Sticks’n’Sushi in City of London, Westminster

Couldn’t fault our visit! We were made to feel welcome right from the start, our coats were taken and we were led to our table. Our server Ayman was amazing! He was friendly, helpful , gave great recommendations and we loved being looked after by him. Thank you so much for a lovely evening! We will be back!

The food was incredible! Quality of the sushi really caught me off guard, it was also fairly priced. I loved the special valentines day cocktails. Bruna was an amazing host, she looked after us. We left the restaurant stuffed, i would definitely come to eat here again... We'll be back.

The staff were lovely, super friendly, attentive, and always had a smile. The service was seamless, with food arriving promptly and every dish tasting delicious, especially the matcha fondant and the lychee martini. Since it was my birthday (which I mentioned in my reservation), one of the staff members (apologies, I didn’t catch his name, but he had a moustache with curly tips) went out of his way to make the evening extra special. He asked if I liked chocolate ice cream, and later surprised us with it for dessert! Such a thoughtful touch that made the night extra special. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Good spot for Sushi near to London Victoria station

This place is spectacular. Great service. Beautiful presentation. So many different interesting flavours to try. Bougie interiors. We had so much food it's hard to choose favourites. I really enjoyed the karaage chicken and the beef tartare. The meat skewers had some lovely delicate flavours too. I came for a meal with friends and the atmosphere was great even though it was a Monday. I will be dreaming about this meal for a while ♥

Sushi tastes good and the people are nice, but in my opinion too expensive for what you get.

While passing through London we looked for a Japanese restaurant and discovered this beautiful place. Beautiful atmosphere, top service. We find photos of the dishes on the menu, it helps when ordering when you are not a specialist, a big thank you. The dishes are very well presented, appetizing and succulent. A great discovery, I recommend.

The sushi is very fresh and tasted great! The flavour combinations were amazing and variety on offer is amazing! The staff were knowledgeable and attentive. The decor is classy and everything was clean and to a very high standard! Great value for money and definitely planning another visit soon!

I visited Sticks 'n' Sushi for New Year's Eve dinner with high expectations, given the brand's marketing for high-end Japanese quality. Unfortunately, I deeply regret this choice – even a modest pizza restaurant would have been preferable to spending our time and money here. Despite positive reviews from others, the only genuine positive was the service, which was both prompt and well-organized. The food quality, however, was merely on par with typical Japanese takeaway establishments. The ebi panko appeared to be either pre-frozen or prepared hours in advance, arriving cold and lacking the crispy texture advertised in their photos. The sushi rolls were disappointingly bland, particularly the Alaska roll, which received unanimous criticism when shared around our table. Even the more elaborate dishes lacked the flavor complexity and culinary craftsmanship one would expect at this price point. The disappointment extended to dessert, where the chocolate sponge was served cold, and the matcha cream was so weak it was barely discernible. The vanilla ice cream tasted identical to budget supermarket varieties, lacking any artisanal quality you'd expect. We left feeling thoroughly disappointed, and I won't be returning to any Sticks 'n' Sushi location. P.s. Thanks for your reply but I'm not interested in discussing the ruined New Year's Eve nor your "dress to impress" cheap quality.

Extremely slow service. Clearly not enough staff for the number of customers. Prepared food sat out for ages waiting for someone to take it to a table.

Terrible service for large table booking! Had a booking for a semi-private area with a table of 17 people. Organised it very smoothly with the reservation team, they were very responsive. However when we arrived, the host kept asked questions every 3mins that were already answered with the reservation team, this really disrupted the vibe of the celebrations as we kept being interrupted for poor reasons. The restaurant also got sent out the wrong food a few times so we had to contest this. One of the guests became hospitalised hours before the booking and they still made us pay for their food. The food was decent, too many edamame beans, but honestly the host was a -2 out of 10, seemed inexperienced. They didn’t even draw the curtains to make the table semi-private. I had to tell them to do it and they didn’t fully draw the curtains. I could’ve hosted the table better myself! Disappointed

Been to this restaurant before and rated 5 stars. On the recent visit we were sat at the bar due to a lack of reservation. The staff was nice but not as much as normally. The sushi taste was just ok but didn't have the oomph was made with minimal care. Very sloppy and essentially every single one fell apart. Pink Alaska roll didn't have any cream cheese. The tiniest of smears. We sent it back and the replacement we received was the same. In the end, subpar experience, especially considering the previous excellent experience (and the price).

The food and service were outstanding. The sushi was excellent. They were very sensitive to our time since we were going to a show.

A wide range of mega delicious sushi to choose from. Wonderfully presented and friendly staff.

