Worst take away in Bathgate always waiting ages, ordered last week waiting 2.5 hours and then phoned and they told me the delivery drivers on route to me then waited another half hour the place shut and phoned the next day for them to say I’m getting a refund, week later phoned them there acting All stupid

Always great and I get my gluten free meal here .

Ordered 30+ minutes ago over a phone for collection. Came to a shop for them to just start making it. It is not busy or anything, pretty disappointed, shouldn't take 40+ minutes to make 2 pizzas.

Ordered from here and it took 2 hours to get out food. It was terrible. Cold. And over priced. Used to be very good. Clearly they have given up.

Been here a fair few times but tonight the scran absolutely hit the spot so thought it was time for a 5 star review. Fluffy dough, stringy mozzarella and overall nicely cooked and really tasty pizza. Superb.

Place really went down hill, first time I had it, it was very good. 2nd time meh, third time just bad, outright bad. Haven't been back since, don't think I will either

absolutely disgusting service from the chef, when the bag with food been delivered, box at the bottom with polo funghi crema has spilled out made a mess, now the chef wants me to take the mess out of my rubbish bin so he can do his “investigation” hahaha. After a while chef offered a new portion but after raising his voice i refused. NOT going to order ever again.

Well came outwith Bathgate for this carbonara soooo disappointed soooo bland. Called to complain was basically told not bland i repeated it was and was basically told sorry no offer of replacement nt etc sooo disappointed wont be bk

Just like the restaurant on taste and can tell It was freshly made ingredients with pizzas and breads also pasta . Also it was my first time and not last !! Credits when it's due cause there hard work never changes. :))

Pizza and pasta are excellent last few orders. Pizza dough is probably best in town and quality is high. Last night's order unfortunately 1h 15 mins late, that's on top of the 1h wait. Food was good though. We have had a few deliveries and picked up a few orders and always a wait. Sort this and it would be 5 stars from me.

Food and service is unbelievable, forgot my juice as they were very busy (I know the stress I work in food service too) and the driver actually went out his way to go and get me juice from the shop even though I said it was cool. Hangover is cured and my week has been made! Ordered the garlic bread with cheese and Tagliatelle liberta, will definitely be ordering again😅

The food is very tasty and good looking. It reminded me of the time when I lived in Italy and Giovanna, my friend, cooked me various Italian dishes. I will definitely order from here another time. Fantastic pizzas, usually go fir the pepperoni and tagliatelle half n half. Delicious.

Don't know what folk mean lasagne being the worst best takeaway I've ever had absolutely delicious. Currently ordering right now just thinking about it! And it might take longer during delivery but you can't rush perfection!

The food is good, but the service is terrible, if you phone to collect, I recommend you wait an hour before you leave, as it’s never ever ready when they say it will be. The delivery is possibly worse, you can be told half an hour and the food can take up to two hours to arrive, really annoying as the food is decent

Food is really good. However the timings you give on the website are way out. Never once have we had an order arrive on the time you state. .

Just had a delivery and have to say the Pasta Al Forno is the best I’ve ever had, meatballs just melt in your mouth would highly recommend

The food is lovely. But if your going to take 35/40 minutes that's fine, but don't say it will be 20 minutes every time we phone we get the same time frame and it's always longer

Called the restaurant to ask about dietary options but the gentleman that answered the call seemed totally uninterested and really could not be bothered actually came across rude, small town attitude is so old hat think you may wish to up the customer service training with your staff, or maybe your happy with the small town attitude, bad staff attitude normally reflects the owners attitude

Really good local pizza, probably best in bathgate. Only issue is parking not great but nothing you can blame Liberya Takeaway for mind!

So tonight I had 2 pasta dishes and I was very disappointed. One was spaghetti with meatballs which was £10. it was bland and I would of been better just buying a fresh sauce from Tesco’s. the second was tomato sauce with pea and bacon. 1st the bacon was disgusting and badly cooked and the pea’s where cold. A waste of money tonight.

Ordered carbonara tonight - was so bland and bacon was horrible. We also had garlic bread but its a shameabout the rest. We were offered another meal but was completly put off after the first. Won't order from again.

Food is lovely at restauraunt was really keen to try the takeaway as the appeal of the tradition wood oven was making my mouth water but after half hour of trying to place an order i gave up shame it wasnt made easier, guys honestly scoffable or just eat you will get far

So this place has been taking over by some local Italian restaurant. My experience of the last owners were that the Italian guy / English lady who ran the place were passionate about quality food not frozen chicken etc (which is much more tasty but much more expensive) So anyway I give this place a really good chance thinking / hoping that they would continue the quality . No so much. The food was very salty . I would rather pay more for quality and not have to drink 2 litres of water at night after my pizza.

Been twice now and it’s one of the few Italian takeaways which makes you feel you are in a restaurant at your kitchen table ... the pizzas could compete with the best posh restaurants and I just love the penne amatricano !

Ordered for a home delivery a few times now. Service is prompt and courteous. And most importantly, the pizzas are delicious. Lovely crispy base and tasty toppings. Best in town.

Absolutely superb Pizza and made/ cooked traditional style and tastes amazing!

