Walking I noticed this small pizzeria characterized by a wood oven. The furniture is typical of an Italian trattoria. The staff is friendly, rapid and attentive to the customer just as you expect in Italy. The pizza is exceptional. The dough is well leavened and, therefore, light. The condiments are of excellent quality. Cooking is perfect. Excellent beer and ice cream also fully satisfies the palate. The account is adequate.

We could not recommend this place enough! We organised our son’s bday party in the area downstairs, it was amazing, the team were incredibly thoughtful and well organised. In particular big thanks to the wonderful manager Danny, she took excellent care of us from lunch till the evening. Every detail was simply perfect, the food and drinks delicious. We used to live in Italy so have high standards on any Italian food and this is the real deal! Everything was so easy, all the guests were happy, the whole team was amazing, the food perfect, this place is a little piece of Italy in central London. Grazie Mille per tutto!

I waited at the door for several minutes. The restaurant was not at all busy. A waiter looked my way and moved on. Then I was waved carelessly to a table by the long window. The menu was on the table. It took me a couple of minutes to choose which pizza, and which glass of wine. I waited. I waited. A waiter looked my way and moved outside and yawned. I waited 8 or 10 minutes more. A passing waitress looked my way and smiled. I got up, thanked the waitress for smiling, and left. I went to the Sainsbury’s opposite and bought some snacks and a drink, and took them back to my hotel room. Thanks for a fabulous evening, Franco Manca, Westbourne Grove.

Didn’t want to pay the “optional service charge “as the service was slow and the receipt said “optional . Manager came over at the table and started screaming at me telling me I must to pay service charge !!and I didn’t have choice ! So awful behaviour especially as was a kids tables our booking ! Also he is supposed to be professional right ?serving on tracking suits and going around treating customer to pay service charge !!! I will escalate this to the head office ! So I had to write this as it’s a great shame that they didn’t deliver the quality we expected from a basic pizza restaurant in our neighbourhood-. First, they were so focused on preparing the take away orders that we waited 45 minutes for one pizza to arrive while they kept up with sending take away and delivery orders. Then when our pizza did arrive it was cold, soggy, doughy and hardly any of the ingredients we had ask for. It was awful to eat and very disappointing. Also the dessert had run out. I’m only writing this as I hope that they will take note of this review and improve their service and serve good pizzas which is why we would want to go back.

The food tasted good, actually really good. However the pizzas were tiepid, almost cold when served. Service is the reason for the stars to drop. It was almost like the waiters would rather not have eye contact with us customers than come ask how we are doing. Only the owner (I assume) was "awake". The pizza and the concept are great though!

I visited this establishment a few weeks ago, on a Sunday night at 9 pm. The restaurant had 3 occupied tables, and the waiter placed us directly next to a couple who were having heated exchanges. Before sitting down, I discreetly asked whether we could sit on a different table, and the answer was a 'no'. All of the 90% of the vacant tables were reserved after 9.15pm , allegedly. My partner and I walked to the restaurant on the diagonal side of the road, sat at a window table, and noticed that no other customers entered Franco Manca after 9.15 pm that evening. The next week a group of friends invited me to their branch in Putney, and I asked everyone to change the venue, as I would never trust this chain again.

We had two different pizzas and a lamb sausage. The pizzas where underdone and had very little taste. The lamb sausage tasted like old sheep. Even worse was the service, that was confidential and slow.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Franca Manca. We arrived at 12:30 and there was only one other person there. The staff were cheery, pleasant and kind! The pizza was delicious with the perfect cheese - tomato ratio! I enjoyed a delicious scoop of chocolate ice cream in a glass! It wasn’t too loud so I personally think it’s autism friendly! There is a window where you can look outside. It was a lot busier when we walked past half an hour after we finished our meal! I will definitely visit again!

Arrived early 1215 for lunch. Choice of tables. Super smiley efficient service. Pizzas arrived very quickly. Absolutely delicious! Cooked perfectly. Very reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyable. Only downside being the loos downstairs are clean but smell damp.
