We needed a place at the last minute after we arrived tired and hungry. Looking for pizza-which we found and more! Great pizza and pasta and great staff and service. Highly recommend.

Really nice Italian restaurant with tasty food and good prices!!

The seafood pasta was out of this world! Lots of mussels, shrimp, etc, and a large prawn, in an excellent sauce.

This place is truly amazing, nice atmosphere and the food is delicious. Both the staff and management were exceptional and friendly. I would highly recommend making reservations for dinner as we we did.

Amazing food, good value for money, no complaints really.

Delicious pizza, very distinctive in taste, you could feel that high-quality ingredients were used. I highly recommend this place, but it is better to book a table in advance.

Had the Gustosa Pizza. Was superb, perfect blend of flavors and amounts. Side salad beautiful blend of greens and simply dressed. Came back tonight and had Ravioli DiManzo. A generous portion and the sauce rich and creamy. Also tries the Torta Dela Nonna for dessert. It was incredible. Only downside is it can be quite loud. That will not keep me from coming back though.

Used to love this place. But still in shock re £3 for peppers and £2 for onion on a margarita pizza!!! That’s some crazy mark up. Won’t be returning, sadly.

Decided to check this place out due to the glowing reviews it got and wasn't disappointed! The grilled Vegetable antipasti platter was delicious, the risotto alle pescatore was divine, my friends pizza very good also and it's a big bonus they do cocktails too! All the good things combined . Would definitely recommend

the food was fantastic, fantastic carbonara, fantastic nduja, fantastic spaghetti bolognese, fantastic Margherita pizza, fantastic sorbet, fantastic limoncello and fantastic grappas, the only negative was how hot the restaurant was when it was full.

Rather disappointing. It’s a nicely decorated restaurant with lots of guests but was not particularly friendly. Portions were variable - The Garlic bread was pathetic - 3 tiny circles of toasted stale bread with a small splodge of olive oil and no discernable garlic. The ravioli was good, but at £16 for 5 pieces of pasta, the value for money was poor. The calzone pizza was good. The final insult being a 10% service charge added to the bill automatically to pay for rather sullen service.

As the kitchen was already closed at 9 pm (also at other restaurants), we still got a pretty good pizza here!

The pizza was great. The service was very nice. However, be careful of the “tip” service fee, as that is already included in the total. You can point this out in a friendly manner and then receive a corrected invoice. And you can then decide the tip yourself.

The pizza was fine, but the lasagne we ordered was not great. They tasted fine, but there was a burnt crust on the bottom of all 3 of them that could not be eaten.

The food was amazing. I got their pan fried chicken with mushrooms and cream sauce. Delicious. The bruschetta was also made me with fresh ingredients. Nice staff. Squeezed us in with no reservations.

Super nice pizza, fast and friendly service. This was a surprisingly great place. The pizza tortadella was delicious.

After numerous great experiences we decided to order a take away. Order took over an hour and when I queried where it was the restaurant then cancelled with no explanation. Absolutely terrible customer service. After having been a regular here for years I will not return. When looking on reviews on JustEat I see many similar experiences ours. Avoid at all costs for take away.

I never place reviews but this pizzeria was absolutely awful. Pizzas were not good (it’s a pizzeria mind you) and the staff was horrible. They were happy to seat you and take your order then disappeared. (Possibly the kitchen delivered the order - def not the server) Do yourself a favor and absolutely avoid.

Appalling experience with this restaurant despite being previously really happy regulars. We ordered 4 pizzas which were confirmed. When they had not arrived by the delivery time we called and were told that they were no longer doing deliveries and our order hadn’t been made up. The staff member we spoke to was unapologetic and cancelled our order on the system before hanging up. Really poor and we will not be returning.

Very good pizza and high quality wine. Friendly service. We found it impossible that a 10% service fee was simply included on the bill. That was 12 pounds for our bill. The amount was only taken off the bill after we complained.

Don’t come here if you are vegan. You have two options pasta + tomatoes and spices and pizza(bread) + tomatoes and spices. You can do better guys. Add some veggie cheese for example. Great service though.