I had to dine alone and was seated at a lovely comfortable corner table. The music and mood of the restaurant was very calming and uplifting at the same time. My server, a lovely woman from Portugal was ever so attentive and answered my many questions on the menu with great recommendations. The yellowtail ceviche is a dish I will always remember. I will be back.

A beautiful fusión of Danish and Japanese cuisine - one of my favorite spots in London. Sticks’n’Sushi never disappoints - the quality of the food is consistent from one restaurant to another, there’s a wide variety of dishes / flavors available and the service is always on points. I highly recommend the Victoria, King’s Road, Covent Garden and Canary Wharf branches.

Been here many times, but this time was the best experience. Menu has changed but for the better. New dishes are tasty and offers variety. Service could be more tentative. Always great place to eat and drink.

Had a reservation booked! Staff very welcoming, our jackets were taking away which made us more comfortable with the warm welcome. Food presentation and taste on pointe. Dessert was just right; light and not too sweet! Highly recommend

No kidding, caught in a rain storm and the staff at this restaurant took us in and made my family and I feel incredibly comfortable. We had tried two other restaurants in the area, and while also busy, the others made zero effort to try and seat us. On the ground floor the young lady at the door made sure we were ok with whatever seating options she tried to make for us. Once upstairs the staff were wonderful with our young kids who were on the brink of a long tourist day meltdown, and kept the sake flowing for my wife and I to cope as well. They made thoughtful suggestions on food for the girls, made sure that equitable chocolate fish were handed out, while making sure they were smiling the whole time. Food wise, I’d say the sushi was pretty average with a few ups and downs. The sticks were great, and the desert was very good as well. The options are plentiful, and the kids bento boxes were awesome for them. Big takeaways, the staff there are amazing, the food was good. I don’t know what “atmosphere” means, but the place was clean and a normal trendy restaurant.

This is a place my parents highly recommended to me - and it did not disappoint. This was an amazing meal with a wide variety of items to get from their menu. Everything we tried was delicious.

I booked in advance but we were still being treated like a walk-in. Then we waited for a minimum of 20 min before someone took our orders. Once the food finally arrived, the "starter" was missing. The server asked for allergies when taken our order, I mentioned mine, but still was brought up a salad without any seasoning. Someone that sounded like a manager but who didn't introduced herself checked on us, making sure we were okay. Despite being a bit late for that, I appreaciated the effort. The sesame vinaigrette without garlic/onion made for me was deliciouuus even if I had to request it. Nice atmosphere but a bit noisy. Also, the toilets (ladies) were clean, I expected more than fake kinda bambou plants by the tap.

It is my fault that I didn’t do my research. This is NOT sushi. Period. We only went because nothing was around Victoria and I just trusted the google reviews. They only have salmon, cheap tuna, and shrimp. Everything is deep fried. Everything had dressing ew. Very, very expensive. The fact that we were the only Asian customers tells a lot 🤣 they also added 20% gratuity. Is this Murica?!

Omg what a lovely place :) Staff very welcoming/accommodating. Food amazing - honestly really delicious, with plenty on offer. My party of 3 left with very full bellies & smiles in our faces! We had the Carpe Diem between two people and it was PLENTY of food! We also got the special sake and that was delicious! The first part of carpe diem took the cake. The skewers had room for opportunity.

Qué experiencia maravillosa. Toallas calientes de limón caliente para limpiar nuestras patas sucias antes de que nos metimos en algunas delicias magníficamente presentadas y sabrosas. Desde deliciosos cócteles hasta un vaso de “la mejor leche que mi hijo haya probado jaja” pero no podíamos fallar nada y el personal fue encantador y servicial en darnos algunos consejos para darnos un capricho. Sin duda volvería!

Millie our Server was Thhhhheeeeee Best 😍. 1st time for my mom in London & we opted for sushi 🍣...based on our hotel 🏨 recommendation we came. However I had slowly remembered that we had gone to the same place in Denmark... It was just as wonderful as this visit and I think we indulged even More. Excellent preparation of food, exquisite presentation... simply delicious 😋 & perfect. It's one of our favorite, Regal restaurants. Thaaaaank You for another memorable experience and again our server Millie was fantastic in her recommendations and service. Best regards 💗

Surely one of the best Japanese dining experiences I ever had. The sushi was absolutely delightful, especially the salmon that they used was great. You could tell it was fresh. The ambience was quite nice as well. Might be a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth to try it. + F1 driver Fernando Alonso really likes this restaurant

First time ever going to a Sticks n Sushi, cannot fault the service - Friendly, prompt and attentive. The food was delicious too! although dishes came in random batches after ordering 1 Greenkeeper and 1 Robust. We were expecting for everything to arrive on the platters as shown in the menu. Prices for me are a bit more on the expensive side but did throughly enjoy my dining experience here and would come back to try other bits of the menu!

