tasty food but quite expensive

Ordered at half 5, called the restaurant at 7, no order. Called me back to say the delivery driver was a no show and I had to come down and collect it. Then the delivery driver called he was on his way. Food was not great and barely existent. Will not order from there again

Myself and my son have been coming to Zizzi for dinner for quite some time now and we have always had a nice time. Staff is friendly and polite, food is great and music is at the right volume to carry a conversation. Love the special deals I receive from Zizzi by email as well.

£45 per person including drinks. Good views over the river, (- when it's light !)

Clearly internationalized Italian food, but of excellent quality and with refined raw materials. Pasquale made everything more pleasant and made us feel at home.

We dined at Zizzi multiple evenings during our stay in Inverness. After a long day of walking in the cold, the warm atmosphere and comforting, hearty Italian food was most welcome. We enjoyed everything we ordered and had a great view of the Ness River as well. Definitely a solid choice when you're not in the mood for standard pub fare.

Meals were tepid, dry and chewy. The pasta had clearly been microwaved. I wouldn’t be able to recommend and wouldn’t order again. May be a nice meal in the restaurant, but doesn’t work as a take away.

Great evenings meal at Zizi’s in Inverness tonight. It’s one of our favourite places. The service was, as ever excellent with a special mention for Magda who was particularly good.

Small portions, Pizza Express definitely tastier, long waiting times and pretty bog standard. Fine once you get served.

Great food, and really accommodating host, fitting me in when they were really full and I didnt have a booking

food was mediocre at best, very expensive for the portion size, place was over crowed, music was too loud, and did accept vouchers

Pasqualino was very attentive and friendly, an asset to this business. All the staff were accommodating. The food came out really quick, even though they were quite busy at the time. My only criticism would be that the Campagna pizza was a bit bland and under seasoned, but a bit of salt and pepper and a drizzle of chilli oil made a world of difference. In all a great dining experience

Received a freebie garlic bread for doing some work at zizzi, the nicest garlic bread I’ve ever had (not because it was free) Watched the pizza chefs make it from scratch. It was so tasty and absolutely drowning in garlic butter - just how I like it! The staff there are really friendly and pasquale the manager is the nicest guy! In all fairness every meal that went passed us to a table looked brilliant and smelt amazing! I Need to do more work here haha!

Good restaurant with good food, and most of all, with a good service by Philip! The gentleman who serve us it is very friendly and attentive

Visitamos dos veces, jueves y sábado. En nuestra primera visita, explicamos que teníamos mucho frío después de un viaje en tren muy frío y nos encontraron un asiento frente a los hornos de pizza para un poco de calor. Segunda visita, restaurante muy ocupado, pero solo esperamos minutos antes de ser mostrado a una mesa. En ambas ocasiones, el personal amable y buena comida. No podía desear más.

Spent £60 so was extremely disappointed when 2 completely different pasta dishes arrived with zero flavour. A chicken harissa pasta and the king prawn peccanti, the Prawns were nice but both pastas didn't taste of anything. Such a shame as we usually receive good quality sitting in the restaurant. I doubt I'll order again

Allergies are requested upon arrival and there is a wide range of gluten-free options. The staff is well informed, friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and the atmosphere invites you to linger.

Always been a Zizzi fan and this restaurant just sums up why. Attentive service greatly improved menu, amazing friendly staff. This is how a restaurant should be.

Our visit turned out to be a total disappointment. We had a lasagna and a spaghetti. Both dishes were small, but expensive. (£24 p.p. for a main and a drink) Adding to that, the quality of the food was mediocre. It arrived within 5 minutes of us ordering, raising questions whether it had just been standing there waiting. Our server had, after initially forgetting that we asked for the bill, the audacity to ask for a tip, instead of asking how we felt about our meal.

Expensive food for what it is. Staff were friendly but we had to ask for salt and pepper! There wasn’t any on any of the tables. We also saw other tables being offered parmesan cheese but we didn’t get any. Toilets need a good clean and refurbishment. We left feeling a bit disappointed.

Very nice experience in this restaurant that we recommend, the pizzas are huge. The wine was very good, we highly recommend it.

Restaurant is run down and the toilets should be ripped out asap - disgusting! However the pizza was tasty, perhaps we should have ordered carry out.

Delivered the wrong order and was offered no compensation

We placed our order at 17:30 for the latest delivery time to be 18:30 on the app and the order did not arrive until 20:10 which is ridiculous to wait nearly 3 hours for an order. The food was cold and our garlic bread in what we ordered had gone hard due to this. We phoned the restaurant and they said they had our order ready at 19:10. The driver was an hour late in delivering it and was unapologetic of the situation. We were very shocked and appalled at the service we received.

This is my go to for reliable food and service in central Inverness at a moderate price....it's not gourmet, but solid food, well done, served promptly and by pleasant friendly staff.....dependable has a place!!!

Popped in for a pre theatre meal which helped start the evening with a bang. Staff very tentative and kind.

We ordered takeaway 2 pizzas and a plain salad. The pizzas were terrible and we were very disappointed. The pizza which should have been prashutto was plain salami, little cheese, dry, no sauce, thin dough, and dry as a breadcrumb. I don't know if the food is better in the restaurant but the takeaway was awful.