Good selection of stone baked pizza, the pizza had perfect thickness and tasty toppings. The gnocchi sorrento was really tasty, chewy and soft with flavorful sauce. Tried the desserts as well (tiramisu and pistachio cake) but they were a bit underwhelming.

My sister was visiting so we decided to get some Italian food here. We got the SEAFOOD pasta which was just *minced* salmon 🙄. It had become evidently clear why every other table had ordered a pizza. Service was good, the drinks were brilliant 🤷‍♀️

My daughter and I came here for lunch prior to attending the Taylor Swift concert on the Saturday. We had a table booked for 2pm. We arrived early at 1.15pm and we thought we will just check if we can get in early but we were happy if we had to return at our booked time as appreciate they were very busy. We were met at the door by a friendly member of staff (think maybe he was the person in charge). Very pleasant and calm and said if we just waited 5 minutes it wouldn’t be an issue. We were then shown to our table and served in good time. All staff members were pleasant, welcoming and so attentive. I can imagine this isn’t easy especially on such a busy weekend! There seemed to be a high of turnover of customers coming in. We both had pizza which was delicious and could tell was very fresh. I had a cocktail which was lovely too. Great place, atmosphere and staff. Seemed so well organised! Well done Pomo we will be back!

I had the best pizza I've ever eaten in this place! The dough was perfect, thin crusty base and great flavour. I had the Santa Lucia and can not recommend it highly enough. Popped in unexpectedly with my daughter for the first time and left as a super fan!

We ate here as a family of three. The pizzas were very nice and so was the pasta. I would certainly go there again when I visit Edinburgh.

Contacted restaurant as order hadn’t arrived at 8pm as advised on app. The restaurant told me just eat didn’t come to collect and advised that I should cancel the order. Very disappointing.

Portion sizes were good because they were large. 3* because staff were quite rude.

I ordered POMO pizza. This one has four chese with porcini mushrooms and pork roast loin. Bad choise. The only thing i could taste was the gorgonzola cheese. They put like a kg of gorgonzola.bad quality gorgonzola cheese.... first time in my-life i eat less than a quarter of a pizza! My friend ordered the Vegetariana that one was less bad but the vegetables were cut in big pieces. Bad presentation. italian place? Doudt it.they have pizza pollo and spaghetti bolognese ahaha. Service i camnot complain.

I stayed here for two nights in a row when I arrived in Edinburgh. My children loved their pizza so much that they had to come to eat there even after walking for 20 minutes in the rain.

Authentic Italian cuisine. Amazing food. Fast service. Friendly. Mid- range price. Worth the visit. Book in advance. Very close to the Voco hotel in Edinburgh.

Good value for money and very tasty food. My only downside: because I wanted a table for 1 person, I was shown a table right in front of the front door (and then you notice the draft).

I picked this restaurant when I was on a walking guide tour. Saw the sign Pomo pizzeria, looked it up on trip advisor and my husband and I decided to go. The food was delicious. I ordered the Marguerite pizza; had just enough sauce which was mild but flavorful. The crust was cooked perfectly for me; fresh and soft so you’re not chewing forever! My husband ordered their lasagna. Noodles were soft, cooked well and very meaty. The sauce was wonderful and not overly spicey which is perfect for my husbands delicate stomach. Our only complaint is the restaurant was packed so it was a tad loud for conversation. Still worth going if you’re looking for a homemade Italian meal

Great food, great service, good value for money

The gnocchi was good. Nduja pasta didnt taste of much, and was quite oily. I know nduja is oily, but still, 1dl left on my plate. Red wine og the house was good.

Calling him Italian seems exaggerated to me. The meatballs are good because the sauce used is Italian but the pizza is rubbery and really heavy. Mozzarella is certainly not Italian fior di latte but something else. We were sick to our stomachs after dinner. Furthermore, the girl who waits at the tables is very nice but pretends not to speak or understand Italian and I didn't understand why (I speak English and Italian very well and I understand well if they make fun of me).

I came to this restaurant to eat gluten free pizzas and pastas because I am celiac. It was really delicious !!

