This a right outside the tube station. I came on my own, I was almost put off by the price, £6.90 for a pasta main course in London! A pint of lager was £7.60 It was fine though, a really rather good, and generous bowl of carbonara and they don't skimp on the parmesan. Perfect before an afternoon's walking and sightseeing.

We were 4 Italian sand we found a good deal for dinner set menu, pizza is good from wood fire oven, great service and friendly staff

We popped in for a quick meal before meeting friends as the menu looked good and reasonably priced. We both had pasta, my partners was bland, and mine was just disgusting. Pale and verging on raw bacon with a bad sauce. The only reason this isn't a 1 rating is the decent service. The low cost of the food (for London) did not make up for the quality of the food.

We visited this restaurant one Saturday night, last minute idea as we were walking past. We looked in the window and everyone inside was smiling laughing, very jolly. It transpired that there had been an Arsenal match an hour before, and the restaurant was full of happy Arsenal supporters. The place was full, minimal staff, all somehow managed to keep up with all orders, and our pizzas, garlic bread (and Peroni) really hit the spot. Definitely recommend.

Live in the area and everytime I go into this place, the staff are always incredibly polite and kind. Considering how pricey Angel and Highbury has become in general, here is very reasonably priced for great food. Will continue to come back here!

ONE TO AVOID. Ordered a meat ball spaghetti, omg, it was the most horrible thing i ever ate. meat ball was off...meat was loose and tasted aweful and had a foul smell and tasted bitter and pungent. pasta sauce was runny and tasteless. ONE TO AVOID

Went there with my girlfriend had a lovely tasty lasagna she order a lovely pizza have to say the wait for the food was amazing 10 to 15 ish minutes was perfect quick service very friendly and welcoming the owner/manager was friendly will be going there again I recommend to everyone!!!!!!

Sadly was sadly very disappointed by this place. The chef / manager his attitude was very unprofessional when mentioned his toast was fried it didn't taste right( it was more like fried bread) He got so upset. He was rude to my wife. All I can say I wouldn't go there again . After reading many reviews about people's experiences it confirmed what I experienced. Before going to this place check people's reviews esp why people weren't happy and then you . decide.. Please don't go there if you want to enjoy food.

We went to this cafe to enjoy a good breakfast, my husband wanted Earl Grey tea and was told not enough Earl Grey tea? The breakfast was disappointing My husband asked the manager a question regarding one aspect of the breakfast, the manager got angry in his communication and was rude and dismissive towards me. I don’t recommend this restaurant. Please read other customers reviews on this restaurant before going there to eat. I must add, I have eaten at this restaurant before about 3 years ago with friends, it was a different experience. I hope this manager/owner will take note of peoples reviews and act on them. It is in a very good location especially with the amount of people that walk past it on match day. He could do very well if he changes his attitude towards customers.

The pasta were the worst I have ever eaten. Waterly and no taste. Because there were nice comfy chairs and noone were in the restaurat, I thought we could have a quality time... Wrong! The manager was upset when we said the starter tasted funny. He said he did not cook just fried... so he cannot do anything abou it. I think the oil was not fresh but he did not know..He said often customer do not want to pay after eating. WEll, I do not blame them as I did not want to pay as | could not eat much as it was awful. We had to go to another restaurant to eat another dinner. We were the only customers at the night. It says something...

Love the food here but one thing I have found is you are rushed , I was still eating my starters and they wanted to bring the main meal out , I hate being rushed when I am enjoying a meal

A good place for pizza before a match at Emirates stadium. It was pretty busy on match day, so I recommend booking if going on match day. The service was prompt and the food hot. They aren't officially open on Sundays but if there is a match at the stadium, they are normally open.

We visited yesterday and were really disappointed. Very average food and no one cleared our plates even though no other customers in the restaurant and the staff took a loud video call instead. As a result we didn’t order dessert and coffee which we had planned too. Decor fine.

Had a lovely meal last night at La Pasta. Had the carbonara and gung-ho pasta. Friendly staff, good sized portions and also very quick. Right by the station which makes it easy to get to. Grabbed a meal before going to The Garage for a gig.

I start saying that the food served is not Italian. I'm sorry but the pasta and the pizza and the ingredients used are not italian. The food was also tasteless. Did not like at all! I'm also very surprised about the positive feedback I read.

Friends of our wanted to try this restaurant.. and being pasta we thought it would be a safe bet ... we were wrong the carbonara was hard.and very little sauce our friends spaghetti was under cooked and the calzone i had was harder than the plate with tomatoe sauce all over the center of it which made it soggy... ...after a moan about the food ..all we got was a shrugged shoulder. not a nice experience so won't be going again ....

Our 1st visit won't be our last. Food was fresh and service friendly. Cannot believe how we missed visiting before.will definitely be back.

All about a brilliant restaurant (written by my 6 year old son) Today we are talking about this restaurant, La Pasta. It is an awesome thing with all types of pizza and pasta and the men are very nice. One of the men just jokes about by saying he only lets Arsenal supporters in. La Pasta has a clock and an Arsenal badge. La Pasta also has some flowers on each table and a toilet downstairs. There is a passcode for the toilet. The passcode is [redacted]. The last thing about La Pasta is that there is a cheese machine.

