The best restaurants serving Italian food in Scotland

Si alguna vez te has preguntado cómo es cenar en una discoteca que olvidó que ya no estamos en 2007, este lugar te tiene cubierto. El ambiente es oscuro, apretado y más adecuado para cócteles caros y pesar que la comida real. Aparentemente hay una terraza, probablemente encantadora en verano, pero a menos que tengas la suerte de sentarte allí, prepárate para comer tus tiras de pollo en un armario de escoba glorificado con una bola de discoteca. Hablemos de bebidas. Pedí una cerveza local, que llegó en su lata original, como si eso fuera parte de la experiencia. Sabía a pish — y no del tipo de jerga escocesa. El gin tonic de mi esposa fue rociado teatralmente con “el aroma a limón” en la mesa en lugar de, ya sabes, usar solo un limón real. ¿El resultado? Una bebida que sabía a pato de baño, servida con toda la sutileza de un comercial de productos de limpieza. ¿La comida? Bocadillos de bar fingiendo ser una buena comida. Mi “barriga de cerdo” estaba más cerca de un ombligo de cerdo, un bulto pequeño y triste coronado con un rascado de cerdo pretencioso que hacía poco por distraerse de la porción abrumadora. Los muslos de pollo de mi esposa eran realmente solo tiras de pollo disfrazadas de ilusión. Nos hubiéramos ido en el momento en que nos sentamos, pero lamentablemente ya habíamos pagado un depósito en la mesa, el equivalente en el restaurante de ser rehén de su propio optimismo. En resumen: estilo sobre sustancia, e incluso el estilo es cuestionable. Evite a menos que le guste la iluminación tenue, los alimentos decepcionantes y las bebidas que huelen a artículos de limpieza.

Superb. Food and wine is what you'd expect in a proper Italian restaurant. But in Glasgow. I used to have veal Milanese in Sicily, but the chicken Milanese here is of the same quality, and perfectly cooked and served. Absolutely delighted with this restaurant!

The food was good but a little expensive. However, the atmosphere was very upscale and the staff were very attentive.

Had a lovely Mother’s Day dinner here today staff were so nice and helpful and the food was very good and very reasonably priced very clean spacious restaurant would highly recommend and we will definitely be back and the Mother’s Day gifts were a lovely touch

This was my first time in Scotland, and I've been on the lookout for a place to try some new things! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and was swiftly seated. The decor inside is stunning, as well as the glowing tabletops. The service is wonderful thus far. Airlie was my server, she was amazing! Everything on the menu is fairly priced, considering the portion sizes are way above par. I did order a Tutti Frutti Mocktail, and it tastes freshly made and not frozen like so many places do. You can tell they want you to have a great experience. I went with the garlic and rosemary bread and I am surprised at how light it is, but the flavor definitely pops in your mouth. I've eaten half of it before the main course even arrived. I got the crab fettuccini. The service is extremely quick. My main course arrived within maybe 15 minutes of sitting down. Fresh grated Parmesan on top. The waitress recommended the risotto, and I can now see why. The pasta is the perfect temperature, coupled with the crab and Parmesan, it's the perfect blend to make your tastebuds dance. I can't stop licking my lips haha. So happy to say that I had room for dessert! The Sticky Toffee Pudding was recommended, and yet again, another perfect choice. Toffee was poured on top of the dessert, and it was hot, making the dish that much more enjoyable. Ok. I not only LOVE the food, but I finished all three dishes completely. They worked off each other very nicely and when I don't even have leftovers to take home, it is THAT good. Overall a joyful and delicious experience! If you ever take a trip or you are LOCAL to Scotland, definitely stop in here. The service is some of the best, if not the best, I've ever received at a restaurant, especially considering it's aesthetically upscale and the menu seems to be crafted with lots of thought and heart.

Probably the best pizza I ate in UK. Super soft dough,great quality products,absolutely fantastic mozzarela. Very pleased 😁

The Best pizza, realy good food.

A very pleasant place to enjoy authentic freshly prepared Italian cuisine, good selection of dishes on the menu classic starters of Minestrone soup, Bruschetta & others. Great variety of pizza 🍕 the Calzone was excellent, as were the various pasta dishes we had. All menu dishes were reasonably priced & of sufficient quantity, very nicely presented. Polite efficient service.

Food is always fantastic and a great selection to choose from.

We chose the “feasting” menu for 4 persons last evening and we all agreed that there is a genius at work in this kitchen! The creativity in each and every dish was astounding. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for your excellent service and gastro excellence.

Best fish and chippie,,,,was there today and my large fish tea was outstanding and it was very very good value , I will now be a regular customer, the new owner is very polite and friendly,I was well impressed ,

Staff were inattentive when food arrived. I had a problem with my main, took forever to get someone’s attention. The spaghetti was tasteless and the chicken was chewy. Whole meal completely inedible. Told the wait staff who apologized but didn’t take it off the bill. Will not be returning.