This place is truly amazing, nice atmosphere and the food is delicious. Highly recommend Gnocchi Sorento and any pizza. Funny thing, the biggest disappointment was pistachio cheesecake. Otherwise a great experience 👍

The best tiramisu I've ever had, pizza is amazing and so many options with Italian authenticity. Staff are amazing and show real care about their work and customer service. Not surprised this is a busy place but no adverse affect on service or waiting.

After seeing lots of good reviews, decided to pop in here for food. Unfortunately my dish was tasteless and I was disappointed. The only positives are the the portion sizes were good and the food came quickly. Wouldn’t go back.

The Mushroom Risotto is delicious! Excellent restaurant, everything we ate was delicious. 100% recommendable!!

Had a long day in Edi, we had our hotel just around the corner, but wanted a decent pizza. Didn't know where to go, been told Pomo is not far. Got there and the place was full! Felt like it's a good choice, so we waited a bit for a table to be free. We had Calamari and Polpette for starters, Gustosa (with some chilli) and Calabria pizzas. The little one had garlic bread and chips 😊 Everything was spot on, from start to finish. Welcoming staff, short waiting time, delicious food, decent portions and fair prices. Definitely going to be back!

Have now been in this restaurant a couple of times and can honestly say its my favourite place to go for pizza.I haven't been dissapoined yet.My mum,who doesn't like pizza!!!!!Always Raves about the pasta,says its excellent. The service is great.As for the pizza it's nice to have lots of different toppings on offer rather than just plain old Margarita or pepperoni(not that there's anything wrong with that)Next time your in the area I would give it a go

We went to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. This place is a pice of Italy in Edinburgh. Great food, great service friendly staffs. I extremely recommend this place.

I went to this place during my holidays in Edinburgh and ordered pasta with fish. Unfortunately I got food poisoning from the fish, I think it wasn't good anymore. While eating I already felt like it tastet different than the salmon pasta I ate in other countries but I didn't really think too much about it. After eating I began to feel more and more sick and this feeling increased until I had to throw up several times during the night. I am pretty sure it was the fish as I didn't really eat anything else during that day and I started feeling sick shortly after eating. It was really sad that I got food poisoning as I had to cancel the highland tour I booked for the next day and spent my holiday sick in bed instead of seeing the highlands. I contacted the restaurant via the online form but didn't even receive a response during the last week.

Being an alcoholic, he offered me the digeo, therefore 5 stars.

The pizzas were super good! The pasta wasn't super hot and the sauce lacked a little seasoning but the service was so good that I forgot the rest. A pleasant French-speaking waiter took great care!

Good food and good atmosphere, good service! Everything was great, I went to eat with my children and grandchildren and everything was great! They also have a gluten-free option, which is very important since I have a celiac granddaughter. We were very comfortable.

Great pizza place. We ordered some pizza to take with us. Got the food quickly. Pizza was delicious. The restaurant staff was friendly and polite.

Staff accommodated us without a prior booking which was appreciated. We ordered pizza and pasta though unfortunately, they don't offer half and half - we were able to request chillis only on one half which suited my husband as he dislikes spicy and I love it. Carbonara was rich, creamy and tasted good though not an authentic, traditional Italian recipe which I expected. Staff look to be very busy and do not seem to have much interaction/conversation with customers other than serving food and drinks but perhaps this is a testament to how popular, fast-paced the restaurant is! Overall I'd give it an 8/10 and if in the area don't think you can go wrong visiting here.

Absolutely stuffed after a starter and a main course. We couldn't finish our main courses due to the amount of food given! The quality of food was excellent. Plus the staff were extremely welcoming!

Chose this place because its near Haymarket Station , suited the travel plans. Warm welcome from the staff and great service . Pizza was very tasty , good choice of beers and wine . An enjoyable luch , will be back

Looking for a restaurant close to Haymarket to meet 4 friends and found this on the internet, booked and gave it a try. When I arrived the restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere, staff were friendly and helpful. Menu is traditional italian, pizza, pasta, beef , chicken and fish. I shared Pizza & Pasta with a friend, Penne aribiata and Polo pizza both of which were really nice and packed a chili punch as expected. Food was reasonably priced, everyone of us cleared our plates and all said we would eat here again if ever in the area. I will be back again and I will recommend this restaurant to others.

