Table of 8 and not a single dish was less than excellent. Starters were delicious, mains were too. Chicken tikka balti, chasni and garlic chilli were superb. Naan breads were probably the best I've had... Nice and crisp and not doughy at all. Thanks folks...

Ordered online for a cash payment pick-up expecting to get the 5% discount as they advertise online to be told it didn’t apply to online orders! So not only do you not get the 5% but you also pay a 50p service charge for the privilege of using their website! Food was average.

The best and our favourite Indian restaurant in the local area.

Wednesday Buffet night last week - 3rd July 24 - was great value no wonder the place was full! Poppadoms and chutneys. Then a full mixed starter that had pretty much one of everything you might think of. Also a delicious Peshwari Nan. Lots of main and side buffet dishes, rice and vegetables to choose from too. Couldnt resist a second helping! And finally, a cooling ice cream dessert. All for £15.95. Will definitely go again soon.

Food was OK but nowhere near as good as it used to be. It used to be served on those super hot heater plates - now it's on lukewarm plates. My dhal and sag gobi were poor but meat eaters fared better. Rice was almost cold and the "pilau" was food colouring, not spices. Tea came in a small cup with tea bag on the side. Coffee was of unknown production method but was cold. Another table sent theirs back. It was only 9.30 and we were told the place was closing soon. This used to be a good place for a feed but it's gone downhill.

We were sceptical after the poor reviews and the fact there were no reviews for 2024. We phoned our order for collection and had a friendly person taking the order. The food was ready and on time. We really enjoyed our dishes and the lamb was free from gristle and cooked to melting. Will be back.

Just got a take away for two. It’s was fantastic. Very fresh and one of the tastiest curries I’ve ever had. Excellent!

Food was excellent. The Shajon was a new twist on a dish I've tried before and the Chicken Tikka Garlic was excellent. Pilau rice and garlic naan were well prepared and presented. Poppadoms were nice and crisp with a good selection of dips. We'll definitely be going back to Cardamom Spice.

The best Indian restaurant in town, never disappointed.

Been going here for years, and the food continues to be 5 Star! The staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's truly our favourite place to go for birthday and anniversary celebrations. ❤️

We had the most amazing takeaway from here, husband said restaurant looked really nice and the service he received was good. He had tikka and I had garlic chilli chicken and both were the best curry we have had in a long time! Will definitely be having one again and will visit the restraint!

Pretty poor tbh. Ordered a take away. Mixed grill was bland and sheesh kebab dry and over cooked. Main courses were greasy. Peas rice was undercooked. Live local. Won’t use again.

Fantastic friendly great service and food

Vitiated tonight for a meal in the restaurant - normally have a takeaway. Everything about this meal was fantastic, food, service and atmosphere. The popadoms were very fresh and the source was seasoned perfectly, Starter - has two mixed kebabs: again perfectly seasoned and a pleasure to eat. The spices were not overpowering and the portion control was just right. Mains - had one chicken tikka baltic and chicken tiger khan. Ample amount of chicken and the source again was spiced just right and was very tasty. Do not have one complain with the food, just wish I could have eaten it all. Would definitely without doubt recommend this place, great for a takeaway, but much better as a restaurant.

Me and my Husband had a lovely Buffet tonight .Everything really nice from starters to main to ice cream .And such a good Value. Highly recomend anyone to try it you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to next time .We'll done !

This is the second time we've eaten here and both times have been amazing. We came back for the Lamb Tikka Shajon but it turned out to be buffet night so instead took the opportunity to try some other curries. The chicken korma, lamb balti and naga morich especially were all really flavourful and the meat was perfectly tender. At £16 it was great value for poppadoms, starters, curries, rice, veg, naan, ice cream and tea or coffee. The staff are also all friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Very pleasant meal Visited last night, in summary this was a really enjoyable dining experience. Popadoms - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellently cooked, very crispy and perfectly seasoned, ordered 2 per person and wish I ordered more. The dips were tasty, fresh and plentiful. Starters - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Onion Bhajis were well cooked with a crispy exterior. Bhajis came with a squeeze of Lemmon and side salad. Mains - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chicken Chili-Garlic was excellent. Chicken Sher Tika - felt could have done with more spice, there was too much cream in the dish and this over powered it. Sides - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chips - as expected from chips Rice - cooked well and seasoned Cheese Nam - Amazing!!! Plenty of cheese and to die for!!! Restaurant - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very clean and tidy, staff friendly and service quick. Value for Money - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ £55.00 for a meal for 2, including drinks. In summery - will definitely go back, but would chose a more spicy main dish with less cream next time.

Had a fantastic meal for two at the Cardamom restaurant last week. Had poppadoms. Mixed meat starter. And chicken tika balti with garlic and spring onion and coriander nann. The whole meal was presented very well thanks to all. Would definitely go again if in the area would totally recommend eating here fantastic meal.

We've been before , nice cosy restaurant with low lighting and helpful staff. Your ordered food comes to the table with a hotplate in the centre of the table within 10 minutes , the warmed hand wipes at the end of your meal is a nice touch.

Having visited on a previous holiday we couldn't wait to head back to Cardamon Spice and we weren't disappointed. The staff are so attentive and friendly and can't do enough for you. The food is absolutely beautiful, the chicken in the curry simply melts in the mouth and the portions are plentiful. I note some previous reviews say they thought it wasn't good value for money but I have to say our experience was that we got plenty of food for a fair price (I'd rather them up the cost a little than compromise quality). Looking forward to the next holiday so we can go again. My only wish is you would open a branch in our hometown although for the sake of my waistline it's probably best you don't.

Good choice of food , attentive and friendly staff. Tried new dish but not to my liking on this occasion . Companions enjoyed their meal though. Place was busy so that's usually a good sign of good restaurant.

