Visited for my birthday dinner with no booking. A Monday night. There was 1 table available at the back. We settled down & ordered our food. Before the food came out we were offered a table by the window that had become available with more space. Our meal was fantastic & more than we could eat. Richard & the staff did us proud. Didnt know it was a birtday meal. Thank you. We will definately be back.

Absolute Rubbish. Don’t waste your money. Waited an hour and a half for our food. When it finally arrived my steak was an ice cold hockey puck. The garlic butter sauce was even colder. I asked if it could be heated up, they took it to the kitchen for 30 seconds, brought it back with fresh chips just as cold as before. Waitstaff inept. Eat at one of the local hotels, better than any of the restaurants we went to in town.

We had a very enjoyable meal on a Friday evening, with enthusiastic and attentive service from the staff, particularly Csaba. The short rib burger and Barbary duck were lovely and the creme brûlée gorgeous. Recommend this pleasant riverside restaurant.

Vinimos en un evento dominical con una fiesta de 10 . El restaurante no estaba totalmente reservado y había suficiente personal. Aun así nos dejaron esperar con bebidas y teníamos bebidas y comida en la factura que nunca llegó a nuestra mesa. Pidiendo corrección el personal no estaba contento y reaccionó estresado y nos hizo sentir como si fuera nuestra culpa. La comida era sabrosa, sin embargo, no hay quejas.

Very disappointed! Went for pre theatre with the kids just to try the place as we’d heard good things. No greeting upon entering. Had to wait for staff to appear and once seated waited 10-15 minutes for a drinks order. Two out of the three steaks came out cooked wrong, the cauliflower soup was a blended cauliflower with no seasoning at all. In fact the only good thing was the burger. Staff were pleasant but orders kept getting messed up. There was no atmosphere and the music… well let’s just say it was not right for setting any ambience. Then they tried to charge us full price and even adults prices for the kids food. Would we go back? I’m afraid not.

We managed to get a table last minute on the high table which I really like now. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially Richard. The food was excellent we both had fillet steaks and I had the sticky toffee pudding would definitely recommend

food is very good but they love using those silly pink peppercorns way too much. sure they are good but it is just overused.

Absolute rubbish Starters arrived wrong starter was served no proper apology - husband ate his and I had to wait 10 mins for mine to be cooked which is hardly a great thing! But ok accidents happen. Starter arrives and has obviously been so rushed it’s burned and the cranberries and figs on the camembert resemble charred crispy items with no distinguishable colour. Next the £35 Sirloin steaks 🥩 arrive now you’d expect a fair steak for £35 No! …. These were supposed to be blue rare and medium (they served the wrong ones so the Blue one is served to my husband and he’s takes two bites before saying this is quite rare equally i’ve cut into his. So we have to swap our semi eaten steaks over again not what you’d expect. Could anything else go wrong !!!!… you’d think not But ….Yes the wrongly served steaks were actually virtually inedible and full of fat £35 steak that is Absolutely Diabolical would not entertain this place ever again complete rubbish no decent service overpriced poor quality food

Very welcoming waiter showed us to our table . Nice warm atmosphere. Isle of lewis mussels tho very small were very fresh and served in a fabulous interesting broth . Two of us ordered the burger with smashed avocado on top,very tasty but couldn't eat the bun it was served on as soggy underneath due to other filling. The lamb shank was excellent apparently.Good selection of wine. The young waitress who looked after our table was excellent , it was her first night back after having time off ,she was very attentive and patient with us but not overbearing.

Been here a few times and always good food, booked for 3.30 today, we were a bit early but we had a nice welcome from aloysius who was our waiter, my husband and myself both had the delicious mussels and then I had the chicken supreme which was lovely my husband had a ribeye steak with fries and salad followed by sticky toffee pudding! Ya había dejado una crítica muy positiva en 2018, pero tuvimos una noche aún más increíble esta semana. La primera vez que llegamos a la flor de la vida el día después de nuestra boda, entonces volvimos en 2019 para celebrar nuestro aniversario. Cada vez, ya sea la comida o el servicio, todo era muy bueno. Pero para nuestro sexto cumpleaños tuvimos la suerte de ser mimados por Laura y Csaba. Una vez más, la carne (tuvimos el chateaubriand) y el vino (recomiendo el primitivo) fueron magníficos, pero entre sus atenciones y su amabilidad, estas dos hermosas personas hicieron esta noche aún más inolvidable ❤️❤️❤️ Nos vemos el año que viene ✌️😎

We were a party of 7 looking last minute for a meal before the theatre. The lovely host fitted us in and we all had a really delicious meal which was beautifully presented. Warm and cosy atmosphere with excellent food and staff.