After having had a bad experience across the road at another chippy this guy turned it all around. Made a lovely meal for us, had to wait a few minutes as it was made fresh. Lovely food, great service, reasonable pricing and a spotless venue. Very happy customer here. Will definitely be back. :)

Wood fired pizza at reasonable prices. Various pizzas and make your own available. We liked the 12” pizza and the wood fired oven makes the pizza dough very tasty.

Great pizza traditionally woodfired and with a traditional taste. Have to admit the Calzone was packed corner to corner with meat - chicken ham salami etc really nice and huge!! Too much for me to eat solo. Service was fast and pleasant. Prices reasonable would certainly beat Dominoes for taste, Best pizza in town? - certainly running Michaels across the road close.

Waited over an hour, delivery arrived finally - brushetta was burnt - shortchanged by delivery driver 19 pound, phoned back to advise store and was told they were coming back with the money, walked up to the shop as they were closing to leave and retrieved our cash! Customer service and food a total let down ! Will not be back

Authentic and extremely tasty pizza. We ordered the Hawaiian and Diaviola style pizzas and were really impressed. Shame this place is just a takeaway!!

Phoned for a delivery for a 12" pizza costing £6, the woman told me id need to pay another £9 for local delivery as minimum spend is £15, joke of a place, wont be back, good luck getting customers who are daft enough to take your "free delivery" deal.

Pedí en línea para entrega y llegó en muy buen momento, sin embargo, lo que llegó fue una serie de decepciones. Yo esperaba una pizza de salchicha italiana, cubiertas con peperoni, pollo y pancetta. Lo que me dieron fue una pasada base barata, menor calidad de los ingredientes, y mal cocinadas juntas sin ninguna atención. Las patatas fritas eran baratos fichas paprika experimentados que parecía congelado por el polvo rojo de la vergüenza. Finalmente el cannoli (suspiro! Fresco), claramente hace algunos meses; salido de un congelador, pasada pero al menos totalmente dificultarse. Crédito donde el crédito es debido.

Estas personas producen las mejores pizzas en Bathgate y alrededores de la ciudad para 50 millas fácil. Están en tentativos y nada es demasiado 1 clase street en servicio de compras, servicio de entrega de 1 clase street, y pizzas de clase mundial 😃 👌

Best Pizza I have ever had from a Takeaway. Fantastic thin base with all the ingredients are tasty and fresh. I also love there paprika chips very tasty. I use this place few times a month and is place of choice if you want a really tasty pizza. It is way better than any pizza chains.

Best pizza in town, fresh and cook in fire oven. Nice staff as well and reasonably price. Kids pizza are very big and in a nice fish shape :)

Decided on takeaway pizza was terrific just how I like a pizza the base was amazing cooked in open fire the toppings were fresh and you could have whatever you wanted well recommended

Had a meal from here recently for a number of family members. Lots of different dishes chosen but all were very good. Prices not ridiculous either. This happened after local homes were flooded by a burst pipe and residents had to leave their homes. L'Italiano offered cut price meals for those affected. A very nice gesture showing real community spirit. Well done.

We have been visiting this establishment for many months and were delighted to find Arancini on the specials board last Friday. If you have never had these Sicilian treats this is a great place to try them as truly authentic and very tasty!!

Awful pizzas, low quality toppings, cheese was like rubber, chewy and hard more than likely value branded supermarket ingredients are being used.Avoid at all costs.

I have tried all other pizza shops and stumbled over this one a number of months ago and have used and will continue to use it. These pizza are cooked using the open oven made the traditional Italian way. There is a menu for all their pizza's and they do other dishes as well these are all cooked fresh.

Italian run business serving wood-fired pizzas. Very clean establishment where you can watch the chef prepare your food. The couple who run this are very friendly and offer some fantastic deals. Will never have a supermarket pizza again!! A real gem

We ate here for my nephew's birthday(who is Italian) there were 5 of us and we all said that we enjoyed the meal. The atmosphere was very good and the service excellent we will definitely be back.

I couldn't be bothered cooking so I popped in to get some grub. As always met with a friendly welcome.The pizza was great as always but the lasagne was absolutely outstanding.