16.95 for a tiny cold pizza won't order from hear again

Este solía ser un gran restaurante, consistentemente buena comida y servicio. No más. Visitamos temprano por la noche. Muy decepcionado con la calidad de la comida y el servicio. Las instalaciones son de aspecto muy cansado y se necesita una renovación. El personal aparte de uno que suponemos que era el gerente estaba desinteresado. Ambos baños tenían problemas. Los machos tenían un grifo que no paraba y las hembras exactamente lo contrario. Reportado al personal que dijo que lo sabemos. No es lo suficientemente bueno especialmente para las clientas por higiene.

We have been eating in Zizzi for years, but the past few meals have been disappointing. Our most recent meal was the worst - the pizza's, lasagne and starters were all very bland, and overpriced. We won't be returning. Service is efficient and pleasant.

An awful service even if we booked a table, they welcome you like you’re trash. Sticky table, and a cashless restaurant. Hopefully the salad we took was not miserable even with the hardest avocado we never eat! What a shame, zizzi restaurant are better in another cities

My order never arrived and no one phoned me apart from initially where I discovered they were at the wrong location, which was only 1 minute walk from my current location.

Cozy place. We ordered a starter to share (pork & garlic balls), very delicious. But what we liked the most was the pizza (rustic sticky pig), it was delicious. Furthermore, Pascual has been very attentive to us. We highly recommend this site!!

The meet and greet was fabulous, food selection is great, especially for a gluten free person like myself. Service from start to finish is great.

We went to this restaurant because it had a very good atmosphere. Pascual, the owner, is very friendly and all the waiters were very friendly and served us very well and very quickly. The pizzas were delicious. A highly recommended place to go for lunch or dinner.

A reservation was made at the restaurant, and one of the employees received us very warmly. He was very nice. We ordered pizza, spaghetti, and salad, but the food was very late. When ordering a specific type of dessert, we asked the specialized employee, “Is there alcohol in this dish?” She answered very rudely, “Do you want me to tell you the full recipe? This is forbidden.” I told her my question is clear: I don't want the ingredients, just do they contain alcohol? She responded nervously: You should ask for what is available without asking. The employee, Sofia, was rude and nervous. In general, even the food was good, not excellent. And I will not return to a restaurant where I felt insulted.

They told us to wait 5 minutes, but she welcomed other customers who arrived after us because we are asian?

Food was fine, server was capable. Our reception was atrocious- the man who met us at the door was rude and condescending. We stopped around 2pm on a Saturday to have drinks and sharing platters; he was rude at introduction and even more rude at departure. We will not recommend this place.

We chose Zizzi for a quick lunch, the service was very attentive and helpful, in particular Pasquale was really kind. Good pizza but watch out for the chicken on the margherita 😅

I happened to be eating at Zizzi's by chance and Pasquale, the owner, immediately welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home. Very quiet and intimate environment, simple but really good dishes. Highly recommended!

Nice food. Service started off okay and quite smoothly but when you wanted the bill they were nowhere to be seen. I asked for the bill and three other guests were helped before she came back. Shame. The menu had things that weren't there yet, a bit disappointing

Despite booking a table, we were informed it would be a 30-45 minute wait, so we left. Why bother with a restaurant which doesn't stick to booking times? If their customers were 30 minutes late, would they hold the table...

Every place in the region could only get with reservation. Zizzi took us in without reservation and amazed us with their excellent food and service. A must go in Inverness if you’re looking for Italian food.

Very average food and underwhelming service. Our drinks (two cokes and a jug of tap water) still hadn't arrived by the time our food had and we eventually had to ask a member of staff to bring them over. We also found it a bit odd and quite frustrating that we had to order via the app (which didn't even work initially!) because of a gluten intolerance.

Excellent restaurant with a great river view. Even though it was full of people, we were quickly served. All the dishes were very tasty and the portions were ok. I would prefer it again.

Hot and very bright as usual in the window. Reliable good meal. Tasty pizza and drinks. I'd give 5 stars if just a little more attentive, cleaner, faster and better air con. Tables are also painfully close to one another.

This restaurant has a nice view of the river and buildings across the other side. The service is fine, but the spaghetti noodles were on my table 3 minutes after the order went into the chef. And the noodles were overdone. We know why that happens and it’s not really a good way to serve Italian spaghetti. This is a tourist spot and so the prices are very high.

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Melt in your mouth tiramisu. Bustling and busy. Lively atmosphere. Excellent service.

Starting from the assumption that eating Italian abroad is never a great choice both for the quality and for the prices which are dizzying, this place knows how to have its say. The lasagna wasn't bad at all!

Great Gluten Free options, I particularly enjoy the GF Pinoli pizza. Worth booking ahead as usually busy at dinner time.

We had a spotty time trying to find dinner in Inverness. The quality restaurants required a reservation and the ones you could walk into typically served hamburgers and beer or some type of fast food; not our style. Pizza, however, is always a safe choice. Zizzi is not a chain I am familiar with but the restaurant is well situated in the small city at the corner of the Bridge Ness and at the foot of the Castle (which was sadly closed for renovation during our visit). The thin crust pizza was just the treat we craved after a chilly day on Loch Ness. We also enjoyed the black current cheese cake over macchiatos. The staff was friendly and efficient despite the high pace and turnover. We enjoyed it enough we repeated it on our final night.

It is a good restaurant for pizza. No expensive. Quality pasta. Very good location

Everytime i order from here i end up with the wrong items 🤣 a shame cause they have some nice food but honestly a waste of money when I don’t receive the right food and receive no refund
