The takoyaki was chewy and unpleasant, the hake sando bread wasn't hokkaido milk bread as advertised, I saw a review from a year ago from another customer mentioning this and the restaurant replied to say they'd get the menu changed and haven't, which is poor. The service was excellent, the lovely lady who served us and was very attentive. The rest of the food, ie. the pork ramen and salmon sushi was excellent and delicious! Overall 3/5

The food was great here, we had a lovely family meal. All food cooked in front of you. Chef put on great performance and food lived up to that too.

I visited this restaurant expecting a good dining experience, but unfortunately, I was met with an unexpected inconvenience. While the food looked nice, I was caught off guard when I was about to order and was informed that they only accept cash. What made it worse was that there were no visible signs or prior warnings about this policy. The staff handed me a menu, allowed me to get comfortable, and then, just as I was ready to order, they casually mentioned the cash-only policy. To make matters more concerning, they required payment upfront before even preparing the food, which felt a bit unusual and off-putting. Given that most places accommodate card payments, this lack of transparency seemed misleading and inconvenient for customers who might not carry cash. If you’re planning to visit, make sure to bring cash to avoid any frustration. However, I personally believe that businesses should be upfront about such policies to ensure a smoother customer experience.

excellent food, vibrant atmosphere and all cooked right in front of you. Loved this venue, the best fried rice ive ever tasted and just a great place for an evening out with my wife. Nice wines on the menu too. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing food. One of the most amazing restaurants in Shrews, they responded very quickly and I love when they kept checking if we need a water refill for our jasmine tea. Highly recommend the cow boy maki and the gyu don. Will come back every month!!

My friend told me that this is the best Japanese restaurant in Bristol and I agree! I ordered unagi don. The grilled eel was delicious with large portions and a reasonable price.
