The best restaurants serving Italian food in West Lothian Edinburgh and Lothian

Had a lovely meal here today, my pasta was delicious, lovely & hot, perfect & friends stroganoff was too. Will be back for sure!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gianinnos. From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic meal. We all enjoyed the tasty food and excellent friendly service.

The food is severely overpriced for what it is. Waited 2 hours for your food to come out, very disappointed. Apparently the chef didn’t turn up…

Food and service first class. Only down side is that we came in and wasn't italian music, (was like the waiters had their own playlist on) had to suggest frank sinatra. Ended up with his Xmas songs. Would definitely go again but needs better atmosphere.

It's one of the best places with delicious food!

Ordered the veal, am 99% sure it was pork. We won’t be going back. This place is probably “quite good” for the area but in the grand scheme of things it was disappointing. The staff were friendly but quite inexperienced and needed some coaching. For the price we paid (£60 per head) we could have had much better.

Ordered a pizza 🍕 1st class base was excellent nice thin and crispy barbecue chicken was really tasty and lots of chicken establishment was very clean and tidy just what you like to see will definitely be back regularly!!

Excellent Italian restaurant and great staff

Placed order online just before half past 7 on a Friday evening. Once I had placed and paid for the 2 pizzas, I was informed that it would not be delivered until 9.15! I would never have placed the order if we had been advised before paying for it that it would be that long. In fact, the order did not actually arrive until 9.35 - over two hours for a delivery of 2 pizzas! To add insult to injury, the pizzas were cold and one did not even have all of the ingredients which were on the order! Very poor. It will be a very long time before I try using them again and would be reluctant to recommend them based on this latest order. I would have preferred to provide the feedback directly to Nero themselves but unfortunately their app does not facilitate this!

We were catered for most sympathetically during a major power cut, even charging my phone. Delightful, friendly staff, and excellent food.

My partner and I came in for a spontaneous dinner date out and decided to go here. All I can say is that we will definitely be coming back. The service and food was 10/10 and I cannot recommend this place enough. Our food and drinks came fast and the quality of the food was just amazing! Our host (didn’t get his name unfortunately) and all other members of staff checked on us throughout our time and didn’t hesitate to help us with anything. Can’t wait to dine here again!

We would like to support a local business , but sadly we decided not to return here. Lovely staff, but the food is hit and miss, we each had 3 courses, out of the 6 dishes one was fantastic ( though not very hot, and served on a cold plate). The others were either OK or quite bad . The Haggis starter was a bit tastless, and a steak, ordered medium rare was rare, almost blue. The staff are lovely, but there is no atmosphere, its brightly lit and was so very cold many diners had their coats on. The overall feel is of eating in an upmarket converted office. Its so tough running a restaurant, maybe a smaller menu, and a bit spent on styling it and creating sections would help the place feel more intimate.

Ordered a latte, flat white and cappuccino- all served in same cups and all tasted the same Cheesecake bland and not worth the money No breakfasts available at noon No rush to go back

First time dining here, most definitely not my last . Absolutely delicious food and excellent service

Ordered a kebab with salad and sauce separately which I had to pay extra...no sauce with the order. Phoned to let the know and they are not interested in delivering it to me .
