Tasty food but wear a jumper if visiting in spring or winter.

The food is ok. Had the garlic mushrooms for a starter than ravioli for main, they could have been bigger with more filling. The staff are lovely funny and easy on the eye.

We came here for dinner without reservation. We couldn't find a table for two anywhere without reservation. However the staff here accommodated us without any problems. We were glad as we enjoyed everything here the food was fresh and light and the service very relaxing. Also it was very affordable with good value for money. Thank you, we will return

We were up for the weekend for the Masters Cross Country in Forres and tried PT. Saturday we both had minestrone followed by pasta. It was so good we booked for Sunday - two steaks and I just had to have the minestrone again. The icing on the cake were the waiting staff: pleasant, efficient and obviously well trained.

I had risotto espagnolo, it was delicious would recommend you try, and the tiramisu was scrumptious. Friendly efficient service. Wasn’t the warmest place to sit, and on a cold winter night a bit more heat would have been good.

I phoned and ordered a takeaway .When I went to collect my order it was ready on time and still hot when I got it home. It was really nice.

Great wee place for hearty and down to earth Italian food. Very good value lunchtime deals. We enjoyed the pizza and the pasta. Good coffee. Selection of alcohol. Can get busy so booking a good idea.

We had a lovely dinner at Toscana yesterday. Cozy wee restaurant, friendly staff, tasty food with a good selection. The only reason I took a star off, the portion of pasta and starters are way too tiny.

we thought we’d try to get a takeaway delivered, as a treat, and weren’t disappointed; 20 minutes door to door, beautiful hot and fresh pizza (great base) and lovely pasta (beautiful sauce) delivered by a very nice man - only here for 3 days but will definitely book again (or maybe even sit in next time)

Took family here who were visiting & we were very disappointed. Food well below average unfortunately and not what we would expect from an Italian restaurant & more like food you’d make at home. The chicken pieces in the pasta and risotto were tiny cubes almost like they’d come from a frozen bag and tasted processed. I had a pizza and the dough was just like the pre made dough from the super market that goes a little like cardboard when you cook it. Such a shame, I’m sure this place has potential to improve.

I can make a much nicer pizza myself and the lasagne was below par too. Base was hard and the overall taste was of shop-bought pizza. Planta around the corner was far superior a few days later - I’d chosen Toscana in error, booked where I thought my friend had mentioned but turned out she meant Planta.

Good cross section of food. Very pleasant and helpful staff. You need to be hungry to justify the price - if you are, it's good value.

Accommodated without booking in advance. Table for 2. Lovely meal. Nice staff. Very reasonably priced meal and drinks. A couple of years since previous visit but still as good.

I enjoyed the food, it was fresh and tasty. I had the spinach and ricotta cannelloni.

Although this restaurant is quite small it has a lot of atmosphere, very friendly staff. Most of all the food was very good. Thank you.

Went here as a group of 9 for family get together and celebration. Food was lovely and Staff hardworking and very helpful! Will definatley be visiting again.!

This place was second to none a decade or so ago. Now it has the feel of a greasy spoon. Wipe clean table cloths and paper napkins. We all had pizzas which were very tasty and done to perfection. However, I suspect the starter prawns and chicken goujons are bought in from the supermarket and deep fried on demand. The side salad was a little sad. Rocket, Parmesan and Balsamic drizzle is more Italian than the shredded iceberg, tomato and sliced onion. All of it not bad. Adequate food on the whole. Just doesn’t feel like it has any real Italian inspiration or influence any more.

Great place to eat. Don't let the "take out" sign fool you. Dining in was fantastic. Great staff, food, and atmosphere. Just arrived in town and thoroughly enjoyed.

Trångt mellan borden, men maten var bra. Ung personal som sprang mellan borden och serverade. Lite stökigt var det också, trots att man inte spelade musik.

This is a wee gem of a place, I have eaten here several times and each time the meal has been outstanding, the staff are all very efficient and very polite with nothing being a problem for them. Their vegetarian selection is wonderful and not just your typical Mac n cheese . I look forward to visiting again in the near future, maybe a wee place but a lot of restaurants should take some lessons from this team, thank you 😊

Absolutely fantastic food. Still hot when serving at home and I live 10 miles from the restaurant.