We went to this as an unplanned meal out. There was no seating inside but even outside in the showers we were under over and warm. The hospitality was amazing with everyone who served us being positive and helpful. Special mention to Dani who was a brilliant server and made sure we didn't want for anything. Recommend the lamb and the bass.

The food was excellent. We enjoyed the seafood platter, Sirloin Steak, and risotto. Our server, Dani, was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Have been here a few times with friends and family and have always had a good experience. I was here on Friday with my friend and can’t fault the staff at all, especially the girl who was just on her 2nd shift in Prime who we both thought was doing great! She was so friendly and attentive. I have a lactose intolerance and she was great, nothing was too much at all. Really rate this place.

Like others, saw this restaurant from across the river and thought it would be a nice high end treat for our family. The appetizer were good. The steaks and the lobster were not. We would have sent them back but our server never came back. The steaks were well done, very overcooked, and the lobster was mushy. We were there 2 hours and twenty minutes and came at 5:00 when they opened with a reservation. Server was nice but sooo slow. We saw many meals sent back to the kitchen so I guess there are problems here. Our bill was over 220 pounds and we only had one drink. Outrageous for the poor quality. We paid our bill and we’re happy to leave. Don’t go here

Wonderful steaks, and the rest of the menu is excellent too. Very difficult to choose. The skink (fish stew) was delish.

Seen this restaurant from the other side of the river and thought it looked quite high end. Booked a table and was really impressed with how the food looked. Starter of risotto was nice however, for a steak and seafood restaurant, my rib eye steak with peppercorn sauce, which I ordered as medium, came out well done. This was changed and a fresh steak was brought out, this time with a different sauce than what I had ordered. Cutting into the new steak initially look much better, however, after eating the majority of my second steak, I got to a section that was very rare. Overall the steak was chewy and not very flavoursome (which is what you usually get with rib eye). The sweet potato and feta fries were nice. The steak cost £34 so I expected much better quality than what I received and genuinely could have cooked a better one myself from a local butchers. If you go here don’t expect the quality of food to match the price you pay for it. Additionally, for the 2 mistakes made, there was not even an offer of a compensation. Not that I was looking for a 10% discount or anything, I think just more the fact that nothing was offered by the staff who really couldn’t have been less interested. Happily paid my bill and left but wouldn’t go back.

Superb lunch at Prime Inverness…. I had mussels with an amazing harissa and Tabasco sauce, strange combination but it definitely worked and my wife had Halloumi salad… Merlot and Pinot to wash down … great outside space on the riverside and fantastic Caitlin on front of house … 100% recommend and will be back

Zum Glück war das geplante Restaurant ausgebucht und wir haben hier zufällig einen Tisch bekommen. Das Essen war ganz ausgezeichnet, der Service sehr gut und so haben wir einen tollen Abend im schönen Ambiente genießen können! Immer gerne wieder :-)

I had dinner here on my last night in Inverness. I was treated so well, I firstly given a high stool by a high bench, I did say I was wasn’t happy sitting there, but they were very busy, but said they would move me if they can. I was just ordering my wine and a very nice lady came to move me on a table and chair. I was very comfortable there. Had a wonderful meal and felt very well fed and watered. An excellent meal

We stopped by for a lunch with my family and it was a great choice for us. Our waiter, Nikki, was very attentive and kind, and the food that we had, soups for starters, flat iron steak and monkfish cheeks were delicious. You can tell that kitchen team really works hard to deliver a quality food to guests at Prime. Overall, I would recommend it as it's a perfect blend of quality food, service and affordable prices.

We had the Sunday roast. We have worked and lived in England for many years. This is by far best roast beef, and Yorkshire pudding we have ever had. The vegetables with them were perfect. The wait stuff was outstanding. I highly recommend this place.