I usually do not order meat in a pizzeria, but this was an excellent medium-cooked steak. The staff were efficient and polite. We had a wonderful evening!

Service is great can't fault staff. Always enjoyed our visits but not so much this time. 2 of the meals weren't hot enough and tge pizza base was soggy probably to so with the tinned mushrooms on it. Desserts ate bought it frizen o es. Not made fresh. Lost the Italian authenticity

The day of the Calcutta Cup and the amazing score for Scotland resulted in just about every single pub/restaurant being booked out the streets were flowing with alcohol and supporters dancing it was crazy but great fun. We arrived at Pomo pizza and the place was mobbed but the manager told us to join the others waiting for a table and true to his word he seated us. We could see pizzas flying left right and centre and they looked great but seeing is not always believing. Pizzas are mostly good wherever you go but as a conniseuer of great pizza I wasn’t overly impressed with ours. I don’t know if they had run out of supplies and had to make do with what they had in stock, like using tinned mushrooms or the fact that the tomato base was hurriedly put together using tomato straight from the tin. The problem with that is you get a lot of water with that and while it cooks it soaks through the dough making the base uncooked and the toppings slide off like an ice rink. The overall taste was okay but I want my pizza rolled out and crispy underneath the dough must cook on the stone but I fear this may have been made on a screen. However packed as they were and the staff running ragged I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The service was incredible the team all in unison came together and performed amazingly well checking on us every five minutes topping up drinks always with a smile. The manager looks after his staff they all sat down at a table I could see all eating rib eye steaks chips and salad with a pint each and you don’t see that in many places but he must value his staff highly. I’ll be back when it’s not so busy giving them the benefit of doubt and try it again

Simply delicious. Excellent service. Bustling vibe. I don’t think the pictures of the food do this place justice. We came across this restaurant while walking back to the city centre after a day at the rugby. We managed to get a table which was lucky as it was busy. The food was delicious, and they had excellent staff who were very efficient. There wasn’t a long wait for food. Food very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

We could not recommend this more. We were lucky to just rock up and be seated but it was a Tuesday evening. We will definitely book in advance next time. Fantastic food, value, service and ambience.

Pomo Italian restaurant looks and feels stylish with Italian staff and a large real pizza oven. Hence the pizza was large, tasty, and fresh tasting with (sparingly used) Nduja paste. The house fries were deliciously crisp dry and the sea salt was a perfect accompinent. The down side was the Lasagna. Sadly this was clearly a heated up slice from a large, previously cooked dish. Warmed up in a microwave,it had hotspots and cooler spots with a sauce poured over the top,which masked the heavy, heated up taste. Disappointing for an Italian restaurant that looks this good. All in all,stick to the pizzas and you can't go wrong. Bear in mind the 10% service charge was added on the bill,which should be descretianary!

Unbeatable service, everything very delicious....the very attentive waiter advised us on a menu for the little one since it was not on the menu. Totally recommended.

Pomo was down the street from our hotel and the concierge suggested it. It was very lively and we were relieved to get seated without a reservation. The staff was extremely courteous and we ordered two pizzas and beer. The wood-burring oven in the far corner made a wonderful crust, and the sauce was delicious, as were the toppings. When we complimented the meal, the waiter brought us each a shot of Limoncello, just like they do in Italy! Who knew Scotland would have amazing pizza!

The pizza was excellent. We ordered extra buffalo mozzarella and it made it a little bit harder to eat, but was still worth it! Mushroom Risotto portion was huge (which is a good thing). Lacked a little bit of seasoning but was still really good. We got caprese for starters and it was really good too.

Average basic taste. Stuff very friendly and helpful. You can not call your business an Italian restaurant and serve canned mushrooms on the pizza.... Very disappointing!

The food was great, but I ordered too much: the side-order of chips, although crispy and delicious, was difficult to finish because my pizza was very filling. The salmon linguine proved a hit, also. After a few minutes for rest, though, we both ordered dessert.

Mmunderstand the negative reviews re the staff here. Those that both welcomed and served us were excellent. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I would recommend this place.