On arrival was shown to table for one by the chef (lady) who was very helpful and friendly! She even sorted out my drink and took my order - having been before I knew what I wanted and she supported by assisting in no oil being used in the dish ! Very grateful for the help and the arrabiatta is delicious !

Toscanas is a great place to eat in Elgin! I’ve been going for years but I’ve never take the time to leave a review! I love eating out there but Toscanas is also very high on out take away list! And last night that’s just what we ordered! Always really easily to order, have delivered (always in good time), great pricing, and delicious food! Highly recommend!

Been coming here for the last three years and never took the time to place a review. Firstly, the value for the prices is outstanding. Never had a bad meal and partial to the Pollo Chasseur. Once had a steak and it was excellent. Service has typically been good and usually young waitresses of varying experience. Always found to be polite and helpful. We usually book, but on our visit last week turned up without booking. Were advised we would have the table for an hour. As usual the food didn’t disappoint. A nice Italian red wine also. Read some of the reviews, and needless to say, every restaurant has a bad day. I will be devastated when it happens to us as it is a reliable favorite. Go along and enjoy. We look forward to our next visit.

Just as well the food was good because the staff, except 1 at a push 2 were good at customer service and frankly basic manner’s . Arrived 10 minutes early for a pre arranged booking only to be told the table wasn’t ready. So we left and returned at the correct time. Obviously still an inconvenience, one staff member in particular was uninterested. Unhelpful and uninterested in her job or looking after paying customers. Thankfully the food and wine was good. Eventually waitress Natasha saved our evening . At last a smile a friendly face , professional and interested in her job she provided us with excellent customer service . A restaurant’s reputation relies on more than good food and wine. Sadly I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Haven't had a calzone in ages. It didn't disappoint.

LOOKS TIRED, TASTES GREAT! Visited here last night, 2nd evening of eating out in Elgin. No booking but accommodated without issue & the place was packed! After sitting down I was apprehensive, took a fair while to be served but the two young servers were rushed off their feet in all fairness. I went for the Bruschetta, this was lovely, toasted well, not soggy & a good mix of flavour without being to garlic lead. For main I had the Penne Mexicana, this was wonderful creamy yet spicy, plenty mushroom & chicken & again full of flavour. I am only saying 4 stars as the place is very tired & in severe need of TLC, dirty ceiling tiles etc, not unclean, just old & tired. Leaving on a positive note the food was authentic & flavoursome & defo give it a try!

Was asked to leave before I had finished as they had booked the table for someone else. When I challenged this I was hit with an aggressive response from the staff. Considering I have a disability I find this disgusting and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Poor lunchtime meal, I had the pate and when it came, it was a slither of pate which was pretty tasteless and stale bread toasted. For main I had spaghetti bolognese, well the pasta was lovely, but the sauce on the pasta was the consistency of water, there was definitely some red stuff in it, I'm not sure if it was tomatoes or what it was, it was simply tasteless, I left it nearly all and the waitress that served us never asked if everything was alright! A friend was paying or I would have really told her what I thought of it, It was disgusting.

I’ve been visiting Toscana since it opened, nearly 30 years approx. It’s always been consistently good, nothing exciting but hot tasty food with good service. Visited last night and would say first time I’ve been disappointed. We had booked, nice young girl apologised but asked if we could wait until cleared our table. I didn’t object to this but there is little space to stand, we felt in the way & oddly there was a 4 already set, I didn’t quite get it? Anyway move on, ages for drink order, starters came & it was bang average. Onto mains & 2 were ok, 2 were not great (carbonara & calzone). Waits for everything, pepper, cheese, wine etc. What has happened Toscana, never have looked at it for gourmet dining, however was always in past good food served well. Staff although individually nice are missing direct supervision & not doing jobs correctly. Such a shame as been a regular for family meals, doubt we will be returning. Elgin limited for dining so very disappointed.

