamed ME for them putting a photo of a Thai food photo on their own website and demanded that I had to call their freelance website designer to argue it with him and he wouldn't be giving me another meal. That also wouldn't of got me the right order, something similar or a refund. He flat out Refused to take responsibility for the issue and snapped at me constantly. I explained its not my job to do their website and do his work for him, if they had checked their own company website they would of known there were photos of food that didn't belong to them. When asked why he hasn't ever checked his own site he became silent and had no answer . the owner eventually gave me something else but the person on the phone flat out refused and said it was my problem. I have never been so disrespected and received such attitude for a problem that could of easily been corrected. The owner eventually came on the phone to apologise and thanked me for bringing the mistake on his website to his attention so he could change it. Lose the attitude because your food is great but you should not be front of house. Regards a food and travel blogger

Katsu curry is a huge beautiful portion and the sushi is fresh and delicious. I've also called them a couple of times and they are really friendly. Great stuff.

Decent portions and beautifully presented with condiments included. I could really taste every ingredient as everything is so fresh. Generous amount of the more expensive ingredients as well like prawns, squid and salmon - they didn't pack everything with cheap rice like store bought packs tend to do. Loved the online ordering system as well. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars not 5 is that the flavours were lacking a little bit. Wasabi chain really has it nailed down with always adding some creamy, dip-like mixtures to add the flavour to salads and bento. Without it the food tastes a little dry and bland. Soy sauce doesn't quite cut it on it own.

Best chicken katsu curry on par with waggamama. Will order again.. salt and pepper chips are amazing unlike local takeaway these guys do it right. Spot on with flavour.

Amazing Japanese food! Have recently discovered this gem of a takeaway and cant be any happier! Good Japanese food is really hard to find in Leeds (Especially outside the city centre) but here the food is tasty, looks and tastes fresh, good portion sizes and has a huge variety available. Not only do they do Japanese food, bit the also do Chinese and some Korean and Malaysian dishes. They really have something for everyone. Great value and fast service for collection too. Will be using regularly and can't recommended enough to others and hope it does well and stays around for a long time to come.

A local gem. Went last night. Had veg goyoza, pumpkin satsu, egg nigiri and octopus balls. It was all flipping excellent! And came to 15 quid for plenty of food for two of us to eat. Will definitely be back.

Love this place!! Great vegan selection, phone up and ask if not sure about anything. Really good inventive plant based sushi selection. More than the usual plain cucumber maki. Speedy delivery and great prices :)

I very rarely leave reviews on takeaways as they are much of a muchness. However I was super impressed with Sushi kitchen. We ordered a small munchie box which is in no way small! Two of us struggled to finish this but it was delicious. The ribs were so succulent and so too was the chicken and both really meaty too. We then had the crunch prawn and avocado uramaki. Sooo good. Fresh, tasty and the details like the ginger, soy and wasabi all being authentic just topped it off nicely. We also ordered the sushi kitchen special Japanese yaki soba noodles, these looked incredible, again big pieces of meat, fresh ingredients and huge portion. However we were too full to try this so its saved for tomorrow! Will definitely order from here again, not an average takeaway.
