We held my Mum's 'Celebration of Life' at the Plough yesterday and thanks to Paola and Raphael it was more of a lovely party, which is exactly what Mum would have loved. I had told Paola that Mums favourite flowers were pink and they had put lots of lovely vases of fabulous arrangements around the pub, and not just a handful of Tuilips, but great vases of roses and all sorts. We also asked them to offer 'Bellini's' to people on arrival which they did and the wine was delicious as was all the food. The staff were friendly but professional and the chefs worked hard. A sad day was made bearable thanks to these guys and the setting was perfect for our 50 or so guests who sat in the comfortable chairs or mingled around the table and chairs. I would thoroughly recommend The Plough for any occassion. Thanks again to them all.

Turned up for a pre booked lunch with our friends, immediately after they were married in Newbury. Restaurant was closed. They had not bothered to notify us and 6 weeks later there is still no apology! Absolutely disgusting way to behave. Don’t deserve to be in business.

Popped in this morning to get a vanilla iced latte. I felt the waitress had a bad attitude rather than asking customers to pay or hand over their food to be heated she would just gesture by shaking her hand. Secondly when she went to pour my drink I noticed that it was hot I states that I asked for it to be iced. She then said I did not do this and asked for it to be hot - now as someone who hates hot drinks I know I would not do this. Then finally a cold drink was made. She was entering my order into the till she said I had asked for oat milk - again I had to correct her on this and yet again I was blamed. Finally the correct order was made and she slammed my drink that wasn't even filled to the top on to the table and said here you go. I left immediately and regretted my choice of going there and I never will again. £4.50 for a drink that wasn't even filled up properly and rude staff that don't listen and then blame the customer.

First visit following change of management. Excellent welcome, great atmosphere, excellent service and top class food. The pie was exceptional. Will be recommending friends to visit the Red Lion and it will be on our visit again list. Thank you to all the staff

I come to tell my experience so that it doesn't happen to anyone else. I have booked with them through Booking for 5 nights, with the option of paying at the establishment, I normally use this method since I have had surprises when arriving at the places and it is a bit of a way to cover their backs. It turns out that with more than a month left to get to the place, they began to transfer the full charge for the room to the card I had on it over and over again, trying to get 500...400...250 euros whatever they could get. I contact the establishment and they tell me that it is an internal policy that the establishment has (which at no time does it put it in the reservation or in Booking or anything) to which I tell them that where it said that in the reservation, there was never a response. I tried calls, messages, but the only thing they responded to me was through email. I spoke directly to booking to see if they could help me with the situation and they told me the same thing that their policy does not say anything about what they are saying that they would talk to the accommodation. Booking contacts me a few days later to tell me that they have not received a response from the accommodation, what a coincidence just like me, but to continue passing the charge on the account if they appear quickly. Obviously seeing what was happening, I booked another establishment but I wanted to see how far these scammers would go. I contacted the establishment again and a certain Renata answered telling me not to worry that they were no longer going to make any charges except that they would keep my reservation and that everything would be charged to me at the accommodation without any problem. A week later there was the attempt to charge my account again. I contact the accommodation and Renata tells me again that they have not been charging me at the accommodation for everything, and the amount matches the reservation but they have not been clear. Today, with two days left to arrive at the accommodation, they tried to charge my card again and with it they canceled the reservation without communication without knowing anything or contacting me in any way. I have photos of the conversations, of the attempts to charge the account, of the emails of everything I tried to talk about but without success. I hope this helps people who want to go to this site and think like me. So that your trip doesn't get screwed up at the last minute.

Wow what a beautiful little restaurant ❤️ No tables available but was assured if we came back in 15 mins one would be available and it was saved for us! I had a 4 cheese pizza and it was proppppppa cheesy!! All staff are lovely, great background music and stefano was a lovely host! Happy new year and Thankyou for looking after us!! Ps we were not rushed at all which is a great trait to have, staff are happy and relaxed x

My sister booked a table for lunch at 2pm. We were shown to a filthy table with food on the seats and were just ignored. We waited for 20 minutes and nobody even offered us a drink or came to take our order. We ended up walking out. We went to Zizzi’s instead and had a lovely meal in a clean restaurant. Absolutely awful!

I have given Proove Pizza multiple chances—dining in once and ordering via Deliveroo a few times—but each experience has been disappointing. The last time was the final straw; the food was so bad I threw it away. This might be for you if you enjoy barely topped dough and food completely lacking in flavour. Otherwise, I would steer clear. On top of the underwhelming and cold food, my order was missing a bottle of Prosecco. When I called to address the issue, the staff member I spoke to was rude, unhelpful, and openly dismissive, even encouraging negative feedback by saying she did not care. If I were the owner, she would be gone in a heartbeat. I will never order from them again.

I have been here with my partner a random afternoon. The venue is very nice and staff very welcoming and friendly. The manager Patricia and the waiter Vincenzo were very professional and knowledgeable. Food is very nice and amazing pizza and this one is the best place we had in London recenlty. Will see you soon.