I stumbled across this place, quite by accident. I've lived here for years, so I was surprised I hadn't noticed or heard about it.A lot of people think "The Amazing Pizza Company" is still there. I'd never tried it, but most people I recommend L'italiano to, say they didn't like it, meaning the previous restaurant!!It's a shame more people don't realise it's there. It's at the main crossroads in the town centre, so there should be lots of passing trade. It's unfortunate, there is no parking, there. For some reason people, me included, tend to stay on the other side of the road, meaning two of the most artisan businesses in the town go, almost, unnoticed.On my first visit, I was impressed to see a proper brick, wood fired oven.The owner is incredibly friendly and chatty. He's from Sicily, and he worked in a couple of Edinburgh's better Italian restaurants, where he most definitely perfected his style.The menu isn't extensive, but everything is made to order, as you watch, with the freshest, good quality ingredients.The time spent waiting on an order means the chef/ owner has time to chat. As has been noticed he is indeed very friendly, his English is excellent, and he seems genuinely interested in people, and the town. During conversation, he established that I was in the Navy, this, to him, was something he clearly could've talked about all night.I initially had a Mushroom Bruschetta, which is made on a traditional pizza base, the way it's served in many areas of Italy. The taste sensation was mouth watering.I love authentic pizza, therefore rarely order them, as so many places have adopted the US, mass market, generic bland doughy, example.I therefore asked for a pasta carbonara; once again, I watched it being made, and it was as authentic as we'd expect from a Sicillian. It was nothing like the soggy pasta and processed cheese sauce that so often arrives when carbonara is ordered.I thought the portion looked like it would be too much for one person.....I was wrong I ate the lot. I was hands down the best I've ever had.When my meal was cooked, and I was going to pay, the owner came round to the customer side of the counter and said, that he had so much respect for the Navy that he had to give me a discount, and to shake my hand. I thought this was just general banter, and he was being the stereotypical "Italian waiter", flattering female customers. He was, to my embarrassment true to his word. He gave me a very generous discount, and opened the door for me as I left. I, obviously do the job because I love it, and it's been my lifelong ambition, I don't think that makes me worthy of discounts, hand shakes, and doors being held open. It was, however, very nice to come away from a takeaway shop, feeling so upbeat.The fact the meal would satisfy the most Epicurean of palates, was an added bonus.I can't recommend this place highly enough.I wish them every success.

At 18.16 this evening I had the misfortune to enter this shop at the wrong time. I placed an order with the lady at the till for two pizzas. After a brief pause the Italian chef came in from the back shop and proceeded to rant and shout at his partner for having the audacity to take an order! He threw his cooking utensils around like a petulant child whilst cursing the lady at the till. The lady at the till then apologised to me which incensed the Italian chef. He began shouting at me for accepting the apology "in his house" as he felt he had the right to behave in whatever way he wanted. I told him I though his behaviour was out of order an he then took his glasses off and squared up to me! The best bit was when I said to the lady that I wouldn't be coming back but as a sign off I said to her "I'll catch you later". Italian Chef took this as another slight and went mental until I told him it was a term of speech to which he replied "you should learn to speak English!" I laughed at him and left with him shouting and ranting about me laughing! I have been to this takeaway three times before and have had much better experiences but needless to say I will not be going back and will ensure all my family am friends are aware of the treatment I received. Please avoid this place for a takeaway as this guy doesn't deserve peoples hard earned cash.

You can not beat fresh pizza made in a wood oven. Our family has ordered from L'italiano quite a few times and they never disappoint. The pizza is perfectly balanced and flavorful and the fresh ingredients make all the difference in the world. The pasta is also absolutely amazing. Worth every single penny and then some :) I have so much respect for them, coming into our little town and offering something DIFFERENT with such passion and enthusiasm!

This has a medium size menu but everything is so very fresh and cooked while you wait. The pasta is the freshest i have tasted in a takeaway. The pizzas are the best i have had from outside of Italy.Keep up the good work guys

Firstly the staff here are excellent, very friendly and chatty, the pizza itself was the best ive ever tasted! Cooked to perfection right in front of your eyes. Be sure to make the most of their 2 for £20 14" pizzas on Thursdays!

Excellent authentic pizza, just like in Italy, not your usual stodgy UK fast food crap that you can find in every other take away in this hic town . This is how pizza is meant to be. Pay an extra couple of quid for quality product that won't harden your arteries with every bite you take.

Why would you go to a big chain pizza takeaway when L'Italiano is here? Excellent freshly baked pizza in a real log fired oven, cooked to your liking by friendly staff. Reasonably priced and tasty pizza, we've been a few times and will certainly be back.

We've been trying to find a good pizza in the area for a while now and tried L'italiano for the first time tonight. The staff were very friendly and chatted to me while I waited for my order. I found out that the chef used to work at La Favorita in Edinburgh so I immediately knew I could be on to a winner!And the pizza didn't disappoint! Perfectly cooked base with fresh, good quality toppings. Most notably, the "real" chicken, ie. not the re-constituted rubbish that most takeaway pizza places throw on top!!We will definitely eat here again but maybe try a pasta dish the next time as I'm sure the flavours would be spot on! :)

Pizza was lovely but as had fresh leaves on it and Parma it wasn't very warm and it isn't somewhere I can afford to go to very often at 13 a pizza would still recommend trying as prev comments have said very fresh and was tasty

This was the nicest pasta bolognaise I have ever had. The garlic pizza bread was cool, but tasty. Would certainly order again, but woukd like more pasta choices.

I visited here with my partner and we ordered the margarita and a make your own - which was chicken, pepperoni, chicken and Parma ham. They were actually amazing! They are cooked in a proper stone oven and it was the very best of ingredients used. It was lovely sliced chicken breast and not that cubed rubbish you get other places. The staff are very pleasant and I would highly recommend!!!

Newly opened. Proper Italian pizzas made by an Italian in a proper pizza oven. Penne pasta with chicken was quite nice but the pizza was outstanding. Owners are very friendly & welcoming. They do home made tiramisu & chocolate pots too which we will try next time. I hope they do well.