Cant fault their sushi. Atmosphere could improve a little as it was too dark. Its a busy restaurant so booked ahead. Prices are tiny bit on the expensive side compared to sushi quality. Service was good and hosts were polite through out our dining experience. Would go back again.

We visited on a sunny day so it was lovely to sit outside. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The set meals were just OK, the food was plentiful but a lot of it was over salted. The desserts were very good, a little bit different from other restaurants. It was a birthday outing and when the staff saw us exchange presents they brought an extra dessert with happy birthday piped in chocolate which was a kind and unexpected gesture. We felt it was quite expensive for what we had.

Absolutely love sticks n sushi, but this isn’t the best of them. It’s quite nestled away and doesn’t have nearly as good as vibe as the other sites.

Disappointing! Food was ok but service was poor, no one on the door downstairs and ignored by the bar tender so left standing there without realising we had to go upstairs. Had to ask to order everything even though it wasn’t busy. Food came so quickly it was like everything is pre prepared and they were rushing us off the table. Disappointing all round unfortunately, food was ok but for the price go elsewhere!

Another female friend and I went for dinner; we were seated downstairs, the door was open and we were cold. We asked if it was possible for it to be closed; we were told it was not. We asked for blankets ( as we knew they use them outdoors) and ate dinner wrapped up in them . As we were about to leave, a man and woman arrived and were seated at the table next to us. He popped to the bathroom. I saw she was already cold and offered her my blanket- explaining that we'd been told the door couldn't be closed. I then popped to the bathroom. On my return, the door had been closed: the man had made the request. On my direct review to SticksnSushi I gave 4 stars because of this sexism. They replied without apology- so now reviewing them here with 2 stars. I like the food here and am disappointed now to have to think very seriously about whether to ever return

Came for a bite to eat with a friend and the food was fantastic as ever. Sticks and sushi is always good. But what stood out was the service. We had Kamil and he was wonderful. Attentive but not overbearing, good at upselling but not pushy. Big fan!

I recently dined at Sticks’n’Sushi - Victoria and had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was charming, and the food was exquisite. I must give a special mention to Ivanna, who provided excellent service throughout the meal, making our dining experience truly memorable. I highly recommend Sticks’n’Sushi for anyone looking for a delightful culinary experience.

Our visit was absolutely phenomenal, the team was extremely friendly and accommodating, the food was incredible, value for money the best sushi we’ve had. The fried oysters and the yuzu cake were astonishing, would return just for them! Would highly recommend.

The ‘Perfect Day’ platter really does make for the perfect day!

Vast menu and good sushi. Chose the Perfect Day menu which was plentiful for the two of us. Disappointed with the sticks that were included, tasteless and lacked any depth of flavour. Returned these only to be informed that they wouldn’t be taken from the bill because we’d “touched them”. How any human can try and taste something without touch is beyond me. Wouldn’t go back with this level of service and lack of attention. A shame

The outside of the place is nothing special, but indoor is definitely stylish and elegant as well as clean and well organised. People seemed friendly from the moment we walked in and we were able to put our luggages in a coat room (and gave us a fish with the number to take 'em back before leaving), an amazing courtesy 😃 which not many restaurant and places offer. The menù is interesting although a bit confusing but the staff serving us at the table did a very good job in explaining and helping us with the choices, and everyone was available at all times to assist. The Perfect Day was our choice! Unfortunately, duck and coriander are not something we could eat so we had to ask to switch for something different and, when the approval/discretion of the chef was given, we were happy to be able to do switch. Definitely a very good sushi quality, however it is important to explain why 4 and not 5 stars. The rice could be improved, the tempura prawns were cold and this inside the roll was probably not freshly fried. The tobiko inside the rolls was creamy and not "bubbley", so, I the mouth you could not feel the little eggs when eating 'em. Did not enjoy the consistency. Also, the place was not easy to find as the outdoor sign is not very "catchy" but it is located very close to London Victoria Station and only 3 mins from the Bus (211, 11, 170) Stop to go to Victoria Coach Station. Nice though, I loved it! Especially with a nice glass of white wine 😋

Als Deutsche(r) ist man nach Corona leider nicht mehr den besten Service gewöhnt. Umso positiver ist die Überraschung (normalerweise schätze ich Ketten nicht) mit gutem Service und Bedienung (unaufdringlich) und natürlich leckerem Essen. Vor allem dem Lachs, à point! Wir waren vier Tage in London und zweimal dort!

Always a favorite of ours and we go there often especially to celebrate a special occasion. I was pleasantly surprised to learn on my recent visit that the whole restaurant has become dog friendly (before, was only dog friendly outside). This means we will be able to visit a lot more, and have already told our friends who are planning to visit soon. The food is always great, and the people friendly. The purple haze G&T is recommended, along with the sushi platters.