My experience at this restaurant, can only be rated as 10 out of 10. We were greeted by welcoming staff, and the food was delicious. Even the salad was 10 out of 10. They have a 2 course meal for lunch and dinner, very reasonable prices. I thoroughly recommend this place.

We we’re travelling back from Newcastle to London and decided to stop by for some refreshment and food. This is a very authentic Italian Restaurant with freshly prepared and home made Italian food. Excellent friendly and warm service. Right by Highbury & Islington Tube station. Prices are very fair and a great deal. They also are very speedy with the service so I can imagine if you have a train to catch they would not keep you waiting ! Highly recommended!!

Serving lasagne made from corned beef is simply unacceptable anywhere, especially an Italian restaurant. It was the worst dish I have ever eaten in a restaurant. The pizza was ok but pretty tasteless and the lambs liver was overcooked and hard. The restaurant offers very basic food which should not be difficult to cook to a high standard. Will certainly not be returning!!!

Robert was a pleasant cheerful welcome. He rubbed off his happy vibes on us. The food was outstanding and the caraffe of wine was great value.

We stopped here after going by to check out the Arsenal stadium. The service was quick and it was the best Italian food we had in London!

Hungry and tired, we thought we'd take a shot at La Pasta (having walked past it so many times on the way to the train station). The restaurant itself is a little worse for wear - the upholsery on the chairs needs replacing and the decor is pretty worn. It took a little while for staff to take our order, even though most of the tables were empty. Nevertheless, we looked forward to a delicious meal. Unfortunately, we received quite disappointing dishes. Servings were generous but the pasta was overcooked. The sauce on the Spaghetti Funghi was bland. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, this really isn't the place to go. We had to go up to the kitchen to ask for our bill, after waiting a good while for anyone to serve us.

I really enjoyed my post-match pasta. Great atmosphere, especially when full of my fellow Arsenal fans. Staff did everything they could to accommodate anyone who wanted to eat. I honestly don't know why I keep walking past this place without stopping. I will be back next season.

Amazing food at amazing prices. Went on a not-so-busy Tuesday afternoon, got quick and fast service. Some messing around in the kitchen but that’s Italian babey !!

The reason we choose this restaurant, as the prices looked reasonable and the overal reviews were good. We had a starter recommended by the waiter, very nice salad platter with olives and bread. Then we all had pasta, homemade and very tasty. We had a bottle of wine, water , some coke. We all had desserts. The atmosphere was lovely, the waiter is very welcoming and professional. It was past closing time and they were still happy for us to be there, of course nice tip was given. 4 people (Starter, bottle of wine, main, dessert) all of this £110. WOW. We had a lovely time! It is definitely worth to visit.

This is a disgrace, I recommend the Manager or person in charge get serious help or leave, it was a rainy day 11/4/23, was picking my daughter up from the station, am 3month pregnant and hungry after a busy day at work. I stood at the door read the menu then placed a call to my daughter ( 8year old on the way with my friend) asked her what she would like, rounding up the convo I go in this poor excuse of a place la pasta, as soon as I stepped in this guy shouted " Hello can I help what you want" I motioned with my hand and said" give me a minute " same time. His next words were "no you go, this is not a phone booth" I was so shocked and answered " what are you doing, am on the phone to my 8 year old on the way here for food you have just lost a customer speaking like that" and he replied " you won't be the first " which I replied that explains the numbers in her" the only two other customer there were just as confused. This is horrible no human should be treated like that. As long as I live I will continue to tell friends and family this story to never spend money there, what a mess. Thank I did not spend my money there I would have been so hurt

We visited this restaurant on March 25th for a late afternoon meal before a gig. The restaurant was lovely. Fresh flowers on the tables and friendly service. The food was excellent! We had Bruschetta, Spaghetti with chicken and mushroom in a creamy sauce and lasagne Loved it! Thank you!

To start off with I’d like to clarify we went on a match day, so it was probably busier than it usually would be. The positives are that it was close to the station, reasonably priced and had a good selection of choices. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and willing to help. While we were there we experienced a manager who was visibly stressed and became snappy with staff and customers alike, at one point even telling off a waiter who was taking our order saying he doesn’t want anymore orders to be taken. This was slightly awkward and didn’t create a welcoming feel. We waited for about 15 minutes for a table which wasn’t terrible, but were squeezed in right by the door in a bit of an awkward position. The food wait wasn’t long considering it was busy, and was no more than 15-20 minutes. Yet I feel my pizza was still slightly doughy and not as cooked as it could’ve been. Again all of this may be different on a less busy day, meaning the atmosphere as a whole would improve. I would go here again, but not something I would go out of my way to visit

Had a decent enough 2 course meal, even though my pepperoni pizza looked more like a margarita with a couple dead slices of pepperoni on it, but felt sick after seeing £8 for a pint on the bill! The 2 course meal was £10! Like WTAF!? £8 for a pint!? It's not even west end!! Won't be going back! 💀

One of the worst restaurants in London, probably my worst experience ever! Millions of miles away from what Italian food is, what an insult to Italy. Watery, soggy and disgusting pasta, and the rest. Service non-existent and when we asked the chef as to why was the pasta so over cooked and blend, he blamed the oven! The decor is dreadful with a 1950's American Diner style and the seating and chairs were full of tears in the faux leather covering. Avoid like the dread, simply disgusting!