Stay away from this terrible shambles of a business 2 hours late still no food no explanation not even an apology completely rude and bad attitude

Previously we couldn't get in as it was fully booked, so pleased to get a booking and a table. (It's quite small inside). There are no draught beers. We paid £1.75 for a glass of blackcurrant squash. Ordered starters and mains. Prawn cocktail (okay) and garlic mushrooms. Garlic mushrooms turned up stuffed mushrooms with pate! When I got them changed, they looked like they were the same mushrooms scraped out and stuffed with chopped garlic! Very disappointed as these were also very dry, usually swimming in garlic butter or sauce but they were wrinkled like they'd been in a microwave. The mains were delayed waiting for my mushrooms, both disappointing, small crispy, overcooked and dry seafood pizza, with plenty of seafood, but lacking flavour, most we left. My lasagne had several layers of pasta, some soggy, some hard, stuck together. it had a very thin layer of bechamel sauce and bolognaise on top. When asked if we liked it, twice, we told them what was wrong. The answer was ' will tell the chef'. No offer to change, reduce the price or even an apology. We won't return. Very disappointed.

£4!!!! FOR 2 MEASLY CHICKEN NUGGETS! What a joke, I really could NOT believe it when they gave us the plate. I was flabbergasted to say the least. The mains, adequate at best. The deserts… THEY WERE OUT OF 2 DIFFERENT ITEMS! The toilets looked straight out of shreks swamp. If you go here after reading this you are a fool at best!! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Quaint walk up restaurant. All of the food was made to order fresh. Except maybe for the lasagne bolognese with bechamel - which was awesome! That was probably made ahead. Everyone's order came out as requested, with tons of flavor. Portions filling and not overwhelming. 10/10 would recommend and would visit again.

First visit and will go back. Super food at a realistic price. Friendly staff too.

This place was a bit strange. We had difficulty getting the waiter to understand which items we were ordering, then one of them turned up wrong anyway, and the vegetarian who had ordered it swapped it with someone else's starter. Granted, one of our party turned up late, but the first hint that they were closing was that, when we tried to attract someone's attention to order coffee and pay, no one paid any notice until, eventually, some one came over and said they had stopped serving.

Hadn't been there for a long time and it was very enjoyable. Very good food and a good selection. Great service and nice staff

Sehr sehr gutes Essen! Der Mittagstisch ist auch preislich zu empfehlen. Ich hatte das mit Tomaten und Käse überbackene Knoblauchbrot, die Farfalle und ein Eis zum Nachtisch. Das Eis konnte mit Vorspeise und Hauptgang nicht mithalten, war aber trotzdem noch gut.

Guter Lunch Deal zu einem angemessenen Preis. Wir hatten die Minestrone, das Knoblauchbrot und zwei Mal Pasta. Alles war sehr lecker.

Such a friendly, busy and accommodating restaurant with the best pizza. Only here in Elgin for a few days but it's my 2nd visit. A little gem of a find.

Nice meal, but it seemed like they were under staffed, as they were rushed even with a long wait for food. .But I'd go again.

What an exceptional evening, everything was lovely & the staff was so friendly, my steak was the best I ever had n ma 2yr old grandson cleaned his plate of spaghetti bolognese & his mum n dad enjoyed their meals too. Well worth a visit again

Unfortunately I found the food very basic and bland. Not even any black pepper mills on the tables or olive oil. Having lived in Italy for a couple of months and visited many Italian restaurants in the UK, the whole experience was quite disappointing. Sorry.

I have been visiting Toscana for over 20 years now and rarely had a bad meal in that time, so I'm not on here to complain but would be interested to know what the story is with the Cannelloni? The last 3 times I've been in and tried to order Cannelloni, I've been told they only have a half portion left? Was going to enquire last night what this was all about but my daughter told me not to make a scene :) The Calzone I ordered was tasty and my daughter enjoyed here food too but, seriously, someone needs to tell me what is going on with the Cannelloni.

I've had to visit an Elgin office on a few occasions recently and used to frequent Toscana with my family during a day out as they had a great lunch menu. I decided to give it a try after my train was cancelled one night...

Foods mediocre at best. Salads aren’t even dressed. Better just staying at home ordering a pizza instead because the pizza is nothing special

What can I say about this place.... My first time here, the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The food on the other hand was mediocre so not sure I'll be going back.

So many times they just hang up on your call. Usually great food but when you can't even be arsed answering the phone then customers will go elsewhere! I prefer to shop local but again its a domino's, after many years I think we're gonna ditch toscana and their now mediocre service.

Walked passed here yesterday and decided to give it a try today. Absolutely excellent food, reasonably priced and great service. The sausage pasta (won’t even begin to pronounce it lol) was delicious. Will definitely be back next time I’m working in the area.
