I was delighted to find authentic Italian cuisine in Orkney! The food is delicious, fresh, and the portions are generous. Che buono! The staff is warm and welcoming and the prices are reasonable. This is the second time I have been to this restaurant and it is just as incredible as I remember from my last visit to Orkney. This is a great place for food and fellowship. I highly recommend Lucano!

Beautiful museum with outdoor area. Take plenty of time to view everything. There was now also a space for Ukraine, quite impressive and moving. Not for the young viewers.

When I travel back home, this is one of the main reasons I like coming back home, even now thinking about this I'm missing Caithness that little bit more.

Google said it was open and sign on the wall says open 7 days a week. Definitely not open on Wednesdays or Thursdays at the moment and no phone line to call and check. Such a shameas we'd driven into Aviemore especially 🙁

Hilton Chip Shop is highly regarded for it's solid customer service, excellently prerpared food which satisfies hunger and provides a quality taste that is unfortgettable. The staff are hardworking, dedicated and friendly and you are bound to expect succient credible service with a friendly smile. The shop sets itsefl apart from the comp[etetion and has soldity in it's money-for-value based pricing. Hilton Chip Shop is the best chip shop you can find in Inverness - bar none. 5 stars.

A lovely little pizza place serving thin crusted pizzas. It's mainly takeaway, but there are a few seats outside the back of the restaurant (facing the parking). Although the official timing is till 7:30 pm, the last order is at 7 pm - so make sure to come earlier. Had the Deamhan (Demon) pizza and the Vegeterian. Both were absolutely amazing. A definite place to eat while in Portree

Eating area was very cold. Diners wearing jackets. Staff were very nice. Disappointed with new dish- creamy prosecco chicken. ( very bland). Been several times but this is the first time we were disappointed .

Very disappointed! Went for pre theatre with the kids just to try the place as we’d heard good things. No greeting upon entering. Had to wait for staff to appear and once seated waited 10-15 minutes for a drinks order. Two out of the three steaks came out cooked wrong, the cauliflower soup was a blended cauliflower with no seasoning at all. In fact the only good thing was the burger. Staff were pleasant but orders kept getting messed up. There was no atmosphere and the music… well let’s just say it was not right for setting any ambience. Then they tried to charge us full price and even adults prices for the kids food. Would we go back? I’m afraid not.

Been many times here think it's a little overpriced but good portion size however today we both had the steak and mushroom pie which i must say is a favourite of ours but not today the steak was really tough couldn't eat it a wee bit of mushroom in it but a lot of celery (yuk) and carrots in the pie very disappointed left more than we ate. Sorry but £26 for 2 meals and a drink and left most of it. Did not have time to come and complain as my husband had a hospital appointment. We will be back sorry to complain.

Everything about this experience was really bad. The staff couldn't have given a toss about our business and the girl behind the bar had a laughably bad attitude. The quality of the food was awful and the pizzas were absolutely rank. Far too greasy, almost no pepperoni, not a hint of chilli flakes and they burnt the cheese to the point it should ever have been served. But they did anyway. Ingredients were all horrible and the chips were barely acceptable too. It's 10 quid for a 10in pizza but 50% more for 2 more inches. Majorly bad call for us to choose the bigger ones but that plus 2 kids meals and soft drinks came to £60. A hilarious rip off for the quality of food and awful service. The girl behind the bar actually made me angry, such was her blatant disinterest in serving. This is basically a locals pub that acts like a restaurant to cater to the tourists on the odd sunny day that we were there, where the staff clearly were wishing they'd been out enjoying. We will not be back.

We went here as we saw that it had a couple of vegan options. We both went for the tenderstem brocolli and sauted potatoes which was listed as a main for £19.50. We were dubious paying this much for just some veg but assumed they would do something fancy with it for that price but other than a nice sauce and a sprinkle of seeds it was not amazing and the portion very small. We felt a bit cheated and can't fathom why it is priced as £19.50. The waiting staff didn't ask us how our meal was and we felt to embarrassed to complain.

Ordered online from here during a work course up in Lossiemouth. Overall, fairly average. No issues with the staff, the two guys behind the counter were friendly. However, the food (in areas) let me down. My Van Gogh Pizza fell apart - to elaborate, the Cheese fell off with all the topping going with it. Ended up with Tomato based Bread and piles of topping. However, it was tasty enough and the Chips were faultless. Not the biggest fan of the Garlic & Herb Sauce unfortunately - found it quite sickly. Cost wise, it was about £17 so in the grand scheme of things, about right in comparison to other takeaways in the area.
