Costa Coffee in Islington

This Costa outlet is adjacent to the Premier Inn in York Road, a short walk up the east side of King's Cross Station. Pleasant seating inside and good service. Toliet available in Premier Inn by asking for key at reception.

I recently visited Costa Premier Inn London Kings Cross hotel Premier Inn London and had an incredibly disappointing experience. The service was not only slow but also accompanied by an unacceptable level of attitude from the staff.Upon entering, I noticed a lack of attentiveness from the baristas who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving customers. When I finally placed my order, the staff member seemed disinterested and had a noticeable attitude problem.To make matters worse, my order took an eternity to be prepared. I could see other customers who arrived after me receiving their drinks ahead of me, which only added to my frustration. When I inquired about the delay and got the wrong order, the response I got was dismissive and unapologetic.I hope the management takes note of these issues and addresses them promptly. As a regular customer, I expect a certain level of service and courtesy, and unfortunately, my recent experience fell far short of those expectations.

Like most Costa's in London, they have delicious coffee over here! I especially love their cappuccinos (they always make sure to add some chocolate dust on top of the frothed milk - the best part!). In terms of facilities, they always have a functioning bathroom since they are linked to Premiere Inn Hotel. I'm personally not a huge fan of the food at Costa in general, though, since most of it tastes like highly processed food and does not appear to be freshly made. A disadvantage at this particular Costa is that if you are a Costa Coffee Club member, they do not redeem free drinks at this Costa. This Costa also has a lot of thefts (I have personally seen ragged-looking thieves walk in and be shooed away by the staff), so please make sure to take care of your personal belongings.

Toasties only toasted on one side just bread on the other. Staff know and don't care. Ordered a cake. She passed it to me with the blade first. She knew she didn't do it right but didn't care. Get some polite helpful staff or train what you've got. Please go and buy some toilet paper. It doesn't cost much. Chairs need a good clean. Deep clean the place. Avoid.

Pleasant coffee shop on the ground floor of Premier Inn London King's Cross. Clean and quiet on a Saturday afternoon in June. There is step-free access and seating, and a baby changing room. The toilets are a little bit of a trek away from the main restaurant though, but again clean and quiet. Would certainly come here for coffee again.

Small shop with a quiet placing. Was ok but it's a Costa so not much difference than the one 300 yards down the road.

Extremely noisy , not ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet . The clanging and machine running constantly is a part of business which I get but it was excessive on this occasion.

Good place to meet as right next to Kings Cross and St Pancras but out of the way.

Terrible service and morning for the staff member with the glasses, kneeling down and yawning behind the counter Was told the app rewards doesn't work at that specific Costa and was not given any other assistance, I quickly left and so he did back to sleep The app rewards did work on another branch no to far away luckily

Trip coloured by the flooded WC. Told a member of staff who said " I know" and that she was busy. Over priced toasted tasteless baguette

Excellent Costa Coffee venue. Spacious and relaxing for the singleton, family or group. Great staff and nice snacks and foods. Highly recommended.

No atmosphere really, staff where pleasant. Not bad, not good.

Sat 15th Oct. We purchased coffees and cake just before 2pm thinking we had plenty of time. Wrong. Ten minutes later we were told abruptly that they were closing. When we asked why as 4pm was the official closing time, they said it was because they needed to clean the gaff. When I asked another staff member they gave me some bull about low stock levels. Gotta laugh..

It was just off the main road and part of premier Inn but was surprisingly quiet. Excellent service and food but very warm in there, should turn the heating down considering there's an energy crisis.

Nice, not too busy Costa. Toilets are shared with the restaurant and hotel so not too easy to find.

Think staff were in need of customer service training, waited ages while they stood about looking at me waiting to give my order. Then blamed me for not paying for an item on my order...i only ordered 2 drinks and paid card, i can't see or hear due to a disability so wasnt aware i had only been charged for 1 drink.

Supposed to be a Costa shop but could not use Costa points and the staff were obnoxious.

