The best restaurants serving Italian food in City Centre Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Really disappointing. Had gone has had great reviews, but service was flat and not special. Restaurant was chilly, basic set up, paper nspkins, no candles for dinner. Cold bisque which I sent back but no further check all was good. Felt it was expensive and wouldn't return.

Enjoyed exceĺlent meal and wine at this cosy Italian bistro. Pleased to discover a branch in Chester too which we will be visiting

Staying in Edinburgh for weekend and so glad we chose to book a meal here. Very friendly, attentive service and pizzas were very fresh and tasty . Good choice of options on menu and reasonable prices .

Had an amazing meal here! The ambiance is quite cozy and friendly, and the cuisine was excellent. We had a terrific time, so it's a perfect spot for celebrations!

Amazing, best vegan pizza I’ve ever had and I’m not even vegan! Quite pricey but you get what you pay for. Clearly a lot of thought and effort has gone in to creating their menu and it shows. We’ll be back for sure.

Perfect Italian dinner experience. Took a date here last week, and everything was just as you'd want. Great service before and during the visit, very nice food, cosy atmosphere, and in such a convenient location. Highly recommend!

May not have done enough research but I was under the impression that this was a bit like a deli with indoor seating. Turns out the stuff is all premade on a shelf like Tesco meal deal or Greggs sandwiches, they then just heat them up. Also 1 singular table. Walked out within a minute of walking in without food as £7 for a prepackaged sandwich with no seating is expensive.

Had calamari and pizza. Fresh, full of flavour. A+ customer service. Welcoming and lovely atmosphere

So sad it's closed. Been visiting for over 40 years. My favourite Italian bar no . Visited Edinburgh when ever I could to call on bar Italia. So sad

Como mencioné este restaurante favorablemente en una reseña de otro en Edimburgo, sentí que era mejor revisarlo también. Teníamos tagliatelle Vittoria y raviolini con pera, nuez y Gorgonzola. Mi pareja había tenido primero esto último en Turín y lo había hecho en casa en numerosas ocasiones... este también fue excelente. Así era el mío... un plato bastante carnoso. El servidor era servicial, cálido y amable y se preocupó de que disfrutamos de la comida. Sin pretensiones, amables y genuinas son las palabras que me vienen a la mente con respecto a este restaurante.

Este restaurante fue decepcionante en muchos niveles. Pensé que habíamos encontrado un italiano pequeño y agradable, pero estaba tan equivocado. Primero, pedimos limonadas y procedieron a darnos agua de soda. Puede que esto no sea un problema para muchos, pero cuando me dan algo equivocado esperaría solo una disculpa, ya que entiendo que los errores pueden suceder. Esto no fue así. Nos dieron agua de soda porque la limonada en la barra se había agotado y aparentemente fue demasiado esfuerzo ir atrás y comprar una nueva. Sólo lo hicieron cuando sacamos el tema. En segundo lugar, el pan de ajo se quemó hasta el punto de que no era comestible. Cómo lo queman hasta convertirlo en crujiente y luego nos sirven esto no sé. Tuve la lasaña, lasaña más sosa que he tenido. Mi novio tenía el especial de salchichas “picantes”. ¿Tal vez se olvidaron de agregar la especia? Luego agregaron un cargo por servicio, que por supuesto nos negamos a pagar. En general, no recomendaría y no volverá.

Absolutamente asqueroso todo sabía como la caja de cartón, las patatas fritas ni siquiera comen demasiado van allí evitan a toda costa que no valga la pena el dinero