Quite the worst service you could imagine. My grandson and I were going to watch Arsenal and left 90 mins to have a pizza at La Pasta. Over an hour later after having had to go to the kitchen we eventually got our pizzas. Others were waiting for a similar time. It is a complete lottery as to whether you get served in 15 mins or over an hour. Won’t go there again as had to rush when the whole idea was to give ourselves plenty of time.

Service was good and the place was fine but the food really wasn't up to scratch, my pizza was below par and my partners pasta dish was just bad. I would go elsewhere.

Ordered brussetta and the bread was rock hard and there was no flavour to it. Cut my gums. Then ordered a margarita pizza which was awful. When I sent it back I could here the staff say I don't care. No wonder they always look empty. This is not authentic Italian food. My friends pasta looked well over cooked old, not fresh at all. Give this place a wide birth!! No customer service!!

My husband and daughter went to watch a rugby match at Highbury and I decided to have a mooch around the area. I seriously under estimated my walking abilities and and arrived at La Pasta feeling exhausted. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I had a lovely pizza and a couple of glasses of wine. They left me in peace to read my Kindle and I took advantage of the comfort for for around three hours. I never felt any pressure to leave or to order more than I wanted. I felt very relaxed and thankful for somewhere to rest. All the food that I could see being served looked delicious. The staff were lovely. I would highly recommend La Pasta.

I Wouldn't recommend. The food was mediocre. The service was awful. The waitress couldn't answer basic questions about the menu well enough and did not come to the table once to check if everything was alright. I will not be eating here again ever.

We are regulars to this pizza pasta restaurant. Service and food are superb and really good prices for families. We also do order carry outs which are ready in under 10 minutes average. Right by the station and you can ring ahead to order a carry out which is brilliant when on your way home from work and want something everyone will love. My boys enjoy going there and oh yes desserts really good too!

Honestly there is no hygiene at all I’ve been last week to take a pizza I was in rush I couldn’t eat in when i start eating later I found a really big thick hair inside i couldn’t back to the restaurant, but I hope the blond guy will see my review you didn’t wash your hands and you was seating outside cooking area also you doing all services ( cooking cashier …) well I’m not gonna back there and will inform everyone about this bad experience

Don't be put off by the appearance of this place. It definitely needs re-decorating. The ripped and peeling banquettes are a bit grim and should be replaced. But, the food was excellent - they know how to make a proper risotto, and the service was lovely. I don't live in Highbury any more. if I did I'd be there all the time.

We visited La Pasta after watching Arsenal and were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant wasn’t overly busy (mid-afternoon on a July Saturday). The service for drinks/food was a lot faster than most other restaurants, and the food itself was of the highest quality - we went for the spaghetti bolognese and penne arrabiatta. A bit of a wait between main course and dessert as the restaurant had started to fill up, but the wait time was certainly not unreasonable. Dessert was also lovely. The staff were all polite and friendly and the price was certainly worth it. Would be a more regular visitor if I lived locally.

Advertised set lunch for £12.95 for starter, main and soft drink. Ordered an apple juice which I assumed was a soft drink. Was charged separately for that without warning. Communication could be better here. Starter was a good portion but the meatballs were chewy. A shame as I was looking for a regular place to visit for lunch in the area but won't be revisiting.

We found the staff very good and took our order within 10 minutes of giving us the menu The food arrived in about 10 minutes more .. all the food was of good quality and hot and plenty of it ... pudding was 100% same for the coffee ...... prices were very reasonable... all in all a good place to eat for lunch or dinner ... would definitely return to this restaurant 10 out of 10

Just finished our a long walk from the emirates stadium and thought “I could kill for some good grub right now”. We were greeted by two friendly dudes. We ordered starters, expecting a moist, succulent load of calamari. To my suprise, we got a plate full of plants with bits of dry bone (I assume these were the calarmis). The pizza was more burnt to smithereens. Overall Not my favourite experience

A fun and relaxed little place with a warm, friendly atmosphere, but with character too. I ordered a mushroom pizza with extras of sun-dried tomato and Gorgonzola. The manager/chef (or whoever) is a great guy, and I was impressed to actually taste Gorgonzola throughout my pizza, as usually places are so tight these days. And the pizza had some splendid charring and crispiness, delicious! I'll definitely be back here again.

Great family run restaurant with a nice atmosphere, ive worked through a good half of the menu and everything has been of a high standard. Modestly priced and generously portioned, it might not look trendy, but ill happily return here again and again.