Good location if you want to grab a coffee and quick bite near Kings Cross. It's only minutes away from the station but is off the beaten track so very nice and quiet inside. No hustle and bustle. The bathrooms were inside the hotel so a little bit of a walk from the coffee shop, they were very clean.

Great little place on recharging site, one lad provides a good 👍 service with almost everything in stock!

Excellent service, although be aware closes at 16:00, which caught me out the previous week when I was going to fo a teams call.

This is a wonderful oasis of calm in kings cross. Lovely staff, a great place to enjoy a coffee without feeling rushed.

Great place to meet in Kings Cross. Hotel lobby just a few steps away. Altogether a pleasant experience.

You can't log in your visit with the NHS track and trace ap and there is no paper alternative. You can log in via there site, once you have given name, address, phone number and email to some random site. Not acceptable quite disgusted that the company are using a national in fact world wide emergency as a way to gather marketing information.

I had a white hot chocolate drink and it was very very good.

My feet were hurting and my train was late.....thank goodness for Costa....lovely staff....and a comfortable chair

Place is really nice and very comfortable siting area.

Very clean fairly quiet plenty of plug sockets to charge mobile phones. Only disappointment it closes at 6pm

I’m very disappointed by this Costa. Our drinks were cold, barista was very rude and they didn’t have all the ingredients needed for our drinks, but still charged extra for 2 tiny marshmallows. Other coffee shops in the area. I won’t be returning to this Costa.

As Costa Coffees go this is a good one. It's big and is part of the Premier Inn. It flows in to the reception of the hotel making it feel even bigger. There's a good amount of seating and the usual Costa Coffee stuff. Cakes sandwiches and surprise surprise, coffee. Good service. Clean. Good place to meet people.

Consistently good coffee, trong and tasty, very busy but always found a place to sit, drink preparation was very fast.

I absolutely love this place. Its my new favourite local costa. I pass 2 costas on my way here because the cortados are always perfect. The staff are amazing and it’s obvious they are being led by inspirational managers. Its attached to the premier inn next door and is part of the restaurant and hotel set up however it has its own entrance. Opposite the station. Good comfy sofas and chairs, attracts tourists, hotel customers and locals alike. Quick service and clean throughout and the coffee is made with effort. There’s a girl there who goes out of her way to make me an amazing drink and nothing is too much trouble. You won’t regret your visit.

Checking in rather early at the attached Premier Inn we chose two coffees and two chocolate muffins as a stop gap before dinner. Coffee was as good as normal but the muffins were rather undercooked at the side and rather a lot didnt want to come off the paper case. Staff were assiduous in clearing tables at the first chance. Not the best Costa, but far from the worst.

We order a cappuccino and a latte , we had to throw them out. Maybe was the shop or we got bad luck .

Great location as no other decent coffee shop around. The snacks were fresh and in line with what you would expect from Costa minus the rush!

Traditional costa place in the entrance to a hotel chain. Just off side of station and usually space in here. Staff are helpful and the bathrooms are great.

Love Costa, their Coconut Flat White is absolutely delicious. Staff are pleasant and friendly, even at drive-thru.

My go to your all kinds of bites and coffees, perfect cheese toastie, the best Mocha in town and goats cheese paninis are on mark

I never can wait to the to the UK to have Costa Coffee. I do drink Starbucks in the U.S. but Costa is the very best!

Nice smallish unit attached to the hotel, but usual high Costa standards.

What Bliss !!!! No screeching MUZAK this morning and I could really enjoy my time there before I head out for the day. I should add the staff at this outlet are a credit to Costa .

Best coffee but very expensive.