Was on holiday in the area and fancied a Indian takeaway. So first of all half hour late. Chicken pakora, flavourless, you could squeeze the grease out of it. Chicken tikka flavourless, and 4 tiny bits of chicken. Onion Bhaji swimming in grease. Ordered the onion raita, literally some natural yoghurt with some rough chopped onions ran through it. Poppadoms were the only redeeming feature really, we threw 90% of what I ordered in the bin as it was so greasy and flavourless. Really not a good Indian takeaway…

One on the finest Indian meals I've ever eaten

We have ordered from here a few times and the meal has always been good, but we were sadly disappointed last night, after paying £4 for delivery, the curry sauce was missing, there was more onion than chicken tikka in the portion and the naan wasn't up to their usual standard, only positive thing I can say is the food arrived before th stated time

I enjoyed a truly delicious meal here. It was Friday night so the restaurant was bustling but the service was still wonderful. Great atmosphere, a lovely way to warm up after a cold day of exploring.

Superb meal here last night. Delicious fresh ingredients. The chicken pakora starter was especially delicious as were the onion bhajis. All the mains (Mixed Meat Korai, Chicken Tikka Balti and Prawn Tiger Khan) tasted fantastic. Have to give top marks to the service too - both the hosts and the two girls serving were polite, attentive and very professional. Now I understand why Cardamon Spice has such great reviews. 5 stars all round.

We ordered korma & tikka massala, chapathi, poppadom, onion bhaji & pilau rice to take away. £31 for two of us.I have to sy the meal was extremely bland - the sauces had no depth of flavour and their consitency was less than appetising.Avoid!

Fantastic food, cosy atmosphere, pleasant music & friendly service !

To be clear, this meal took place under CV19 restrictions. We entered and were shown immediately to our table and offered drinks. Service throughout was prompt and courteous. The starters were very enjoyable and the main courses were both very tasty and easy on the eye. The facilities were also of a high standard, both well done and immaculately clean. It was our first time using Cardamon, but we have already made plans to return.

My wife and I had one of the best Indian takeaways we have ever had last night. The menu was extensive featuring dishes with which we were not familiar as well as a large selection of the more popular meals. The service was pleasant and fast , the cartons were clearly labelled and the food excellent. My vegetable phall was the best (and hottest!) I have had in ages. Realistically priced food: this was a very good find

Booked a table at the Cardamom Spice while on holiday in Moray. We couldn't have asked for a nicer evening. The food was really excellent and very good value, with a large choice for vegetarians and vegans, and the service was excellent too. Social distancing measures made us feel very safe. Enjoyed it so much that we went back again a few days later.

My wife and I were in the area visiting family and went to this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was really very good as was the service. We really enjoyed the background music which was a ‘fusion’ of classic UK hits and Indian sitar. Would definitely go again.

We went for the buffet night. Friendly, polite staff. A nice starter followed by a decent selection of curries. 5 of us in total (with a range of food preferences) and everyone left saying they enjoyed the meal.

Popped in for a meal with work. Service was slow but then there was over 20 of us! Worth the wait though, food was delicious and I even got a free mint after! Will definitely go back soon.

Lovely food, good price, great service

A miserable Monday evening and early for a meeting I chanced upon this warm oasis. Very comfortable seating, attentive staff and a very extensive menu choice. I’m not too knowledgeable about Indian food, but the mixed pakora starter was nice but a little greasy. The tasty chicken biryani main course came with a large vegetarian curry side dish. Really generous portions and very good value. I would definitely come back and if I lived locally I would be a regular.

Went for a friends party food was excellent really enjoyed it. I will be back one of the best Indians about.

On a very rare occasion that family were able to babysit, we really enjoyed an evening walk and dropped in to Cardamom Spice for a meal. Great welcome, service and food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend it if you are in the area.

The restaurant was quiet when I arrived but both staff were very attentive and polite. Service was quick and efficient. The King Prawn Puri was beautiful and packed full of prawns so excellent value. It was fresh and very tasty. I had a mixed grill for main meal and it was superb. The lamb and chicken were both succulent and full of flavour. The kebab was very tasty. I'm not often round these parts but when I am I'll be straight back here.

Ordered a takeaway for 6 on a Saturday night around 8pm. The lady who took my order couldn’t have been more polite. The order took about half an hour (we only live a couple of miles away). The guy that delivered it looked like he worked in the restaurant and was really polite. The food was great, there wasn’t much left after we were finished, which is always a good sign. Will definitely order from them again!

Decided we both fancied a curry, so came here without prior booking, we where seated quickly.

Booked for a group of 6 . The restaurant was busy but service was very good. We all had different main courses and starters during to the excellent choice. All our food arrived together and there was a good interval between courses. All our group enjoyed the food . Cardamom Spice also provides an excellent take out menu and the food can be ordered online and delivered .

A good indian restaurant in Forres

For a small village it's lucky there's even an Indian takeaway at all - even better when it's tasty! Massive portions, well flavoured and pleasant staff. Can't complain at all.

We arrived when they had just opened, so we were the only customer. We ordered a starter and four mains. Despite this, the waiting time was frustratingly long. When the food arrived, it was very delicious. Improvement area is better and quicker service. If they would speed up this place could have potential.

Was in the area for a week and had a couple of takeaways over different nights Sunday and Wednesday and both were fantastic. We collected one and had the other delivered and both were as we ordered and the food high quality. We will be back when next in the area.

I have been a regular local customer on and off for a couple of years, and I don't know what's gone wrong, but the last 2 take aways delivered to me (this week), are really disappointing.

Very good food on this visit the service was a bit slow but it was New Year’s Eve so it was very busy