Costa Cafes waren immer ein Fixpunkt bei London Reisen - sie ware eine der ersten die drinkbaren Kaffee in London verkauft haben. Der Cafe schmeckt mir nach wie vor sehr gut und in diesem Lokal läßt es sich auch gemütlich sitzen. Vorteil ist auch dass das Cafe integegriert ist im Premier Inn Kings Cross - wer das ausgiebige Frühstück nicht buchen mag der kann sich einen Kaffe/Tee und einen Snack besorgen - sogar im Pyjama

Good atmosphere, relaxed. Espresso is the similar thing to italian coffee. Good 😊

Its ok nothing special. I will not return to this venue again. The staff is friendly but the hotel's policy are not great. It is a shared environment and they pick and choose when to apply their policy. Some days the coffee shop is packed and I normally go to the reception area of the hotel but apparently its not allowed according to their policy which I have not seen yet. Its awful to be starred at by the hotel staff and you feel unwelcome.

Staff were very disinterested, and they managed to put all the drinks into disposable cups, rather than regular 'sit in' cups. But, it is a Costa, you know what you're getting when you walk in.

One of the quieter branches in the area as it's tucked away off the main Street however does have limited seating. Friendly staff and fast service with the usual drinks you would expect from the high street chain with cakes and sandwiches also available

Not the worst, not the best. At least you know what you are getting when you go to a chain. Hot chocolate was good. My husbands pastry despite being heated up was still inedible. Can get very busy so a bonus if you can get a seat.

Stopped for lunch after a long train ride. Visiting London for my birthday the staff made my day by giving me a cake! Such a lovely thing to do. Really brought a smile to my face. Thank you

If every Costa was like this location then world domination would be inevitable. The staff, the service, the ambience, the seating, the lighting, it's all perfect. I don't just mean great for a Costa... It's way beyond what you could expect from any coffee shop.

Un dia fuimos al starbucks, otro a un pret a manger... pero los 3 siguientes nos quedamos en el Costa Cafe que tiene el propio hotel "premier inn kings cross" (donde estabamos alojados) y estaba mejor de precio, mejor de calidad y se estaba mucho más a gusto porque no estaba tan masificado como otros locales. Asi que lo recomiendo. Ya que incluso el cafe y el cappuccino nos pareció más bueno que en otras franquicias (aunque eso ya va a gustos)

Situated inside the main foyer of the Premier Inn this venue is ideal to meet with others for hot drinks and snacks. It complements the facilities of the Premier Inn with staff that are effective and efficient.

After sightseeing is was great to be able to relax and have a coffee and cake. The staff were courteous and friendly.

Just a stone's throw from the station but all together more relaxed and spacious. Disproportionately outstanding service, well above what you would expect.

I used to visit this place frequently over a year ago. However, they have refurbished the place well and created a modern stylish coffee shop. A great location in York Way just to the eastern side of the station and no more than 2-3 minutes...

Lovely staff this morning...price FAB....will be back tomorrow morning for more COFFEE!

Laid back atmosphere, no crowd, no queue, nice cortado.

For the box box choices (Starbucks, Caffe Nero, and Pret) Costa stands out on a variety of levels. Large cups of coffee are available, well made, well-trained staff. The rewards card is a bit clunky in that you can just scan when its your turn and you have to wait for a prompt. Even after the prompt you still need to check to make sure it connected.

Love how I can always get a seat there. It's off the beaten track and very relaxing.

Clean location, not too loud, nice atmosphere. Worst Wi-Fi of any London cafe unless you pay £5 for the premium version. 0.52 Mbps / 0.25 Mbps. Feels like 1990s AOL dial-up.

I was there for lunch with my friend and my daughter, I asked for a first latte then I got it very weak but I drunk it anyways then I went to ask for another one for my friend but I asked for a nice one because mine was too weak and white but I got even weaker than mine and whiter, both a black guy and east European girl who works there were rood and kept telling us that we have to pay for another shot to get stronger coffee, I told them that my problem is not the 25 pence but that the shot they are making is very weak and watery, I always drink same coffee in Costa and I like Costa and its coffee, then there is usually a very professional staff with a good attitude but those two were unprofessional and rood, they didn't deliver a good customer service , we even ask to talk to the manager and they said that she wasn't there and we can complain through a number that it was in the receipt! i will continue drinking my coffee in Costa but definitely not this place again
